  1. Luger turning on Steamboat at the end of Clash VII is one of my favs. Lex: "No, I don't have any problems, just a lot of pride. Come on Ricky, let's go!" Jim Ross: "Well, Luger's helping him up, OH MY GOD WHAT A CLOTHESLINE!"
  2. It's just that kind of place that you know is always there, and if you just come up with a random question while watching dvds or reading old results, you know you can turn there and post it. I admit, it's a great reference tool. I also believe it's not the type of site you need to visit every day. I like to space-out my visits there to maybe once a week, or perhaps a nice long visit once every other weekend. There's not enough action to warrant a visit daily, however a visit weekly or biweekly lends itself to being able to immerse yourself in several new threads. And really, when you consider it, the site is based on the historical kayfabe era, so there's not going to be a lot of breaking news, per se. It's a site to reminisce.
  3. I date back to rspw circa 1991. Yes, that far. KM is still fun to read. Wrestling Classics loaded me up with spyware and malware back in 2003 and I never forgave them. The discussion level on PWO has IMPRESSED me. You guys are great. Love the 80s threads.
  4. I did. I watched that match thinking Steamboat didn't really care about the larynx injury angle all that much. Loss- did you see any of the Steamboat-Savage stuff in context as it happened in 1987? Steamboat had his revenge matches on the house show circuit. Mania was billed as his "last chance" at the title.
  5. Watched the December 26, 1983 MSG WWF show last night. Who in the hell thought it was a good idea to do a post match interview with Backlund crying about losing the belt, letting his country down and not wanting to go home? You couldn't have buried a guy any deeper than that. Fun show though in the sense that Hulk Hogan didn't exist yet in the WWF Universe. I might try to start working backwards with MSG shows. I really enjoy this atmosphere withou Hogan.
  6. Cool thread. Love reading these. I remember getting the WWF Supertars boardgame for Christmas 1986. Unfortunately, the game itself was brutal and unplayable.
  7. Do really nice quality season sets of Worldwide exist out there? I'd think '85 and '86 would be outstanding with all of the tv title defenses by Tully and Dusty, the Koloffs and Road Warriors, Magnum's emergence. Those have to really be two great years.
  8. I need to check this out sometime. Starrcade 90 is one of the few ppvs from that era that I've never seen.
  9. Wow, I know I'm quoting something a couple of years old, but I wanted to say the same thing. I'm in the process of slowly watching all of the Manias as part of the WWE set that I scooped off Amazon awhile back. I've seen WM9 before, albeit many years ago. Just rewatched Bret/Yoko this afternoon, and I was expecting Yoko to hit a legdrop before the pin. That was definitely missing.
