I am glad Kirchner is getting a little love somewhere after his short turncoat cup of coffee in Windy City. I am just not a fan of Greg... he didn't have it for me... I hope he gets what is coming to him. I have a good run with Dick Slater in the 1981 game... I think he has a great upside right now in his career. He could be someone that might just turn some heads through 87.
-
NWA is coming hot and heavy... your continued dedication is a great piece of our universe. I like some of these young guys getting a little run here. I love the battle royal to title shot gimmick. Brickhouse gets a chance that he may not usually get. I am also excited to see Stan Hansen and how he fits in with everything. There's no doubt he would be a main event prime time player in our world and without question he'll make his mark soon.
-
The gorgeous ladies of... wait sorry... these women are wonderful! It is fun to see how things are working out for Richter. She is the face of the promotion in some ways and her credibility isn't tarnished but rather built her into a bigger star in some ways. Good to see that Misty Blue can come and work between takes on her side gig.
-
BOCK! He is here and by golly he has made his presence known. The eventual Barry v Bock match is going to be something to really get excited about. He has the credibility that is second to few and he can only raise the world around him. Pillman's loss hurt me... in my heart... I want to see him on top of the world but he has a lot of ground to gain!

WCPW Carnival Carnage! March 11 - Gurnee, Illinois - Civic Center The Rockers vs White Lightning and Black Thunder Good opener to get the crowd going Jannetty and Michaels are really in sync and they are putting on a show for the fans We get the double fist drop and the 3-count… sweet and simple… then they go to Joe Pedicino… {Pedicino and the Rockers put over the Gurnee crowd and then announce that in two weeks, in Orland Park, they will get a shot at the Windy City Tag Team Championship! The Rockers say it will be an honor to face the Dudes but they want the Nasty Boys to shut them up for good! Pedicino puts them over as we head to our next contest…} Chris Adams vs Buddy Landel A good 13-minute contest with two all pros here Adams has really gotten over with the fans while Landel still has some good heat but not much momentum We see Buddy work the leg and control the match He is trying to subdue the superkick but Adams continues to fight The finish is fun… Buddy goes for the Figure Four Leg Lock but Adams pushes him into the turnbuckle with his good leg Buddy Nails the turnbuckle only for Adams to nip up and then hit a huge SUPERKICK for the 3-count! {Adams works the crowd as Landel can’t seem to find his footing and falls on his way to the back. Joe Pedicino then spots Syracuse great Mike Rotundo in the crowd. Rotundo says he is here to enjoy Windy City Wrestling and he has got a meeting with the officials about possibly joining the promotion. The fans give him a little bit of love. Next out is Scott Steiner who looks ready for a fight!} Scott Steiner vs the Grappler Steiner and the Grappler have had some issues as of late and this is a good continuation of that feud Steiner is able to throw Grappler around and Scotty looks like he’s ready to suplex him out of the ring The big moment happens when Steiner nails a huge belly to belly and Grappler does go out of the ring to the floor. Grappler then sneaks under the ring and on the other side… another Grappler comes out! Grappler II sneaks up behind Steiner and starts to pound on him The crowd is booing up a storm and the referee isn’t sure what to make of it Grappler II looks like he has the upperhand but Steiner turns the tide! Steiner with some big rights and lefts and then throws him to the ropes and a TWILT A WHIRL SLAM! 1…..2…..GRAPPLER 1 is back in the ring and kicks Steiner for the DQ! The referee has lost control as both Grapplers are working over Scott Steiner now They toss Scott outside the ring and then RAM HIS ARM INTO THE RINGPOST! Scott goes down in pain… then the Grapplers DO IT AGAIN! Wait a second… out of the crowd… Mike Rotundo! Rotundo jumps in the ring and throws some big right hands to back up the Grapplers who retreat! Steiner looks to be in serious pain… Rotundo is checking on him with other officials… {Steiner is being helped to the back and needless to say this doesn’t look great. The