  3. WCW Power Hour - Tony Schiavone & Paul E Dangerously lead us through a decent morning of action… a couple of new workers showing off some skills. The Diamond Studd with some nasty power… Owen Hart with some smooth finesse… Kona Crush shows off why he has some tremendous upside… WCW Top 10… looks about the same as last week… Main Event sees the Rockers take on on Harley Race and Bill Irwin… nothing too spectacular… the Rockers with the big win and they look good… do they deserve another shot at the tag titles? World Championship Wrestling - Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura bring us in for a big night of action and fans Sting is back here to address the fans… we’ll hear from Flyin Brian and Lex Luger… plus tonight… the Road Warriors are in tag team action against the Samoans. Let’s head to the ring… The Skyscrapers are dominant… Sherri is saying she’s got a big surprise for everyone… HE’S COMING! The Nasty Boys with a big win tonight and they call Sherri… Scary Sherri… the Skyscrapers don’t seem to be very happy about it. Our first promo comes from Paul E and Muta… but they aren’t alone… here comes the one and only Masa Chono. Paul E says that these two are good friends from Japan and people in WCW know that they mean business and will take out their vengeance on Lex Luger and Flyin Brian! We find out that they will both be in the Omni next week… Tatanka gets a nice win… he and Wahoo celebrate… they want to do something big in the future… Captain Mike Rotundo is out here… he’s got the singlet on… going back to the well… looks good in the ring. Lex Luger and Flyin Brian come out and they’re joined by Sting. Sting gets a huge pop from the crowd. They put over the big event at the Omni when Pillman and Luger take on Muta and Nikita once again… Sting will be at the ringside. We also find out that Luger will be taking on Muta in Japan on April the 28th. We find out that next week, Flyin Brian and the Z-Man will take on Muta and Chono. We do get some tension with Pillman and Luger… it's a smidge… but just enough to let you know these two have got something brewing. WCW The Main Event - Tony Schiavone & Eric Bischoff don’t have too much excitement here tonight… however, Sting is here… let’s take a look… Sting is back out here on the Main Event to pull a ratings pop and let the fans know he’s getting better… he shows he can walk without the crutches now but he says he still has to be mindful of his knee… while he’s in the ring with Tony… we see Gary Hart come out and now he’s got Abdullah…the Samoans… they are surrounding the ring…. Sting swipes at them with the crutch but gets saved when Flyin Brian, Big Josh, & Kona Crush run out to hold court… Sting has his backup once again… but then Sherri walks out and brings out… what the hell… is that Zeu… The Z-Man defeats Paul Roma in the main event on Main Event… Hercules gives him the business… Roma and Hercules look strong here and Zenk still has some gas in the tank!
  4. Free-For-All - I loved the spot with Kokina and the pin - great job on that one. So the Flag Match, I have done this before, put USA vs Russians in Canada with a Flag Match stip... it's just one of those wrestling things that makes sense somehow. Vader winning is exactly what needed to happen. Jake Roberts in the same boat - now you've got two big contenders coming out of this. Nailz winning and Bossman subsequently leaving is a big deal... how can Nailz pay off on this momentum? Dynamite and Dynamite Jr as the tag champs feels good and gives the crowd a much needed pop! Andre vs Quake is a spectacle and you do a good job of putting that over here. Quake... now a 4th big time contender being built. Haku reigns supreme... 5th contender. Hacksaw gets his W- much like the Flag Match... in Cananda... USA! USA! USA! Powers of Pain winning was a shock to me... maybe because the Commonwealth won earlier... but I felt like this was Demos time. Dino Bravo wins the IC title... 6th contender! He deserved a run with this one. Dusty Rhodes with a huge win and the surprise of Dustin makes this his WrestleMania moment! Warrior... comes back... back to back Main Events @ WrestleMania and this time he triumphs over Rude who has had a helluva World title run. Give it to Rude for his reign and his list of foes along his path to greatness. Now it is Warriors turn and as I've been keeping track... he's got 6 contenders to deal with coming out of this... you have all kinds of ways to go and things for Warrior to do as champion and I am pumped to see how it works. I will say that the babyface side of the card may need to get some help right now and build back up but the WWF is in good hands and I am excited to see how it shakes.
