I can definitely see Punk doing the PR offensive move of losing to Starks to show how giving he is and to demonstrate that he isn’t AEW Hogan. IIRC he was talking in the past about how Starks was one of the good ones who had the common sense to ask the humble master for his sage advice so it would be a very Punk move to do that job since it’s meaningless. Could always just do a schmozz with Joe involved, too.
I find Punk to be pretty insufferable and this match didn’t change that, but damn that tag match was awesome and at least they got me to illegally tune into Collision and that’s worth something, I guess.
Thought it was a good show. Omega/Ospreay was a pretty clear runaway MOTN for me and I hope they do the third one when I’m there at All Out. Loved the 10 man and the 4-way, also. I also thought Willow had a great showing and really liked that match. I’m completely disinterested in anything Punk does at this point but glad people liked that. Glad Sting didn’t die.
I’m watching the PPV now (so not posting in there as to avoid spoilers) and man does he suck. Made me wish there was a Japanese version of the torrent.
I thought it was pretty good but wish it had more on Sunny. Evan Husney said in his interview on POST the other day that he was pretty certain they would be able to interview her but when it was getting near the time they were going to do the interview, her legal team advised her against it.
