Odin, the last thing the world needs is a podcast from a Blackhawks fan.
  2. If they're not uploading everything, especially the B shows and other territories, then I don't think the people behind the Network know what they're doing. I wouldn't go that far. It's time consuming for something with next to zero impact on the bottom line of the Network. Sometimes I wonder if the Network is a social experiment by WWE to determine if wrestling fans will, in fact, bitch about everything. It provides diversified content, which is key to the success of the Network. If they don't add stuff like the B shows, other territories, etc. then there's less incentive for people to stick with the Network long term because the amount of available content will eventually dry up. It's the same reason Netflix and Hulu are constantly trying to acquire new content, they need the diversity to make a wider range of customers happy.
  3. I don't know much, but I do know that if that footage is made available to the Canadian subscribers it damn well better be made available in the US as well.

One of the ideas being bandied about is that Kenta will never be a true main roster guy. He's being brought in to be a Japanese Regal. He'll work foreign shows, and pop up on main roster shows from time to time, but he'll spend most of his time in NXT helping to add another style to what the wrestlers down there are learning. I can see the pros of this idea, and to be honest it's something I would welcome.

  6. I would have, and despite the growing negative sentiment I'm still happy with the service. I do wish more content would be added, and that they would iron out all the technical issues. That being said, it's still a service I get a lot of mileage out of and don't see myself ever tiring of using.
  7. Something along the lines of a wrestling glossary would be a great tool/resource for the likes of the PWO community to have at their fingertips.

ADR is a damn fine performer. When he's put in spots to work he always delivers. I could agree with him not being pushed simply because he'll never be taken seriously as a threat again based on the way he's been booked. However, as a worker, a guy who can go out there and have good matches with everyone on the roster, he's a valuable asset.

My schedule has been pretty tight lately and I haven't been able to watch much wrestling. I make time for the project watching I'm working on, but as far as the current stuff goes I think it's very telling that I haven't bothered with any WWE main roster programming since the week before MitB, but have watched NXT each and every week (Before anyone says anything, has nothing to do with Cena as I like him as a worker). Not sure how this relates to anyone else, but I know that I actually look forward to NXT every week, and I haven't been able to say that about WWE since I started watching again earlier this year.
  10. That kind of makes up for her being on such a terrible show.
  11. Sports Entertainment and Diva bug the heck out of me. It's not sports entertainment, it's pro wrestling. they aren't sports entertainers, they are pro wrestlers. I don't care how often or for how long the WWE hype machine tries to get over the sports entertainment ideology, it just doesn't fly with me. Diva is a belittling and demeaning term, it shouldn't be used as a name for a women's wrestling division or for women wrestlers in general.

Emma is a really good worker, she showed that in NXT. Maybe she'll get a chance to show it on the main show now, but even if she doesn't she's provided the evidence of what she is capable of so there's that at least,

I'm pretty sure they did on the recent Talk is Jericho ep with him. He said something along the lines of it not being a good fit, and that there was never a real reason for him to be with Axel.

Err...pretty sure you can't put stuff in your pockets even if you're going through the self checkout. Arrest is a bit much though. You can, people do it all the time. The key is remembering to take the stuff out of your pockets once you get to the register. I used to be a retail manager and it's very common for people to put something in a hoodie pocket and then forget that they put it in there. Now, if someone has a high price item or a ton of stuff in their pocket, that's a different story. In this case it's a cheap item, that like 99% of the people I dealt with she probably intended to pay for but just forgot. The manager in this case was taking following company policy too far, unless she tried to deny she had it in her pocket or proclaiming it wasn't hers, etc.

