  1. I agree... and who is the right person and when is the right time. I mean at this point in 1985, Hogan is as close to 100% untouchable as anyone in the history of the sport. The person who beats him would get the rub of all rubs... almost to the point where it would kill Hogan if he wasn't able to get his revenge that quickly. You do a swap and you think WrestleMania is the time for the revenge but damn if Hogan had to chase I wonder what business would be like and just how many people would have to be thrown in his way before he got the shot. Then once he gets it... who does he face in the aftermath to keep business worthwhile. All a lot of crazy stuff to try and think about. If I had Flair and the Horsemen... I could pull that trigger... but without that kind of a stable or stability on the heel side... I just have no clue if it could work and be profitable.
  2. WWF live on The MSG Network Your hosts: Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse Ventura *Dark Match* The Rock N Roll Express defeated Los Conquistadors -The show opens with Gorilla and Jesse putting over this show and how they will be in MSG once every 4 weeks, bring you the greatest in professional wrestling. The next time will of course be the big MAIN EVENT on Monday the 30th of September with Hulk Hogan taking on Nikita Koloff inside the steel cage. They put over the big card tonight as we head to the ring for our opening contest! The Fantastics vs The Sheepherders -A really fun opener with the Fantastics and Sheepherders as they put together a great 12-minute opener. The Herders get some big time heat from this MSG crowd and really work them into a frenzy working over the Fantastics but Tommy and Bobby find a way to fight back in a big way. We see some real heavy hitting as the final moments occur and the finish sees all four men fighting outside the ring with the referee counting and then a pair of dropkicks before the Fantastics jump back in the ring before the 10-count and get the victory. The Herders grab chairs and attempt to get back after them before security comes out to break things up... Scott Casey vs Bad News Brown -A pretty good showcase for Bad News who works over Scott Casey for a good 8-minutes. He hits a great side judo slam to set up for a nasty kick to the throat that puts Casey down for the 3-count. Bad News then gets vicious when trying to injure Casey before we see Manny Fernandez run out and they almost go at it before Bad News walks off! Barry Windham & Demolition vs Rick Rude, Hercules, & Chris Adams w/ Bobby Heenan -A fun six-man here with some big time talent. This one gets a good 18-minutes of action with all six-men getting some shine. Barry Windham is the true star of this one though and he is white hot and he has got the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. Demolition have also got a lot of love from the crowd and we see them control a lot of the action. The finish lines up for Demolition to isolate Chris Adams while outside the ring we hear a chair shot that CRACKS Barry Windham’s head WIDE open. He is bleeding like a stuck pig out there but the referee never sees any of it. Meanwhile in the ring we see a double spinebuster on Adams by Demolition to set up the pinfall victory. They work the crowd until they see that Barry Windham is outside the ring in a pool of his own blood. They go to check on him as the crowd is ravaged after Heenan and company. Andre the Giant vs Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan Koloff -First time back in the Garden for Andre the Giant and folks it is big time! He and Nikita Koloff have got MSG shaking right now as the crowd is going NUTS! Ivan is outside of the ring working the fans up while Gorilla and Jesse put this over in the biggest way. This one only goes about 6-minutes with a lot of strikes. Andre is able to work over Nikita but the Russian Nightmare fights back and we get to see some of his power. It is just a taste of something that could be as it leads to Ivan getting involved with the Russian chain. This causes the DQ victory for Andre but then a Russian Chain loaded Russian Sickle puts Andre in the ropes and the Russians are going to work on him. They are pounding away before Hulk Hogan comes out to chase them off! He helps Andre out of the ropes as they stand tall and look on at the Russians who may have lost the battle but the war is far, far from over. *INTERMISSION* -Gorilla and Jesse are back putting this over in a big way. They talk about the Russians and Hulk Hogan. They put over the issue with Barry Windham and Rick Rude and talk about how he has been taken to local medical facility to get help. We have got four more big