I really appreciate the specialty that your shows have. You have a great writing style and the detail really tells the story. I continue to stick with the guys I know but appreciate the input you have and the stuff you put out there.

Just know this exists. Over two years ago I made that robocop figure in order to do this… sorry I haven’t been able to keep up with pictures in quite some time.

May 17th Only caught the cliff notes version of World Championship Wrestling this week. Tatanka & Wahoo McDaniel vs Ivan & Nikita Koloff was an okay match… Nikita was a monster… Ivan and Wahoo had some fun nostalgia work… but Wahoo ate a nasty Russian Sickle! Diamond Studd had a nice win and put over his big TV title shot this week… he says the Z-Man is is going DOWN! Ricky Steamboat with a promo about how he plans to be at Capital Combat and looks forward to all the action. He is going to keep a close eye on Paul E! Paul E and Muta cut a promo on Lex Luger… the titles will be unified this week but in reality it will be Muta who will be the Undisputed World Champion! Lex Luger cuts a promo on Muta and says he has great respect for his ability in the ring but says his weakest point is Paul E and Luger doesn’t care if he’s there or not… Luger will walk away with the World Title and be the champion! Eight Man Tag - The Rockers & The Road Warriors vs Abdullah, One Man Gang, & The Samoans w/ Gary Hart was a good one… good to see the babyfaces on the same side of things… especially knowing they will be in the ring against one another in just a matter of days. The finish sees the chaos ensue with all the men… but then a double superkick on Samu is all she wrote… WCW finishes with a promo from Sting… he puts over the big PPV… he says he’ll be there for Flyin Brian… he wants him to become the US Champion and he’ll be there for Luger… he wants him to walk away with the World Title… but then we see Zeus coming out… he’s got Gary Hart with him now… wait… here comes the Samoans… One Man Gang… Abdullah… Sting is being surrounded… will Robocop be able to help Sting this week at Captial Combat? Capital Combat – Washington DC – Armory – Monday - May 19, 1990 Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura welcome everyone to the DC Armory here for WCW’s Capital Combat! All the hype is put on Luger vs Muta for the unified world title tonight… plus Sting is here and he’s got some help in Robocop! We’ll also see the Tag Titles on the line with the Road Warriors and the Rockers… plus a big one with the tv title on the line between the Diamond Studd and The Z-Man! How could we forget… the 7’7” El Gigante will be here tonight and he is going to have a word or two to say to Tully Blanchard on behalf of JJ Dillon! Let’s take it to the ring for our opening contest! We get things kicked off with a hot tag team match… here comes Masa Chono and Kensuke Sasuke and they’ve got the big guy, Scott Norton in their corner. They’re opponents… Davey Boy Smith and Owen Hart come out to a great ovation from the crowd. These two teams show up tonight and put on one helluva 12-minute opener. Owen and Davey are coming into their own as a tag team and it is said that the winner of this one could be in line for a contest with Power and Glory soon for the US tag Team Titles. Scott “Flash” Norton is getting involved in every turn and before long one has to wonder what Owen and Davey can do to combat him… well that is until Owen nails him with a spinning heel kick and sends him flying off the apron. Sasuke and Chono look like theyre going to finish off Davey but Owen off the top rope and all hell is breaking loose. Here comes Norton again but this time he is thwarted when Ricky the Dragon Steamboat shows up out of nowhere and nails a couple of huge chops. This time Owen comes off the top rope with a standing moonsault on Kensuke and gets the 3-count! Steamboat shakes hands with the boys and it looks like lines are being drawn in the sand here in WCW and Steamboat has picked his side! We get a good promo from Paul E Dangerously, who’s in the back with Tony Schaivone… he says that Muta has prepared for this moment his entire life and tonight in front of the world he’s going to show why he is the one true world champion in wrestling! He then turns his attention to Ricky Steamboat who stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and he’s going to pay for messing with Muta’s friends and Paul E’s associates. Watch your back Rick Steamboat… watch it! Our