  1. Cody probably told Randy it's a tribute to him.
  2. The video packages are so damn long I was able to defrost and season my steak before they were done.
  3. I'm not in the least bit interested in this show - no stories, no stakes, it doesn't matter who wins or loses - but I have nothing else to do, so I'll watch anyway with sub-zero expectations and hope for the best. At least this gives me an excuse to cook a nice steak.
  4. The Broken Skull Sessions with Cody Rhodes hit the Peacock Network today. AEW gets surprisingly more airtime than I ever would have expected - at least a good 20 minutes or so - but of course don't expect anything controversial, but Cody does provide some interesting insights into the balancing act between being a wrestler and being an EVP.
  5. Bubba might be right. From Cageside Seats: Samantha Irvin was in the ring announcing her arrival and made sure to say that Evans requested everyone in the crowd show the proper respect and stand up and applaud her as she came out. The fans reacted by falling in line and cheered her like a returning hero, but it seemed at odds with the entire presentation of her in the stories leading up to this. Perhaps she’s still every bit the character she was in the past and we’re going to see that soon enough? Wouldn’t that be something?
  6. I think it should be crystal clear by now that TK never had any interest in keeping the people who were champs before ROH was bought over, either because they're already signed elsewhere or because he wants to remake ROH in his own vision (which is fair enough since it's his money).
  7. To be fair, they did try with Enzo. Before you say, "But Enzo couldn't work, brrrrrrother," maybe not, but he was still a bigger star than the rest of the 205 Live roster combined.
  8. Does look like him, lol, but it's actually indie wrestler Luke Hawx. Who the hell are the two between The Undertaker and Sheiky Baby, and the two to the right of Mankind?
  9. Rumor killer: Not dead.
  10. Right, he didn't, which is why I asked. Using Adam Scherr, period, doesn't make any sense right now - but NJPW doesn't seem to mind working with assholes and #speakingout cases - and as a big hoss, he would've been attractive to them a few years ago, so who knows.
  11. LOL. Oh Lord... What an unfortunate typo. I'll leave it uncorrected though, because you already quoted it.
  12. I assume this is who sex69 is referring to in the OP: Edit: Didn't see the post right above this one.
  13. Because I didn't see the show and wanted to know if it happened?
  14. Did this actually happen? I see nothing in the thread about it. Nothing would get me to boycott Forbidden Door quicker than this toxic asshole getting a spot on it. Can't imagine why there'd be interest from either side. Maybe a few years ago, Braun/Scherr might have been a "get" for NJPW, but certainly not now.
  15. Add Dexter Lumis to the list. WTF?
  16. More from Fightful: Draco Anthony, aka Reginald Chase Crews Sanjana George, aka Vish Kanya Persia Pirotta, aka Stephanie De Landre Paige Prinzivalli aka Blair Baldwin Raelyn Divine, aka Jaylen Williams Mila Malani, aka Kellie Morga Looks like that's the rest of the releases.
  17. MAMMA MIA! I think Good Brother @sek69 would a better fit for the TNT division, and while I manage him to that title, I can also manage Christian to the World Title - with the golden tones of Mauro Ranallo on commentary for both victories. Despite cancelling all fictional programming, Discovery would immediately offer AEW a new 10-year deal for more money if that happened!
  18. Still a difference between that and "as over as The Rock." Come on now, Bubba. Plus, reminder: Blue Pants got insane reactions from the NXT crowd. Let's not overthink it. Vince clearly doesn't respect their reactions or think it translates to the wider WWE, and he may not be wrong in some respects.
  19. What?! Hyperbole much? If he was over like The Rock, he would've been called up months ago and used as a wrestler. He has never, at any point in his entire career, been as over as The Rock. No, in his entire life. He's not as over as The Rock in his own family! That doesn't mean his current usage isn't baffling - it is - but at the same time, he's an aging wrestler who is average in the ring but above average on the mic, so I can kind of understand the mindset of using him as a mouthpiece.
  20. ALI ALI ALI ALI
  21. I feel bad for Jade having to deal with racist idiots like this. Basically, before deleting the tweet, he railed against her "hip hop character" (even though there's zero hip hop in her presentation). Then he doubled down and used the word "uppity." Schmuck!
  22. Dustin is so good that I thought his selling was a legit injury.
  23. Has Dustin worn this gear before or is it new and a nod/tribute to the American Nightmare? Either way, it's liiiiitt - as the kids today probably said five years ago.
  24. Sonya has barely wrestled in a year, so it's probably more ring rust than intentional sandbagging.
  25. I hope WWE does something completely random with the main event like bring back Damien Sandow to be Cody's opponent, but we all know it will be a boring choice or a bait-and-switch angle to further the Seth feud.
