Rhodes looks at both men… he has history with them… but he is in a different role now as they head to the ring… The Twin Towers w/ Slick defeated Frank Morris & Sam Bough via the 747 Splash! Slick and the Towers tell Rhodes to turn out the lights because the party is over! Rhodes takes off his hat and comes towards them but we have officials and agents who come out and hold things off. Some big tension here as we cut to break *COMMERCIAL* Nick Bockwinkle comes out with the WCW Tag Team Titles… he then welcomes out the Road Warriors. They hand over the Windy City Tag Titles and Bockwinkle says that they are the number one contenders for the tag titles… but not the champions. The Rockers defeated Brad & Bart Batten via the Double Fist Drop! The Rockers come over and still work heel. DIG IT! Savage continues to work the crowd… that is until we see three men walk out of the back… wait a second… that’s Michael Hayes… Terry Gordy…and Buddy Roberts…. The FREEBIRDS! Savage doesn’t see them as they are surrounding him… he turns around and Hayes starts jaw jacking with him… Gordy then come out of nowhere with a right hand and Savage goes down! The crowd is going nuts. Wait a second… here come the Road Warriors… they get involved as the Freebirds break off. 5. December 25 - Christmas Night - Chicago Koko Ware vs Mark Madness Koko is able to get a measure of revenge tonight The Chicago crowd is going nuts for Koko Mark Madness has to work… for about 8-minutes The fans cheer on Koko who pulls out every stop The finish is hot… Mark Madness goes for a clothesline but doesn’t get all of it Madness then picks up Koko and looks to hit powerslam but Ware pushes him away…. Koko runs and jumps up the ropes and then with a back cross body nails Madness for the 1….2…..3!!!! Koko has won it! The crowd pops as Koko gets out of the ring and works the fans Madness can’t believe it as he makes chase The Renegade Warriors vs Bob Orton & Dick Slater w/ Paul Jones The Renegades come out and work the fans Slater and Orton… they are pros and they look good tonight This one isn’t overly special The Renegades get some offense but nothing crazy The spike piledriver and pinfall by Orton spells the end 1….2….3 and Orton and Slater walk on. CHICAGO STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Scott Casey vs Black Bart A nice little showcase for Scott Casey Lots of weapons get used The trash can on Bart’s head lead to some fun chair shots Casey then hits a middle rope bulldog 1….2….3! The Chicago Streetfight Champion reigns… Dan Spivey vs Kamala w/ Skandar Akbar Big time showdown with these two Lots of brawling and battling around the ringside area Skandar Akbar is afraid for his life while Danny Spivey looks to go after him as well The finish sees Kamala tackle Spivey and they go into the crowd! The referee hits a count out and the crowd isn’t happy WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Road Warriors vs The Nasty Boys A good showcase for both teams The Nasty Boys bring the big time fight The Road Warriors look like all-pros We get some serious blows and potatoes from both teams The Nasty Boys are able to get some heat but eh Road Warriors fight back We get some chaos near the end Saggs looks to piledrive Animal but Hawk comes off the top rope with a clothesline! Animal rolls up Saggs and gets the 3-count! The Road Warriors get the win… but this one is far… far from over. GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP NO DQ - NO COUNT OUT - NO TIME LIMIT Ricky Steamboat vs Butch Reed © w/ Paul Jones These guys put on a clinic From the opening bell to the final moments… These men leave it all out there. Steamboat sells every single shot from Reed Reed hammers down with all his power and strength The big time shoulder block from Reed gets as close to a 3-count as possible Steamboat then goes into a series… deep arm drags Some huge dropkicks Steamboat then with a crossbody and both men go over the top to the floor We get the final 3-minutes… Reed uses his power and strength again… and hits a huge powerslam on Steamboat Reed waits for Steamboat to get up and then hits a huge SHOULDER BLOCK! Steamboat goes flying across the ring! Jones is screaming for him to make the cover… but Reed goes back up… now to the top rope…. Steamboat is stumbling up to his feet Reed Waits… maybe a moment too long… he leaps for another shoulder block Steamboat side steps and grabs Reed for a powerslam! 