next contest is scheduled for one fall with a 15-minute time limit. We see the new and improved Mike Rotundo come out with Gamesmaster Kevin Sullivan. He takes on Johnny Ace - who stuck his nose in his business the other night - and it is a pretty blah match. Rotundo has got some good shtick as the Syracuse, Varsity Club guy… but Ace is the shits and it shows. Rotundo hits a nasty Olympic style slam on Ace… dropping him on his head… getting the 3-count! The next contest is a television championship match and is scheduled for one fall - 15-minute time limit. Jesse Ventura is putting Scott Hall through the roof here and saying it is the Diamond Studd’s time and tonight is the night! The Z-Man comes out with a great ovation from the fans… we get a pretty good contest with these two… they could be cut from the same cloth in some regards but the Diamond Studd really does shine in the ring. The finish is pretty hot when Zenk goes for a flying cross body but Studd CATCHES HIM! Studd with a backbreaker but holds him and pulls him back up… FALL AWAY SLAM! Studd says the time is over now… he picks up Zenk and DIAMOND DEATH DROP! 1…..2…3… clean right in the middle of the ring and we’ve got a NEW WCW Television Champion! For the next 4-minutes, all we hear is Jesse Ventura put over the new television champion - to the point where he goes to the back and joins in the celebration. Tony Schiavone comes out to call the next match… The next match is scheduled for one fall and it will be under STREET FIGHT RULES! We see the Skyscrapers come out with Sherri sans Zeus. Here comes the Nasty Boys and by golly we’re in for a fight. This one isn’t pretty - it doesn’t last long… and well… I don’t know it just isn’t good. Knobbs and Sags are getting into their own a little…. Spivey looks top notch… Nash is trying to play his role… Sherri looks good though. Lots of punches and forearms… a good spot with Knobbs bumping out onto the floor due to a huge boot from Spivey off the apron. Nash attempts to pull a powerbomb on Sags but his knee looks to give out and it doesn’t look good. Spivey ends up with a powerbomb on Knobbs… pins him… Spivey and Sherri seem to have words and they leave Nash laying in the ring… are the Skyscrapers tumbling? For whatever that last match was… well this doesn’t make it too much butter… here comes Tully Blanchard… sans wrestling gear… and JJ Dillon brings out the big man, El Gigante! The crowd is going wild for the big man and Tully doesn’t seem happy… he says he isn’t wrestling him… he is leaving but Gigante grabs him and throws him back into the ring! Here comes the One Man Gang and Gary Hart! Hart lets him loose and Gang gets in to attack Gigante… he hammers on his back and breaks him down… but El Gigante fights back… he throws some big right hands… ugly… but big right hands! Gigante “clotheslines” Gang out of the ring. Tully then with a couple of shots… but Gigante turns around and grabs him for a claw and puts him down! The crowd… well they don’t love it… but Gigante has got a little steam which is good. The first of our big three title matches… the tag titles are on the line in a 60-minute time limit contest and what a build. These two teams have been at one another for months. Tonight they go into the ring to settle the score. This one goes about 23-minutes and we get all the action. The Rockers with some slick speed and tag team maneuvers… the Road Warriors with double teaming and power personified. Ross and Jesse are on their game here tonight and they put this through the roof. In the final moments… we see the Road Warriors look to finish… Animal hoists up Shawn… Hawk goes to the top rope… Jannetty runs and dropkicks Hawk off the top rope to the floor! Animal can’t believe it… but then here comes Jannetty with a superkick on Animal and Shawn rolls through with a ugly but effective 1…2….3!!! THE ROCKERS HAVE WON THE WCW TAG TITLES! They have climbed to the top of the mountain! The fans explode as Marty and Shawn hold up the titles and they are once again the top tag team in the world. Hawk and Animal look on and don’t look happy but they nod their heads… show the respect… what a moment for the Rockers. Our next contest - 30-minutes for the United States Championship and here comes Flyin Brian and he’s got his buddy, Sting with him for backup and support. Nikita comes out with Ivan and they work the crowd. This one goes about 18-minutes and Pillman keeps us on the brink the entire time. He flies around the