Xavier is selling the hell out of that, screaming like a teenage girl in a horror movie. Could not disagree more. Revival being cronies to the ice cold Orton lowers their stock and makes them less interesting by association.
-
Finally a payoff to the all of the Dominic appearances. His papi Eddy would be proud of the way he stepped up.
-
I don't think the awful engine has changed since the PS2 days either.

Great carry-job by Cesaro on the lumbering Joe. Graves was good...in NXT. Like every other inch of the stale, predictable, rote, paint-by-numbers WWE product, he has been over-produced into oblivion.
-
Is Cesaro wearing braces like a child or is that just a really shitty looking mouthguard?
-
Prediction: Braun turns on Seth and joins the official, original, ONLY Club that matters to the WWE Universe. Goddamnit, pal, that's some good shit!
-
Seth looks like a fucking tool in that backward cap.
-
So much for him as a savior.

Wow, another match that's an absolute channel changer. Really hope AEW kicks RAW into high gear, but it won't.
-
Way to go, King, giving us predictions that will never actually happen but are much better than whatever we will get.

Becky Lynch has officially jumped the shark. I just cancelled my Funko POP preorder for "The Man." (Full disclosure: I don't get the whole Funko POP craze and have no idea why I ordered this in the first place.)
-
BIG DOG vs. Dolph should've been a rapid fire two-second squash. I'm disappointed that it wasn't.

Breaking News: Mauro is going to be the head commentator for AEW France. AEW Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes said "Mauro's Quebecois patois will be very pleasing to AEW's growing French fanbase." There will be "no English commentary option in France," confirmed AEW Chief Executive Vice President of Talent Relations Kenny Omega, who is Canadian, fluent in French, and will be joining Mauro on commentary (yes, even during his own matches).

In a WarGames match. I know he has his detractors here (you're all wrong, BTW), but I hope he does - and I hope Vince, JBL, or whoever caused him problems last time stays the hell away. Is Mauro willing to work a weekly schedule again though? I remember him saying one of the perks of his new deal was not having to work every week. If Mauro somehow becomes a free agent because of this, AEW needs him, period. I don't know what that means for Schiavone, Marvez, or even Ross, but Mauro would be a huge asset. (Excalibur is a great commentator and should be safe from any shake-ups, even if he does look like a goofy fuck in his ridiculous indie-riffic Shanghai Pierce cosplay lucha mask.)

McIntyre is my prediction as well, after Shane screws KO in the finals. Zzzz. Would love a genuine surprise instead, like King Gable. Even King Ricochet would be okay (and it's in his Twitter handle already, lol).

Zeb Coulter (Dutch Mantell) managing Alberto Del Rio was another head-scratcher. Ditto for Ricardo Rodriguez and Rob Van Dam.

Think of how differently things might've gone if Trips had won KOTR that year as planned. - No breakout Stone Cold promo - Trips probably remains stuck in the dated Hunter Hearst Helmsley gimmick a lot longer, with a cheesy crown added to the act - He may never meet Chyna or become involved with Steph - WCW possibly puts WWE out of business, or at least damages it a lot further, if Austin isn't in a position to become the ace, build The Rock up, etc.

Matt Hardy has reinvented himself successfully several times and has become easily the far more relevant Hardy brother, even though Jeff was always the one earmarked for big pushes. Bradshaw to JBL was also a pretty big leap. Ditto for Jinder Mahal going from One Man Band, "That Indian Guy," and perennial job duty to becoming the Modern Day Maharaja and WWE Champion. His big push evaporated as quickly as it came, but it's still more than 99% of the roster will ever get.

Harlem Heat with Jacquelyn didn't work at all. Flair and Sherri never made much sense to me either. Pairings that shouldn't have worked but DID: Harlem Heat and Sister Sherri, Kevin Sullivan and Jacquelyn, Anderson/Eaton and MPS Hayes (lasted only a few weeks, but it was amazing).

WWE TV 08/12 - 08/18 Poop every other day to stop global warming

Ziggler would not be a good signing for AEW now, but in a year or two when they aren't signing people every week, he'd be perfectly fine as a surprise to pop the crowd and then work a midcard gatekeeper role with a token World Title reign thrown in. Would that overly excite me? Not really. But they could (and probably already have) done far worse. -

No idea who this guy is, but this is pretty funny... -
I think Orange Cassidy has one of the best looks in wrestling. It just screams retro cool. But that Chikara slow-mo shit definitely doesn't have legs on a weekly TV show.

That match with Roman and Murphy was straight fire. So was everything with Bryan. -
Oh what the hell... Here's the match I had in mind, @Jetlag: Bret Hart vs. Bob Backlund - WWF Superstars (7/30/94) How well does this match hold up today? I honestly don't know. But back then, this was so different from anything else the WWF was putting out at the time that I ate it up and loved it. I thought it was an incredible scientific exhibition, which - again - was really rare for the WWF in that era. And that ending...wow. I won't spoil it if you somehow haven't seen it and/or don't know the history of their feud. Their horrid WrestleMania match a year later makes people think this wasn't an awesome pairing (I still don't understand WTF happened there), but they lit up the ring on Superstars and had a very entertaining match at the Survivor Series a few months after this. DailyMotion (split into two parts, crappy quality, but in English) YouTube (better quality but in French)

To be fair, Iiconics vs. Bellas would have been a fun program. Middling in-ring, to be sure, but entertaining on the mic.
