9/27 WWF Live at Madison Square Garden shown on the MSG Network. Gorilla Monsoon and Paul E Dangerously are on commentary. ST Jones vs Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart - A good contest to get the crowd going . ST Jones has got some decent momentum but Honky Tonk is destined for something here in 1988. He and Jimmy Hart work together and we see the Shake Rattle and Roll to start things off for the night but finish off ST Jones! The Ultimate Warrior vs The Iron Sheik- The Warrior comes out to a great pop. He looks decent in the ring… even though the Sheik can barely keep up with him. Some big shoulder blocks and then a big splash around 3 minutes and Warrior gets the crowd back on their feet. The Rockers vs The Powers of Pain w/ Mr. Fuji- This is a great showcase for both teams. The Powers of Pain exert some serious power and the Rockers sell like none other. The best part is seeing the comeback of the Rockers who are throwing some big rights and lefts. The finish sees a double superkick on Barbarian… he goes out of the ring… then the Rockers set up Warlord and hit a double dropkick that sends him out of the ring to the floor and he takes down Barb. Fuji is trying to get them up but the referee hits 10 and the Rockers get the victory. Koko Ware vs Haku w/ Bobby Heenan -Another MSG style match. These guys go about 11 of the 15-minutes. Koko looks strong but Haku seems to be on a different level right now. He is vicious and mean and seems to be impervious. We see Koko go for a high cross body off the top rope but Haku catches him… he then runs him into the turnbuckle… Koko slowly gets up and here comes Haku with a nasty Superkick right to Koko’s throat! A 3-count spells the end and Haku has some good things on the horizon. Andre The Giant & Jimmy Snuka vs The Russians- Cool the crowd down but give em what they want in Andre. He is able to get in the ring for a couple of shots but Snuka does most of the work. This is only about 9-minutes and the finish sees Andre bodyslam Ivan Koloff… Andre then kicks Nikolai in the mush and he goes out of the ring to the floor. Andre goes to the corner and Snuka goes up on his shoulders and leaps for the SuperFly Splash! 1…2….3! These Dynamic Duo is something special… could they be in line for a title shot? Tito Santana vs Rick Rude w/ Bobby Heenan- A very solid 20-minute contest. Tito looks to give Rude all he can handle but the Ravishing one has the Brain outside the ring to do his bidding and that makes all the difference. We see a slick trip from Heenan to set Santana up for a school boy and a handful of tights by Rude for the 3-count! WWF Intercontinental Championship - Rick Martel defends against Greg Valentine Another good singles contest here as Martel is seemingly going to defend the title against anyone in his path. He and Valentine embark on another good 17-minute contest as both men leave it all in the ring. Martel is really getting some love from the fans and Valentine does so well to get some heat. Just as Martel is looking to get the upperhand… wait a moment… Honky Tonk Man… Martel goes for the Boston Crab but here comes Honky with the guitar and SMASH! Right over Martel’s head and there’s the DQ. Honky and Valentine are really working him over but out runs Tito and by golly Honky and Valentine flee. Martel doesn’t take his help though… grabs the title and leaves… Jake Roberts vs Hercules w/ Bobby Heenan -A different style match with these two as Roberts and Hercules give the fans some more brawling during their 12-minutes. Heenan is really letting Hercules have it out there and screaming at him to break Roberts down. The finish is slick though… Hercules goes for the Torture Rack but Roberts rolls over top of him and then locks in a DDT out of nowhere! 1…..2…..3!!! WWF Tag Team Championship - The Twin Towers w/ Slick vs Demolition -The big boys aren’t playing here. 16-minutes of straight up chaos with these four men. Slick tries to play a role outside the ring but it is Smash that nails him with a right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bossman and Gang give Demolition about as much as they can handle. We see Bossman with a clothesline on Smash and they both go over the top rope to the floor. Gang comes around and hammers Smash but here comes Ax! The referee is counting but this is completely out of hand… now Bossman with the night stick while Smash hits OMG with the chair! This is pure chaos! We’ve got a double DQ out there… these guys are brawling all the way to the back! Brutus Beefcake & The Bulldogs vs Dino Bravo & The Rougeau Brothers w/ Jimmy Hart -Here is a fun six-man.. A lot of juice with all of these guys. Dynamite… well he’s seen better days. Davey Boy looks like he is ready for a big rise in the WWF. Dino on the other side of the ring also looks great. These guys go about 14-minutes… everyone gets involved… the finish sees Dynamite hit a snap suplex on Jacques but here comes Bravo with a big double ax-handle smash! Bravo picks him up and SIDEWALK SLAM! 1…2….3! WWF Championship - Hulk Hogan defends against Big John Studd w/ Bobby Heenan When it comes crashing down and it hurts inside… the Hulkster shows up and blows the roof off of MSG! Hogan is in the white and he is jawing up Big John Studd who is looking fierce but has had better days. These guys have a simple 10-minute match. Hogan gets the go ahead by brawling… then Heenan and Studd turn the tide… Studd works the back and the neck of Hogan all leading to the big hulk up moment. Hogan throws Studd and hits a big boot… but Studd doesn’t go down… then Hogan comes with a BODYSLAM and then the leg drop! 1….2…..3!!! Hogan must pose brother… and he does it right here for the MSG Crowd!