area clears in time for the Soulman Rocky Johnson to come out to a nice ovation from the crowd. Then we see the Samoan Savages come out with fire sticks before Skandar Akbar leads the Mighty Kamala out to the ring…} Rocky Johnson vs Kamala w/ Skandar & The Samoan Savages The Soulman has got some nice pop and he brings the heat against the big man Kamala gives him just enough to make him worthwhile but nothing too offensive Kamala is able to wear him down pretty good but the Soulman fights back with some big rights and lefts Johnson even nails Tonga and Tama for good measure! The distraction is enough for Kamala to attack him from behind and get control! Kamala then hits a nasty powerslam on Johnson as though he flies across the ring! Kamala then hits the ropes and comes CRASHING DOWN with the BIG SPLASH! Kamala then picks up Johnson and goes for another PowerSlam but this time he tosses him over the ropes to the floor! The referee makes the count and Kamala has won this one… via countout… and needless to say he is on a streak! {Kamala is scaring the fans at ringside and he seems to be out of control. Akbar is screaming that he will take control of Windy City Pro Wrestling! The Savages stay at the ring with Akbar as the Batten!} The Battens vs The Samoan Savages w/ Skandar Akbar Not much going on in this one Tonga and Tama just beat the hell out of these two guys The Battens aren’t able to get going whatsoever A big double superkick on Brad and then on Bart Tonga goes to the corner… Tama goes up top and hits a nasty diving heatbutt! 1….2….3! The Samoan Savages are on the rise…how high can they go? {We then see Jim Garvin come out with Precious and they are working the fans up something good. Then we see Terry Taylor come out and he has the fans excited for our next contest…} Terry Taylor vs Jim Garvin w/ Precious As good of a technical match that we’ve seen tonight These two go almost the full 15-minute time limit Garvin is able to get some heat Taylor is able to work his way back Precious uses the hairspray to blind Taylor This leads to Garvin coming from behind with a low blow Garvin turns Taylor around and hits the BRAINBUSTER 1….2….3 right in the middle of the ring! Garvin and Precious work the fans… Garvin looks like a strong contender here. {Joe Pedicino goes to the entryway where Harley Race walks out for a quick promo…} Harley: Tonight… right here in Gurnee… I am going to show the world that this old dog can hunt. I am not dumb to the idea that my prime has come and gone but that don’t mean I am dead. Austin Idol… I am going to show you why I am the real World's Champion. 7 times I held the NWA World Title. Now... I add the Windy City title to my collection and with it... your head! Rock N Roll RPMs attack the New Breed This one is out of control early on and all four men get involved in a full on brawl Davis & Lane are pulling no punches right now as Royal and Champion are going full on This one spills out of the ring to the floor with all four men pushing the referee away The big spot comes with Royal throws Lane over the rail into the fans Davis then runs with a clothesline on Royal that sends him over the rail! The referee is calling for the bell A double DQ is the call No clue on what is going to happen next with these four. {The chaos continues as these guys go to the back. The officials come out but then we see Bad News Brown come out and there’s the official that “cost” him the match against Idol. Brown threatens him and raises his arm but then Danny Spivey comes out of nowhere and attacks Brown in the aisleway!} Dan Spivey vs Bad News Brown This one is going wild already and picking up where the previous match left off. Spivey and Brown are throwing some big time rights and lefts The crowd is solidly behind Spivey and they boo whenever Bad News makes a shot Spivey catch Bad News and backdrops him over the ropes to the floor Bad News is able to catch himself though… and he pulls Spivey out of the ring Bad News then grabs Spivey and RAMS his head into the ringpost! SPIVEY IS BUSTED WIDE OPEN! Bad News is going to town on his head as the official is trying to break this up Bad News tosses Spivey in the ring Spivey tries to make one more effort but the blood loss is too much Bad News hits a GHETTO BLASTER out of nowhere and Spivey is down! Wait a second… Bad News… he isn’t going for the pin… but he walks up the aisle and grabs a bag