  5. "Ravishing" Rick Rude(c) w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan vs The Ultimate Warrior Texas Bullrope Match. "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes vs Terry Funk WWF Intercontinental Championship Tito Santana(c) vs "World's Strongest Man" Dino Bravo w/"Le Commendant" Frenchy Martin WWF Tag Team Championship Toronto Street Fight. The Powers of Pain (barbarian & Warlord)(c) w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan vs Demolition (Ax & Smash) Grudge Match "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan vs "Raging Bull" Manny Frnandez King's Court Match King Haku w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan vs Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) w/The Guiding Light" Capt Lou Albano vs Badd Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka) w/"The Doctor of Style" Slick Intermission Special Attraction Match. "The 8th Wonder of the World" Andre the Giant vs "The Walking Natural Disaster" Earthquake w/"Le Commendant" Frenchy Martin WWF Canadian United States Tag Team Championship The Fabulous Rougeaou Brothers (Jacques & Raymond)(c) w/"Le Commendant" Frenchy Martin Prison Yard Match. Big Boss Man vs Nailz w/"The Doctor of Style" Slick "The Golden Warrior" Kevin Von Erich vs Jake "The Snake" Roberts Billy Jack Haynes vs "The Mastodon" Vader w/"The Devious" Mr Fuji Flag Match The American Eagles (Liberty & Justice) vs The Bolshieviks (Boris Zhukov & Nikolai Volkoff) Plus Robert Goulet sings "Oh, Canada". Free for All exclusive. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rodgers) vs The Samoan Headhunters (Alofa & Kokina) w/"The Devious" Mr Fuji DAMN! Killer Card... gonna be awesome... can't wait to see how it goes down man. WWF has got a lot of life right now and this is going to be epic!
  6. WCW Power Hour - 3/29 Tony Schiavone & Paul E Dangerously A pretty simple episode tonight… we have some good squash matches from the Samoans, Savio Vega w/ Boricuas, the Godwins, and the Skyscrapers. We also see that Atomic Bomb video again. We get the top 10… WCW Champion - Lex Luger Great Muta - International Champion Nikita Koloff - US Champion Rick Martel - Television Champion Davey Boy Smith Flyin Brian Scott Hall One Man Gang Abdullah the Butcher Michael Rotundo Tatanka We get a couple more squash matches… The JYD does some decent work, Kona Crush, and the debut of this masked man… he’s big… he’s called the Widowmaker… he has got a black chap style outfit with a black mask… Our Main Event sees Power & Glory take on Big Josh and Tatanka… Power and Glory retain in a decent bout. World Championship Wrestling - 3/29 Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura bring us in for a big night of action… we’ll hear from some of the top stars of WCW but also see this unified team of Nikita Koloff and Great Muta in tag team action… plus television champion Rick Martel defends against Big Josh! Let’s take it to the ring. The Diamond Studd looks the part and destroys the competition… Jesse Ventura says he will have gold… sooner than later! The Nasty Boys show just how Nasty they can be. We get a Skyscraper Slaughter… Spivey and Nash seem to be clicking A good promo from Flyin Brian who says last week was just a fluke… he and Luger have got no problem with one another and he will be there whenever he needs him. The One Man Gang delivers tonight with his crony Kevin Sullivan out there causing all kinds of havoc. We get a continuation of the Tully Blanchard and JJ Dillon conflict… Tully is challenging JJ to a fight in the middle of the ring… JJ says he’s a one armed man in a fight right now… Tully says so is he… JJ says he is retired and will stay that way… Tully says he is going to keep on him and maybe even bring it to his family if JJ can’t seem to get his mind right. Once again… the talk of family brings a fire out of JJ who grabs Tully by the face before Tony Schiavone has to get involved and back things off… Wahoo McDaniels brings out his protege Tatanka who is looking to build back up some momentum. Rick Martel defends the TV title against Big Josh with the help of Power and Glory but the party doesn’t last long as Ron Garvin comes out to help his buddy and by golly you can cut the tension with a knife… Garvin is telling Martel to come back in the ring and this one could explode at any time! We get a new Atomic Bomb video… this time… the graphic ends with… ADAM BOMB is set to detonate! We’re back with another promo… this time WCW Champion Lex Luger comes out to let us know that he respects Flyin Brian… he knows he has a buddy in him when he wants and a partner if he needs it…hmm… he says that a match has been signed… WCW is going on tour to Japan in a couple of weeks to finish the month of April… and in the Tokyo Dome… he will defend the WCW title against the Great