So much movement in the AWA. The War Games definitely set the bar pretty high for the gang warfare in Dawn of War. The key for these types of matches are to give shine to everyone ad you did good stuff there. Tommy Rich gets what's coming to him and rightfully so. His run on top has been a standard (once again) for us to try and match. Don't sleep on Bad News being the man either... he is without question the toughest guy on the block and he can go with anyone in the ring.

The NWA continues to do work. I am a fan of Hansen and the US title and how he will be next in line to go against Flair. Rhodes and Flair vs the Andersons... what a match that could be... and then the turn of Flair rejoining... lol... and Buddy Landel as the 4th... I am booking this myself in my head. I want to see the Manny and Hansen blow up in a one on one and they could tear the entire arena apart.
-
I was excited to see the standings. My girl Lisa is on top for good reason. I hope 88 is great for her.
-
You went right to the well with Tully and Wahoo... it will never dry with these two and their hatred for one another. JYD with a patriotic win... always a great piece to a wrestling puzzle. Then we've got some big time tough man brawls with Williams and Nikita along with Rick and Gordy. I will take those match ups any day of the week. Give me the hoss' and brawls all the time.
-
Great start and great finish to the 9/11 show... its a great way to start and cap an event. I love 2/3 falls... always fun to see how to book these out.

Spivey & Hall defeated Bob Bradley & Chris Smith Chris Youngblood vs Dutch Mantell Good showcase for this feud with Dutch going dirty to get the victory Bam Bam Bigelow vs The Barbarian Huge main event with both men getting some shine This one gets out of hand early but the referee is just being lax Barb gives Bam Bam all he can handle but Bigelow is on a run right now unmatched in this sport The finish sees Bigelow catch Barb off the top rope and counter him into a powerslam that shakes the ring! Bammer gets the 3-count and by golly he is ready for Harley Race! Chris Adams and Jake Roberts promo on Savage and Garvin. Next week - right in that ring - everything is on the line. Only one team will walk out and one team is going to fall. Roberts and Adams say they are too focused to fall. The Rockers come out and they get some nice boos from the crowd. They rundown the Rock N Roll Express and talk about how Ricky and Robert are in for a Rude Awakening when it comes to the Rockers! Savage & Garvin promo on Adams and Roberts and talk about next week’s big tag match. Both Garvin and Savage talk about not only winning the match but putting an end to the careers of both men. Garvin takes a stab at saying Precious is the premiere valet in wrestling but then Savage says Elizabeth is… well… we’ll see. Bam Bam promo on the Untouchables and he puts over how on September the 9th in Lockport under the lights… it is an Elimination match… Bam Bam has got Spivey and Hall behind him… Race is gonna have the Barbarian and Reed… it could end up 3 on 1… but Bigelow knows he is going to Survive! Abdullah w/ Akbar defeated Fred Simpson and Geoffrey Pickens Savage and Garvin vs Jake & Adams Huge Main Event for television and these guys put an end to all of their issues inside the ring Everyone gets a chance to shine but Chris Adams may be shining the brightest right now Savage is making his claim to be the top guy and he gives everyone more than they can handle Jimmy is more concerned with Precious than anything which ends up being an issue Jake doesn’t look to be too impressed with everything The finish is hot… we see Garvin holding Roberts… Savage runs for a high knee but Roberts moves and Garvin goes flying off the apron and lands on Elizabeth! Adams runs over to check on her Precious is checking on Jimmy Savage can’t believe what happened but Jake turns him around for a DDT but Savage rolls through and small package for the 3-count! Jake immediately jumps out of the ring and goes to the back Savage goes out to check on Elizabeth and gets right in Adams’ face Adam’s says it was Garvin who hit her Now Savage looks for Garvin who is walking to the back like nothing happened. Here comes the paramedics for Liz… oh my… We’ll see you under the lights on Friday September the 9th!