ring. Nikita shows off the serious power and hits a couple of moves that look like they kill Pillman. Sting then starts to kick it in gear outside the ring and the crowd is behind him. Wait a moment… Ivan Koloff is shown signaling to the back… here comes Gary Hart with the Samoans… they bring out a cage? It’s a shark cage and inside is Zeus… they open up the door and Zeus goes towards Sting… they hammer him down from behind… they lock Sting in the cage… inside… Ivan Koloff helps Nikita and it is almost a 2 on 1 against Pillman… then we hear a siren and the lights flicker… OMG! IT’S ROBOCOP! Robocop is here! Gary Hart… now in control of Zeus? And the Samoans are backing up and Robocop rips the back side off the cage and Sting is free. Zeus comes up to Robocop and swings but Robocop blocks it and then punches him in the chest and he goes backwards! Sting welcomes them on but Zeus is being held back! They walk him into the shadows and this isn’t pretty! Robocop “chases” them to the back. Sting is back over and cheering on Flyin Brian who is mounting the comeback of all comebacks… he nails some big shots and then looks to finish with something big… he is on the apron… he hoists himself up on the top rope and leaps but Nikita leaps at him with a Russian Sickle that just looks DISGUSTING! Pillman is down and OUT! 1….2…..3! Nikita retains the title… Pillman is a heap in the ring… Sting stands there… looking like Rocky over Apollo… Drago, I mean Nikita stands tall and tells Sting he’s next! This all leads us to our main event… Mike McGuirk makes the announcements of the two champions… this is a no-time limit contest - no disqualifications - no count outs - there MUST BE A WINNER! This is news to everyone as Ross and Ventura are shocked but put it over in a huge way! We then see the entrances of the two men… Muta in white… looking as mysterious and spectacular as he can. Paul E is dressed to the dimes tonight and he works the fans into a frenzy. Luger comes out in lime green tights and he looks like he was chiseled out of stone. WCW World Championship & International Championship Unification bout… LEx Luger versus The Great Muta w/ Paul E Dangerously. Luger brought his working boots tonight… 35-minutes these two put it all together. The paint is wiped away from Muta’s face when all is said and done. He goes to work on the neck and shoulders of Luger and tries tow ear him down. Luger works the back and both men leave it all in the ring. We get a couple of spectacular spots from Muta, one being a suicide dive through the ropes to the floor that sends Lex flying into the guardrail and busts him wide open! The referee continues to check Luger and this is a nasty cut. Paul E continues to try and get involved but then the crowd explodes when STING and RICKY STEAMBOAT come out… once again… Steamboat grabs Paul E from behind and carts him off to the back. That spells the beginning of the end…or does it… Muta gets control and nails some seriously nasty kicks. Muta then runs for a shining wizard but Luger catches him and they go over the top rope to the floor but Muta’s back nails the apron! Sting is cheering on Luger and getting the crowd going for him! Muta is nursing the back… Luger picks him up for a bodyslam and he nails him against the ringpost! Muta’s back is a wreck right now and Luger is looking to finish… Luger tosses Muta back in the ring and Lex is going for broke with some heavy shots… but out of nowhere… Muta with a nasty kick right to Luger’s jaw and he goes down like a box of rocks! Muta may have just knocked Luger out with that shot! The referee is watching as both men get up to their feet… Muta runs and hits another shining wizard and Luger goes back into the turnbuckle and crumbles down… Muta is now looking to finish… he goes to the ropes… he is setting up for the moonsault… he goes up but Luger is getting to his feet… Muta leaps but LUGER CATCHES HIM! Luger hoists Muta up… and he’s got him in the TORTURE RACK! Muta’s back is a wreck! The crowd is going nuts… the referee watches and then Muta shakes his head! LUGER HAS WON IT! LUGER HAS WON IT! Ross and Ventura put over Luger… regaining or retaining the WCW World Title… Ross gets word that it will go down as retaining but now he’s the UNDISPUTED WCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! Sting is down there in the ring… he hands Luger the belt and the crowd is going wild! Ross and Ventura sign us off on this historic PPV… we’ll see you next week!