he was carrying out… He gets back in the ring and lays down a couple more shots before opening the bag… oh my… scissors! The referee tries to grab Bad News but he throws him down This one is a no contest… but that’s not all… Bad News proceeds to cut off Spivey’s hair! He is doing a terrible job of it though as he is cutting it and throwing it in the air We finally see The Rockers and Chris Adams run out as Brown retreats… Spivey is bloody… and has got a terrible haircut… what is next for the big guy? {The fans have seen some serious brawling over the last two matches and now we get… the Nasty Boys… let’s see if the Dynamic Dudes can once again change their style to get their hands on the gold!} WCPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Dynamic Dudes vs The Nasty Boys © This one actually changes the tide from the previous contests The Dudes and Nasties seem to slow the pace down and work their specific styles This one goes around 14-minutes It happens to be more of a slow and plotting contest that the fans really don’t respond to Ace and Zenk have got the look and athleticism but they are missing something… and the fans find it and let them know about it The finish sees the Nasties counter Johnny Ace’s big momentum comeback Ace is flying around and throwing big shots He then goes up to the top and flies for a cross body but Sags catches him into a powerslam! Zenk can’t believe it as he gets up but Sags gets up and clotheslines him over the top to the floor. Ace is still down.. Knobbs is up top… ELBOW DROP! 1….2…..3!!! The Nasties retain… next week…. They take on the Rockers… big time match with big time consequences! {The ring is cleared… the debris is swept away… the lights go down and then spotlight hits the ring as Pedicino steps in…} Joe Pedicino: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the main event of the evening. This contest is scheduled for one fall with a sixty minute time limit and it is for the Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first…. The challenger… he hails from St. Louis, Missouri…. He is the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion… ladies and gentlemen… Harley Race!!! And his opponent… he hails from Tampa, Florida… he is the reigning… defending… Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion… The Universal Heartthrob… Austin Idol!!! WCPW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Harley Race vs Austin Idol © Perhaps the most important match in the short history of Windy City Pro Wrestling This one goes 18-minutes and it shows off the strengths of both men Idol is working the crowd something special and really builds up the heat Race… he’s slow and methodical and sells everything Idol does The match builds to a couple of huge moments The first big moment is when Race ducks a clothesline from Idol and then nails a huge high knee and gets a 2.99 count! The fans all thought Race had won it He is pleading with the referee This gives Idol the chance to turn the tide with a nasty low blow The last quarter of the math is a showcase for Idol who beats Race down…until… The fans begin to cheer for the grizzled veteran… Race seems impervious to pain! He is throwing some huge rights and then an inverted atomic drop! The two brawl and trade blows until Race ducks a shot and then NAILS Idol with a right hand! Race grabs him…. PILEDRIVER! Race staggers over and covers him for the 1……2…..3…NO! Landel runs out of nowhere and throws Idol’s foot up on the rope. He appears to be late on the move but Race is irate Race grabs Landel and pulls him into the ring and nails him with a huge right hand! The referee can’t seem to get control but when Race turns around… IDOL NAILS HIM WITH THE BELT! Race is down… Idol covers…1…..2….3!!! {The crowd is irate… we see Landel help Idol up and wok the fans… he is still the champ… hook or crook… the belt is still his. The fans are really eating this up as Landel and Idol then go back and they are wearing Race out in the middle of the ring… but out of the back runs Chris Adams! Adams runs down and he’s hammering both men and then a huge SUPERKICK to Landel that sends him over the top to the floor! Idol runs for a clothesline but Adams ducks and then comes back with a superkick and Idol goes down HARD! He is laid out in the middle of the ring! Adams grabs the belt and puts it on him. March 25th… Adams gets his chance… how will that turn out?}