Windy City Pro Wrestling Presents: Danger Zone Live from the Civic Center in Des Moines, Iowa Craig DeGeorge & Billy Robinson are ringside calling the action Mike McGuirk is in the ring announcing Let’s go to the ring! Koko B Ware vs The Conquistador Good opener Koko is getting hot again here and he’s got the fans behind him He works the fans while giving the Conquistador more than he can handle The finish sees Koko come off the top with a huge dropkick to the mush and then the 3-count! The Renegade Warriors vs The Kansas Jayhawks The first time meeting of these two There is definitely a racist vibe here with the Jayhawks and the Renegade Warriors Dutch and Jaggers are great heels and work the fans so that the Warriors can build back up and get some shine We see a lot of quick tags and cheap shots from the Jayhawks The Warriors get a big hope spot and here comes Mark like a house of fire The referee missed the tag though and now Dutch with something in his hand just WHALES Chris in the mouth Jaggers covers him for the 3-count and the Jayhawks win a controversial one tonight. Robert Gibson w/ Ricky Morton vs Marty Jannetty w/ Shawn Michaels It can be seen that both Morton and Michaels are carrying some injuries Inside the ring we see Gibson and Jannetty go for 16-solid minutes of great work We see Ricky and Shawn both get involved here and there It then blows up when Ricky comes over to stop Shawn from hitting Gibson but now they are going at it The crowd is rocking… pun intended as we see Jannetty come out of the ring and join the fight Robert Gibson and Jannetty start throwing some bombs and then go back inside The referee tries to break them up and gets in Gibson’s way only for Jannetty to come out of nowhere with a big SUPERKICK and then the 3-count! The Rockers found the upper hand and have put another W in the win column. The Rock N Roll certainly won’t wait around for something like this to happen again. Jake Roberts vs Jim Garvin w Precious Big time contest here with two of the premiere athletes in Windy City Jake Roberts is without question one of the hottest rising stars right now. Garvin is an oozing hot heel and Precious is making him all the better These guys go another 15-minutes and work the fans Jake sells like his life is gasping for each individual breath Garvin is a low down dirty scoundrel who pokes the eyes and takes the shortcuts We get into the final moments when we see Garvin going for the hot shot suplex but Jake jumps over the back and then goes into a frenzy A couple of huge short left jabs and then a short arm clothesline! Jake runs for a big knee lift and then he makes the sign for the DDT! Now Precious is up on the apron… what in the hell is she doing? The referee has turned his attention… Garvin drops down and LOW BLOW! Jake is hurt and now Garvin picks him up for the HOT SHOT SUPLEX and the 3-count! Garvin is working the fans and spraying the perfume all over the place. Jake is slow to his feet… Garvin continues to strut… Wait a moment… Jake is up… he turns Garvin around and DDT! Jake got the last laugh and Garvin is laid out cold in the middle of the ring! We then see Steadfast Scott Casey out with Joe Pedicino…Joe is putting over how Casey has been on a huge rise as of late. The problem is that it brings out Khan and Kabuki. Casey rips his shirt off and is ready to throw down but Kabuki and Khan attack. They are wearing down Scott here until out of the back comes Wild Bill Irwin! He has got his bullrope and he is whipping and slapping Kabuki and Khan out of the way! Irwin and Casey wear these two guys out and send them packing! The crowd pops… Irwin and Casey shake hands… could this be something big on the horizon? Chris Adams vs Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth This one one that a lot of people have been waiting for We get some nice entrances from both men Elizabeth looks amazing at ringside… she has a sense of grace that Precious doesn’t seem to have These two have a knock down 25-minute brawl with a little bit of everything We get some Macho Man Memphis Stalling… We get some brawling outside the ring and even into the fans We get to see Chris Adams fly around the ring with some huge strikes and moves to get the fans to their feet We see Randy Savage hit a huge double ax-handle smash from the top rope on Adams who is outside the ring In the waning moments… Savage ones again goes for the double ax handle inside the ring off the top rope but Chris Adams catches him with a superkick that knocks him smack dab out! The crowd explodes for the spot and Adams with the cover for the 1…..2…..3! Adams has defeated Savage but something tells me this one may be far from over The spot at the end brought the fans to their feet and Adams walks away with a lot of momentum while Savage walks away with his Elizabeth and some respect from the fans! Mike McGuirk comes out to announce that Dick Murdoch will not be here to challenge Butch Reed tonight. This brings out Reed and Jones who work the fans and talk about Tricky Dick running off into the sunset to stop from getting his ass whooped. Reed then says he is going to challenge anyone… from anywhere… right here… right now. We then hear a stir coming… wait a moment… from the aisleway… Joe Pedicino announces… here comes Mr. Wrestling II! Butch Reed is yelling no no no…. He and Wrestling II have a long history dating back to the Mid South days… GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP Mr. Wrestling II vs Butch Reed Wrestling II jumps right in the ring and nails some big rights and lefts and he has got Reed rocking already! Paul Jones tries to get involved but Wrestling II nails him with the patented running knee lift and he goes flying! Reed gets back in the ring and he’s trying to get things going but the surprise of Wrestling II was more than he could handle right now The bell has rung and we’re underway with this one II continues to be on the offensive but then things slow down when Reed hits a nasty headbutt into the groin of II. Reed slows down the action with some big time power and Wrestling II is now looking (old) and outmatched This one is only about 8-minutes long but gives the fans a little pep in their step The finish is a fun one with Reed going for the shoulder block but Wrestling II diving out of the way II comes with some nice rights and lefts and backs up Reed into the corner before nailing a nice hip toss! Wrestling II is coming for the running knee lift but Reed comes out of nowhere with a lariat that takes Wrestling II’s head off. A sickening thud as Wrestling II hits the ground… Reed covers for the 3-count. I hope that Pedicino paid him well because Wrestling II does not look healthy getting out of the ring right now. MAIN EVENT Bam Bam Bigelow, Dan Spivey, & Scott Hall vs Harley Race, Bob Orton, & Dick Slater BIG TIME MAIN EVENT It is the rising stars of Windy City taking on the Grizzled Veterans who have something left in the tank Age vs Experience here… and the experience is what tells the tale. Slater doesn’t seem to think he’s older than the guys on the other side of the ring and he lays in some huge shots Spivey and Hall seem to be working on the same page and hit some really nice tag team moves Harley Race sets the stage for his psychological work and does everything can to slow things down Then we see Bam Bam come in… like a wrecking ball on fire… the crowd is going absolutely nuts for him right now Bammer with some huge shots and now he is rocking on everyone The Young Guns come with some big shots and now we’ve got all six-men in there and they splatter outside the ring In the shadows… we see Barbarian and Reed coming out Reed and Barb are able to take Spivey and Hall out of the contest while it is 3 on 1 on Bam Bam It is 5 on 3 and nothing to be done but Bam Bam doesn’t seem to mind… he is bringing the fight every second The wild finish sees Spivey and Hall break free from Reed and Barb They jump back in the ring and get control of Race and Slater only for Orton to take on Bam Bam Orton looks like he is going to finish Bam Bam off with a superplex but Bam Bam headbutts him off the ropes and he goes down. Bigelow looks out to the crowd… oh my… MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP ROPE! 1….2….3!!! Bigelow, Spivey, and Hall all come away with a HUGE victory here tonight1 The crowd is going absolutely wild… Bigelow has made his claim…. He’s coming for the Windy City title and there is nothing Race can do about it!