That really sucks - feels personal since I am the one with the pick - then according to the same sources who say he debuted in 1989, cagematch and wrestlingdata, he should be on the 1992 list. With that - 1st pick in the draft is on the trade block.
-
For what it is worth, In my case - as the person who has the number one pick... this would be the 2nd time in which Rey Jr was possibly up for grabs that he was taken out and thus I would presumably lose out on the opportunity to grab him and have rights to him. (I had the number 2 pick in 1989 in which Steve Austin was going number 1 without question - I then moved that pick in due part to his removal. I think I've proven my ability to keep with realism - outside of El Gigante/Giant Gonzalez wrestling Andre the Giant @ SummerSlam 1989 - But if I were to have the rights to him - I can promise he wouldn't be in the main event right away, and I have shown the ability to play the long game. I know I've made moves to get in this position and it would suck to have him taken away again. Additionally, we're a fantasy wrestling game - PWI is the roadmap for all the greatness that is to fantasy wrestling - with Rey being most improved in 1991 - he was on the map, clearly, and that should be its own merit. I’d be open to discussing the nuances of our approach to realism if this is the boundary we’re setting, if my case for his development isn't seen as realistic.

Can we get a ruling on Rey Jr?

World Championship Wrestling - We see footage of JJ Dillon arriving to the arena today and he gets out of his towncar and he has got… none other than RICKY THE DRAGON STEAMBOAT WITH HIM! Steamboat goes over and shakes the hands of the crowd. The fans are going wild for this huge development! Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura bring us in and put over a huge night of action. They can’t believe that Ricky Steamboat is here and wonder just what his plan is…. JR thinks he’s teaming up with JJ Dillon but Jesse says that he knows JJ too well and doesn’t think he will saddle with him. We’ll see how that shakes off. Adam Bomb comes out and almost kills Lt. James Earl. The Samoans are out here with Gary Hart and they hit a double superkick on some poor turd and he looks to have broken his jaw. We get a good promo from the Rockers who put over their big challenge for the World Tag Team Titles at the Capital Combat. The Road Warriors come out and we get a face off… but then we find out that next week they are going to team up in an eight-man tag against The Samoans, One Man Gang, & Abdullah! Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan gets a handicap match win. He holds up the US title and says he’s coming for Luger! Tatanka w/ Wahoo gets a nice win… he continues to say he wants tocome back and challenge Nikita! We hear we’ll get a tag team match with the four of them next week! Lex Luger comes out to a great ovation - he puts over the world title situation and says that even though Muta got his hand raised… he didn’t beat him. Luger says he has got one goal on his mind and that is to end Muta once and for all. He offers him to put up the International Championship as well and we unify both titles! Paul E comes out… with Chono and Sasuke… they threaten Luger but Lex says he isn’t scared of them… here comes Davey Boy and Owen… oh my… Paul E has to back up… Owen & Davey Boy with a good win after that issue… lines are being drawn in the sand here in WCW! Savio Vega gets a win with his buddies outside the ring. JJ Dillon comes out and he welcomes out his special guest… former WCW Champion, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat! Steamboat comes out and he works the fans but it doesn’t last long because out comes Tully Blanchard! Tully gets right in Steamboat’s face… Tully: So you’re the big surprise huh? Well I am not surprised… to be honest Steamboat I am wondering how you can even show your face around here!? I mean… you are one of the most disgraced wrestlers in the history of WCW and you come out here to some fanfare like you’ve done something… you couldn’t event lace my boots! To be 100% honest with you… this makes me a little happy because I know you’re not here to wrestle me because your career would be over in a heartbeat if you were… Steamboat: Well Tully… I don’t agree with very much of anything that comes out of your mouth… but you are right… I am not here to wrestle you… I am here to watch some of the great WCW action with guys like Lex Luger… Sting… Flyin Brian… the Z-Man… and others… in fact… I am the one who called JJ to see if I could come to the show… he said I will be a special guest at Capital Combat… Tully: Well who in the hell do you got to come out here then… JJ Dillon: Turn around and look… up! Tully turns around and OMG… HE’S 7 FEET 7 INCHES TALL! From Argentina… EL GIGANTE! We have heard about rumors of this man… Tully sells it like crazy as he bumps into Steamboat who turns him around and chops him a couple of times before throwing him into Gigante who throws one of the worst punches of all time and barely hits Tully but he sells it! The crowd is going wild for El Gigante and Steamboat who shake hands and work the fans! We get Jesse and JR putting this over in the biggest way… El Gigante… 7’7”! Tully is going to have his hands full. They announce that next week we’ll see Tatanka and Wahoo taking on the Koloffs… the Road Warriors & Rockers take on Gary Hart’s Army… plus the final touches on the Capital Combat card… let’s take a look…. Luger vs Muta for the now UNIFIED World Title… Nikita defends the US title against Flyin Brian with Sting in his corner and Robocop will be here… the Tag Titles on the line when the Road Warriors defend against the Rockers… the Nasty Boys take on the Skyscrapers… Davey Boy and Owen take on Chono & Sasuke… plus the Diamond Studd Scott Hall gets his shot at the TV Title… but is it going to be the Z-Man or Mike Rotundo… let’s find out! TV Title - Zenk vs Rotundo w/ Sullivan ends up being a very mechanical contest… two men are good workers and get the crowd going. Zenk looks like he’s coming into his own but Rotundo and Sullivan have got their Varsity Club vibes running here. These two go around 12-minutes and give it everything they’ve got out there. The finish sees Rotundo try to finish… a couple of big shots and then he goes for a big fireman’s carry but Zenk with the roll through and the crucifix for the 3-count out of nowhere! Zenk retains the title and rolls out of the ring before Sullivan caan come in and try to get him… Johnny Ace is out there as “backup.” Zenk is still the champion but now it sounds like he’s got a Diamond Studd problem to deal with in the near future!