9/25 Superstars of Wrestling w/ Vince McMahon & Jesse the Body Ventura Jesse and Vince join us from the Green Screen to put over a big night of action. Perhaps the most action packed hour of wrestling anywhere on television. They talk about seeing a big match from SummerSlam with the Rougeaus taking on Hillbilly Jim and Tugboat Thomas. We’ll also see Haku and Hercules challenge the Rockers in the US Tag Title Tournament… plus…Boris Zhukov taking on Brutus Beefcake… and Hulk Hogan will be here for the Brother Love Show! Let’s take it to the ring! Koko B Ware defeated Sam Stevens via the Ghostbuster. Throughout the contest, Vince and Jesse put Koko over as one of the highest fliers in the WWF. They talk about him coming from every angle to secure a victory. They put over his friendship with other wrestlers and how he might just be a wildcard when it comes to the Survivor Series in November!  For all the good wrestling we’ve seen thus far… then we see this. It is a comedy match and has a place. Hillbilly and Tugboat fill that Bushwhacker role that is void right now. The Rougeaus are fast and smooth and use their speed and technique to outdo their opponents. Hillbilly Jim ends up chasing Jimmy Hart around while Tugboat Thomas is teamed up on the Rougeaus and they hit a double gut buster and then the 3-count. The Rougeaus have some good heat as they finish up here. Ravishing Rick Rude w/ Bobby Heenan defeated Danny Drake via the Rude Awakening. We even get to see Rude lay a smooch on some unsuspecting women in the crowd. He’s being built back up but he is definitely the gem in the Heenan Family and Bobby is pampering him up as such. We hear Vince and Jesse argue about who has the best body in wrestling… Jesse says it is Rude… Vince wonders if it is Rick Martel or even the Ultimate Warrior. Intercontinental Champion, Rick Martel defeated George Jacobs via the Boston Crab. We got an inset interview from Martel where he openly challenges Honky Tonk Man to come and get his IC title. Jesse and Vince put over this feud brewing and somehow we’ve got Rick Martel turning babyface in front of our very eyes thanks to Honky and the Hart Foundation. Brother Love Show
Brother Love is out here and it doesn’t take long… he asks the question… where oh where is the WWF Champion… then we hear the music hit and the fans explode! The Hulkster is here and he looks to be in tremendous shape. Brother Love then goes right on and tells him to give up the WWF Championship now before someone gets hurt. Hogan tries to speak but Love says that his silence is defining and only the words of the Macho Man will have meaning in this kingdom… then Hogan grabs the microphone. Hulk Hogan: Let me tell you something, Brother Love… I am sick and tired of hearing all the chatter about the Macho Man dude. There is no ruler of the WWF brother… just the big guy upstairs… but this is the crown jewel Brother Love… the WWF Championship is worth more than anything Randy Savage could find. You know something Savage… I saw the contract brother… I saw the fine print… you want to face me at Saturday Night’s Main Event… in front of a million people on live tv… there’s nothing more I would like than to have all of my millions of Hulkamaniacs cheer me on… SO WHATCHA GONNA DO Macho Man WHEN HULKAMANIA DESTROYS YOU!!!!!! The Ultimate Warrior defeated Pauly Tompkins via the BIG SPLASH! The crowd is behind this new guy for the WWF. He has a lot of fire and power which helps. Vince and Jesse are on different sides… Jesse says he is worthless but Vince says he is the future of the WWF. We’ll see. Brutus Beefcake vs Boris Zhukov - An exciting contest here with Brutus coming out to Strut and Cut by the man across the ring from him doesn’t appear to be too enthused about the scissors. This is a decent little 6-minute match but we see Nikolai Volkoff and Ivan Koloff come down… wait just a minute… it is a 3 on 1 out here… Beefcake doesn’t seem to mind as he continues to bring the fight. It doesn’t take too long though and the Russians come from out of the ring into the ring and they are hammering away at Beefcake… Rockers defeated Haku & Hercules w/ Heenan in a US Tag Title Tournament matchup. The Rockers really showed out here and flew around the ring and gave the crowd some big pops. Haku and Hercules don’t play around and break these guys down pretty well but then we see the Rockers fight back with a fierce fire. The highlight is seeing Shawn Michaels leap over the top rope and tackling Haku! This sets up Hercules for a big superkick from Marty… Hercules turns around and Michaels off the top rope with a crossbody and Jannetty then goes on top for the 3-count! The Rockers look strong here… could they be the first US Tag Champions? We’ll find out in a matter of weeks. All American Wrestling with Mean Gene and Paul E… featured Tito Santaa, The Steiner Brothers, Los Boricuas, John Studd, Terry Taylor, Great Muta, ST Jones, & Bad News Brown!

Jumbo has made quite a name for himself in America in this world... he is without question one of the all timers but I wonder how he would be viewed if he had been in America longer. Either way, he's great for the AWA. I hope Kenny P can get one more good run in here... he deserves it.

I love the description of the big spot to end the show with the running across the ring. When I trained, they had a thing called a Memphis spot... reminiscent of that here. Great explanation of the ratings... is Lawler the Draw? Time will tell.

Dub C Dub gets turnt with the Roddy one on the mic. I am glad you were able to get him going. I know he has value... but just not my guy I guess. Kind of hoping to see Reed get the tv title... something about him makes me think he can continue to be top tier. I love Dibiase/Williams and the Mid South feel with Gary Hart. Flair and Luger in 88 was a big program... I think you've got all the makings for it to be that here... who else could challenge the Nature Boy as top dog?

"Rugged" Ron Garvin vs "Chief" Wahoo McDaniel - I wonder how loud the slaps were for this matchup. I love the build of Kamala and being an unstopable force. He has always been a monster and with the right wording... could truly be a special attraction... especially winning the Starrcade tournament. As we look at the points... Kamala ad Cowboy Bob take the lead but I see a lot of things happening between now and the end and something makes me think it may look different in the end.