Welcome back. Looking forward to the development of this roster.
-
I can see why the Anvil is so hard to touch... he is in a huge spot here and has a career outside of being the Hart's Rhino. Severn and Maeda... would have loved to see the pre-booking of that one and then how it actually went through. Pillman is as deserving of a champion as anyone... and Black Tiger has cemented his legacy here. Night two has some heavy shoes to fill after this.
-
MSW - Jumbo... an all timer... perhaps one of the best to ever do it is now one top but at what price... his buddy Dr. Death will find out. Again... love me a tournament and I am pulling for the Birds. We'll see if they can find a way to fly atop of the Mid South again.
-
I am such a mark for a tournament especially when there are some serious stakes on the line. You have done wonders with the Ragin Bull and he looks to be a guy who could come out of 1988 in a big way. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis w/"Sensational" Sherri Martel & "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel w/JJ Dillon defeat Bruiser Brody & NWA World Heavyweight Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. You now have a legitimate threat to Flair and someone who could take the title from him... not to mention two other feuds ready to be had. Tremendous job booking all of that from one match.

Rage in the cage is something to behold with some big time premiere contests headlined by Dibiase and Borne. These two have some history and are ready to tear each other apart. I like this six-man pairing as well... I feel like Rick Steiner fits better with Duggan and Hercules but no doubt tht Scott is right on the cusp of stardom. Luger...Muta... Vader... Murdoch... woof. I don't know who will walk away if anyone. I think Luger and Muta have super bright futures but Vader won't let it happen at his expense. -
Moretti with a victory and perhaps the title shot down the line. A lot of moving pieces here but not surprised to see the cream rise to the top. I think Medusa is in trouble.
-
That main event had a piece of everything that makes the AWA so prime right now. I've gushed about Tommy Rich so much but damn he's the man right now. The War Games looks awesome. Steamboat and Bad News... that's gonna be huge. The AWA is putting a capper on the summer in a big way!
-
Yeah - just a special appearance - one night only deal. Thanks!

Is Mr. Wrestling II available for a short stint with Windy City?