matches coming up here tonight as we head to the ring for our second half! Kerry Von Erich & Jake Roberts vs One Man Gang & Sika w/ Gary Hart -This one has been brewing for a while and we see OMG and Sika working well together under Gary Hart’s guise. Kerry and Jake don’t really mesh well, but hey go well enough to get the crowd going. Jake is really becoming a face who can sell better than any other in the business. He shows off being hurt and being so close to being out better than anyone. When he makes the hot tag to Kerry, the crowd explodes and he comes in like a house of fire, going from pillar to post. We even see him slam Sika to a big pop from the crowd. Gang comes over to hold things off but Roberts comes out of nowhere to take him out of the ring to the floor. Kerry Von Erich them nails Sika with a big discus punch but it doesn’t work as he hits the ropes for a big superman style punch and Sika goes down for the 1….2…..3! Jake and Kerry get the big victory as they work the crowd. We see the Missing Link come out as this one is about to break loose again before officials and agents break things up. Billyjack Haynes vs Gino Hernandez w/ Bobby Heenan -Another good contest with these two guys that have seen one another before. Gino is SUCH a heat magnet. He is working the crowd into a frenzy by just strutting around the ring. Billyjack shows off some really good skills and his power but Gino has a prowess that is second to none. He has got to have the World Title on his radar and it is only a matter of time. The finish sees Billyjack go for the Full Nelson but Heenan pulls his foot to get his attention before Gino headbutts him right in the jaw and knocks his attention for a whack before rolling him up for a quick 3-count and getting out of the ring. He works the fans but they are tossing debris and ready to rip him apart! Tito Santana vs Kamala w/ Friday -Gorilla and Jesse really put over Santana’s #1 contendership for the IC title in this great contest against the monster that is Kamala. These guys go for about 12-minutes and Kamala looks to be the most devastating man in wrestling with his handling of Santana but “Chico” fights back with a true warrior’s passion. He throws some big shots at Kamala before nailing a big dropkick that has got the big man rocked. Tito then hits the ropes and nails a flying forearm and it is time perfectly for Kamala to fly over the top rope right as Friday grabbed on and he goes to the floor. He is trying to shake the cobwebs out but nothing doing as the referee hits 10 and we have got a winner! Tito works the crowd and makes the sign for the title… could it be his… when will he get his shot to face the Macho King?!? MAIN EVENT HANDICAP MATCH Hulk Hogan & Brutus Beefcake vs Greg Valentine & The Hart Foundation w/ Jimmy Hart -A very interesting main event with Hogan and Brutus teaming. One has to wonder if Brutus needs the rub from the Hulkster to get over the proverbial hump. It works tonight, but one has to wonder if they even notice Beefcake out there with Hogan. Regardless, we get a fun 15-minute main event. The highlight is seeing a young Bret Hart in there with Hulk Hogan for a couple of moments. The Anvil actually does some great work with Hogan and Beefcake for that matter. Valentine is a true pro and someone who has got title aspirations in mind down the line. The finish is pretty expectable with Hogan double clotheslining Bret and Valentine over the top to the floor. The Anvil is in the sleeper hold but then Brutus throws him to Hogan who hits the big boot and then the leg drop for the 3-count. Hogan and Brutus are posing for the crowd before we see Nikita Koloff and Ivan walk out. Nikita is on the ring apron… jacked to the gills. He looks at Hogan with scary stare… Hogan is welcoming him in the ring and it could break through at any moment… these guys will be inside a steel cage on the 30th of September live on NBC and the MSG Network… watch it all unfold!

  5. cromulent. adjective. Appearing legitimate but actually being spurious spurious adjective not being what it purports to be; false or fake.
  6. Just as a clarification... 1. Jos LeDuc is going to be reinstated to Lutte as of September 1st. 2. Floyd Cretchman will take over for Eddie whenever Edgar makes that transition. 3. Percy Pringle is now a member of the Continental Roster The rule will be... If you find someone who is active in real life but not on a roster and claim them... as long as it is not a quick clerical error, they are yours. UNLESS that person is a rookie or in the business for 1 year. Obviously I put out all the fresh face posts to help that, but it can happen. Let me know if you have any questions.

