This is a weird hot take.
-
Hopefully this is just for India Saudi Arabia.

If they had Carmella end Asuka's streak via MiTB cash-in, the entire internet would have gone ablaze pretending to care about Asuka and the streak all of a sudden - it would have been truly marvelous to watch. WWE wants to protect Asuka and keep her strong, and there's nothing wrong with that. Charlotte isn't the "monster" type, so this doesn't really hurt her the way it might have hurt an undefeated Asuka.
-
Ending the streak was a mercy killing. No one cared about it - or Asuka - compared to the Goldberg streak, or even the Tatanka and Ludvig Borga streaks. It was epitome of forced "history making" on WWE's part. I don't think this hurts Charlotte at all. She had a tough match two days ago with very little time to recover, got attacked tonight by debuting wrestlers she wasn't expecting, and Carmella took advantage of the situation. As far as bullshit MiTB cash-ins go, this is one of the least offensive.

IMO, if anyone's earmarked for a future singles push, it's Kofi. It's always been Kofi. Kofi gets to: - be the sole New Day member on the WM advertising (2016 or 2017) - make solo appearances like WWE Photo Shoot (WWE Network show) - have a memorable Royal Rumble spot every year etc.
-
I found the New Day interview: http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2018/0407/638708/the-new-day-on-what-they-call-people-who-want-them-to-break-up/

I read somewhere from one of the New Day members that they feel there's no need to split them up because they can still achieve their singles goals while together. I agree. Edit: http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2018/0407/638708/the-new-day-on-what-they-call-people-who-want-them-to-break-up/

BRAUN is indeed the answer, but with two World Titles, Joe's chances are as good as anyone's - the ice cold Nakamura got pushed into that spot despite being completely underwhelming on the main roster and giving AJ Styles his worst big match on PPV (not counting the ones with KO). I'm not saying *I* want to see Joe in that position - Nicholas would be more interesting to me than Joe - but to say there isn't a chance seems inaccurate to me, especially in a year that Ronda will (probably) be the true main event anyway.
-
Nah, I don't see Bryan going to Raw. He was clear even before his previous retirement that he wanted to make Smackdown his show, and this was years before they brought back the brand split.
-
Am I the only one who thinks Bryan vs. AJ is really just a setup for some KO/SZ shenanigans?
-
A Lashley World Title run hardly excites me, but there's a difference between a run and making him "the guy." He'll never be "the guy" but he'll get a run. No big deal, other than making the worthless Universal Title picture even duller. Joe vs. Lashley at next year's WM? I'm getting sleepy just thinking about it. In the meantime, the Joe vs. Roman feud could actually be compelling. I've been waiting years for Joe to position himself as a Samoan outsider - the ONE Samoan who ISN'T in the Anoa'i family. I'm not a fan of Joe, but that practically writes itself. Now I kinda wish they didn't waste the absurd "Vince's boy" storyline on Lesnar, when it would be perfect for Joe vs. Roman.
-
I created these if anyone wants them. I like them so much that I almost want to start rooting for Joe.
-
Agreed. I erased my Joe post before I saw yours. It's better left for another thread (or not at all, since I actually deleted it and can't get it back, lol).
-
Since people seem to know me by who I don't like, I'll get a jump on the next person and point out ahead of time that I also don't like Kassius Ohno. (My dislike of Adam Cole doesn't seem controversial 'round these parts.)
-
Aren't the vacant Raw Tag Team Titles being decided in Saudi Arabia?
-
This will happen on any board. You sometimes post something and it's "ignored." Or, worse, you're the last post in a thread and you feel like you killed the thread, lol. But no one is ignoring you and you didn't kill the thread (unless you're this guy ) - these things sometimes happen. One tip: Try uploading an avatar for yourself. They might make your posts more noticeable. I'm not sure if that kind of thing matters on this board, but it's definitely had an effect on other boards I post in.

Now that you guys mention it, Cole's face IS pretty fucking annoying. I'd say Roode has the better entrance and character, but it all evaporates once he's in the ring. Cole has no discernible character that I can see yet, but he's okay in the ring. In a more gimmicky era, I would've cast him as a David Koresh cult leader type. That's who he reminds me of, and I think he could do that type of role a lot more justice than the putrid Bray Wyatt. Hard to say who has the edge between Roode and Cole, because I'm so apathetic about both of them.
-
Along with "THIS IS AWESOME!" and "F-E-D!"
-
You guys all realize Aries will bail on them in a few months too, right? He should change his name to Captain Complainer. He's not as bad as the useless Low-Ki, but he's not someone I'd build a fed around either.
-
Brock re-signs and Nicholas goes back to fourth grade. Not a fair exchange IMO. I'd take the kid over Brock any day! As for No Way Jose, while that's not an "exciting" call-up, he did improve nicely in NXT. Hopefully Vince will eventually shorten his ridiculous name to just Jose like he did with Elias, Big E, Cesaro, etc. Edit: Ember got called up too. Yawn!
-
Not the case for me. I've only seen one Adam Cole match in ROH. (It might've been the one where he turned heel and won the title on that free iPPV - that was him, right?) I just think he's been a bland indy geek in NXT. TakeOver did him no favors - especially winning the NA Title despite being one of the least interesting and memorable people in the match. His facials are also goofy-as-fuck. With that said, this was the best he's looked in NXT so far - smooth ring-work and good selling.
-
Am I supposed to know who that is?
-
Same here. I'll never attend Mania now that they're this long. The thought fills me with dread more than excitement.
-
To be fair, when I attended Supercard of Honor II, I felt like I had gotten the bargain of my life paying $25 for five hours of wrestling. Of course, that was before the era where every supershow was excessively long.