Medusa is my gal here... I hope she takes control here... she is on the golden path if you will.

Tully is the NWA champion I always wanted. Like Flair... he was amazing right but there is something that he doesn't have that Tully does and it shows here. I am also a big fan of six-man tag team wrestling and you've done a masterful job here putting together the titles and also making them meaningful. I'd say right now, you're at the top of the heap and for good reason. Keep up the awesome work!
-
AWA continues to roll with some of the best wrestling in the country. Tommy Rich is without question one of the top wrestlers in our world. I actually love the International Title idea and something that could really have serious stakes if done correctly. After looking through this... you and the NWA are neck and neck for the top of the heap.
-
Love me some PCW and the main event...Steel Cage... Bubber vs Flyin Brian.... Bubber was the man with his hand raised but Pillman's stock is through the roof and he is going to be someone to really watch in 1987. A pretty fun ten man in there as well... Windham, Simmons, Hennig, Konnan, & Warrior... what a team! Also we've got Eddie and Art... 2/3 Falls...no winner. the question now is what can they do next? Will someone's hair be on the line?
-
I have got nothing for Paul Jones... so he has left Windy City and in his place, Sherri Martel will return in a manger role.
-
Sorry about that.

Our main event tonight is going to be a special six-man tag with Austin Idol, Buddy Landel, & Jim Garvin taking on Harley Race, Terry Taylor, & Chris Adams! Plus so much more… let’s get going with our opening contest… White Lightning & Black Thunder vs The Samoan Savages w/ Skandar Akbar The Savages come out with the fire sticks and put everyone on edge Lightning and Thunder get some offense in but this is a great showcase for the Savages Tama and Tonga both lay in some serious lumber with potato after potato The finish is pretty slick with Tama hitting a powerslam and then Tonga coming off the top rope with a diving headbutt! 3-count… the Savages… they look like a force to be reckoned with Scott Steiner vs the Grappler Big time contest for Scott Steiner who is going up against his toughest test yet The Grappler hasn’t quite hit his stride here in Windy City but his favor looks to change tonight Grappler goes low every chance he gets Steiner has got the crowd behind him and he finds a way to stay in the match and work over the Grappler Things are looking bleak but then the Grappler goes outside the ring and then under the ring? Steiner goes out and he’s looking for Grappler… but the Grappler comes out the other side? What in the world is going on here? The Grappler… maybe… attacks Steiner from behind. He tosses him into the ringpost and Steiner hits it the wrong way… he’s busted above the eye Grappler climbs back in the ring… the referee continues to count…he gets to 10! The Grappler has won via count out… but the crowd isn’t happy and Steiner isn’t done! Steiner… wiping the blood from his eye then goes and grabs under the ring… OH MY… he’s got something! Steiner pulls out… The Grappler?! The other Grappler jumps down and now Steiner is being double teamed and left for dead They pick him up for a double suplex outside the ring on the concrete! {Pure chaos to get the night started and Steiner is a mess as he’s helped to the back. No clue on how this one will end up. We then see the Samoan Savages lead out Skandar Akbar and the Mighty Kamala! The Ugandan Giant is something to behold. Some of the kids in the crowd are terrified until the music hits for the Iceman who comes out to a great ovation!} Iceman Parsons vs Kamala w/ Skandar Akbar Iceman is still looking to find a way to get his rhythm here in WCPW Kamala is just a monster who attacks him right from the get go Iceman is fighting back with everything he’s got but can’t seem to get it together Kamala with a huge slam and then he begins to bite the head of Iceman The referee has lost control of this for all intents and purposes When the referee grabs Kamala then the Samoans come over and sneak in some shots Iceman is in a no win situation here as Kamala picks up Iceman on his shoulder… he runs to the ropes and tosses him to the floor! Iceman looks like he lands right on his head and there’s the referee counting Akbar is a nut outside the ring as the referee gets to 10 and then the Savages go to work on Iceman They toss him back in the ring. Kamala has won via count out Iceman is then hit with a double gutbuster followed up by a big splash from Kamala {The officials take Iceman out on a stretcher… he doesn’t look to be in a good way at all. We see Danny Spivey come out and he checks on Iceman… these guys are friends but Spivey has got someone in the ring waiting for him… Cuban Assassin… Fidel Sierra! Dan Spivey vs Cuban Assassin Spivey continues to build steam The fans are really behind him right now Assassin is another heel to help get Spivey over and he does it in convincing fashion Spivey is able to work him over… hit a big boot… then HELICOPTER TOSS! 1….2….3!!! Spivey wins this one and works the crowd. {Next up, Pedicino announces the big no disqualification tag team match. We see the Moondogs come out and needless to say they are looking rough. Then we see Zenk and Ace come out to a great ovation. Let’s see how this goes.