Andre the Giant defeated Joey Gunn & Ronnie Bandana in a handicap match Ivan Koloff: Andre the Giant, you think because you are the biggest athlete in the world that you can stop the Russian Nightmare. Rude and Hercules weren’t done though as they cause the distraction for Valentine to eliminate Windham. -We get down to three and the final moment is a great visual with Gang and Valentine doubling up on Santana before Tito fights back with everything. One Man Gang holds Tito as Valentine runs for a big forearm but Tito moves and Gang gets rocked. -Gang stumbles out and here comes Tito off the ropes with a flying forearm and he NAILS the One Man Gang who stumbles back into Greg Valentine and they both go over the top to the floor and Tito Santana has won it! The Sheepherders defeated Jesse Glen & Sammy Chow -A good showcase for the Sheepherders who have been on their own as of late. Without Dutch, they have got a little more viciousness to them. We see the double battering ram and then the subsequent count out victory as that has been their calling card. Barry Windham defeated Ryan Butler Rick Rude: Barry Windham, for weeks I have been listening to all the peons out there talk about how good looking you are. 12. If we are giving LeDuc to Lutte is Pringle going to Gene then? I wanted it to be a clear black and white thing... other than rookies... I think rookies like the Vader situation... they should go to draft but full-time active people should go to the finder?
  13. WWF NEWS -The WWF is very happy with the preliminary reports from Saturday Night's Main Event and the show itself may have set the WWF up for up to 5 more Saturday Night's Main Event specials along with at least two more MAIN EVENT specials like the on on September the 30th. -Speaking of the show on September the 30th, it will be broadcast on NBC and also the MSG network. The will be the 2nd WWF MSG show in September as a new touring schedule is set to start next week. - The WWF is taking a rare "week off" in terms of touring this week. There will be television tapings and all three shows will air this weekend but the WWF comes back on 8/27 with the new schedule. -The WWF was in talks with Japan to do a joint tour but negotiations fell through and it is said to be an issue with timing on both ends. There is still a chance at a joint tour in the future and it is said that both parties are excited about the possibilities that it brings. -The WWF has been scouting some rookies throughout the world of wrestling and have said to have made some preliminary offers to some younger talents to come in. With a show like All-American, they have a chance to build up the talent before putting them on a bigger stage. -Speaking of television, the WWF will run its three shows on weekend television and syndication while also running an MSG special on the MSG network once every 4 weeks. MSG has said they would like the consistent showing of the WWF and they have agreed and to go with it television to be aired which means more money for the WWF in this relationship. - There is a rumor going around that Hulk Hogan wasn't overly big on working with Nikita Koloff... and that after their match at SNME there were some heated words. There are some who think Hogan is just frustrated that Nikita has a better physic that Hogan while others have voiced Hogan's concern for Nikita's ability in the ring. If Hogan were to get hurt during a match with Nikita, it would really spell trouble for the WWF with no clear cut #2 babyface to come up and take charge in his absence.
  14. Cliff note us if need be. I would recommend using google docs as it keeps everything saved to pick up from any computer. Hope things turn around for you.
  15. That main event sounded like a dog fight. Very well booked couple of weeks and moving some pieces around in the card. There is a lot of upward movement possible in the AWA with the way you book it which is a great thing.
  16. Fun tournament and payoff. When a show like this happens, it needs to make sense (which is did) and needs to pay off (which it did) Great work.
  17. Hey fellas, I apologize in advance. I have got all my shows up, but I have got the sinus infection from hell. On top of that school is starting back up so I have been slammed. I will try to keep up but it will be short and sweet. I went all in on SNME, so I hope you guys enjoy it.

