  1. Bray was no longer The Fiend by that point. And I contend that the Pitch Black match, while obviously no wrestling masterpiece, would be more fondly remembered if not for the Mountain Dew tie-in. The visuals were insanely cool.
  2. Season 1 of NWA Powerrr >>> This match
  3. Point taken, but in the case of the useless DeMott, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
  4. He sucks, YEAH!! #BillDeMottWasRight (about that and nothing else)
  5. This is the epitome of a nothing match. At most, we'll get a DQ win for someone else as a "surprise."
  6. LEX LUGER TOSSING YOKOZUNA ON THE U.S.S. INTREPID
  7. TK never should have lost Cody, Punk, or Jade.
  8. My bad - I misread. Mia Yim was cool. Michin is a geek jabroni.
  9. Michin.
  10. Does TNA really have non-competes?
  11. Unfortunately, every form of entertainment has horrible people in it. No one stopped watching movies because of Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Woody Allen, etc. (although it's certainly easier to stop watching their movies).
  12. While you're not wrong, the sad fact is they gain nothing by saying anything - except maybe putting themselves in danger of a lawsuit. The U.S. is very litigious.
  13. The rapist, predator, and sex trafficker has tendered his "resignation." https://deadline.com/2024/01/vince-mcmahon-resigns-rape-lawsuit-tko-group-holding-sex-trafficking-1235805961/
  14. "On pause." That's corporate-speak for "We'll be back when the heat dies down."
  15. He says he doesn't want a long career anyway, so who are we to judge? I'm no fanboy of the guy, but I'd argue he's doing far less damage to himself with his high-risk style that Flair did to himself with his drug and booze-fueled lifestyle. Either way, "slow down" by itself without anything specific is such generic, unhelpful advice that I get why Darby would roll his eyes and ignore it. Outside of a solid five-year main event run, you mean? That's more than most people get. Has he improved since then? I hear about his "violent stunts" and such, but that kind of stupid shit doesn't impress me.
  16. She's almost as bad and almost as gross, so fuck her too. I say "almost" just because Vince is in a (low) class by himself.
  17. Darby Allin Says He Refused AEW Veteran’s Advice https://thespotlightnews.com/darby-allin-says-he-refused-aew-veterans-advice/ No idea how legit this site is, but I see it used as a source on Reddit all the time. I went into the article expecting to disagree with Darby, but I don't. This is typical Ric being Ric - nonsensical, cliched, unhelpful, "old man yelling at cloud" bullshit boomer advice. This is why Shane Douglas hates Ric Flair - because of Ric's complete lack of sincerity when asked Shane asked him for advice. Shane is right too. I always sided with "The Franchise" on this one. Thank God. Sami Callahan bitches about NXT and the Solomon Crowe gimmick, but: 1. He was the drizzling shits there. Completely unimpressive. 2. He clearly had things he needed to work on and improve, but he obviously thought he was too good for that. 3. As much as everyone makes fun of the NXT Random Name Generator, I thought the hacking gimmick Crowe got was cool and had potential.
  18. I hope Sable takes him to the cleaners.
  19. A dream come true. Or Mauro and his celebrity doppelganger Dan Aykroyd. This is the way.
  20. Lost in all the Vince news today is that Kevin Patrick has reportedly been fired.
  21. Truer words have never been spoken. Mauro "The Improvement" Ranallo would turn AEW right around!
  22. I doubt it. Teddy Sarandos - Netflix co-CEO - is the cheapest penny-pinching bastard around.
  23. Updated list: Chris Adams Sensational Sherri Terry Gordy Black Saturday Chris Colt The Sandman Earthquake Harley Race Buff Bagwell Brutus Beefcake No Angle after all.
  24. Curious what you mean by this: I'm no Netflix apologist, for many reasons, just to be clear.
  25. Are they though? Cody has never expressly said that, has he? He's said he thinks highly of the Bucks (and Omega) and hopes they feel the same way about him. That's not quite the same thing. For all we know, he agrees with Punk that they're not management material.