9/18 Prime Time Wrestling w/ Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan Prime Time opens up this week with Gorilla and Bobby and Heenan is just all smiles. Gorilla asks him what’s going on… Heenan says that Brother Love is on the program this week and he will have the Macho Man Randy Savage… Gorilla says that Heenan and Brother Love and Savage are all just pieces of garbage trying to intimidate Hulk Hogan… but it won’t work. Heenan points out that Hogan has said everything and given away his hand… Gorilla says he hasn’t even responded… to which Heenan says… well that’s the point! Gorilla scoffs at him as we hear a run down of the card tonight… Tito Santana in a premiere match against Jacques Rougeau… we’ll see Demolition and the Powers of Pain from the SummerSlam… plus… newcomers Bad News Brown… the Ultimate Warrior… and… the team of the Outlanders… right now though we’ve got action with Terry Taylor! Terry Taylor defeated Mike George via the flying forearm. He is really working the crowd and playing up his cocky persona. He looks like he’s the cock of the walk. Bobby and Gorilla talk about Taylor and Heenan says he’s lost himself… maybe he needs some managerial guidance… Gorilla thinks he needs a stiff kick in the pants. Bobby and Gorilla turn their attention to some newcomers here in the WWF… Heenan points out how Bad News Brown is maybe the toughest guy he’s ever seen outside of Haku. He wonders just how quickly he can rise to the top here. Gorilla says he’s kept his eyes on quite a few talents but one that really jumps out to him is this Ultimate Warrior. This guy is an animal and someone that looks to be an irresistible force! Bad News Brown defeated Lyle Jacobs Bobby and Gorilla go back and forth on whether Bad News would join the Heenan Family… consensus is no… speaking of Families… the Steiner Brothers… these two brothers from Michigan have made a nem for themselves already here in the WWF… they are in the running for the US Tag Team Championship… let’s go to the ring and see them in action. The Steiner Brothers defeated Ken Wallace and Mark Richards. Interestingly enough… we see Mike Rotundo come out and join the Brothers during their match. Rick doesn’t seem to mind while Scott seems pissed about it. First Sullivan and now Rotundo… what is happening here? We’re back and Gorilla and Bobby highlight the US tag Title tournament from here on out… we’ve got the Rockers, the Rougeau Brothers, the Twin Towers, the Steiners, the Bulldogs, this new team the Outlanders and of course… the team of Haku and Hercules… plus Hillbilly Jim and his buddy Tugboat Thomas! We’ll see some special matches in the coming weeks with these teams… right now… one of the Rougeaus is in singles action… let’s go to the ring. Jacques Rougeua vs Tito Santana - A pretty good contest here with both mean throwing it all out for the fans. Some chicanery with Raymond Rougeau who comes out to try and stir the shit… wait a second now Dino Bravo… and Greg Valentine… the entire Hart Foundation is out here and Tito is fighting for his life. In true Tito fashion… he hits a school boy for the 3-count out of nowhere and Jacques can’t believe it! The others members of the foundation pounce in the ring and lay the boots to Tito until the British Bulldogs run down to slow things up a bit. This has all the makings of an all out war! Bobby and Gorilla put over the issue with Rick Martel and the Honky Tonk Man… Gorilla says that Martel will be in action next week and maybe he we will hear from him about the issue with the Hart Foundation. Gorilla points out how a guy like our next competitor could take down any foundation or family here in the WWF… he is the Ultimate Warrior! The Ultimate Warrior destroyed Sam Dukes Brother Love is live and he is putting over the return of the one and the only… Macho Man Randy Savage. He then goes on to say that Hulk Hogan will be his special guest next week and he can’t wait to hear what Hogan has to say. Brother Love will have everything ready for Hulk Hogan to relinquish the WWF Championship to the Macho Man and the reign of Madness will rule FOREVER! Savage continues to berate Hogan saying that he is nothing but a paper champion with no chance of beating the Man. Savage says he has the challenge laid out for the Main Event on Saturday October 21st… Hogan… sign the line and seal your fate once and for all FOREVER! Bobby and Gorilla really pump up the Macho Man. He is going to be a force here in the WWF and he hasn’t even stepped into the ring yet. Gorilla puts it out there… does Heenan manage Savage to which Heenan says he advises him. Gorilla wonders just what the Hulkster is going to say next week on the Brother Love show… here comes a croney… he hands something to Gorilla… wait just a second folks… it seems like we have something sent to us… from WWF Champion Hogan…Bobby can’t believe it… what does he have to say? Hulk Hogan: Well you know something… all my Hulkamaniacs out there have been wondering where the Hulkster is… well I am here to tell you that I am back in the good ol USA and I have got the WWF Championship right here and Macho Man Randy Savage… I am telling you right now… Hulkamania is coming! I am coming to the Brother Love show to shut him up for good and then Randy Savage… I AM COMING FOR YOU!!!! The Outlanders Skinner Steve and Maniac Matt defeated Los Conquistadors Gorilla and Bobby bring us back for our final segment. They continue to pump up the Hulk Hogan announcement. He will be on Brother Love next week… Gorilla is pumped and Bobby is starting to sweat…They put over the WWF Tag Team Championship and how Demolition has had such a grip on the titles for so long… they wonder just who could try and take them. Bobby says that Bundy and Studd want their shot… so do Haku and Hercules… Gorilla says they need to go the back of the line because Demolition has serious contenders in their view already… let’s take a look at them from SummerSlam! Demolition vs Powers of Pain w/ Mr. Fuji for the WWF Tag Team Championship