The Hulk Hogan formula of beat down until you don’t think he can make it anymore and then he makes the big challenge is alive and well and I am 100% for it with Stan Hansen. No doubt in my mind that at this era these two would have sold out any arena they went to Thanks to both of them not just the orange goblin. I am so happy that Haugen has found a home in the AWA but more importantly that you’ve been able to use them the right way and build the rest of the company around him and now with our good friend Ric Flair waiting in the wings there’s no telling what could happen and how the AWA could completely change in an instant.

WCW Top 10 is currently in shambles… JJ Dillon announces that there will be an announcement on the World Title tonight! We then get a fun little video package of some of the heels calling out Sting and the $40,000 bounty… We see Gary Hart with the Samoans…. Abdullah and Gang! Sherri has got the Skyscrapers and Zeus. Nikita and Ivan say they are the ones who hurt Sting in the first place and now their going to finish the job! We then see a special video of a briefcase… and it opens… but it has a sign… the bounty has been raised to $50,000! Flyin Brian with a good win. The Nasty Boys look good and even cut a promo on the Skyscrapers… these two teams are headed for a Clash at the Capital Combat! TV Title on the line in the Main Event when the Z-Man defeats Savio Vega! The final segment shows Sting slamming the briefcase shut… he puts over the bounty but says no amount of money is going to keep him down… then we hear the footsteps… Sting looks over and smiles… as the screen fades we see Sting shaking hands with Robocop! World Championship Wrestling - Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura bring us in for a huge night… we’ve got a lot of the table… let’s go to the ring… Davey Boy Smith with a big win over Castillo! JJ Dillon comes out to announce the World Title situation, but Tully Blanchard comes out, and he gives JJ the business! Tully is poking him in the chest… but then JJ fires back… he says that he’s tired of Blanchard… he is bringing his guest in next week and he’s going to deal with Blanchard once and for all! Michael Rotundo with a nice win… he and Sullivan put over the TVT title and say they want to challenge Zenk next week! We get a special video package and then out comes… ADAM BOMB! This guy is jacked to the gills… he’s got a good look… he looks to almost rip the head off of his opponent… now a SPINNINGPOWERBOMB! He calls that the A-BOMB! His opponent lands on his back in a bad way… that wasn’t good… Adam Bomb is here. The Samoans get a nice little with… Gary Hart… back from Japan… he says they are due for some gold and the Road Warriors are hiding! Nikita Koloff comes out with Ivan and they put over the US title and how he’s the rightful number one contender… this brings out Brian Pillman who says that he can’t wait to challenge Nikita at Capital Combat… Ivan tries to grab Pillman but Flyin Brian sneaks loose and he nails Ivan and then headbutts Nikita and draws some blood! Nikita is wiping the blood from his face! The fans are going wild! We get the Rockers in a tag team match… but then the Samoans run out… and here comes Abdullah and Gang! It is a 4 on 2 beatdown but here come the Road Warriors to even the odds. We find out that the Rockers and Road Warriors will face at Capital Combat… but they may not make it with Gary Hart’s men on the hunt! Crush gets a good win… he looks great as a big man babyface. We get another shot at the World Title issue… here comes JJ Dillon but he is interrupted by Paul E who walks out with Muta, but he’s not alone… here’s Scott Norton, Chono, and Kensuke Sasaki. They flank Muta who is holding the International Championship. We see footage of the end of the Luger/Muta match from Japan. Paul E is making the biggest stink about Muta being the champion but Dillon won’t say boo… we then hear that at Capital Combat the title will be up for grabs with Muta taking on Lex Luger. The title is currently held up… the winner will be the undisputed WCW World Champion! Paul E spits on the ground by Dillon and Muta does the slit throat gimmick… we’ll see these guys later. The Diamond Studd with a big win… he is on the hunt for the TV Title! The Skyscrapers and Sherri w/ Zeus get a big win… Nash… well he’s not in the ring too much but he looks good… Spivey seems to get upset… not sure if this one is working out! MAIN EVENT time… Owen Hart & The Z-Man take on Chono & Muta in tag team action… soon we see Norton and Sasuke come out with Paul E and this one is about to break out… but here comes Davey Boy to even up the odds a little… the finish sees Owen eat the MYST from Muta before going out of the ring and Norton powerslaming him on the concrete leading to the 10-count but here comes Bulldog and Scott Norton going toe to toe and these boys are letting em fly! Zenk is now out there with Chono and Sasuke… Muta is looking on but here comes Lex Luger out of the back and the crowd explodes! The Total Package comes in the ring and nails Muta with a couple of big clotheslines and then he presses him up and tosses him over the top rope onto Chono, Sasuke, and Norton! The crowd is going nuts! Davey, Owen, and Zenk get back in the ring… the babyfaces reign supreme here tonight on this huge show…

