If Batista is even a possibility for a Brock match they should jump all over it. I really want to see Brock/Dolph, but I'd also be afraid Dolph would bump himself straight into retirement.
  2. Since it's an option on WWE's Who Can Beat Brock Lesnar poll, I'm going with "No one can stop the beast incarnate."

Is it time for a "If not Kevin Dunn then who?" thread?

He had one foot out the door for a while. I know they put up wellness violations, but do they usually get into specifics about other releases like that? Weird.

I doubt they'll listen to the crowd if they turn on a Reigns super-push. They changed course last mania season, and now the guy everyone wanted on top is gone indefinitely and the guy they wanted to put the belt on just became a bona fide movie star overnight. They're going to be insistent that they know better, at least for a while.

Even though they don't look identical any longer, I think watching a Nikki vs Brie match will be like watching a Transformers movie fight, where I don't know who is who and I also don't care.
  7. Flair should have been in JJ's commissioner roll as a foil to Bischoff while wrestling part time in high profile matches. Then after Dusty joined the NWO, they should have built to a Final Showdown between him and Ric. He needed to be in a visible position with some attention, but not necessarily tippy top.
  8. Does anyone remember early in Sting's run with TNA when he was supposed to have a mystery partner for a tag match against Planet Jarrett, and he brought out Buff Bagwell and Luger? He tears them apart as he introduces them, especially Lex, bringing up his arrests, and says "that's a shoot" a bunch of times. It was unreal, especially since Sting rarely did stuff like that. I'm looking all over for it but I can't find it.
  9. I'd never seen any Rock n' Wrestling era Mr. T outside of Mania 1. He's amazing. On the SNME where he boxes Cowboy Bob, he heelishly beats the shit out of his sparring partner even when the guys down. Then Mean Gene interviews him and he feels the need to explain that Rocky III was a work and he laid down for Stallone. Brilliant.
  10. The low points are legion, but one thing I can't take away from them is that they did Sting/Hogan better than WCW did. It was a low bar, but it's something.

It all looked like the same stuff Cena's never that crisp on but does fine at. I was actually really impressed with his counter to the swing.

Yeah, I didn't think closing with Steph/Brie was a hot idea either, but that ruled and the crowd was way into it.
  13. Hahaha, wait did TMZ mix up the story and mean his mother was at the meeting or did he really marry someone with his mom's name?! Bahahaha. I forgot how late SNME was on. Hogan going on early totally makes sense.
  14. Hardcore TNA fans are the people advertisers are imagining when they think about working with the WWE and go "nah".
  15. I've been watching some Saturday Night Main Events and I've noticed Hogan always wrestles at the beginning of the show or in the middle of the card. I know he did this during house shows because of venue curfews and having to fly to other shows. Was it related to that or was it some sort of ratings strategy?

Bray Wyatt says that Cena's entire ethos is a lie and Cena makes donkey jokes. Cesaro says he get his kicks at K Mart and Cena's tense as hell.
  17. The idea that Russo was a Jarrett mole who was counting on everyone, specifically Spike, hating him so much it could sour TV negotiations is so hilarious to me I hope it's true.
  18. I'd be surprised if Bo's streak isn't broken by Cena in a sub 5 minute match on TV as a warmup for his inevitable Rusev match.

Sheamus is in this weird bubble where he's protected like he's a main eventer, but isn't actually treated as such when it comes to who he's programmed with and how it plays out. I guess he's just being kept on ice in case there's a series of injuries to Cena, Orton, etc. and they need him to step up.

At this point Sheamus is one of only a handful of guys I want to see work with Brock, but they're so terrible at booking him that I know it'll never happen.
  21. I'd think now that he got laid out on Monday, and even juiced a little, we might get serious business Jericho from here on out. He needs to get nasty like the aforementioned programs with HBK/Punk for this to go anywhere.
  22. Someone at DVDVR mentioned a rumor of Dixie moving TNA to Europe if they lose TV, which makes sense, or about as much sense as anything else they've done. I don't know where that story generated from, so it might be nothing.

Only up to Bo/Sandow. Sandow doesn't have a leg day at the gym. I think they're working backwards by booking Bo as an ironic face now so people will get sick of it and he can get genuine heat as a heel. Or they just don't care, it's hard to tell.
  24. Do four way matches really interest anyone? I can only imagine them appealing to kids who buy the "stacked deck" against Cena as a legitimate threat.

I guess Brock/Cena doesn't need the belt at Summerslam, but Brock as champ would be great and whoever he eventually dropped it to would be a made man. Reigns as champ would probably lead to an Orton match at Summerslam, then they could still do the HHH match at Night of Champions. After that, maybe they could tread water until Cena's ready to put him over clean.