1……2……3!!!! Ricky Steamboat has won it! Steamboat is the new GATEWAY CHAMPION! The crowd is going nuts! The Rock n Roll Express vs The Rockers A great showcase for both teams 30-minutes…. They go… then another 15-more! We see both teams work the fans with the Rockers playing heel to a T. The Rock N Roll sell like no one before and make Michaels and Jannetty look like legit beasts in the ring. We get a couple of great hope spots with Ricky and Robert both making hot tags only for the Rockers to break them down in their comebacks In the final 5-minutes… it all comes to a head We see Ricky get the hell beat out of him only to make the big tag to Robert Robert is a house of fire with big rights and lefts…. Then clotheslines…. The Rock N Roll put Jannetty in a spot for a huge double dropkick and send him flying over the top rope The referee is admonishing Ricky Morton when out of nowhere Shawn Michaels pops with a huge superkick and knocks him smack dab out! Robert then goes for Michaels… but by this time… Jannetty is up and he springboards off the ropes with a clothesline to Roberts back tripping him into Michaels who comes with a huge superkick! Michaels covers for the 1….2….3!!! The Rockers have won it at the 45-minute mark! We get a show of respect from the Rock N Roll as they offer the handshake but Michaels and Jannetty turn their backs…. Then come with kicks but RnR duck and hit the ropes for a pair of dropkicks that send the Rockers flying! The War may be over… but don’t think for a second that the Rock N Roll are done with these two! Hey everyone, thank you for reading this. I was making good headway on this show but then the holiday hit and my mom broke her leg and then my grandmother passed. Needless to say it has been a trying time. I apologize for the lack of description in the final two matches… especially since they are my two big blow offs. CAGE MATCH I-QUIT MATCH Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth vs Jim Garvin w/ Precious This is one of those matches that will go down as a hallmark of Windy City. These two have been going at it for the better part of three months. The issues with Elizabeth led to the Poffo brother feud and now this. The match is dirty… sloppy… and bloody. Both men juice… hard… both men get offense in and look dangerous. We see some big spots and even Savage countering the brainbuster into a back drop that lands Garvin right on his neck. Savage does a hug elbow smash off the top of the cage to the delight of the fans. Savage then hoists Garvin up and locks him in a hangman’s neckbreaker and finally Garvin screams “I QUIT!” The crowd erupts and Savage, a bloody mess, with Elizabeth by his side is victorious! CAGE MATCH WINDY CITY CHAMPIONSHIP Bam Bam Bigelow vs Harley Race Big entrances… big match… these two have a lot to follow up with. Race gives that one last performance to show why he’s an all-timer. Race is a bloody mess before it is all said and done. Harley is able to get in his offense and even hits two big piledrivers but Bam Bam Fights his way back. Bigelow then hits a huge powerslam to follow it up with a diving headbutt. Bigelow then looks to the sky… oh my… Bam Bam goes on top of the cage… MOONSAULT! HE NAILS IT! 1…..2…..3!!! Bam Bam wins…. Bam Bam retains the Windy City Championship!
  6. Okay... sorry to do it again... but I don't see Eric Bischoff anywhere... could I throw out Craig DeGeorge and add Eric to my Windy City roster?
