  1. Except, this match would be in Toronto, which has historically been "bizarro-land" for fan reactions.
  2. Luke Evans is pretty fantastic and can mug and overact with the best of them, so he'd actually fit right in with WWE.
  3. I'd laugh my ass, and I can't lie, I'd mark out a bit too. It would be so bad and so absurd, which would make it the greatest thing ever!
  4. Simon Gotch is an ass.
  5. Accidentally posted this in the wrong thread. See: (Yes, this is the second time this week I've done this, for those of you keeping score.)
  6. Wrestling definitely lost one of the greats today... It's amazing to think he was only 43 when he joined the WWF in 1986. He seemed easily a decade or two older.
  7. In this case, the payoff would be Cody beating Spears' ass in the rematch - maybe inside a steel cage. (I'm assuming Spears would win the first match because of the hypothetical Arn turn.)
  8. I hope it's Arn and he turns on Cody. Dusty warned us all about that "walk-behinder," baby!

    AEW on TNT

Hopefully never, because the last thing AEW needs is a homophobic redneck liability like Jay Briscoe. Oh, but "they're good at the rasslin'," so all will be forgiven. To me, signing older indie acts is something that should be done sparingly - and there are already enough others on the roster who fill that quota (SCU, etc.). The only older indie types who should be brought in at this point are the ones who can move the needle and generate positive publicity and buzz, and that ain't these guys. AEW has the right idea going after youngsters like Jungle Boy, MJF, and other "blue chipper" types who seem new and fresh, don't have baggage, and can be built up as homegrown AEW stars.
  10. I get that sentiment, but I still think Stunt stands out. He literally looks like he's 13. I really have to wonder WTF he was thinking. If he was ever hoping to get signed by AEW, he won't now. I can even see WWE, ROH, and Impact all passing on him at this point because he came across as embarrassing and unhinged. When you're as generic and unmemorable as this indie schmuck is, you can't afford any further deficits.
  11. I honestly thought Marko Stunt was a 13-year-old boy when I first saw him at AEW Fyter Fest, and I'm still not quite sure what his role in AEW could or will be. With that said, an indie nobody named Gunner Miller decided to take a shot at stunt for no reason - and sounded like a complete ass in the process. Here's a thought: Instead of trying to bully and tear Marko Stunt down, maybe Gunner Miller should work on improving himself? I've literally never heard of this indie schmuck before today.

    AEW on TNT

Does "you're not gonna to believe who I'm planning on bringing in!" really fit LAX though? There's nothing shocking about them or that announcement. It seems to fit Enzo and Cass more, but I doubt it's them either.
  14. Didn't get to see the show. Probably not going to watch the whole thing. Any must-see matches or moments?
  15. And here I was feeling bad that I took so long to watch the match and post my review. Honestly, this exact thing is what soured me on the whole process the last time - giving people awesome matches, only to be ignored. I realize time is limited and shit happens, but this takes maybe 30 minutes a week - roughly 20 to watch a match and roughly another 10 to write about it. Plus, this is entirely voluntary - and everyone here did, ya know, volunteer. P.S. This wasn't directed toward @NotJayTabb, who at least gave enough of a shit to post an explanation. Sorry if I sound so grumpy and curmudgeonly, but this really is a cool idea and some of the most fun I've had on PWO, and I'd hate to see it fall by the wayside again because of issues like this.
  16. Tenille Dashwood (Emma) has signed with Impact. ROH's loss will hopefully be Impact's gain.
  17. Welcome to the AGE OF ALEXANDER!
  18. Were Usos drunk during that Hobbs and Shaw promotional piece? Either way, they came across as bigger geeks than Seth.
  19. Brock is a geek at heart.
  20. Saudi Dream Match: HBK vs. Goldberg...vs. Dolph?
  21. Worked injury, right? Alexa's theatrics were too over-the-top to be believable, and now this Nikki argument (though they could just be trying to eat up TV time meant for the match).
  22. If anyone thought the Street Profits were cool, here comes King Geek to make sure that doesn't last.
  23. Gee, I wonder why WWE is suddenly promoting NXT on Wednesdays. Couldn't have anything to do with a new Wednesday show coming to TNT this October, could it?
  24. I hope The Usos are suspended and made to sit out the rest of their contracts.