Muta… what a show that’s going to be… we’ll talk more about that show in the coming weeks! The Rockers look good in tag team action… the Road Warriors have an inset interview and put over the Rockers as the number one challengers for the WCW tag titles and can’t wait to see them in the ring again! In the Main Event… we see Nikita Koloff & the Great Muta team up against Johnny Ace and the Z-Man. It is a decent contest… Zenk and Ace have some good chemistry… but it is Nikita and Muta who have the power and keep control. It isn’t as much of a tag team… but they tag one another when they have the opponent down… there’s no continuity… they don’t need it though… Johnny Ace eats a Russian Sickle… that’s all she wrote. Muta and Nikita look to have some words… in Russian or Japanese… but just as Muta is walking out… someone in the crowd gets his attention… wait… that’s Masa Chono?!? What in the world is he doing here?
  7. Love the WrestleMania build.... I think Skydome may have the roof blown off with someone like Warrior coming out in a big way. I like Santana v Bravo but worry Bravo may walk away with the title on his homeland. Spectacular writing and set up with these shows. You're using everyone in the right way and it makes it easy to read, fun to read, and engaging!
  8. WCW Power Hour - 3/22 Tony Schiavone & Paul E Dangerously The Sting parade starts on Power Hour this week and he comes out to a huge ovation… he looks to be walking with a noticeable limp and the crutches still… but he’s got 100% of the fans behind him… he starts putting over Lex as champion and then talks about Flyin Brian being his buddy and stepping in for him… but then we see Kevin Sullivan come out and he’s got the One Man Gang with him… they are crowding Sting up and saying that this is their chance to make their MAAAARK on WCW when they take him out for good… but here comes the JYD for the save… Sting says this is a guy who will stand in for him and when he comes back the One Man Gang will be right at the top of the list of people for him to take out! World Championship Wrestling - 3/22 Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura open us up and by golly here comes Sting! He’s out here early and he tells everyone that he’s pumped for the Main Event… he’s here to see all the stars tonight and he’s got eyes in the back of his head for anyone lurking around the corner! Power & Glory w/ Brother Love put forth a good effort tonight… we have Rick Martel out here with him and all the gold drip is looking good for Brother Love’s crew. They run down Ron Garvin in a big way… leading to Garvin coming out… he says that he’s going to be in the Omni on April the 14th...… and April 14th he’ll be cleared to wrestle… and he doesn’t want to wrestle… he wants a fight… with Rick Martel! A lights out… Georgia Brawl… first man who can’t reach the 10-count loses… no titles… no rules… just a fight! Martel and his crew are laughing… they accept… and as soon as they do… Garvin smiles and walks off! We get a couple of good showcase matches from the Diamond Studd… the Skyscrapers… and then Big Josh who all look good tonight. Sting makes an appearance and the crowd is going wild! He talks about his rehab and how he hopes to be back in the ring before too long… he is here tonight to watch his buddies Lex Luger and Flyin Brian beat the hell out of Muta and Koloff and he’s going to be right there to watch it all go down! A couple more squashes… Mike Rotundo is out in the Syracuse Orange… we see The Road Warriors kill two guys… Kona Crush is out and he looks to be in great shape… We get a special video… nothing of much substance… but just an atomic bomb exploding. The last segment before our main event shows Gary Hart with his crew… Abdullah the Butcher and the Samoans… he says they have their eyes on Sting and if it just so happens that taking him out for good puts them on top of WCW… well then… so be it! MAIN EVENT Lex Luger & Flyin Brian vs The Great Muta & Nikita Koloff is a really great television match… all four men get involved… Luger is protected… Pillman does all the work and sells his ass off… Muta looks to be on the next tier while Nikita plays the monster better than many others! In the end… we see a miscommunication with Luger and Pillman… this leads to Luger goes down on the floor while Pillman is double teamed… Sting comes out to try and help Luger but inside the ring… Pillman gets nailed with a Russian Sickle… to the back of the neck and he goes down for the 3-count! Just as Muta and Nikita look to finish off Pillman… Sting looks like he’s going to get in the ring as Ivan and Paul E are going wild outside the ring… then Luger makes the big comeback and breaks up the action. They check on Pillman who then gets up and he’s got an attitude with Luger!?! Sting is playing peacekeeper… what is going on here?