  7. Windy City Wrestling #23 Saturday December 17 Okay… late… but here we go… December the 17th was a pretty good showing for Windy City. It was highlighted by a huge 20-man battle royal in which the winner would go on to face Butch Reed for the Gateway Title at the Christmas Day Special from the UIC Pavillion. We get word from Joe Pedicino that Race v Bigelow will be inside a STEEL CAGE! We got a promo from Randy Savage that he is challenging Jimmy Garvin to a cage match since they will have one. We find out that the Rockers will take on the Rock N Roll Express in a 60-minute time limit match! Mark Madness kills some jobber but when he goes to continue to beatdown Koko Ware comes out and breaks it up. We’ll see these two line up one more time in Chicago. We see a big match in which Bam Bam defeats Dick Slater and shows his gut. The main event is the big battle royal and we get the final showdown with Orton, Kamala, Spivey, and Steamboat (who has made a miraculous comeback!) The final moments end with Steamboat hitting a crossbody on Kamala and going over the top to the floor…. But Steamboat hung on…. Steamboat will go on to take on Reed on Christmas Night!
  8. December 16 - Kenosha Show opens up with a view in the back of the arena - there is a big bunkhouse set up with a couple of hay bales, a piano, a bar, and some other various weapons. We then see various men come out…. It is time to figure out who will walk away with the Windy City Chicago Street Fight Championship!?! CHICAGO STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BUNKHOUSE ELIMINATION MATCH Scott Casey vs Killer Khan vs Kabuki vs Wild Bill vs Dutch vs Jaggers vs Black Bart vs Mark Madness Well looking at who is involved… you can tell that this isn’t that great We get some fun weapon spots… especially seeing Mark Madness body slam Black Bart through the piano! Scott Casey picks up Kabuki and back drops him over the top of the guardrail to the floor and he’s eliminated. Dutch and Jaggers are able to get Wild Bill out after he hits Black Bart with a lariat and eliminated him We’re down to Casey, Khan, Dutch, Jaggers, and Mark Madness We then see a commotion when Koko Ware is shown coming out… he then leaps off the piano and dropkicks Mark Madness! Koko is all over the big guy and the fans are going wild! Meanwhile, Casey with a nasty show to Khan with a broom stick and then he clotheslines him over the rail! Madness turns the tide on Koko and picks him up for a bodyslam but tosses him over the rail but not too far behind comes Jaggers and Dutch who double clothesline him over the rail to the floor! It is Casey, Jaggers, and Dutch… two on one for all intents and purposes. We then see some more weapons get involved but the highlight is Casey back body dropping Jaggers on the bar! He then comes with a huge clothesline on Dutch and takes him over the top to the floor! Casey picks up a shovel… Jaggers turns around and Casey DESTROYS HIM WITH THE SHOVEL! Jaggers is out and now Casey tosses him over the rail and we have got a winner! Casey holds up the Chicago Street Fight Championship and the crowd is going wild for him. Scott Casey is on the run of a lifetime… can anyone stop him? Scott Hall vs Kamala w/ Akbar Scott Hall just hasn’t been able to put all the pieces together and it shows here when Kamala beats the living hell out of him Hall does everything he can to make it an offensive contest but Kamala looks to be a renewed monster right now Hall makes one little rush to get ahead but when he goes for the Fallaway Slam he can’t get the big man over and Kamala crashes down on top of Hall This spells the end as Kamala with some nasty chops and then headbutts Kamala with a big powerslam…. And then a huge SPLASH! Kamala with the cover and the 3-count… this monster is finding his feeting again… who will be next to clash with the Ugandan Giant? The Renegade Warriors vs Bob Orton & Dick Slater Good tag team showcase for both teams Orton and Slater don’t look like they’ve lost a step since losing the tag titles and keep coming with some big time shots The Youngbloods get in enough offense to look decent but it doesn’t do enough The big spike piledriver spells the end with the 3-count on Mark and Orton and Slater walk away as the winners. Bad Company vs The Rockers Another decent showcase… Bad Company just couldn’t