Vince: I beg to differ Jesse… fans it is time… the biggest match in the history of Saturday Night’s Main Event… the WWF Championship is on the line… let’s go to the ring! WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Hulk Hogan © vs Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan -Big isn’t even the word to describe it… it is ENORMOUS! Both men are jacked to the gills. Both men have got the crowd going… Nikita they boo… Hogan they love. We get a fun little taste of what is happening here with both men feeling one another out. We get some tests of strength and Nikita shows to be the stronger of the two. Hogan has some fear in his eyes and in his weakness we see Ivan Koloff outside the ring get involved. Hogan is rite for the picking as we hit the commercial! *COMMERCIAL* -We are back and now we get some really fun back and forth. Both men continue to play the power game with no real give or take. The big moment happens when Hogan goes into the corner and Ivan Koloff holds his leg… Hogan then turns around and here comes Nikita with a spear right into his ribs and his back! Hogan crumbles down and we see Nikita go to work. Nikita’s power is second to none… even the Hulkster and Hogan does his best to make Nikita look like a million dollars. Hogan is a broken down and beaten man before the comeback of all comebacks. He doesn’t quite “Hulk Up” but he gets tossed out of the ring and Ivan starts to work him over but Hogan turns it around and he slams Ivan. Hogan and Nikita then go back and forth with some big rights and Nikita goes for a sickle but Hogan ducks and then he tosses to Nikita to the ropes and here comes the big boot! Nikita falls backwards and here comes Hogan with his own AXE BOMBER and Nikita goes out of the ring to the floor! Hogan looks down and Nikita is shaking out the cobwebs before attempting to go back in the ring but Ivan holds him back. Hogan comes out and he and Nikita do battle once again before Ivan comes and pulls Hogan back. This gives Nikita a chance to wrap the Russian Chain around his arm and Ivan turns Hogan around and Nikita NAILS HIM! The referee calls for the bell as Nikita has been DQ’d here due to his use of the chain! We have got pure chaos out here as Nikita is looking to whip Hogan with the chain but officials and agents run down and get between him. Here comes President Jack Tunney! Nikita and Ivan are smiling on their way to the back as all hell has broken loose. More on this when we come back. *COMMERCIAL* -Jesse and Vince are back putting over this huge happening with Hogan and Nikita. They are talking about how the ring couldn’t hold these two and they wonder what could. Jesse says he saw the fear in Hogan’s eyes and there was no doubt in his mind that Hogan was deathly afraid of the Russian Nightmare! Vince says Hogan fears no man… and Jesse says Nikita isn’t just a regular man… they put over the story and say we will hear more later on… right now Mean Gene is standing by with Jake the Snake Roberts… Mean Gene: Welcome in here Jake Roberts. Now you may not be on the card… but I am told you are here as a very special guest. Jake: That’s right Gene… you see Damien and I were invited by Kerry Von Erich. We know he is on the card against the One Man Gang… and wherever the Gang goes… that little devil Gary Hart is behind him with all his cronies… well know this Hart… you dangle on that tree and you might find some guests that you weren’t ready for! Mean Gene: There we go fans… I am told that right now Hulk Hogan is meeting with President Jack Tunney… fans we will have an update on this broadcast! Let’s go to the ring. Kerry Von Erich vs The One Man Gang w/ Gary Hart -A fantastic showcase here for both men. Von Erich has the body of an Adonis and the Gang is such an imposing figure. Gary Hart is masterful outside the ring. He is working the crowd and working Von Erich every chance he gets. The Gang is able to break down Kerry and work him over before Von Erich makes a big comeback. He is hammering with some big right hands and even nails the big discus punch that gets Gang rocked out of the ring to the floor. Gary Hart gets up on the other side of the ring and rips off a turnbuckle! Kerry and Gang fight outside the ring but then get back in for the finish. Gang is looking to finish off Kerry as he hits some splashes in the corner but he goes for broke and Kerry moves and Gang is stumbling! Gary Hart is up on the apron and Kerry with a HUGE discus punch to Gang who cracks heads with Gary Hart! Kerry hits the ropes and another big leaping discus punch and the Gang hits an exposed turnbuckle and falls down for a 3-count! Kerry in the winner but not for long as Kamala, Friday, Sika, and Link all run down and attack him with the Gang. Here comes Jake Roberts with Damien and he tosses it in the ring to clear things out! Jake and Kerry stand tall but this fight