World Championship Wrestling - 3/15 Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura welcome us in to World Championship Wrestling this week and we’ve got a huge night… six-man tag team action is coming our way with Ron Garvin, Owen Hart, & Davey Boy Smith taking on Rick Martel along with Power/Glory. Plus, we’ll hear from Lex Luger on the challenges from Nikita and Muta… and Tully Blanchard says he’s here to confront James J Dillon… what a night… fans let’s head to the ring! The Road Warriors piss pound two jabronis and drop one of them on their heads. Scott Hall hits the Diamond Death Drop on some dude who then has to get carted out. Flyin Brian looks like a rocketman as he flies from all over the ring to take out his foe. We get our first major issue as Tully Blanchard comes out and he is running down JJ Dillon something awful… we find out that JJ is in the back and he is with Ron Garvin… he is informing Garvin that he can’t wrestle tonight because of the injury and he won’t sign off on the match! Owen and Davey Boy say they’ll find someone to sub in… looks like it will be the Z-Man. This turns when Tully then confront JJ backstage and we get a heated argument about how JJ never cared for the Horsemen… never cared for Tully… he only cares about his lil brat kids at home and that pulls JJ right into Tully’s face and now we’ve got security breaking them up… Tully walks off with a smirk…. Big Josh and Tommy Rich defeat the State Patrol in a well match… Mike Rotundo comes out - Rocking his Syracuse singlet again... this guy can't catch a break. Abdullah the Butcher has got Gary Hart in his corner as he forks the hell out of some kid… didn’t expect juice on TBS tonight! Lex Luger then comes out and he says he challenges Nikita and Muta… Luger isn’t afraid of either man and he says he’ll take them both on at the same time… but Paul E and Uncle Ivan say they want to make him really feel some pain… so maybe Sting will be his partner… that lights up the crowd but everyone knows Sting can’t wrestle right now… Muta and Nikita then draw near only for Flyin Brian to say he’s going to partner up with Luger… he and Luger shake hands… we find out that this big tag team match is going to take place next week right here on WCW… plus Sting will be here! WOWZA! Kona Crush comes out and defeats Bill Irwin… Crush is an interesting project here in WCW right now… he’s got the look… he has got some skills… how will he fare? Main Event - Six-Man Tag… Rick Martel and Power/Glory w/ Brother Love vs Davey Boy Smith, Owen Hart, & Z-Man (subbing for Garvin) ends up being quite the mash-up. Davey Boy and Owen are in prime spots to be big stars in the future… Tom Zenk plays his role well… he knows he isn’t at the top but he likes to get close and does a good job. Martel looks awesome here… physically and technically… Roma and Hercules do good… the finish is HOT… Martel counters a Z-Man top rope drop kick into a Boston Crab for the submission but while he holds on… Ron Garvin pushes his way through security and comes out to attack him and Martel and Garvin are going at it! These guys are rolling all over the ring… security comes out and some other wrestlers… Martel swipes at him some more… Garvin says he wants him anytime anywhere!