Based on the report it's an instance of WalMart being jerks. She forgot about a $20 iPod cover in her pocket while going through self-checkout. I've done that countless times, with things like pop, gum, apples, etc. It's one of the main reasons I always use a cart nowadays and avoid self-checkout. It's just too easy to forget stuff when you put it in your pockets because you didn't bother to grab a cart.
  16. Current Favorite Wrestler To Watch: Owen Hart. I'm in his 98 run so he's slowly losing steam, but everything he did in 97 was gold. Last Fun Match You Saw: Rick Martel vs. Booker T, WCW: nWo Souled Out '98 Wrestler You Want To See More Of: Timothy Thatcher, I've just discovered the guy and he seems like he could legit be the best pro wrestler on the planet right now. Last Live Show Attended: WWF House Show in early '98, I'd love to go to more but I don't like going to public events by myself (social anxiety issues) and none of my friends or family care for pro wrestling. Match You Are Looking Forward To Watching Soon The Most: Terry Funk vs. Jumbo Tsuruta, AJPW 06-11-1976, it's about forty videos away in my YT watch later folder, but I'm itching to get to it. Last Fun Interview/Promo You Saw: Probably Steve Williams flying around like a bird during WrestleWar '90 Last Interesting Thing You Read About Wrestling: Hmmm, since I refuse to subscribe to the Observer, and unfortunately don't have the money for FSM my option are limited. Probably something Dean Rasmussen wrote in one of his recent Driverette's. Last Worthwhile Wrestling Podcast You Heard: I've been catching up with Wrestling Culture from the beginning and I'm up to episode 33 now, so definitely all of that. Most Fun You've Had Watching Wrestling Lately: Ohno versus Regal from NXT, watching them do the master/student thing to near perfection was a blast.

I would tell you that you're wrong, but apparently you know what I think already and are able to tell me exactly how I feel about a wrestler before I even make my argument. Jeez, this place is better than stuff like this.
  18. Is he deciding to do those things, or being told to do those things? I think that's an important distinction to make, and in this day and age where everything has to be run by someone I'm pretty sure he's not purposely trying to be loved, but doing what he's being told to do.
  19. I don't talk about it much, but there's not much credence to the point trying to be made about MMA. The sport is littered with adonis type guys who were terrible, gassed within minutes, etc. Meanwhile some of the best the sport has ever seen were either a little pudgy or downright fat. I fought and trained in MMA, BJJ, amateur wrestling, boxing, and muay thai for years, and being in the sort of shape you;re suggesting is incredibly overrated. That's all I'm going to say on that matter though.
  20. With Sonnen the issue isn't that he took PEDs. It's that he refuses to just come out and say "I took them to help me perform better." Instead he keeps spinning positive test results to ludicrous fashions. The fact that he continues to think it's cool to just lie to everyone over and over again is why he gets flack. It's the same reason why people hate A-Rod but have given Jason Giambi a pass. It's the same reason I hate Ryan Braun, even moreso in his case because he took a positive test and decided to spin it so that a hard working class individual lost their job just so that he didn't have to admit to his wrongdoing. If Sonnen would just admit he did something wrong most people would quickly move on, but he's deciding to spin like a spineless bastard.
  21. Again, you're talking about a social construct. The idea that someone with a potbelly isn't maximizing their potential as a performer is a laughable concept to me.
  22. If appearances don't matter, you're saying you'd get the exact same enjoyment out of Kawada if he wrestled his entire career in a chicken suit. Probably, he'd just present a different sort of enjoyment, or he'd be an ass kicker in a chicken suit, works either way.
  23. Sorry Fantastic, I find the notion you are putting forth ridiculous.
  24. There's not a thing unprofessional about the way he looks. This is like the whole "beards are unprofessional" nonsense. It's a stupid social construct that needs to get the heck out of town.
  25. Wrestling should not be about someone looking their best though. It should be about who gets the job done, both in kayfabe and working terms. If a guy is booked to look good in winning, his physique does not matter. If a guy can go in the ring, his physique does not matter. Frankly, this is essentially WWE brainwashing, the idea that only bodybuilders and dudes who are super lean look like professional wrestlers. I say no thank you to that, and Dick Murdoch, Vader, Jerry Blackwell, Chris Hero, Bray Wyatt, and a lot of others concur with my assessment.