 The Tag Titles on the line and it is the battle of the paint. Demolition are just so damn over. The POP look the part and they get some extra heat with Fuji. Ax and Smash… what sets them apart from other teams is their ability to sell… and they do it in amazing fashion. Barbarian and Warlord come out of this looking like monsters and they come this close to winning. Just when it looks like things are going to finish… Demolition comes back with a fire.Fuji is getting worried outside the ring… Warlord grabs Smash and holds him… Fuji is up on the apron and swings the cane but Smash moves and Warlord gets ROCKED. Plus… Intercontinental Champion, Rick Martel will be on the Brother Love show. We’ll also see the tag team champions, Demolition! Right now it is time to get to the ring for our opening contest… Koko Ware defeated Mark Stevens with the Ghostbuster. Vince and Jesse talk about how Koko is really a high flying competitor and someone who will be looking to earn their shot against Rick Martel or Hulk Hogan. Jesse says Koko is dreaming if he thinks that he’s going to be WWF Champion. Vince questions Jesse’s motives… Ventura says that he has got to beat some of the top competition in the WWF and he just hasn’t done it yet! Demolition beat the hell out of The Conquistadors. Jesse and Vince pump up how Demolition have held the tag titles for quite some time… but so many challengers are looming. Jesse would love to see the Powers of Pain get a rematch… he also points out the Twin Towers… Vince talks about the Rockers or the Bulldogs. Time will tell if the champions can keep the gold! ST Jones defeated Bob Ryder with a top rope drop kick. ST looks good tonight and Jesse wonders what he can do against a guy like Haku or Hercules. Vince even throws out Terry Taylor’s name as someone who would be good competition for him. ST looks good but who knows what his future looks like. Event Center: Mean Gene is in the event center and he’s got a couple of big topics to put over. The first is October 21st, Saturday Night’s Main Event… it is going to be a whale of a night on NBC headlined by the US Tag title tournament coming to a head. Mean Gene also puts over a couple of new debuts in the WWF… the first being the man from Harlem who follows his own rules… and the man from parts Unknown… the Ultimate Warrior! Warrior: AHHHGGHGHGHHH The WWF is the new hunting ground for the Ultimate Warrior. I took a space ship from parts unknown to come here and lay the sacrifice of all my little warriors. It is you… you who deny the power of the Ultimate Warrior that will fall to my knees. I am going to take on any and all comers and show the world why all my warriors follow me. If you are in my way… you will go down… Down…. DOWN! Gene has a funny look on his face as the Ultimate Warrior has some words for us… we also have Gene put over the Hart Foundation that Jimmy Hart has put together but wonders how they would do against the Twin Towers and their new manager… Slick. Slick: Well let me lay it on the line for each and every one of you people out there. I sent the Twin Towers to the WWF to set the foundation if you will… now the Slicker is here to build them up and destroy everything in our path. Demolition… the Rockers… the Bulldogs… it don’t matter who you are or how bad you think you can be… you looking at the baddest and the best! Gene then turns his attention to Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan. He has word that Randy Savage has challenged Hulk Hogan… for a WWF Championship Match at Saturday Night’s Main Event! Mean Gene says he has more from Randy Savage who had these words about Hulk Hogan… Randy Savage: Hogan! Where are you Hogan? Your silence is saying more than your words ever could yeah! You know I am the rightful king of wrestling and the WWF Championship is the crown jewel that will solidify my reign of madness. I challenge you, Hulk Hogan. I challenge you and every single Hulkamaniac out there to walk that aisle and meet me face to face! You talk about the red and yellow… Hogan when I see you… I only see the yellow streak down your back as you run for the mountains in complete and utter terror of the Macho Man! DIG IT! Gene puts over that issue and wonders just what Bobby Heenan’s role in everything will be. Right now let’s head to the ring for more WWF action! Jimmy Snuka w/ Andre the Giant defeated TNT via the Superfly Smash! Jesse and Vince argue about whether Andre and Snuka could go for the tag titles… but Jesse says that there is still a challenge out there for Andre and Snuka… Bundy and Rude. They will be the ones who give Andre and Snuka their toughest test. Vince wonders when we’ll see that big time contest. Snuka is in great shape and looks good tonight… Andre looks like he’s enjoying his role. Haku w/ Bobby Heenan beats the piss out of Erick Lane. Vince and Jesse talk about the Heenan Family and how it has grown with Rude, Bundy, Studd, Hercules, and Haku. Jesse wonders if there is a weak link in there but Vince says it is the Brain who is the weak link. Either way… Haku is a BAMF and wins easy. Brutus Beefcake cuts and struts all over Kenny Xavier. We even get a hair cut with Brutus throwing the hair around the ring. Jesse says that at some point someone is going to get the best of Beefcake and cut his hair! Vince says that day may come but it is not today! Brother Love show w/ Rick Martel is an interesting take on things. Love puts over Rick Martel as a good champion but perhaps not a great champion. Martel challenges Brother Love a little bit but then we see Honky Tonk Man and Jimmy Hart walk out… this is getting interesting… Honky comes out and says he is the next in line for the Intercontinental Championship match. Martel says that he has defended the title for a long time now and faced a lot of top contenders… but Honky isn’t one of them. (Fans pop) Martel says that he is a wrestler and a champion who defends his title… so if Honky wants to get a shot… he is going to have to get to the back of the line and earn it! (The crowd is popping here…) Martel turns his back on Honky and Honky pulls him back… Martel tells him to quit singing and start dancing or he is going to go to sleep! Martel turns his back again… Honky grabs the megaphone and WHAM! Honky and Jimmy put the boots to Martel… Brother Love is laughing it up and loving it. Martel is left on the floor while the Trio walk out with smiles on their faces. Bad News Brown makes his debut. He beats the hell out of Mark Rivers. The Ghetto Blaster spells the end. Bad News has a little more attitude than he did in his actual run. He is a legit take no prisoners kind of guy. Jesse and Vince put over how he is a contender right from the get go. He could be a guy they will be talking about for a long time as a champion here in the WWF! British Bulldogs vs Dino Bravo & Greg Valentine w/ Jimmy Hart
 Davey and Dynamite get us going here tonight and their feud with the Jimmy Hart crew is well documented. These guys have 15-minutes and use all of them. Valentine and Bravo do have aspirations as a team but just not a great blend tonight. Gorilla and Jesse talk about the US tag titles and this match playing a role in that tournament. The finish is right at the buzzer when Valentine and Dino knock heads and Dynamite clotheslines Valentine out of the ring and Davey Boy German Suplexes Dino for the 3-count! UWF bringing a different flavor to the table - I am getting more intrigued by this promotion as you continue to evolve. I will definitely give you props on the presentation and the overall feel of the shows being different than those we run in the states.