The Rockers put over their new attitude and issue with the Rock N Roll Express. These guys brawl before we see the Untouchables come out and then here comes Spivey, Hall, & Bam Bam for the save! The Rock N Roll Express come over after their match to let the fans know that the Rockers have stirred up a nest of hornets and it is time to get stung brother! Next week… Robert and Jannetty go one on one in Des Moines and Ricky will be right there to make sure Michaels stays in his place baby! Salty Scott Casey comes over and he cuts an interesting promo about how he is going to be the next Chicago Street Fight Champion. He says he has trained hard and earned his shot! Chris Adams & Jake Roberts cut a promo about next week in Des Moine and how they both get their hands on Savage and Garvin. They hope to put an end to everything and finish this issue once and for all! The Untouchables are out and they put over their issues with Bam Bam, Spivey, & Hall. They also add in Dick Murdoch to the mix after their beatdown of him tonight only to say that in Des Moine… it will be a six-man to get rid of Bam Bam, Spivey, and Hall along with a knock down war to get rid of Murdoch and control their own destiny.

The Nasty Boys are continuing their climb but can they get back to the promise land? Dick Murdoch vs The Moondog Tricky Dick Murdoch makes his return to Chicago with a nice showcase here The Moondog is able to get some offense in and generate a little bit of heat The headbutt spot that shows the Moondog has the superior head hardiness is a great one The head hardiness doesn’t stop a brainbuster and 3-count from Murdoch though! Dicky is here… one has to wonder what his motives will be. WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Orton & Slater vs the Rock N Roll Express Big time tag team contest here for the titles and the crowd is white hot This one is a 20-minute showdown with both teams showing their strengths Undeniably, the Rock N Roll Express are one of the top teams in the world right now and they showcase why Orton and Slater work so well together and are smooth in their double teaming and blind tags At about the 18-minute mark, we see a stir when the Rockers are shown walking down to the ring The black jeans, black leather coats, (no shirts of course), and dark sunglasses send off an interesting vibe. Around the same time it appears as though Slater and Orton are on the fall and the Rock N Roll are zeroing in on the tag titles We see Ricky and Robert hit a couple of huge double clotheslines and then double dropkicks sending Slater and Orton out of the ring to the floor Here is where it gets interesting… The Rockers are watching… The Rock N Roll express walk out to Slater and Orton and work on getting them back in the ring As they roll in… Paul Jones grabs the attention of the referee On the other side of the ring, the Rockers grab Morton and Gibson and throw them into the ring posts! They hit a double superkick on Robert Gibson and roll him in the ring to Slater and Orton Orton and Slater hit a big spike piledriver for the 3-count Outside the ring, Michaels and Jannetty just beat the living piss out of Ricky Morton and get some juice Morton is bleeding like a stuck pig as the Rockers walk off as cocky as ever The crowd is shocked right now…. Jake Roberts vs Conquistador Jake Roberts is out here to a great ovation He handles the conquistador with little to no issue The DDT spells the end and he works the fans We then see Savage and Garvin come out and they are circling the ring… Finally they pounce and Roberts is having to fight the two of them off at a time but it isn’t working. The crowd pops when Chris Adams come out and serves as backup Adams and Roberts are handling their own here They shake hands but then we see Savage come from behind and CLIP THE KNEE of Adams! Garvin with a nasty shot on Jake who goes out of the ring to the floor Savage then pulls Adams out of the ring and SLAMS his knee into the ringpost! This looks terrible as Savage and Garvin go to the back with a lot of heat right now Adams is in a bad way and he’s still got the title match tonight! GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP Koko Ware vs Butch Reed © Another good showing for Koko who just can’t seem to find his rhythm here in Windy City He gives Reed every single ounce of what he can handle but the Natural is just too much We see Paul Jones directing traffic out there and Reed is able to catch a high cross body from Koko and turn it into a nasty hot shot on the top rope! Koko is hurting as Reed goes up top for a big shoulder block and the 3-count! Reed has retained his Gateway Championship once again… who could be his next challenger? {We get set up for the big showdown with Bam Bam and Kamala… the crowd is stirring as Bam Bam is in the ring waiting… then we see Kamala walk out with Akbar… just then Paul Jones walks out… he hands something to Akbar and the crowd is wondering what’s going on… Akbar then pulls Kamala back… they go into the backstage as Jones is laughing and pointing at Bam Bam… wait just a second… from behind… THE BARBARIAN!!!