  1. Well, yes, this does suck because it's a massive downgrade for one of the pillars of the Attitude Era but a perfect spot for Marko F'N Stunt. They just apologized: https://www.cagesideseats.com/2022/3/16/22981057/jay-briscoe-apologizes-homophobic-tweet-gay-marriage-changed-religious-beliefs-love-everybody
  2. From Biff Busick (Oney Lorcan) on Reddit:
  3. Dominik will be fine. I think he'll come into his own as a heel. Remember, he's still very young in the business. The David Sammartino/David Flair comparison doesn't really fit. His first match was better than their entire careers.
  4. I assume you posted this to tease me, but AJ Francis would be more valuable to AEW than nameless, faceless geeks like Jay #SpeakingOut Lethal, Tony Nese, Matt Sydal, etc. who are just like everyone else and bring nothing new or fresh to the table that other people in the company aren't already doing a thousand times better. Even Marko Stunt is more valuable to AEW than those guys, because at least he's instantly noticeable and different. I hope Sonny Kiss gets re-signed and used more often. Everyone in AEW should add something unique to the show that's theirs and only theirs. Too many people on the roster simply don't. That doesn't mean wild stupid gimmicks like "Beaver Cleavage" or whatever. Take Keith Lee, for example. There's no one else in the company quite like him.
  5. The camera cuts seem worse than usual in this match and absolutely headache inducing.
  6. Then WTH is Seth doing at Mania? Does he cheat KO out of the interview segment, and then we still somehow get a Stone Cold-KO brawl anyway?
  7. Does Cody actually show up tonight? The fans were chanting loudly for him.
  8. I thought it was uncharacteristically sloppy that we saw the cameraman in the middle KO's promo. Then I realized he was going to get attacked or otherwise figure into the proceedings somehow.
  9. To be fair, I put them in the wrong order. Waltman's tweet was first. Edit: Corrected
  10. Edit: Corrected the order of the tweets.
  11. Speaking the truth! Obviously Swerve is 1000x better in the ring - he has years of experience on AJ Francis - but Top Dolla had incredible charisma, presence, and poise.
  12. Hot take: AJ Francis (Top Dolla) was the star in Hit Row. I don't see what everyone else sees in Swerve. Not that I think he's bad or anything - he's fun in the ring - but so are a million other people already. Still, the "Swerve's House" catchphrase is obviously popular with the AEW crowd, so there's definitely something there. Tony Nese, however, joins Matt Sydal and a few others as "Why did Tony hire them exactly?" head-scratchers. At least with Joey Janela, he has an indie cult following and connections.
  13. Not a good sign being named after one of the Bushwackers.
  14. Did you all watch a different show? I thought this was a lot of fun.
  15. Is Sammy legit hurt???
  16. Two stable breakups/turns on the same show?
  17. I assume this is setting up Adam Cole and Young Bucks vs. Hangman Page and The Hardy Boyz.
  18. Ugh, more Adam Cole in the World Title picture... Just what nobody wants, needs, or asked for.
  19. Jericho Appreciation Society better not be the name of the stable...UGH!
  20. Wasn't expecting this! Did find it curious that Jericho's vest said Inner Circle Original though. Where's Sammy???
  21. Good on Eddie for shutting down that infantile "What?" chant.
  22. Even Dave is burying his own writer now.
  23. I've never seen a Punk ROH match, and I immediately figured out. Then Excalibur referenced it. For someone who's actually on the WON staff not to know what was happening is pretty a fucking embarrassing indictment of Dave's hiring skills*. *By hiring skills, I mean taking anyone who will write for free, most likely.
  24. So, a glorified fan.