I suppose now would be a good time to announce that WCW has traded the 3rd pick to pcw as part of a trade also, AWA has traded its 1st overall pick to WCW as part of a previous deal

Both men gave it their all during the contest! Abdullah the Butcher and The One Man Gang almost caused a riot as they went after fans after their match! They may be banned from the country! WCW Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors defeated Masa Chono & Scott Norton. This one was one of the most physical matches he’s ever seen. In a match full of controversy… Muta looks to have defeated Lex Luger for the WCW championship…Lex Luger hoisted Muta up for the Torture Rack… but when he turned around Muta’s leg kicked the referee, a WCW official, and knocked him out. Luger went to check on the referee but Muta came out of nowhere with the MYST and then hit a SHINING WIZARD! The second referee, a Japanese referee, came in the ring and made the count and Muta looks to have won the title! We hope to have more on this situation next week! TV TITLE REMATCH - The Z-Man vs Rick Martel - A whale of a contest here… the World Title controversy is the topic on the table but in the ring, Zenk and Martel go for broke for their 15-minutes and they use all of it. The finish, at the final moments… Zenk goes for a high cross body but Martel rolls through… shows his strength… hits a big body slam and then goes for the Boston Crab but Zenk rolls his legs through and Martel goes flying. Martel runs at Zenk in the corner but The Z-Man with a leap frog… Martel nails the turnbuckle… Zenk with a dropkick to the back and Martel hits the turnbuckle again… Zenk then grabs him for a German Suplex and the 1….2….3!! The Z-Man with a big win… Martel gave it everything he’s got… the crowd is going wild… we’ve got a lot of stuff going on with the World Title and the Japanese show… May is upond us!

The Ultimate Warrior defeats Nailz w/"The Doctor of Style" Slick after SLick accidentally hits Nailz with his cane. After the bell, Slick cracked Warrior across the back with his cane but it had no effect and Warrior got Slick in a military press and bench pressed him a few times before dumping him onto Nailz outside the ring. I feel like this feud could have some serious legs... not great workrate but some fun stuff to build from... especially if Warrior broke out of a jail cell or something!

