  1. WTF is going on with Ric? He looks lost out there.
  2. So, I assume Seth vs. Rey is off the table? More bullshit bait-and-switch by WWE. The new era is the old era. This deranged dinosaur of a company will never learn. We need to all pray AEW comes out swinging.
  3. If I didn't know there was a new set, I'd barely notice. Was hoping for more of a refresh than this. Ten seconds in, and the show still looks as stale as ever. As for C.M. Punk, he's a whore. They all are. Did you really expect more from a guy who sold his best friend down the river?
  4. Molly Holly was the best WWE woman of her era, and it’s not even close, but of course she never got quarter of the credit the wildly overrated Trish did. Always annoyed me.
  5. My impression of the Charlotta/Sasha HIAC match at the time: fun match, but not even the best match they've had against each other or others, and absolutely the wrong finish that killed the crowd dead and diminished the overall match.
  6. Looks like Taven is staying with ROH. Apparently, Meltzer said he's making double what the highest paid wrestler in NXT is making, with the potential for it to become triple. Obviously a good financial move, but is it a good career move? I have to imagine Taven has peaked in ROH, and while it doesn't sound like he'd be anywhere near the same level in NXT/WWE, I'm not sure what's left for him in ROH.
  7. Was it me? I hope not. I do think you could have made a case for her back then as the best female wrestler in North America though, or at least one of.
  8. Smackdown got pulled from regular Hulu. Now it's only available with a $40 (?) Hulu Live subscription.
  9. Only 49. According to this, he had a lot of cool gimmicks and a robust life after wrestling. http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/bios/r/richard-bognar/
  10. Nah. PWO isn't Twitter. I've disagreed with everyone here about Mauro, Asuka, etc. and have only gotten mild annoyance and vague dislike from others, so I think it'll be fine. Go for it IMO!
  11. If you watch Smackdown on Hulu, it's been pulled. The only way to watch it on Hulu now is if you have the $40 (?) Hulu Live service.
  12. Well, Seth's Twitter account is apparently gone now, so there may be something to this...
  13. AEW must've really pissed Punk off with their amateurish name-dropping. Unless he's using this to leverage a better deal out of Tony Khan? If Punk is really returning to WWE, my guess is he's justifying it by saying "I work for FOX Sports - not WWE, Vince, Hunter, Steph, or Dunn." Still seems like a weird move though. Maybe he needs the money?
  14. So great that I've already forgotten it. I mean, I'm sure it was a "fine" match, but PWO has this tendency to severely overrate "fine" matches and "fine" wrestlers. Look, I love Sasha - and I certainly like her more than Seth - but I do miss the Sasha of NXT who was the best female wrestler in North America (or at least the WWE corner of North America). With that said, Seth really is the last person who should be delivering that message. (I realize this is all in-character to promote the Becky-Sasha feud, but that doesn't make it any less fun to debate about the merits of each respective person.) P.S. Mauro continues to be the best in the world at what he does, and nothing will ever change my mind. IMO, he should've been the one promoted to RAW, not Dio Maddin or whoever it was. But I assume the only reason that didn't happen is because Mauro is happier in NXT calling that type of product. I still don't understand the announcer shuffle. Shutting out two of the better guys they have - Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton - makes no sense to me. Remember when Kyle Edwards was fired, and his wife called out Tom Phillips on Twitter for "politicking"? Well, how's that working out for Tom these days?
  15. When was Sasha's last truly great match though? Not counting the hiatus, it's been a while. She definitely has it in her to be the best of the best - and certainly better than Seth FREAKIN' BURN IT DOWN Rollins - but it feels like it's been at least a year or more since we've gotten that Sasha.
  16. I don't know, but if he is, 2K Sports needs to license his likeness and create Maddin '21 next year.
  17. Just realized Tom Phillips is missing too. WTH?
  18. Wow, didn't even realize Saxton was out of the equation entirely. What the hell is he going to do now? Pre-show talking head bullshit? I would also like to know who the hell Dio Maddin is.
  19. Hennigan is a surprise. Lawler might be a bigger one. Is Vince afraid The King will jump to AEW and reunite with J.R. or something?
  20. Awesome match. "Dark match," my ass...
  21. Actually, right before ECW, Shane Douglas was a WCW World Tag Team Champion with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat when that still meant something. It was a very good team, and he played it straight as a fiery white meat babyface. No comedy at all. You could've definitely seem him as a credible U.S. or TV Champion during that brief window. So, Paul Heyman's push of Shane Douglas didn't come out of thin air. Douglas had already built some level of credibility beforehand. The idea that Shane went straight from being a "Dynamic Dude" into "The Franchise" is not at all accurate. ("Dean Douglas" was between his two ECW stints, BTW. Throwing down the NWA belt in ECW happened before Dean.)
  22. I assume you're mocking one of my previous posts, but you'll be singing this tune for real NEXT WEEK ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF RAW when THE KING SLAYER, THE BEAST SLAYER, THE RATINGS SLAYER, THE ARCHITECT, SETH "FREAKIN'" ROLLINS successfully defends the title against Rey Mysterio and BURNS...IT...DOWN... !!!
  23. That kick looked nasty