AWA is up for a big shot in the arm with some new faces and Kerry Von Erich is the biggest. 1988 - he still has a solid name and can go. I feel like he's going to run the AWA into the 90s. Brawl in St. Paul brings me back to my Windy City days... great name and shows coming up.

Tennessee is the newest hotbed in professional wrestling. The traveling show goes to music city and by golly we've got some shit going down. Ms. Elizabeth... did do some commentary work or maybe just interviews back in the day... I feel like she has value in other roles than silent manager to the Macho Man. I love the pictures of who you've got in your promotion but I'd rather see photos of the people in the crowds for these shows!

PCW continues to shine with the brightest young stars in wrestling. A lot to be desired out West for sure.

Awesome feel for WCW right now... like others have said... you have the formula and now you start to put in your individual pieces that make it special. Young Guns came out August 12 of 1988... good use of the name... but does Turner own the rights? Great promos from Sting and Luger. Two solid MVPs... which will rise? Props on Gary Hart... an unheralded manager for the era but also in WCW during his short tenure. He always meant business.

Kamala making waves over Wahoo is a huge victory in my opinion. I always love the way these shows are put together. I'd like to see more of a leaderboard type thing to see how the blocks are shaking out but I can say that the Starrcade stuff has been great to follow.

9/4 Prime Time Wrestling w/ Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan We open Prime Time this week with Gorilla and Bobby standing by in the event center. They put over the huge night of action that was SummerSlam. We will see matches from that event brought to you by Coliseum Home Video over the next couple of weeks… but…Bobby Heenan interrupts to put over the arrival of Randy Savage. Gorilla asks about Rude losing to Hogan… Heenan says it is all part of the plan. Gorilla thinks he’s crazy… we’ve got a lot of big matches here this evening as we lead up to October the 21st, Saturday Night’s Main Event… a big night that will be. Right now let’s head to the ring! Koko B Ware makes his debut against Adam Wright and hits the Ghostbuster for the 3-count! Gorilla and Bobby are back and they continue to pump up SummerSlam. Gorilla points out how this guy… Terry Taylor wasn’t on the card and he was quite upset about it. Heenan says that Taylor has got all the tools but the management… it will be the key to him becoming a true competitor here. Gorilla says that he’s smart enough to know that Heenan is bad news… Terry Taylor comes out and we start to see him go a little more heel… he takes on Roy Timbs and beats him with a piledriver. Taylor starts to give the crowd the business as he leaves the ringside area. Gorilla and Bobby pump up the tag division and talk about Demolition and the list of challengers… the Powers of Pain want another shot… the Rockers… the Rougeaus… the Bulldogs… and now… the Twin Towers. Bobby says that the Towers are one of the most dangerous teams… and now that… well just wait and see as Heenan smiles to the camera. The Twin Towers come out to the ring… but then they stop… all of a sudden Jive Soul Bro hits the PA and here comes the Slickster! Slick takes the Twin Towers down to the ring and they beat the shit out of two dudes who will remain nameless due to the mauling. Slick has his Twin Towers… what could this mean for the rest of the WWF?!? Event Center: Gene welcomes us to the Event Center and he puts over the arrival of Slick who is managing the Twin Towers. He says that the Towers have already made it clear that they want a shot at the WWF Tag Titles… Demolition better be ready. Plenty of new faces in the WWF… we saw Koko B Ware earlier… the high flier is going to be all over the ring and all over the country. The success of SummerSlam is still going and we will see some of the winners from our US Tag Title tournament going on. We’ll see the Rockers taking on the Twin Towers along with the Bulldogs taking on the Rougeaus in the coming weeks. The winners from those matches will go head to head at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Speaking of that… Saturday October 21st, we saw the debut of the Macho Man. He showed up with Brother Love and put out the challenge for WWF Champion Hulk Hogan. Here are some words from Savage… Randy Savage: Hulk Hogan… where are you?!? The King awaits your presence and Hogan when you see me… you will need to bow down at my feet. Hogan… I want you to do the just thing and hand me the WWF Championship as it will be my crown jewel for the REIGN OF MADNESS! OHHH YEAAAHHHH Mean Gene goes on to say that Savage has challenged Hogan for a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Will Hogan accept the challenge? Some of the WWF Wrestlers have already said that Savage is due a shot while others think he should wait his turn. We’ll see what happens in the coming weeks. Gorilla and Heenan are back and they’re going back and forth on the Intercontinental Championship. Heenan says that Martel better start accepting some new challengers… Gorilla says he has almost taken on everyone… Heenan says that Haku and Hercules wouldn’t mind a shot… how about Bundy… Studd… or maybe Rick Rude? Gorilla points out how those guys need to get on the rebound if they want a shot at someone the caliber of Rick Martel. Let’s see Hercules in action! Hercules w/ Bobby Heenan defeated Bobby Holly via the Torture Rack! We’re back and Gorilla and Bobby put over the US tag title tournament. We’ll see the Rockers and Twin Towers go up against one another along with the Rougeaus and the Bulldogs. The winners will face off at the next Saturday Night’ s Main Event for the US tag titles. Heenan wants dibs on the first challenge… Gorilla asks who? Bobby says that Bundy and Studd are primed for gold… maybe Demolition will finally answer the challenge. Two guys who are up for any challenge are the Rockers… let’s go to the ring. The Rockers defeated Pauly Moore & Ryan Hawkins. The Rockers really have a good ovation from the crowd. Gorilla and Bobby return to talk about some of the up and coming new faces… they put over Jake Roberts… Maniac Matt… The Nasty Boys… the Honky Tonk man is back… and what about Kevin Sullivan? Heenan says that it is anyone’s game out here right now… all roads lead to the Survivor Series… it’s going to be an amazing showcase of talent. Gorilla says that it is team warfare there… Heenan says it is every family for themselves… Gorilla wonders if Jake the Snake will find his way onto a team… or perhaps Damien will… Jake The Snake Roberts defeated Mike Thompson via the DDT! Here is Damien once again… We return for our final segment and we get to see some more hype about SummerSlam. We get to watch a showcase from that event with Beefcake and Haku. Heenan says this is the beginning… and soon it will be the end for anyone in the way of the Family. Gorilla asks if Andre resembles that remark… Heenan says he has got nothing but pain in store for Andre… they put over SummerSlam one more time as we see a matchup from that event. Beefcake has good skills to get the crowd going… but he sells for Haku who doesn’t give him a choice. We get a brawl outside the ring and then Bobby Heenan chicanery when he grabs Brutus’ leg while Haku sneaks back in for a count out victory! Beefcake doesn’t take the loss well though… he grabs Heenan and looks to cut his hair but Haku and the Brain make an escape. Wwf adds Johnny Ace

I love Spivey in the Horsemen... needless to say it was on the docket if I would have stayed in control. You're doing work with WCW and making it just different enough to make it unique and powerful in our world. I am also a fan of Zenk being around as TV champ... he had talent... but just overshadowed by the guys who could cut promos. Lastly, Ron Simmons... without question is one of the true up and comers in this game world. I think he will have a huge upside as it seems we're all fans of him.