Z-Man goes for the flying dropkick but Martel moves… he goes for the Boston Crab but Z-Man pushes his legs through and Martel goes flying into the turnbuckle… Time is running out… Zenk grabs Martel for a backslide and the 1…2……3!!!! The bell rings at the same time… We’re running out of television time… fans we gotta go… World Championship Wrestling - Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura bring us right into action and we see footage from the match earlier today on Power Hour… Main Event: The Z-Man took on Rick Martel for the television championship. Martel - with a heavy bandage on his head and bruised eye… looks rough. Martel still looks good in the ring… Brother Love has got his blood stained coat on… Zenk seems to be going for broke on every move. These guys go 12-minutes and then the final three look like Martel is going try and run out the clock! Z-Man goes for the flying dropkick but Martel moves… he goes for the Boston Crab but Z-Man pushes his legs through and Martel goes flying into the turnbuckle… Time is running out… Zenk grabs Martel for a backslide and the 1…2……3!!!! The bell rings at the same time… We’re running out of television time… fans we gotta go… The referee is conversing with Mike McGuirk… Brother Love grabs the television title… the referee tells McGurik the ruling… and she announces… AND NEW TELEVISION CHAMPION! The Z-Man! Zenk dropkicks Brother Love into Martel and then he grabs the television title! Owen, Davey, and Pillman all come out to celebrate with him. We’re back with Jesse and Jim Ross putting over the new television champion but he’s going to have to defend his title next week right here on World Championship Wrestling. We find out that next week, WCW superstars will be in Japan for a huge supershow on Friday night and it is headlined by Lex Luger taking on The Great Muta for the WCW Championship, The Road Warriors will also defend the WCW Tag Team Championship against the team of Scott Norton and Masa Chono! Owen Hart will also be in action on the huge Japanese card. Next week though, Sting will be here in the arena and he’s going to address the $40,000 bounty. Let’s head to the ring! Michael Rotundo w/ Kevin Sullivan in the full on Varsity Gear Garb does some decent work. We hear Rotundo say he is going to be the first in line to take on the Z-Man for the US title! The Nasty Boys beat a couple of bums but it soon turns exciting when the Skyscrapers show up with Sherri and Zeus and they are challenging the Nasties to a fight next week! We get a promo from JJ Dillon who makes it clear that he will not step into the ring with Tully Blanchard… Tully says he can pick anyone in WCW… anyone on Turner’s contract… hell he could get David Justice from the Braves if he wanted… JJ then stops him and begs the question… anyone under the Turner umbrella… Tully laughs and agrees and JJ smiles… what’s he up to… Looks like Gary Hart has secured the services of the One Man Gang to go along with Abdullah the Butcher and these two guys are nuts! As a tag team… I don’t know who could stand toe to toe with them. Crush comes out and works the crowd… he’s getting a following. The Road Warriors come out to talk about their issue in Japan next week with Chono and Norton… but then the Rockers come out and Marty and Shawn say… if they come back to the USA with the titles… then at Capital Combat… they want to challenge for the belts! The Roadies shake their hands and agree… Nikita Koloff rips some poor schmucks face off with a clothesline and he then cuts a promo with Ivan Koloff saying that he isn’t the one who put the bounty out on Sting but he will be the one to cash it in! Flyin Brian, Owen Hart, & Davey Boy get a nice six-man win. We get a promo from Sting and Lex Luger… Sting says he is going to send all the positive vibes he can to Japan and can’t wait to see Luger come back with the title. Luger says he knows it’s going to be a hostile environment but he is going to show Muta why he’s the one true world champion of professional wrestling and he is the complete TOTAL PACKAGE! Main Event Time… The Diamond Studd gets the showcase tonight against The JYD… Jesse puts Studd through the roof and just really makes him seem like the next big thing. Speaking of big things… Hall ends up using a low blow to put JYD down rather than the Death Drop… I wonder if the JYD is wanting to do business… either way the Studd looks like a stud and next week is going to be a big week for WCW as we prepare for Japan and then Capital Combat!

I am sorry I have missed out on so much AWA - I mean shit... Flair... Anderson and Larry Z - Hogan... the Anvil is killing it... you've got all the right pieces to be at the top tier of this world of wrestling right now and you're putting them in the right spots. Austin Idol and Ric Flair is something I wouldn't mind seeing more of... hey don't forget about Hansen and Taylor who've had some good runs. I don't know... there is something from top to bottom in the AWA and I am digging it. I am sorry I am not better about posting my pleasure in reading it!

