Now that I've read more about it, it sounds like Emma should be fine once someone explains to Vince what self-checkout is.
  2. Current Favorite Wrestler To Watch: Dean Ambrose or Rick Martel Last Fun Match You Saw: Big E vs. Rusev MITB. Wrestler You Want to See More Of: Always Buddy Rose. Last Live Show Attended: Extreme Rising at the bingo hall, December 2013. Match You Are Looking Forward To Watching Soon the Most: Hogan vs Tenyru. Last Fun Interview/Promo: I just watched some of Ambrose's indy stuff. He's been great so far in WWE but I feel like it's just the tip of the iceberg from what I've seen he's capable of. Last Interesting Thing You've Read About Wrestling: Certainly something on PWO. Last Worthwhile Wrestling Podcast You've Heard: I listen to mostly non-wrestling pods, but I checked out Titans of Wrestling last month and really enjoyed it, and I'm sure Dylan's are fun. Most Fun You've Had Watching Wrestling Lately: Whenever I've watched WWE lately with a lapsed fan and they lost their shit because Goldust was still wrestling and looking incredible.
  3. He's spent most of the year with Cena where he was going to get cheered regardless. I don't know how a Jericho feud will work promo wise because Jericho can be guilty of a lot of the same comedy stuff Cena does when he's a face. Bray's promos are part of a larger issue of heels knowing that getting face reactions will get them a push faster than real heeling will. It's been like that for a long time.

Emma's good, but it's no big loss if she's released. Anyone who noticed her on the main roster was going to forget her once Bayley was called up anyway.
  5. The Wyatt Family vs the Authority seems like an easy go-to. I always assumed it's why they never directly associated them. If they don't want Bryan as champion, they sure as hell don't want Bray.
  6. Bryan said he had a soy allergy, which I understand would prevent him from eating most meat substitutes to keep mass.
  7. The sentiment at the time was they asked Hero to something, and he didn't do it, so he was done. Now, if he can get away with making a great living on the indies and look like that, more power to him. Although, his stomach looks uncomfortable. Like, I've had a gut at various times in my life, and pictures like that keep me working out.
  8. Punk might not be a fair example because he's a notorious insomniac. He'd have baggy eyes regardless. HBK looked basically like he did when he originally retired during the 2002 comeback, and he aged about 20 years over the subsequent 7.
  9. The reactions Ambrose is getting is a testament to how easy it should be to book wrestling. The audience wants to see wrestlers beat the hell out of each other. All they need is an issue. It doesn't have to be complicated. Ambrose and Rollins are going to get each other over to the next level with this feud.
  10. I've worked during every ppv except mania since I got the network. I want to check it out later tonight spoiler-free but I'll probably check in here anyway since everyone's thoughts on it are often what I enjoy the most about these shows. If this is setting up Lesnar going over for the belt at Summerslam then I guess Cena's the only way to go without making it complicated.
  11. I haven't voted yet. I'm leaning towards Vader, with the caveat that I've only seen late Andre's American stuff, not fro Andre or anything from Japan (except for that time he did a tombstone!). That being said, watching someone that size in obvious pain and discomfort figure out ways to be so compelling while being so economical with their movements is really cool. Everything about Vader has already been said by others. They're both very special.
  12. It sounds like Wrestle-1 is footing the bill. NJPW has an iPPV booked there immediately after Bound for Glory. I don't think that'll go smoothly.
  13. When they gave him the belt last year it was a show of confidence since his second wellness strike, and he was definitely motivated by it. The booking and presentation of him in the Bryan/Authority feud wasn't his fault, but he likewise went back to going through the motions when that went to hell. He'll always get more chances, so the book's not totally written on what kind of legacy, if any, he'll leave in wrestling.

I wasn't even aware they'd done away with it. Was there any foundation to the rumor that Punk dropped the world title to the Undertaker in 09 because he bitched about dress code exemptions?
  15. On the back page of the Apter mags they would run an ad for an ECW 900 number with a pic of Dreamer handcuffed to the ropes and drenched in blood with giant glassy eyes. It's still unsettling.
  16. "I'm the shit, I'm telling ya!" - Diesel
  17. I think there's money to be made in a Tommy Dreamer: Amateur Oncologist gimmick where he charges into peoples' hospital rooms unsolicited and shows then wrestling tapes to cure their cancer. "Wrestling is the best medicine."
  18. The best part is Dixie seems really proud, like, "I'm nailing this!" in her promos. I guess being confident without any support from reality is her thing though.
  19. That's a shame, because I think she really compliments his act. She's no Sherri, but she's good at heeling and taking bumps. Re:Impact, maybe Dixie is a genius, because I actually want to watch it tonight...nah she's a dummy.
  20. With Matt Hardy appearing at the NYC shows, I kind of hope he gets another look by WWE. I don't where he is with his personal issues, but I enjoy Fat Hardy on the indies more than I ever did during any of his big runs. He can still go, and he's really great at generating heat. I saw him wrestle last year, and when the crowd chanted "use a treadmill", he dragged his opponent into the corner and walked all over him. It was great.
  21. I don't know how hot this would make the product, but piggybacking on what others have said, the idea that most of the guys on the roster are there to simply put on a show sucks. One of the great things about NXT is that everyone there has the same agenda: win and impress enough people to make the main roster. Once on the main roster, however they immediately stop caring about excelling and it's about entertaining. Everyone on the roster should want to be WWE champion and it should show in the ring.

Definite Escape From LA vibe. Clearly Ambrose must respond with some Big Trouble in Little China tribute gear.
  23. So Dixie realized these northeast tapings could be disastrous, and her idea to preemptively fix it is to start a feud with Dreamer's House of Hardcore promotion where TNA is heel and encourage "fuck TNA" chants at the shows. And all of these shows will be televised through the summer up to their contract renewal talks with Spike. I haven't watched TNA in years but I'm all in to watch the wheels totally come off.
  24. If we get one Stardust promo with Cody encouraging Goldust to indulge in some of the old ultraviolence, I'll never say a bad word about any other angle for years.

Apparently they released head writer Jay Gibson over the weekend, which I guess led to Vince taking more of a hand in the writing. Hence the puke stuff.