  16. WCW Power Hour - 3/8 Tony Schiavone & Paul E Dangerously Power Hour is primed and ready to go this morning and Paul E and Tony are a great pairing. WCW seems to be all about some fresh young talent right now and we get a view of some of them right now… The Samoans, Tatanka, Owen Hart, Savio Vega, Jushin Liger are all in action. We get the WCW Top 10… Lex Luger - WCW Champion Great Muta - International Champion Nikita Koloff - US Champion Rick Martel - TV Champion Flyin Brian Davey Boy Smith Scott Hall One Man Gang Owen Hart Tommy Rich Junkyard Dog In our main event… Davey Boy Smith defeated Hercules in a hard fought battle of the strong guys. Paul Roma got involved and so did Owen Hart… but then when Rick Martel came out, Ron Garvin thwarted him and all hell broke loose. Garvin cut a masterful promo when he call Martel a paper champion with a glass jaw… and his hands of stone are going to break that glass jaw and turn that paper title back into gold when it comes around his waist! World Championship Wrestling - 3/8 Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura A big time Saturday Night show here… we find out that Sting will be here tonight… plus we’ll see Muta in action… Nikita in action… and a main event with Rick Martel defending the Television Championship against Owen Hart! Harley Race & Bob Orton beat up some local young dudes. The Great Muta is on fire tonight and he looks like a million dollars. The Skyscrapers rule the world… the highlight is seeing the helicopter throw from Nash… such a great visual. Tatanka fights back… he looks great. Big promo from JJ Dillon who says that he has no quorum with Tully Blanchard… but it doesn’t take long for Tully to come out and he talks about challenging JJ Dillon to a fight… JJ says that Tully knows damn well he can’t get in that ring ever again… Tully says he better put up… shut up… or get out because he’s running him out of WCW one way or another! Abdullah the Butcher cuts up some poor dudes skull. Nikita Koloff hits a Russian Sickle on some poor schmuck and he doesn’t get up! The Z-Man flies off the top rope with a dropkick that electrifies the crowd. The Nasty Boys… well they are nasty and pretty dangerous in the ring. Another big promo… Sting comes out on crutches with Lex Luger. They put over the big World Title situation… Luger says that he knows Sting will always be in his corner… Sting says he is training hard and he is doing everything he can to come back… he hopes to be back for the Great American Bash in July… this brings out Nikita who is looking like he’s going to attack Sting… but then Muta comes out… Paul E runs his mouth… Muta mysts Sting… Luger violently pushes Sting out of the way and takes a Russian Sickle… Muta and Nikita then stare each other down… Sting needs help to the back! Scott Hall with a nasty Diamond Death Drop on a young Marc Merrow… sells like a champ… Hall comes over and he and Jesse work the crowd. Main Event time… Owen and Martel go 15-minutes and Martel pulls out a handful of tights roll up. Technical masterpiece… Martel makes Owen look amazing tonight… Brother Love and his boys are out there but Ron Garvin and Davey Boy even the odds… we find out they will be in a six-man next week! See you then!
  17. Huge SNME and then we come back for Prime Time... I love the promos and the write-ups for the show. You jumped right into the WWF feel and hit on all cylinders. Jake Roberts showing up is huge and a big boost for the WWF - he is an instant star - and could pop right to the top of any side of the card. Then you've got Funk - Dusty oh yeah Rude and Earthquake - WWF is cooking right now.