I sincerely appreciate your feedback - just wanted to make sure you saw I had a TV posted there as well before the Omni show. Had a couple of little nuggets to build from. You keep us going buddy - I appreciate it!

April - Atlanta, GA – Omni - Sunday, April 14 Superspecial house show from the Omni tonight… The Rockers defeated the Samoans w/ Gary Hart in a fast paced brawling match. The Rockers are very over right now. The Z-Man, Owen Hart, & Davey Boy Smith defeated Vega & The Boricuas in a six-man Nasty Boys vs The Skyscrapers went to a no contest/double DQ. They tore the ringside area apart. Abdullah the Butcher defeated Big Josh The JYD defeated the OMG via Count Out The Road Warriors defeated Power & Glory in a title for title match via count out. P&G tried to leave the arena but the Rockers caught them and threw them back in the ring for a 4 on 2 beatdown! Mike Rotundo w/ Kevin Sullivan defeated Johnny Ace - woof Nikita Koloff & The Great Muta defeated Flyin Brian and Lex Luger in a helluva tag team match. Sting is at ringside and he’s attacked… it is the Samoans with Gary Hart… Ivan Koloff is orchestrating everything… Sting is carted out… this causes a distraction for Muta to MYST Luger… then Nikita with a sickle to the back of Pillman’s neck and he goes down… Nikita covers for the 3-count… pure chaos in the Omni right now… *Mike McGuirk announces that the final match of the night will be a last man standing match and she runs through the rules that it is no count out - no disqualifiication - the man who fails to reach the 10-count loses the match! Ron Garvin vs Rick Martel - LAST MAN STANDING ends up being one of those hidden gems that has got a lot of good stuff… number one… it is the last big time meaningful match for Ron Garvin in WCW and he lays everything out. He is a bloodied mess when all is said and done. Martel juices hard and he gives the performance of a lifetime in a brawl that many people think he has no chance at winning. Brother Love even gets involved and when all is said and done he’s got Martel’s blood all over his white suit - an amazing visual. We have a couple of close calls but then we see Garvin make one last effort as he rises to his feet at the 9-count and then he brings the fury. The finish sees Ron Garvin with a couple of huge shots and then he comes off the top rope with a shot that knocks Martel out and he is down on the mat. The referee counts to 10 for both men and like Rocky 2 - Ron Garvin makes his way to his feet and gets the win. No title on the line… but damn what a brawl!

He and Bulldog have some promo time and say they aren’t here for the money, but they’re going to back up Sting if he needs it. Promo from Ron Garvin… we see him taping his fists for the fight tomorrow night… it’s going to be lights out… don’t make it to 10-count you're done… and Rick Martel… he’s going to ruin those model-like good looks… Savio Vega, with some help from his Boricuas wins a nice singles match… he’s still here. The Road Warriors cut a promo on taking on Power & Glory tomorrow night for the WCW tag titles. We hear that they are going to take them down but they have unfinished business with the Rockers. Shawn and Marty with a good victory tonight… they assure that the Road Warriors are next on their path Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan rips some punk’s head off… he holds up the US title and says that he will be coming for the World Title! Lex Luger cuts a nice promo on the World Title situation… he says he takes on Muta in Japan in just a couple of weeks. He knows that Japan is going to be hostile and Muta will be favored but he wants to show the fans that he is a true world’s champion! Sting walks out with his buddies Flyin Brian and the Z-Man! The-Zman and Flyin Brian vs The Great Muta & Masa Chono w/ Paul E ends up being a very good tag team match for TV. Chono is not new to WCW but maybe to this crowd… he is polished and looks the part… Muta is over like rover… Z-Man does some good work but Flyin Brian is the star of the show. We get about 9-minutes of action with these guys busting their ass. Sting is pumping things up but then we see all hell break loose with someone walking out from the back… that’s Scott Flash Norton! Norton comes up from behind Sting and grabs him for a FULL NELSON! Chono comes down and he is about to kick Sting but Flyin Brian jumps through the ropes and hits a dive on Chono! He’s with Sherri and the Skyscrapers… they are coming towards the ring… Sting is grasping his knee… out of nowhere… Lex Luger runs out of the back, and he’s got a chair! Luger is standing in front of Sting… Zeus is being held back! Fans we’ll be live in the Omnni tomorrow night!