} NO DISQUALIFICATION Dynamic Dudes vs The Moondogs Big time match for both of these teams. We find out the winners of this match will take on the Tag Champs in two weeks in Gurnee The bones are used early Zenk and Ace are definitely out of their element. The highlight of the match is when the Moondogs are double teaming Johnny Ace outside the ring and then Tom Zenk gets out on the apron and runs down the apron and leaps onto both Moondogs to pop the crowd! This is the turn of the tide… Zenk and Ace are putting it together… The final moments are pretty fun…Zenk and Ace toss Rex to the ropes and then hit a double back drop over the top rope to the floor! Ace and Zenk then run at Spot and duck a clothesline before hitting the ropes and nailing a big double dropkick! Zenk with the cover for the 3-count! {Ace and Zenk get the win and work the crowd. They’ll be taking on the WCPW Tag Team Champions when WCPW heads to Gurnee, Illinois for the Carnage at the Carnival! Now… time to find out… who will be the champions?} WCPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Batten Twins vs The Nasty Boys © A nice little contest for both teams. The Nasties are definitely the better team The Battens do work well enough together and get in some offense to make the match look good… but this is another showcase for what the Nasty Boys bring to the table. The finish sees the Nasties hit a double shoulder breaker on Brad Sags then comes off the middle rope with an elbow right to Batten’s throat and then the 3-count. {The tag champs look good here. The Nasty Boys are set to take on the Dynamic Dudes in a couple of weeks but don’t forget about the Rockers and the New Breed… right now we get to see Bad News and Hase!} Hiro Hase vs Bad News Brown In a little bit of a weird contest, Bad News beats the hell out of Hase He makes pretty quick work of him and then hits the Ghetto Blaster Brown with the 3-count… but this isn’t over… He goes over and grabs the referee…. Wait a second… that’s the same referee who was in his heavyweight title match a week ago! Brown is slapping him around and then a bodyslam! Bad News doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon but then the crowd stirs… Danny Spivey comes running down to the ring and Bad News retreats This referee is in a bad way as Spivey checks on him. {Bad News works the crowd up pretty well here on his way to the back. Spivey and other officials check on the referee who is in a bad way. We then build up to our next contest… a tag team encounter with some serious stakes on the line… let’s go to the ring…} The Rockers vs The New Breed A really well put together tag team encounter with all four men really leaving it out in the ring The New Breed are just edgy enough to get some heat while the Rockers are without a doubt the favorites here in WCPW We get a fun 13-minute affair with double team moves and quick tags. The match could go either way at any moment but as time winds down the action picks up The New Breed has the edge and the finish is pretty special… Royal is set to come off the top rope on Jannetty for a cross body but out of nowhere… Shawn Michaels with a dropkick right into his chest! Royal gets up but then Jannetty runs and crossbodies him over the top rope to the floor! Michaels with the cover for the 3-count! {The Rockers win… they have got things going their way…but do they get a title shot in the future? We’ll find out soon enough. The stage is now set for this huge main event… the crowd is stirring. Here with go…} Joe Pedicino: Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for our main event. This is a one fall match with a sixty minute time limit. A special addition to this match is that if Harley Race’s team wins, then Harley Race will receive a championship match against Austin Idol for the Windy City Heavyweight Championship. Now… introducing first… Pedicino: From the United Kingdom… Gentlemen Chris Adams! From Greenville, South Carolina… Terry Taylor! From Kansas City, Missouri… the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion… Harley Race! Pedicino: Their opponents… first… from Tampa, Florida… he is accompanied by Precious… Jimmy Garvin! Next… from Knoxville, Tennessee… Buddy Landel! Their partner… the reigning Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion… from Tampa, Florida… Austin Idol! Harley Race, Chris Adams & Terry Taylor vs Austin Idol, Jimmy Garvin, & Buddy Landel A main event if there ever was one… these six-men go 28-minutes and it is something to behold Garvin and Adams have got some serious heat with one another and the crowd eats it up Landel and Taylor are well enough and keep the momentum of the match going Then we get Race and Idol and these fans come unglued After our big showdowns… things get mixed around… and without question… Chris Adams is the mvp here He is rocking all over the ring and he looks like a star in the making At the 20-minute mark we see Harley Race get double teamed by Garvin and Landel and then sent out to the floor… that is when Austin Idol leaps off the apron with a knee to the back of the head This gives the heels a 3 on 2 and they go to work on Terry Taylor… they wear his ass out before he makes a tag to Adams who comes in to get things heated up The heels are all bumping around for him but they also have the advantage and take control This leads to a huge tag to Harley Race who found his way up to the apron He comes in with some serious rights and lefts! Austin Idol is doing eveythting he can to stay away from him but Race grabs him with a headbutt and then tosses him over the top rope to the floor. Garvin then comes with a knee to the back and Race hits the turnbuckle Garvin turns around and SUPERKICK from Adams and he goes out of the ring to the floor Buddy Landel runs for a clothesline but Adams ducks and then hits another SUPERKICK on Landel… that sets up Race for a running high knee! Race covers for the 1….2…..3!!! {Harley Race and his team have won it! The crowd pops for Harley… he is going to be taking on Idol in two weeks in Gurnee! Taylor doesn’t appear to be in too good of shape. Idol isn’t happy about this… can he walk out with the title next time he and Race meet one on one?}