} WINDY CITY STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Bam Bam Bigelow v The Barbarian w/ Paul Jones Barb attacks Bam Bam from behind and the crowd is going nuts Paul Jones goes on to announce that he bought the title shot for Barbarian! Bigelow is in a bad way as Jones grabs a trash can from the ringside area and gives it to Barb… he comes to nail Bigelow but Bam Bam kicks him in the gut! Bigelow grabs the trash can and CRACKS Barb right in the skull! The crowd is going wild as Bigelow throws him into the ring post! Bam Bam then looks at Jones and comes after him Barbarian comes back again and now he and Bigelow are throwing some major bombs in the aisleway! They are fighting towards the back and then… out of the shadows… its Reed, Slater, and Orton! They come out and it is a 4 on 1 on Bigelow They drag him back in the middle of the ring and hit a SPIKE PILEDRIVER! Reed picks him up and SHOULDER BREAKER! Barbarian goes up top… DIVING HEADBUTT! The referee… reluctantly…1……2……3! We have a NEW Windy City Street Fight Champion! {Jones and the Untouchables seemed to have added a new member and a new title. This is outrageous. The crowd is throwing some major debris at these guys as they soak it in and go to the back….} TEXAS TORNADO MATCH Scott Hall & Dan Spivey vs The Samoan Savages Well Akbar wasn’t able to buy his way out of this one tonight Hall and Spivey have got some serious firepower and with all four men in the ring it is all chaos The Savages have really always been on the brink and at one point it was thought they’d take the next step but tonight Hall and Spivey are stopping any momentum they have had These four brawl for about 13-minutes The Savages get some heat on Hall only for Spivey to come back in a big way The finish is pretty nasty… we see some big boots and clotheslines Then Tonga gets tossed into the turnbuckle… Spivey picks up Tama and hoists him up over his shoulders and runs to throw him over the top rope to the floor! Hall and Spivey double powerbomb Tonga for the huge spot 1…..2….3! Hall and Spivey are the winners and I don’t know if the Savages will be able to recover! WINDY CITY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Chris Adams vs Harley Race © It is time for the main event and boy o boy do we have one The crowd is solidly behind Adams and they are even doing a “Let’s Go UK” chant! If Harley Race had one more classic encounter in him… it was tonight He and Adams go 23-minutes and you can tell that Race is on his last legs Adams has the youth and experience to keep the match interesting and these all pros slow it down when it needs to and pick it up when they need to Race gets an elongated heat segment on the knee of Adams which was torn apart earlier by Savage The fans are just about to give out hope when Adams comes back with the passion of 1,000 fires. He is firing back with rights… lefts… and then a nasty back elbow! Adams is SO FIRED UP… he sets up and Race gets up and Adams with a SUPERKICK but Race ducks and nails a LARIAT! Both men go down and fight their way back up and Race with a running high knee! Race hits the ropes and comes with a nasty HIGH KNEE 1…..2….KICK OUT! Adams pulls it out one more time… Savage is coming out… wait a minute…. Race comves for a big lariat but Adams ducks and goes for a huge forearm but Race ducks and nails a nasty back suplex into a pin for the 1…2….3!!! A little controversy here… looks like Adams may have gotten his arm up The referee is consulting with Joe Pedicino and Mike McGuirk… Mike McGuirk then makes the announcement… the winner… and STILL Windy City Champion… Harley Race! The crowd isn’t happy as Adams gets up… wait a minute… Savage then nails Adams and throws him out of the ring to the floor! The crowd is going wild for Bam Bam who stands tall… perhaps busted up… definitely bruised… but not broken!

Anytime pop culture enters into the fantasy wrestling world... especially the office I am going to pop. Vader and Luger was always something I wanted to see... I felt like it was a great missed opportunity in the fortune of timing. I really appreciate the work going into getting this being your promotion and defining its own identity. Looking forward to the coming weeks. -
Anytime Rick Steiner can show his superior Steiner power... I am game. I am also big on Tully here... his success in the NWA was immeasurable and perhaps he can top those same heights here. Jake Brigance... interesting choice... love Time to Kill... it would be great to see it highlighted by Williams and Koloff.
-
You've got some of my faves here and you put them in good spots. Keep the Gang being the 100% baddest dude on the block. I love how the Harts are teaming with Pillman. We also get Hennig and Bock coming again... perhaps it is time for Hennig to shine on the brightest stage of them all.
-
NWA Tv... when anything can happen! Each match is moving someone up or something forward. Dundee steps back into the fold with a shot at the TV title next week. Big world title contender battle royal coming up. I think the thing that always intrigues me about your promotion is that there is a next step and you continue to move us in that direction.
-
As others have said... great card... Medusa is on top for just cause and I am hopeful to see her success continue. Misty with a good showing... Richter is still a force... Also... don't count out Velvet... I have a sneaking suspicion about her.