I feel like I need to see some matches to better build my capacity for this type of promotion. I loved Pride and really enjoyed UFC and I am in the middle of the understanding of those and this. I appreciate the hard work for sure.

SummerSlam 88 August 29th Dark Matches: The Steiner Brothers defeated The Nasty Boys in a hard fought bout that featured a nasty tilt-a-whirl from Scott on Sags for the finish.
 The SST vs The Twin Towers was a battle of some hoss teams. Bossman and Gang are a force to be reckoned with though… and they take out all their frustration on the SST and Bossman hits a Bossman slam on Samu for the 3-count. {We see a special video showcasing the big matches on SummerSlam tonight. Rude and Hogan is the marquee contest along with Andre and Snuka v Studd and Hercules. We see the other two title matches highlighted and then we see the MSG crowd going wild. Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura are in the crow’s nest… let’s get it going…} Gorilla and Jesse go back and forth about the monumental event that this is. The biggest event of the summer… it is the most talked about event in sports and entertainment. Tonight we will see three titles on the line and the big one, the world title is going to be decided in a lumberjack match. Jesse points out how dangerous a lumberjack match can be due to the fact that you don’t know who will be outside and you don’t know how they will act when they try to get you back in the ring. Don’t be shocked in someone gets some clean shots in on Hogan and weaken the world champion… Jesse predicts Rude will walk away with the gold. Gorilla says they have gotten word that something may have happened to Tito Santana on the way to the event… we’ll have more as the doctors continue to check on him in the back… right now let’s get to our opening contest! British Bulldogs vs Dino Bravo & Greg Valentine w/ Jimmy Hart
 Davey and Dynamite get us going here tonight and their feud with the Jimmy Hart crew is well documented. These guys have 15-minutes and use all of them. Valentine and Bravo do have aspirations as a team but just not a great blend tonight. Gorilla and Jesse talk about the US tag titles and this match playing a role in that tournament. The finish is right at the buzzer when Valentine and Dino knock heads and Dynamite clotheslines Valentine out of the ring and Davey Boy German Suplexes Dino for the 3-count! In the back we see Jimmy Hart and he’s got the Rougeau Brothers all hyped up. They put over their match with the Hillbillies in a couple of minutes but say that the Bulldogs are at the top of their list for people to take out when it is all said and done. Bravo and Valentine look winded… Honky looks pissed… Hart has his hands full! Jake The Snake Roberts vs The Iron Sheik Jake the Snake comes out to a huge ovation from the crowd. The Iron Sheik is giving the fans all they can handle. He and Jake only get about 8-minutes… there’s a little heat but Jake ends up getting control and hitting the DDT! The fans want to see it… here comes Damien and Sheiky baby is out like a light. Kevin Von Erich vs The Great Muta A very special entrance from the Great Muta who comes out in his ceremonial garb. Von Erich sells his presence enough… these two then engage in a 12-minute contest in which we see highlights of Muta’s skills and Von Erich’s speed. The highlight is the finish where Muta runs and Kevin tosses him up and over his back… Muta then from the top rope with a MOONSAULT on Kevin Von Erich for the 1….2…3! Gorilla and Jesse call it an upset… We’re in the back and Mean Gene is standing by with Demolition. Ax and Smash have got the titles in their hands but they know there are plenty of teams gunning for them. Ax and Smash say that the more teams that come the more that will get knocked down! Tonight, they take care of Fooge the Stooge and the Powers of Pain… but it won’t be long until the next challenger comes up and they get demolished too! Hillbilly Jim & Tugboat Thomas vs The Rougeau Brothers w/ Jimmy Hart
 For all the good wrestling we’ve seen thus far… then we see this. It is a comedy match and has a place. Hillbilly and Tugboat fill that Bushwhacker role that is void right now. The Rougeaus are fast and smooth and use their speed and technique to outdo their opponents. Hillbilly Jim ends up chasing Jimmy Hart around while Tugboat Thomas is teamed up on the Rougeaus and they hit a double gut buster and then the 3-count. The Rougeaus have some good heat as they finish up here. Rick Rude is in the back with Bobby Heenan and Mean Gene. They put over the SummerSlam at the biggest event of the summer and perhaps the year for the WWF because it is time for Rick Rude to ascend to the top of the mountain. Rick Rude is going to be the next WWF Champion and all of the roster is going to be around the ring to watch it happen! Rude says that Hogan has said his prayers… eaten his vitamins… and trained for nothing because it is all going to be a Rude Awakening tonight! Brutus Beefcake vs Haku w/ Bobby Heenan