The big brawl... wow... great stuff. I am really enjoying the team of Larry Z and Al Perez. These two work in a way that makes me think the sky is the limit. Mulligan leads an eclectic group to victory. A bloody battle will set the crowd on fire. Colon over Snuka looks to be interesting. The Death Match is Colon's deal and no one else can match him. Jerry Jarrett now controls the AWA... which means... well we'll find out. Tommy Rich... the man... one of my faves and he is on top of the AWA. Who is next in line... who can beat him... who can challenge him... WrestleRock 87 is coming... can't wait!

I am still getting used to Big Daddy Ritter... but he is making some decent waves. He has something left in the tank... maybe not much but something. I am a big fan of Wild Bill. I met him once. Super dude. Duggan as a top tier guy in the NWA is an interesting thing. Like what would have happened had he gone after getting fired? Could he have made a splash or was that big Americana movement past its prime? Looking forward to Crockett Cup... I'd throw you some Windy City guys if you need them!

PCW is showing off some great talent and you continue to build some great stuff. I have to commend you on putting out a great promotion with some really great young talent. It is like this is the fresh wave of wrestling that people can get behind. Black Tiger winning the title is a big moment. I love the Pillman v Bubba pairing... it is something I really want to see. Can't wait for the continuation.

The Big Brawl looks to be a top tier show right now. So much on the line and you've got match after match with stakes all over. I think for me... it is Sawyer and Rich... how can the Wildfire reign supreme against the Mad Dog. I also have some investment in this 10-man and control of the AWA moving forward. Hook, line, and sinker... now I am ready to see what happens!

What a card... Savage v Borne for me was the one I'd love to see. I don't think Macho gets enough credit for his ability to go in these types of matches throughout history. The six-man was a little surprise but I really enjoy this team of Haystacks, Street, and Dundee. It is the right kind of weird that keeps me glued in. Lastly, a TV title change in the middle of everything... perhaps overshadowed... but hopefully it can rise out of the remains of what was a spectacular show.

The Champ Champ Champ reigns supreme...Could Medusa be the one? I kind of hope so but I also love the dominance.

I appreciate how well you're doing with the loops and keeping them fresh. At this point, I want to find a Brian Pillman Big Bubba match... that could be something. The Gantner's are tough competitors but the Harts are some of the best in the business. Windham with a "loss" to Hart's men... could be a chink in the armor but I think he has got plenty left in the tank.