hit the ground running. The Rockers are so over right now and they’ve got some serious heat with the crowd The fans are letting them have it but Marty and Shawn could care less. The finish is a double superkick on Diamond… then double flying fist drop for the 3-count! The Rockers look primed for the tag titles… or the Rock N Roll Express… or both!?! GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP LUMBERJACK MATCH (Dutch, Jaggers, Bart, Kabuki, Sato, Fuchi, Champion, Chip, Youngbloods, Wild Bill, Orton, Slater, and Johnny Ace (making his return to Windy City)) Ricky Steamboat vs Butch Reed © A fun lumberjack match between these two Last time they fought it was a countout finish with Steamboat getting the victory This week, Reed has nowhere to run and we’ve got a good contest These guys go about 17-minutes and give the fans some good work. We see the Lumberjacks get involved but nothing too offensive That is until Orton and Slater double up on Steamboat and this causes some chaos outside the ring Reed tries to capitalize but Steamboat keeps control Reed tries to retreat outside the ring with Slater, Orton, and the other heels but here comes Steamboat off the top rope with a cross body taking everyone out! The crowd is going wild as we’ve got a bunch of fights going on outside the ring Reed is pushed into the ring by Paul Jones but then Orton and Slater grab Steamboat again and then deliver a SPIKE PILEDRIVER ON THE FLOOR! The crowd is going nuts as the referee calls for the bell! Steamboat has been awarded the match via DQ but Reed remains the Gateway Champion We get a stretcher job for Steamboat who looks to be in a serious way NUMBER ONE CONTENDER MATCH Dan Spivey vs Harley Race Two men who are not strangers to one another go at it again These guys only have about 13-minutes in them Race… he’s near the end of true competition but he won’t let anyone see it Spivey is on the cusp of being the next big thing in wrestling if he can keep up this momentum The crowd is solidly behind Dangerous Danny and he gives Race all he’s got to handle and more The finish is a little messy… Race looks to be hoisted up for the powerslam but Paul Jones pulls his leg down and Race stumbles… Spivey comes with a boot that destroys Jones but his leg gets caught on the top rope Race comes with a LOW BLOW! The referee didn’t see it… Spivey shuffles back and Harley grabs him for the PILEDRIVER 1…..2…..3!! Race has won it Race is the number one contender! The Road Warriors vs Rock N Roll Express Tag Titles Talk about a huge tag team encounter. These are quite possibly the two best teams in the world right now and they take it seriously in this huge title bout The Road Warriors are clearly more powerful that Ricky and Robert but the Express has fought and beat bigger teams before They give Hawk and Animal everything they’ve got and with the speed they come out ahead throughout the contest The quick tags of the Rock N Roll is thwarted by the sheer strength of the Warriors Around the 20-minute mark… we see the Rockers make their way down to the ring… the referees are trying to hold them back but Shawn and Marty say they are just watching. We see a huge double dropkick by the Express that sends Animal out of the ring to the floor! The referee is losing control now as Hawk nails a huge double clothesline and the Express are down! The Rockers walk over to Animal but here comes Hawk out of the ring and he attacks the Rockers! The crowd is going nuts right now Michaels and Jannetty back away as the referee is trying to gain control… as Shawn and Marty pop back in the ring they line up for a double superkick on Ricky but Robert pushes him away! The Road Warriors come back in with a huge double clothesline and the Rockers go flying to the floor Ricky comes flying at the Road Warriors but they duck, pull the ropes down, and he goes flying to take out the Rockers again! Robert gets up and Hawk comes with a big boot that takes his damn head off! They hoist him up for the DOOMSDAY DEVICE! 