He is going to take on all comers and tonight put an end to Tito Santana once and for all! Demolition vs Powers of Pain w/ Mr. Fuji for the WWF Tag Team Championship
 The Tag Titles on the line and it is the battle of the paint. Demolition are just so damn over. The POP look the part and they get some extra heat with Fuji. Ax and Smash… what sets them apart from other teams is their ability to sell… and they do it in amazing fashion. Barbarian and Warlord come out of this looking like monsters and they come this close to winning. Just when it looks like things are going to finish… Demolition comes back with a fire.Fuji is getting worried outside the ring… Warlord grabs Smash and holds him… Fuji is up on the apron and swings the cane but Smash moves and Warlord gets ROCKED. Ax clotheslines Barbarian out of the ring and then he and Smash with a double clothesline on Warlord and get the 3-count! 
Brother Love is out in the middle of the ring and he is working the crowd. He talks about how he has been sent to the WWF to save everyone… to save them from the moral disruption that is the likes of Hulkamania… Andre the Giant… and so many others who don’t really love them like he does. Love was brought into the WWF to spread the word of LOVE for a number of reasons but most importantly it was a very special person that asked him to start spreading that word. It was a very important man that wanted all of you to understand that he has Love for you… the people… all lof you peasants. You see I am here… to do the bidding of the ONE TRUE CHAMPION OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…. THE MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE!!! The crowd pops as here comes the Macho MAN! Savage is on fire coming to the ring. He steps into the ring and the Macho Man takes aim… Randy Savage: I am here to rectify the World Wrestling Federation from the disease known as Hulkamania! I am here to let you people not look up to Andre the Giant but to bow down to the rightful champion. I am here to set the record straight that the Macho Man is the leader of this sport and there’s no one who can lace my boots. To every peasant in the crowd… every wrestler in the back… everyone watching at home… the Macho Man is here… and the REIGN OF MADNESS HAS BEGUN! OHHHHHH YEAAAAAHHHHH! Mean Gene is in the back with the Rockers… they all three put over the arrival of the Macho Man Randy Savage. The Rockers know that Savage only means trouble for all those involved. The Rockers then talk about the Russians and how tonight the Rockers will be greased lightning and be too hot to handle and too cold to hold all the way to a victory! The Rockers vs The Russians
 The fans are still trying to settle down as we head into our next contest and here comes the Rockers. They are really looking special here tonight and the fans eat them up. We have a little history on the other side of the ring. Ivan Koloff and Nicolai Volkoff are very accomplished and well rounded in the ring. Neither of them in their prime but they do work well enough together to get some good heat on the Rockers. Marty and Shawn have to fight back and they do so. Their quickness spells the end for the Russians with a couple of big double dropkicks and then a double superkick on Nicolai and the 3-count! The Rockers get a big win and the crowd. Hulk Hogan and Gene are in the back and well the Hulkster isn’t very happy… well you know something Mean Gene… a lot of people can walk down that aisle brother and say just about anything they want but there are few who can really back it up in the ring brother. Randy Savage and I know one another quite well dude but what I don’t get is why he thinks he can come in here and eradicate the most powerful force in the universe… Hulkamania. Savage… I want you to take a nice long look tonight because Ravishing Rick Rude is a lot like you dude… a guys who has an ego writing checks that he’ll never be able to cash. Rick Rude… in front of 20,000 people in the arena… the WWF roster at Ringside… WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN HULKAMANIA RUDLEY DESTROYS YOU! Tito Santana vs Rick Martel for the Intercontinental Championship
 Former partners now become true enemies inside the ring. These two fought a couple of weeks ago at Saturday Night’s Main Event but went to a 20-minute draw. This one's for 30-minutes and these guys have a helluva match. Martel is a true pro and he looks ready for war. Tito is an all pro as well. These two go about 18-minutes… drenched in sweat… move for move and hold for hold. We get into the final series and Tito sets up Martel and goes for the huge flying forest and nails him all the way out of the ring. Tito knows he has to get the pin or submission though.. He goes out and Martel pulls his trunks and Tito goes crashing into the guardrail! Tito has got a busted jaw but Martel throws him back in the ring… he is looking for the Boston Crab but Tito kicks him back into the turnbuckle! Tito gets up and nails him with 3 big shots and then goes to the ropes for the flying forearm but Martel catches him and hot shot him off the top rope! Martel covers for the 1…2….3! Martel retains the title and he looks to have a solid grip on the gold right now. Who could challenge him in the future? Andre & Snuka v Studd & Hercules w/ Bobby Heenan 
Heenan has got his two monsters ready for war here tonight. Heenan works the crowd but they erupt when Andre comes out. He is in the twilight of his career… a career that took a different turn and he stayed babyface and kept his fans. He and Snuka are a fun team and compliment one another quite well. Hercules and Studd are power, power, and power. We get some fun spots with Andre getting caught in the ropes. Heenan even gets up there and gets some shots in. Snuka then comes out of nowhere with a dropkick on Hercules sending him out of the ring to the floor. Andre has his arm free and he NAILS Studd! Andre gets up and Studd comes for another shot but Andre picks him up and BODYSLAM! Wait a moment… Snuka goes up top… and now he’s on Andre’s shoulders for the SUPERFLY SMASH on Studd for the 1….2…..3!!! Andre and Snuka get the win and the crowd pops. Hulk Hogan vs Ravishing Rick Rude in a Lumberjack Match for the WWF Championship
Lumberjacks include: The Rockers, The Bulldogs, The Steiner Brothers, Brutus Beefcake, and Tugboat Thomas. On the other side of the ring we see the Rougeau Brothers, Valentine, Bravo, Hercules, and late to the party is John Studd. What a moment to see the ring surrounded and see Rude come out in 100% heel glory. He and Heenan just eat it up from the crowd and the fans are letting em have it. Then we hear the Hulkster’s music and this place comes UNGLUED! Even the guys at ringside have to take a look… this is a phenomenon. Hogan gets in and ropes off the short and looks like a Million Dollars. Rude and Hogan engage in a 18-minute contest that has a lot of moving parts. Early on we see Hogan get the best of Rude with the posing and power… plus he sends him out to the lumberjacks who are able to throw him back in the ring. The tide then turns when Heenan is trying to get Hogan’s attention and Rude with a nasty knee to Hogan’s back! Rude then sends Hogan out and there is a contingent with Studd, Haku, and Bravo that take the time to kick the hell out of Hogan. Here comes the others to break it up. Rude then goes into a nice heat segment and works over the neck and back. Hogan is able to make a quick little comeback… he gets in some offense and even an Atomic Drop that Rude sells like only he can do. Once again, Rude pulls Hogan down through the ropes and he is outside again. The heels are going after him again. Brutus and the Rockers. We then go into the final segment with Rude looking to finish. Rude then hits a nasty piledriver! Hogan sells it well but Rude is just posing… he is working the crowd and the guys around the ring. Rude then picks up Hogan and hits the RUDE AWAKENING! Rude swivels his hips and covers for the 1…..2…..KICK OUT! Hogan is HULKING UP! A couple of shots by Rude but Hogan is working his way up and says NO WAY! He hammers Rude once, twice, and then throws him to the ropes for the big boot and Rude is down. Here comes the LEG DROP for the 1….2…..3!!! Hogan has won it! The babyfaces come in the ring and celebrate with him. The heels are threatening to come in and keep it going and Hogan is challenging all of them. He turns his back and starts to work the crowd… but when he turns around… RANDY SAVAGE IS ON THE APRON! Savage is pointing right at Hogan and he jumps in the ring. Savage is really throwing some words at him and Hogan is jawing back… now they are nose to nose… Savage backs up and he SLAPS HOGAN! HERE WE GO! HERE WE GO!The ring is filled as all the workers are holding Hogan and Savage back from one another. Savage is pointing his finger right at Hogan. Oh man… what is next for these guys?!

