Any idea how well the new site and Roku app work? That's the only reason I never subscribed, beyond the month I bought and returned the horrid Fire Cube. Does NJPW World still have the dumb billing system where you can subscribe on the 30th and then get charged for a second month on the 1st?

Not crazy at all. I got Bret Hart 2.0 vibes from Jinder tonight. Look at the way the fans were "WHAT"-ing him at first, but that stopped as sooner he got rolling. Absolute mastery of his craft on the mic. Even more impressive, to me, than The Rock was tonight. Yes, I'm serious. I think this gimmick has legs if it's pushed. Hopefully it wasn't just a one night thing so he could be used as cannon fodder for The Rock.

Bubba, half the fun of the Rumble has been the random surprise entrants. They've gone away from that in recent years, which makes me sad. Tye Dillinger would absolutely in line with the spirit of past Rumbles, and it'd be a good pop and fun moment. Also, proof that AEW got a fun midcard attraction handed to them on a silver platter and had no idea what to do with him. But this is the same company that never truly took advantage of Bryan Danielson, so it would be a miracle for Shawn Spears to make any headway. Why? Because "reporters" said so? Just like they said Punk wasn't returning to WWE. How'd that turn out? Sasha could end up elsewhere, sure, but I wouldn't base my assumptions on what wrestling sites have to say.

If they can get more money from WWE, they should go. In every other respect, it would be a lateral move for them. They're career midcarders, period. No, they can't be more than that - other than maybe a cup of coffee at the top. They've both been exposed badly, and the shine is off. What Andrade did in Mexico doesn't mean he can do the same in U.S. Totally different market and style. Not everyone can cross over like Rey and Eddy. Fun wrestlers, sure, but that's a long line.

My thoughts exactly. The promo didn't knock my socks off, but it was clear he was going the Cody babyface route, just with less sincerity (don't @ me about Cody's "fake crying" - I don't care). The important part of this promo was the seemingly "throwaway" line at the end about being there to make money and not friends. That is the real CM Punk. I think he knows exactly what he's doing and he's playing the long game with his character.