1…..2……3!!! The Road Warriors have won it! They retain the titles! They get the belts and walk up the aisleway as the referees are breaking up the fight in the ringside between the Express and Rockers! Wait just a moment… at the top of the stage… is that the Nasty Boys!?! Sags and Knobbs come out with chairs and DESTROY HAWK AND ANIMAL! They are beating the daylights out of them with those chairs! The officials are tied up with the teams at ringside! MAIN EVENT WINDY CITY CHAMPIONSHIP Bam Bam vs Jimmy Garvin w/ Precious Our “main event” due to the lights out match taking place gets some good entrances and both men look primed. Garvin has only had a couple of shots at the title and some would say he has become a let down by not getting his hands on the gold Garvin works the crowd is gets some serious heat from his stalling tactics on Bam Bam We see Bigelow control things early with some big time power and strength as he manhandles Garvin A couple of big moments occur when Garvin hits a nasty low blow behind the referee’s back This sets up a good heat segment for Garvin to work over the neck and back of Bigelow Bammer is a long way from gone though and he fights back in a huge way These guys take the fight to the outside and we even see Bammer get a little juice the hard way thanks to a nasty guardrail shot Garvin even hits a brainbuster outside the ring but doesn’t land it clean He rolls Bigelow into the ring and he is looking to go up top… wait a minute… RANDY SAVAGE FROM OUT OF THE CROWD! SAVAGE RUNS UP AND PUSHES GARVIN OFF THE TOP ROPE AND HE NUTS HIMSELF! THE CROWD IS GOING NUTS! Bigelow gets up and pulls Garvin over for a big POWERSLAM Bigelow goes up top for the DIVING HEADBUTT 1…..2…..3!!! Bigelow retains the title…. Thanks to Savage…. Garvin is in a bad way! The announcer thanks everyone for the night and the event… they then lower the lights down for 10-seconds…. Then we hear Mike McGuirk say… SO YOU WANT SOME MORE HUH!? It is now time for our LIGHTS OUT MAIN EVENT… NO DISQUALIFICATION… NO COUNT OUT… ONCE A MAN DOESN’T ANSWER THE 10-COUNT THEY LOSE! Lights Out Match Randy Savage v Lanny Poffo Violence… the easiest way to explain it Savage is out here in jeans and cowboy boots Lanny is in his wrestling outfit. These guys only go 12-minutes and it is a bloody mess Savage opens up Lanny early on and is pulling out all the stops Lanny is finally able to get control when Savage is up top but Lanny hits the top rope to interrupt him Lanny then hits a dropkick on Savage who is sitting on the top rope and Savage goes tumbling down to the floor! We see Poffo crack Randy with the ringbell and gets an 8-count Savage is so good at selling and makes Lanny look special A Piledriver from Poffo on the ground and another 8-count… Then we get the moment…. Poffo rolls Savage in the ring… then Poffo GRABS ELIZABETH! He pulls her in the ring and yells at her to stay in the corner Randy is a blood mess right now Poffo comes over and picks him up for another PILEDRIVER! Lanny then grabs Elizabeth’s arm and makes the referee count Lanny is screaming at Liz the entire time as the referee gets closer to 10 8……9……10…NO NO NO! Savage is up and he has got WIDE EYES! Savage runs at Poffo and is unloading on him Rights and lefts Rights and lefts Savage then goes down and takes off his cowboy boot… Poffo gets up and Savage with a SHOT right to the skull! The crowd is going wild… Poffo… a blood mess… tries to pull himself up on Randy’s leg… Savage grabs him by the hair… then sets him for a PILEDRIVER!!!! Savage walks over and goes up top…. HE FLIES FOR AN ELBOW DROP RIGHT THROUGH POFFO’S HEART! 7….8….9….10! Savage has done it! Savage wins! We get a great big hug with Savage and Elizabeth. The crowd is going wild. Savage then grabs the microphone… and says…. Savage: GARVIN…. I AM COMING FOR YOU NEXT!
  9. I like the opener here for FCW. Don't be afraid to go with what works... Sullivan works... looking forward to see how this one shakes out.
  10. I love that wrestling figure ring set up... wait till 1988 when I jump that up to a new level. AWA is a great hallmark for our world of wrestling. The Road Warriors come over to give it some spice. Bad News is a big deal. Jerry Lawler looks to reign as the king. I am interested to see who comes out early in 1988 to be a top tier guy. Chris Adams is at the top of my list and I can't wait to see what Larry Z has in store.
  11. As others said... these vignettes are getting us excited about what is to come. It is almost like seeing a commercial for your company every couple of days. IT keeps us hooked into what could be happening next! The Force of July is my new favorite tag team name.