8/28 Prime Time Wrestling w/ Mean Gene Okerlund & Lord Alfred Hayes Gorilla and Bobby are on location here in New York City. They are shown inside the Four Seasons restaurant. Gorilla says they will be ordering some appetizers and enjoying the big night of action as we prepare for SummerSlam tomorrow night… Gorilla tries once again to get out of Bobby who Brother Love’s guest tomorrow night will be but Heenan takes a drink of his water and smiles and says… “History will be made Monsoon!” Gorilla scoffs, let’s head to the ring for our opening contest! The Rockers defeated Brett Stevens & Erik Von Hess! We come back from the matchup and the Rockers are on a heater right now. Perhaps the hottest team going into SummerSlam… Gorilla thinks they’ll be the top contenders for the US tag titles and then, hopefully, a big title match with Demolition down the line. Bobby says that the Rockers have got a lot of tools and talent but they are missing management… Heenan doesn’t say he will do it but says someone out there might. Gorilla laughs at him… the waiter takes their order… looks like Gorilla is going to order some salad but just as Heenan goes to order, the waiter walks away and Gorilla sends us to our next match. Los Boricuas make their debut against Tim Thomas & Riley Steele and defeat them when Perez hits a nasty spinning heel kick! Prime Time is back and Gorilla is eating his salad and Heenan is trying to get a bite but Gorilla pokes his hands with the fork. Gorilla says he is going to have the salmon and Bobby says that he’s going to have a club special sandwich. They put over the big WWF title match tomorrow night and say that the Lumberjacks are going to play a role… but will it help or hurt Hulk Hogan. Who could get involved? Let’s head to the ring for our next contest… The Rougeau Brothers w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Bob Gardener & Hugh Mason. Gorilla is finished with his salad and sends it to the back. Takes a fresh drink of his water and Heenan is still trying to get a refill. Gorilla talks about Rick Martel and Tito… perhaps the match of the night on paper. These two will leave it all in the ring but only one will leave with the title. Another big match includes Kevin Von Erich and the Great Muta… let’s take a look. Kevin Von Erich defeated Wallace Ray via the CLAW! We’re back and Bobby and Gorilla start putting over the US tag title tournament… they say tomorrow at SummerSlam, there will be a series of tag team matches that go through our first round. President Jack Tunney is keeping everything under wraps though… we’ll see who can rise up. One team on the rise right now is Fatu and Samu… the Samoan Swat Team! The Samoan Swat Team defeated Ryan Stiles & Lenny Ringo! Once we get back from the match… Gorilla has his food delivered and Heenan is still waiting on his. Gorilla’s salmon looks tasty… they put over Brother Love’s show tomorrow night… who will the guest be? Right now he has got a pair of special guests… The Twin Towers! Brother Love Show featuring the Twin Towers… (don’t mind Akeem, One Man Gang is getting a new figure in the mail soon). Brother Love talks about the true power of love… and justice. These two men have all the love in the world for Justice and they like to dish it out every chance they get. Bossman and OMG come out and they cut quick promos on some of the tag teams in the WWF. We hear them talk about Demolition being nothing but clowns with paint to cover up their ugly faces. The Bulldogs are just puppies in a big dog’s world. The Rockers are teenie boppers who are going to get bopped right out of the WWF! They talk about how the Bossman knows what is it all about to be on a Swat Team but the Samoan’s are going to find out the hard way that you don’t play cop or you get dealt with! We’re back on Prime Time and Gorilla is finishing up his Salmon and Heenan still hasn’t gotten his food. He is starting to complain but Gorilla tells him to act the right way or we will get kicked out of here. Gorilla takes one more bite as we head to the ring for the sensation that is the Great Muta! The Great Muta defeated Bruce Cartwright We’re back… Gorilla is sending his food back and asks for the check. He and Bobby talk about Jake Roberts and just how dangerous of an opponent he is for anyone. Bobby says he doesn’t like Snakes and Gorilla says maybe they don’t like you! Here comes the Bill as Gorilla sends us to the ring. Jake Roberts defeated Walker Stevens with the DDT and then we got to see Damien again! Prime Time returns and now Heenan is irate. Gorilla tells him to calm down. They have their final plugs for SummerSlam, live tomorrow night from Madison Square Garden! Gorilla acts like he sees someone he knows… Hands Heenan the check… sends it to the ring! MAIN EVENT: Dynamite Kid vs Dino Bravo w/ Jimmy Hart {A little preview of what we’ll see tomorrow in tag team action. Dynamite… well he is at the point where everything looks like it hurts on him. Bravo is a pro and we get a great 9-minute contest which is quite long for television right now. We see some good, quick offense from Dynamite and then some deliberate offense from Bravo. Bravo also throws in some power moves to break down Dynamite but he fights back in a big way. Here comes Valentine… he is joining Jimmy outside the ring… they are messing with Dynamite but here comes Davey Boy! We have a brawl outside the ring… but this gives Jimmy a chance… he tosses in the megaphone… Bravo nails Dynamite… tosses it back out and gets the 3-count! He says Monsoon needs to pay for it but Gorilla is nowhere to be found. They are escorting Heenan out of the restaurant and he’s causing problems.