  18. World Championship Wrestling - 3/1 Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura welcome us in for a new era of World Championship Wrestling. We get a couple of big segments but nothing of huge note. WCW Top 10 Lex Luger - WCW Champion The Great Muta - International Champion Nikita Koloff - US Champion Rick Martel - Television Champion Flyin Brian Davey Boy Smith Scott Hall Tommy Rich Owen Hart One Man Gang Tatanka We get a special segment with JJ Dillon talking about the status of Ric Flair who has left WCW… but then we see Tully Blanchard come out of the back… he and JJ go off on one another… sounds something like… Tully: You thought you created the Horsemen JJ… and now you think you can kill the Horsemen… well maybe the Horsemen are dead and gone but I am still here! You sent me away so you could pull the strings but brother I am right here and I know that no one is willing to stand next to you. I’ve seen you JJ… I’ve seen you with the blood on your face… the knucks in your pocket… hell half the guys in the back can’t trust you or have been double-crossed by you… and I know better than all of them! So JJ… I am telling you right now… I am making it my mission in 1990 - I am going to ruin you… and if I ruin WCW in the meantime then by golly… the walls will come crumbling down! Lex Luger cut a nice promo thanking Sting… we find out that he’ll be here on the show next week… the promo is cut short by Paul E who says that it is now time for Luger to accept the challenge… the Great Muta has put it all on the line and Luger has to accept but as soon as he’s about to sign… out comes Nikita Koloff and Ivan Koloff! They are jumping down the throat of the champion now and Nikita says he is challenging Luger… he’s the number one contender… Ross asks if he’s turning in the title but Ivan says no… he says that Nikita is next in line… chaos ensues… Muta mysts Nikita…. Nikita sickles Luger…. All hell breaks loose. The Road Warriors defend the newly minted WCW Tag Team Championships against team of Abdullah and the Berzerker… it was a shit show. Other things of note… Ron Garvin cut Rick Martel in half and has challenged him to a street fight! Flyin Brian says that he has his sights set on the title and avenging Sting! Owen and Davey talk about how the Power and Glory were nothing but Lucky and they’ve got the Hart to come back and get those titles!
  19. Available for Trade - Can come as soon as Now Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty Davey Boy Smith Owen Hart Jushin Thunder Liger Tommy Rich Fatu & Samu Brian Knobbs & Jerry Saggs April 1st Rick Martel June 1st RW Animal & Hawk The Great Muta
  20. Chaos is the name of the game in Memphis and you capture it well here. I don't know about 1990 Dustin Rhodes vs Randy Savage... that seems to be a huge mismatch even though Dustin was the Natural... fast forward 2 years and I am all over it. Taker and Taker... the Takers... if you will... I feel like they're on track for the gold but I don't know how long they will stay belts or turn into Urns and Necklaces with these two...
  21. Wrestle War 90: Wild Thing – Greensboro, NC – Coliseum – February 25, 1990 BATTLEGROUND! The Junkyard Dog, Big Josh, Crush, Johnny Ace, & The Nasty Boys vs Abdullah, The Berzerker, Kevin Sullivan, The One Man Gang, & The Samoans w/ Gary Hart Well needless to say…. This was kind of a fart in church. The entry of the wrestlers didn’t make much sense but did add a good bonus of drama… here was the order… Big Josh Kevin Sullivan Fatu Samu Crush Johnny Ace One Man Gang Berzerker Knobbs Abdullah Saggs JYD We saw a lot of double-teaming and triple-teaming… Crush ended up being the star of the show… he nailed One Man Gang with a bodyslam! The finish saw Crush hit the head crushing chokeslam on Sullivan for the 3-count at the end! Lots of brawling… nothing really good here… maybe needed some more star power. UNITED STATES TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Davey Boy Smith & Owen Hart vs Power & Glory w/ Brother Love A real showcase here as Davey and Owen are on fire from the outset. These guys go about 12-minutes. Power and Glory get some good heat on Owen… only for Davey to come in like a house of fire and really turn up the crowd. In the end… we see Owen with a spinning heel kick on Hercules and they go flying out of the ring. The referee is locked up with Brother Love when Hercules comes from behind Davey Boy and CRACKS HIM with the CHAIN! Roma then rolls him up with a handful of tights for the 3-count! Power and Glory get the win… they hold the titles up like they did something… Brother Love is just beside himself with happiness! The Z-Man vs Scott Hall Tom Zenk doing Tom Zenk things… putting over Scott Hall in a big way. The Diamond Studd is poised for