is far, far from over! *COMMERCIAL* -We are back with Jesse and Vince putting over this issue with Jake and Kerry and Monsters Inc. They both put over how they are going to need some more help if they want to try and bring a fight to those guys. Jesse wonders who would be dumb enough to help them at this point. Vince says he knows a man who wouldn’t mind backing down from a fight and that would be Andre the Giant! Vince says he has got a special taped interview with Andre and his return to the WWF! Vince: I am joined right now by the 8th wonder of the world… Andre the Giant. Andre, your absence from the WWF has got noticed and fans have been wanting to know when you will be back in the ring?!? Andre: Thank you Vince… I have been traveling the world wrestling in Canada, Japan and all over. I have faced the toughest talent but I know the best talent is right here in the WWF! Vince: That is indeed true Andre… I know everyone wants to see you in person… when can we expect your return to the ring? Andre: I am ready to go whenever someone wants to get into the ring with me. I find it hard to have a match… men are afraid of me… I will show them I am the one true Giant… Vince: Absolutely correct Andre… perhaps we will see you at the next Saturday Night’s Main Event? Andre: You find me an opponent and I will be there Vince… Vince: There you have it fans… the next time that the WWF comes to you on NBC, expect to see this man… 7’4”, 550 pounds of Andre the Giant right here in the WWF ring! Mean Gene: What news is that… Andre the Giant back here in the WWF next time we are live on NBC and folks, you don’t want to miss it. Another man who I would suggest will be there is non-other than the self-proclaimed Macho King, the Intercontinental Champion Randy Savage! Randy Savage: Self-proclaimed huh Okerlund? I think not… no I think not… you see I beat the man who said he was the King… yeah… I have beaten ever single opponent in my path for eight months as the rightful Intercontinental Champion of the WWF! They keep lining them up and I keep putting them down… OHHH YEAAAH! Mean Gene: Well one man that you won’t be putting down is Barry Windham… he has got your number tonight… Randy Savage: My number huh? What is my number? Is it 100, 1,000… to infinity and beyond… I don’t think so. I don’t think so Barry Windham. You are nothing but a thorn in the lion that is the Macho Man’s heel. Yeah you hurt a little bit but I am going to pull you out and shove you to the side with the rest of them! You see something Gene Okerlund… every time I step into that ring it is with the very best that the WWF and the World has to offer and there is not a man alive that can stand next to the Macho King… DIG IT! Mean Gene: Fans it is started to get a little windy pack here with the hot air… when we come back the Intercontinental Championship is on the line! *COMMERCIAL* -We return with Jesse and Vince putting over the return of Andre the Giant. They put over how big of an attraction he is and what his return means to the WWF. They talk about how in the back right now… Jack Tunney is meeting with Ivan and Nikita Koloff and we hope to have word on their decision in the coming moments. They turn their attention to the IC title match and put over how Randy Savage has been champion for over 8 months now and one of the best in the business. They talk about Barry Windham being right there with him in terms of talent but Jesse says he has got something left to be desired and the Macho King is going to show him why he’s the King tonight! INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Barry Windham vs Macho King Randy Savage © w/ Elizabeth -On live television, these guys get a chance to shine and shine they do for 20-minutes. Windham and Savage do some great work with Savage playing the chickenshit Memphis heel who won’t engage and Barry chasing. When they do engage, it is as though Savage has got a serious personal beef with him that is driving his passion and anger. There are some serious hard hitting shots and then it turns into a stylistic match with both men showing off their skills. We get a commercial break in the middle of things to slow it down but when they come back it gets hot and heavy and we getting towards the end. It is Windham who appears to be in control and he is the one looking to finish off Savage but out of the back walks… Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan? What are these guys doing out here? Rude is trying to get Windham’s attention but he is focused until Heenan gets involved! Windham is looking out at Rude who is flexing up big time and here comes Savage as he knees Windham in the back and goes into the turnbuckle and then Savage with a roll up with a handful of tights for the 1…2….3!! Savage jumps out of the ring and joins up with Rude as they shake hands and join up. Elizabeth just isn’t sure what to