  12. Medusa is money... Rockiin Robin is on a roll... love these ladies and hope to get more involved with them in 1988!
  13. Any way that you can add intrigue to your promotion is good and you've done it in a multitude of ways. McGee winning the battle royal but losing to Hansen is still a win for him. He has shown his grit and perhaps on another night when he doesn't have to beat 19 others... he can beat just the 1! Interesting to see Dusty down on the card a big but everyone needs a spot and he still has one. I always thought 87 was going to be the year for the Bees but it didn't come to fruition... maybe 88?
  14. It is all fun and games until Ted Turner gets involved... business has picked up if you will. I almost wonder if this will be a blow off or an armistice. This promotion can co-exist on one man's terms but can the other follow suit? There is a lot of meat on this bone but it almost pulls away from the other main dishes that look and taste good. JYD v Vader - Duggan v Tully - Dibiase v Garvin - Luger v Williams... this is as stacked of a card as we'll find in wrestling in this time frame.
  15. Spivey is the winner and by golly he looks like he’s got all the momentum in the world right now. Scott Hall vs Jimmy Garvin w/ Precious Another good contest with Jimmy Jam, on the run of his life, looking stellar Scott Hall just never seemed to hit the ground running by himself He gives Garvin all he can handle but Jimmy has got other plans Precious plays here role to a T and ends up giving Garvin that damn hair spray again… Hall turns and he gets it right in his eyes! CHICAGO STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Scott Casey © vs Kamala w/ Akbar This is an ugly contest Kamala is a monster here and he is putting Casey through the ringer Casey has got taped fists and he’s fighting with everything he’s got just to stay alive One of the big spots is when Casey explodes a wooden chair over Kamala’s head and the crowd comes alive! Kamala is able to fight back and he gets control over Casey and gets him busted open and looks to be using a chain on his forehead Kamala then goes for a bodyslam but Casey goes over his back and dropkicks him in the head! The crowd pops and Scott Casey once again reigns as the Chicago Street Fight Champion! GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP Ricky Steamboat v Butch Reed © w/ Paul Jones Perhaps the toughest test for Reed in his title run These guys go 20-minutes and Steamboat is putting him through the ringer but Reed’s strength is keeping him right there Reed is able to use his power to work over the back and neck of Steamboat Ricky fights back with a lot of gusto and is able to move-countermove against Reed On two different occasions, Reed retreats outside the ring…. WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP 4 WAY - ELIMINATION MATCH The Road Warriors © vs The Rockers vs The Rock N Roll Express vs Orton & Slater The tag titles on the line in this very obscure contest The rules are that two people start via a coin toss… the rest of the teams are in their respective corners Anyone can be tagged at any time When a team is pin, submits, counted out, or dq’d they are eliminated Last team standing will be the winners FIRST FALL The first fall is clumsy with everyone around the ring and on the aprons Shawn Michaels and Road Warrior Hawk start things off For about 12-minutes we get some tags in and out among the teams Some highlights include the Rockers and Rock N Roll but then also the Rock N Roll and the Road Warriors The first elimination occurs when Animal hits a NASTY shoulder breaker on Bob Orton which leads to the 3-count! The Road Warriors have eliminated Orton and Slater! The Road Warriors miss everything but see that Ricky is down… Animal covers Ricky and gets the 1….2…..3! THE ROAD WARRIORS retain the Windy City Tag Titles!! Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth vs Lanny Poffo This is one the fans have been waiting for Poffo comes out to some MAJOR heat and may be the most hated man in Windy City right now Savage comes out in a swank as hell purple robe with white tights and black stars and white boots. Elizabeth is in a gorgeous purple dress The pomp and circumstance is one thing but now it is time for a fight as the bell rings and Randy goes right after his brother! The punches and kicks look as real as can be Poffo goes outside the ring and plays mouse to Randy’s cat Lanny leaps back through the ropes and begins to stomp away at Savage These two don’t have the most scientific match but the fans just want to see an ass whooping. They only go about 12-minutes and it is all punches and kicks with little to no wrestling The big moment happens when Poffo hoists Savage up and nails a slingshot on the ropes Savage holds his throat while Poffo stomps away and then comes back with a PILEDRIVER! Randy is hurt… Poffo then goes outside the ring and grabs a chair… The referee tries to stop him but Poffo throws him aside! That may have been a DQ but we’re far from over Poffo NAILS Savage in the back with the chair once…. Twice… three times! Poffo then picks up Savage and puts him in the ropes… he’s tied up… We hear a scream… my gosh… that Jimmy Garvin and Precious… they have Elizabeth… Garvin and Precious bring her in the ring and now Poffo has his hands on Liz’ neck… Savage is kicking and screaming… Elizabeth begins to slap away at Poffo who just smiles Precious comes from behind and holds Liz while Garvin is holding Savage’s head… Poffo… he grabs the chair? Poffo is going to hit Elizabeth! The crowd pops when we see Rick Steamboat, Dan Spivey, and the Road Warriors run down! Poffo, Garvin, & Precious all leave the ringside area. Randy is helped out of the ropes by Steamboat He and Elizabeth hug… but then Savage jumps over the ropes and runs down the aisle way and he attacks POFFO AND GARVIN! We have got PURE ANARCHY in the aisle way as officials and agents come down… Spivey, Steamboat, and the Road Warriors try to help Garvin and Poffo make an exit but Savage is far from done! Bam Bam has to find a way… and he does… he fights back… he is coming with everything he’s got Harley cuts him off with a nasty forearm…. Then a PILEDRIVER! 1…..2……KICK OUT! Bam Bam is down and here comes Race with a knee right to the skull! Harley looks like he’s going up… he climbs to the top but Bam Bam gets up and he hits those ropes and Harley gets nutted! Bigelow shakes his head and then goes up… he grabs Race… SUPERPLEX!!! The ring shakes and the crowd explodes Both men are down for an 8 count… they get up and share some big shots Harley with a low kick and he goes for the Piledriver again but Bammer throws him over his back Harley feeds up and runs for a clothesline but Bigelow ducks and then a huge drop kick! 17. AWA coming to town with some big names and big matches. Anytime Blackwell can get into a position of prominence, it is always a good thing. He is a character among character here. Billy Jack and The Bully inside a cage... that'll give these guys a chance to get it settled. Superclash is on the last day of 87 and it is going to mark the beginning of a huge 88 for AWA.
  18. Richter with a huge win and retention of her title... but now with Lisa as the next in line... I feel like her luck may change. Lisa's win over Rhonda shows that she has got someting in the tan that many of these ladies don't have and it could lead her to the top in 88.
  19. You continue to showcase your consistency and the NWA is better for it. Starrcase 87 looks like to be the big times for the NWA and by golly you've got a card that is second to none. I am wondering how things will shake out going into 88. I do like the trajectory of Flair... I wonder who will survive Hansen v Brody... then the tag team scene has got a lot of contenders... NWA has all the foundations to start up 88 with fuel in the fire.
  20. Mid South has got a lot of big feuds running wild. Anytime the Freebirds can get matched up with another big crew... it means some good stuff. JYD is left in shambles but we know he'll find a way to put the pieces together in a big way. Jake and Duggan as a duo is something I would have liked to see more of IRL. Jake and Duggan v Rude and Andre would have been some fun matches. We also see a young Vader who looks like a monster against the mystery of Muta. Ladd and Watts ... we know they have to clash... when and where? What will the stakes be? What will be the fall out?
  21. Johnny ace signs with windy city
  22. Two names I am not seeing but I would like to add to my roster would be Bruce Prichard and Sean Mooney. Both of them debuted on-screen in 1988. I wouldn't use them until then but wanted to see if I could add them to my roster group.