something and tonight he makes the next step. He sells for Zenk enough to make it interesting and then hits the Diamond Death Drop for the 3-count! Hall is really letting the fans have it! TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Tommy Rich vs Rick Martel © w/ Brother Love Somebody say something about getting fired up for the television title?! Well Tommy Rich comes out like a house of fire and gives Rick Martel every single ounce of whoop ass he’s got! Brother Love… once again lets his presence be known… Just as Rich hits the Thesz Press… Brother Love pulls his leg. Love is smiling and working the crowd but then out of the crowd… OMG! It is RON GARVIN! Garvin jumps over the rail and NAILS BROTHER LOVE! Garvin jumps in the ring and he tackles Martel! The referee has to ring the bell. Rich is trying to pull Garvin off of Martel… Garvin is insane right now… Martel wins via DQ… title stays where it is! The Hog Farmers vs The Skyscrapers w/ Sherri As you would suspect…. Spivey and Nash beat the hell out of these guys. A double powerbomb on Henry is all she wrote. The Skyscrapers look completely dominant! Sherri is looking o so fine as well! INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Jushin Thunder Liger vs The Great Muta © w/ Paul E Dangerously This one needed some more build up. These two go toe to toe for 20-minutes and it may be one of the best matches in the USA in 1990… but there’s no big story. Muta hits the myst but Liger has the mask on… it's a cool visual. These two fly around for a while… slow down and try to work different body parts… in the end we see Liger come off the top rope with a standing moonsault but Muta catches him and then turns it around for a TOMBSTONE out of nowhere! 1…2…..3!!! Muta keeps the International Championship… we hear Paul E yelling for Luger…. These two have got to be on the track towards one another… or will it be Flair… we’ll know in about 90 minutes. In a very special segment… we see the return of Jim Ross to World Championship Wrestling! The crowd is soldily behind him. We then hear him set up… the return of STING! Sting comes out on crutches and they do a great promo in the ring. They put over the surgery and the big showdown for Luger and Flair tonight. Sting says that this will truly be the test of both men… he knows Luger is a true champion and he will show it tonight. Flair is the champion of champions but tonight he is the challenger and one has to wonder if he will get the title back and be the champion everyone knows he is! Sting says he is hoping to get back in the ring soon…. He will do whatever it takes to get back here for the fans! Jim Ross then joins Jesse Ventura on commentary while Tony Schiavone heads to the back… Flyin Brian vs Arn Anderson Arn and Flyin Brian get it going right away! They hit one another right in the chops in the damn aisleway! This one is nothing but a fight and the fans are just loving every minute of it! Brian has got the Sting arm band on and the crowd is 100% behind him! Arn Anderson gives him everything he’s got and even hits a gordbuster outside the ring that looks awful. Flying Brian has to fight his way back… he works his way back into control… then Pillman off the top rope with AIR PILLMAN for the 1…2….3! Anderson can’t believe it! Flyin Brian with the biggest win of his career and my oh my Jim Ross is going nuts! TAG CHAMPIONSHIP UNIFICATION The Rockers (NWA) vs The Road Warriors (WCW) This is one a lot of people have been waiting for… two of the top teams in the world of professional wrestling and they go toe to toe for 24-minutes. The longer the match goes… you see the Road Warriors tag more often and the Rockers seem to get stronger! The Warriors control the early pace but the Rockers have made a pretty big comeback and Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura are putting this through the roof. We see the Road Warriors take control… they get some serious heat on Marty Jannetty… he looks like he’s about to die but then he makes the big tag to Shawn Michaels who comes in with the passion of 1,000 fires as he is rocking and rolling all over the ring. He knocks both of the Warriors out of the ring… and then out of nowhere… he dives over the top rope and attacks both men! All three men are fighting… then we see Jannetty run and he jumps through the ropes and takes everyone out! Pure chaos at ringside as we get back in the ring. We see Shawn tag Jannetty… Animal tag Hawk. Then we see a segment… let me try to explain… Animal hoists up Jannetty… Hawk readies for the Doomsday Device… Jannetty is the now the legal man… as is Hawk… Hawk Flies off the top rope with the clothesline and destroys Jannetty… but out of nowhere… Shawn comes with a superkick on Animal that knocks him SMACK DAB OUT! Michaels covers Animal…. Hawk covers Jannetty… it looks like simultaneous 1….2…..3! Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura are trying to explain what is going on… we then cut to Mike McGuirk who has the official word…. Mike: Ladies and gentlemen… after speaking with the referee…. the winners and UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS… HAWK AND ANIMAL… THE ROAD WARRIORS! Not a very popular outcome with at least 60% of the crowd who were behind the Rockers but the Road Warriors hoist up the gold and they shake hands… what a war… we have unified tag team champions… for the time being… but the Rockers will be due a rematch sooner than later me thinks! UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP Tatanka w/ Wahoo vs Nikita Koloff © w/ Ivan Koloff The Russian Nightmare is 100% business tonight. He handles the oncoming fight from Tatanka with ease….but don’t discount Tatanka… he brings everything he’s got. Tatanka gets an explosion of offense and even has the Russian reeling… a flying Tomahawk Chop knocks Nikita out of the ring to the floor! Ivan has to get him under control before Nikita comes back in… and rips him apart. We get 3 Russian Sickles and Tatanka is down… but Nikita is going to set him up for another one before Wahoo McDaniel “jumps” into the ring to stop him! Wahoo is telling the referee to call the match… Nikita smiles and then he nails Wahoo with the Russian Sickle! He nailed him from behind and hit the back of his neck! The referee calls for the bell as Tatanka isn’t responding to the count… officials and agents run down to try and help him out… Nikita is still the US champion and perhaps the one to lay claim to the number one contender spot here in WCW What could be considered the final showdown… these two men walk out with the most pomp and circumstance. Flair… by himself… Luger… by himself… two men and one title on the line. WCW Championship Lex Luger © vs Ric Flair Lex and Flair know one another so well and they go right into the series here tonight. We start with Flair being the chickenshit heel… Luger showing off his power. This leads to Flair cheating to get the edge and then starting to work over the knee. Luger fights his way back and attempts some big power moves until Flair counters and goes to the knee one more time. Luger is really starting to sell it now. Flair is softening him up for the Figure-Four-Leg Lock but Luger isn’t giving up without a fight. The Total Package fights back again and this time he even gets the upperhand to put Flair up in the rack but his knee gives out! Luger collapsed right in the middle of the ring! Jim Ross has really gotten into his groove with this one and adds that extra layer to the match and he points out how Luger is fighting on one leg! Flair goes right to work and man he is a man with a vengeance. He breaks that knee down and then he locks in the figure-four and Luger is writhing in pain! Sting comes down… knee in a brace… he is getting the crowd going for Luger! The fans start to chant and cheer for him and Luger turns the figure-four over and takes control. Flair has to let go and now Luger seems impervious to pain! Luger throws Flair to the ropes and then picks him up for a press slam and the knee is holding! Luger then with one clothesline… another… and then a POWERSLAM! Luger makes the sign for the rack! Here comes Flair and Luger hoists him up in the RACK! Arn Anderson tries to come down to the ring and Sting NAILS him with a crutch! JR is putting over Flair’s previous broken back! JR is going up and down… up and down… up and down… FLAIR HAS TO GIVE IT UP! LUGER HAS WON IT! The fans are going wild! Luger has won it! Sting gets in the ring and hugs him and hands him the title! Luger and Sting celebrate! Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura put this through the roof!

  24. You've got a ton of intriguing matchups... I'd personally like to see how Condrey does as a singles.... Bam Bam vs Buddy Rose is something I'd like to check out... Kawada and Sasaki v the Midnights... and then... to top it off... Steamboat... the ultimate underdog against the man who sees fear in no man... Dr. Death. PCW is always good for a mix and mash of some of the biggest what ifs or what could have beens in our game.
  25. I have family from around the Hazard area - right now there's some massive floods that have been wrecking havoc down there. One thing was always true though - they loved wrestling and Bluegrass would be a top tier for them. Bert Prentice is a solid go to for the face of the promotion and really adds a lot. I don't know if i would trust Tony Falk to take my money and train me but who knows. Tommy Rich has some open dates and would love to come see if anyone is talking about being fired up down in Kentucky!