do. Savage grabs her arm and walks her to the back. Windham is trying to get his bearings as he gets up and Jesse puts it over in the biggest way! *COMMERCIAL* Mean Gene: Bobby Heenan… what in the world were you two doing out there? Heenan: What did I say? What did I say? I told you we would be heard and we were! That right there is why. Rick Rude is the best looking man in this sport… all the women know it… but you got a pretty boy like Barry Windham out there… well how good does he look now? Mean Gene: Rick Rude… I am sure you have more on your mind? Rick Rude: Haha… Okerlund… you like all the other pukes out there just saw why I am the master of the Rude Awakening. Windham… you have gone on too long thinking you are special… well I just knocked you down right where you belong boy… and now I am the one at the top of the mountain! Mean Gene: You guys have a warped sense of reality… folks… we have got a big time six-man coming up… and I am told that I am going to meet with Jack Tunney and Hulk Hogan later on and we will have a big announcement… let’s go to the ring. Brutus Beefcake & The Fantastics vs Greg Valentine & The Hart Foundation -What a night of action… and it is capped off here by a big six-man. This is a very fun contest as the Harts and Fantastics have been each other’s throats for most of the year and we see it come through here. Brutus is the weakest of the six, but he serves his purpose. These guys go about 12-minutes and we get some fun, fast paced action. The finish sees all six-men involved and then Hammer and Brutus go outside the ring before Tommy and Bobby hit a big double dropkick on the Anvil and he smashes right into the Hitman. The Anvil runs out and Bobby leap frogs him and runs up to Bret with a monkey flip right into the Anvil again and here comes Tommy comes with a roll up on Neidhart for the 1…2….3!! The Fantastics and Brutus get the victory and back out of the ring! They work the crowd as Jimmy Hart is still trying to figure out what happened! Jesse and Vince put this over in a big way and say that when we return… Jack Tunney will make a big announcement! *COMMERCIAL* Mean Gene: Fans I am joined right now by President Jack Tunney… Mr. Tunney, I think everyone is shocked by what we have seen here tonight on Saturday Night’s Main Event… Jack Tunney: I would agree with that Gene… and tonight I have spoken to Nikita and Ivan Koloff… I am have spoken to Hulk Hogan… I have spoken to WWF officials. Mean Gene: And what is the verdict? Jack Tunney: It is under our best interest that we hold a special event… like we had in February… it will be called the Main Event. It will be held on Monday Night, September the 30th from Madison Square Garden. The showcase match on that card will be a WWF Championship rematch with Hulk Hogan defending the championship against Nikita Koloff. However… this time it will be in the confines of a 15-foot high steel cage! Furthermore… I have been in contact with a special guest enforcer… Andre the Giant will be outside the ring to make sure no one can come down and have any say in this great contest! Mean Gene: Fans there you have it… right here on NBC we will have the Main Event on Monday September the 30th… Hulk Hogan and Nikita Koloff inside a steel cage with Andre the Giant outside the ring to make sure there are no interruptions! Hulk Hogan welcome in here… Mean Gene: I am sure you are happy to hear this news… Hulk Hogan: Brother no one could be happy to hear they will be locked inside a steel cage with a man the likes of Nikita Koloff but it is exactly what I wished for. I wanted to make sure there was no outside forces involved and I am so happy they brought the big man… Andre the Giant out there to make sure we were good to go. Now… Nikita Koloff… you my friend are going to be locked inside that steel cage with the strongest force in the world! Mean Gene: Do you have any fear of what could happen inside that cage with the two of you? Hulk Hogan: I would be lying if I said I didn’t have any fear Mean Gene. I believe that is it fear that causes a man to really see himself. I have looked down in my soul Nikita Koloff… I have seen the what makes me whole and I look to the big guy in the sky for the courage and the will to step into that ring one more time. I am going to ask him to give me the courage to step into that cage with you knowing full well I may not survive. But Nikita Koloff know this… my body as Hulk Hogan may fall… but my soul and the soul of Hulkamania will live forever! Mean Gene: Fans there it is… Hulk Hogan and Nikita Koloff… inside a 15-foot high steel cage on September the 30th… it is going to be a happening! -We finish with Jesse and Vince putting over the night’s results and the big matches from one to the next. They then put over the Main Event and how it will be an incredible showcase with Hogan and Nikita doing battle in the cage.
