I think we see how the match will go now. Young Bucks and ReDRagon (dumbest name ever) will be so obsessed with each other that the champs slip by with a win. Since there's no reason whatsoever for a title change, that's what I'm thinking (and hoping for).

More noticeable for me with Nick Jackson. He's almost unrecognizable now.
-
I'm not sure if it's endearing or off-putting that Kingston's gear makes him look like a WCW Saturday Night jobber.

King and Matthews are far more interesting as characters and better in-ring than Black IMO.

I liked Erick when he was Bryan's lackey and wore music shirts. Wish we had seen more of that.

Prediction: Christian wins the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match 1. He's the best and most deserving wrestler in the match, by far, bar none. 2. A young boy and AEW pillar like Sammy would learn a ton and gain invaluable experience against one of the pillars of the Attitude Era in Christian. 3. If they want to go the distance with Sammy, Christian makes the most sense as his next challenger. He can afford to lose, which is not something you can say for most of the others in the match - Wardlow, Keith Lee, etc. 4. Christian being in this match = instant purchase for me to see the Instant Classic in all his glory!

I couldn't miss this show. Hoping B/R has no issues. I was able to order the show through Roku and pay with PayPal that way, and it shows up on both the Roku app and B/R site and app. Handy if you prefer PayPal, like I do. I know you can do some fuckery with VPNs and Fite to get it that way in the U.S. cheaper, but nah, too much work for me and I'm fine properly supporting a show this stacked. AEW has earned my money.

There are shirts of Britt Baker bleeding like a faucet. Not my thing, but people buy them and wear them. There are Bullet Club shirts, which I've always thought must come across very badly to anyone who isn't familiar with wrestling.

These are the best kinds of feuds, TBH. #ShampooCommercial

Have you seen Peacemaker? Cena has serious acting chops!
-
Cena has shocked the hell out of me recently. "Peacemaker" is great, and Cena has proven himself to be a genuinely good actor. "Money Plane" was one of my favorites last year - maybe for all the wrong reasons, but still. Yeah, Edge's facials are the goofiest shit ever - always have been - and this movie does nothing to convince me that he is any kind of actor.

Not that I'm in a rush to defend as a company as unprofessional PWTees after they failed to disclose a website breach to their customers for many months, but I highly doubt they got that design idea from a random fan - it kind of created itself after MJF showed up on TV with the bloody hand print on the t-shirt.

I'm guessing Vince was always the plan, but it wouldn't surprise me if Kane was originally slated to do it and got replaced because of his recent Mayor Jacobs buffoonery on Twitter.

I've never been a huge fan of Adam Cole, but he has presence, carries himself well, and sounds believable on the mic. The NXT feud with Kyle O'Reilly really highlighted Cole's strengths in those departments and O'Reilly's weaknesses. Their joint dueling promos were like Robert De Niro sharing a scene with Carrot Top.

Under-the-radar wrestling book recommendations
C.S. replied to Cross Face Chicken Wing's topic in Pro Wrestling
I've been reading Sabu's book. I'm about halfway through, maybe a bit more. One of the pleasant surprises is that it also functions as a mini-biography of The Sheik. Another pleasant surprise: My BS Meter hasn't really gone off while reading this. Sabu seems very honest and forthcoming. He even admitted to being a drug addict, for example. While this autobiography is obviously designed to paint him in the best light, as most are, it really is a shame that he doesn't get the credit he deserves for how innovative and influential he was in his career - and never really got the big money contract he should have, because of Heyman and his fuckery. This has served as a reminder to me of why everyone loved Sabu in the first place. It sucks that he's presumably too old and broke down now to benefit from a run in AEW, ROH, or even something like Impact or the NWA. -
Not so rare. He apologized to China last year. He moronically criticized Rock for "selling out" to Hollywood. He agreed to look like a total knob on Total Divas/Bellas for six years. Cena wants his game to be as professional and polished as Rock's, but he has never come close. Ironically, Cena might be a better actor than Rock now after seeing what he can really do in Peacemaker.

Not nearly as controversial as Kane's profound, monumental stupidity, but John Cena is getting some backlash for hashtagging his show in a tweet about the Ukraine.

Jeff Hardy said "fuck that guy" about the YouTuber uploading the interview he conducted with Jeff, where Jeff himself revealed he was going to AEW. The poor YouTuber feels bad. Real swell of "nice guy" Jeff Hardy to after someone who appears to be a teenager (or maybe a little older) when Jeff is clearly the one at fault. Original interview:

WWE TV 02/21 - 02/20 ARE YOU EXCITED FOR THE NEWEST WWE REALITY TV SHOW???
C.S. replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Agreed. I have no problem with celebrities being used - they always have been at WrestleMania - but they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel with Logan Paul. -

I'm sure it was BS, but still, if you look at both Logan and Jake, Jake seems like the bigger, tougher, more wrestler-y dude. I personally wouldn't bring either of them in, but if forced to pick one, I'd go with Jake.
