  3. I really like the $5,000 challenge. It can be used as a great angle builder for the future. The main events are great, love the use of the talent and having such big TV matches should help build the national exposure if done properly. The big tag team match, then the follow up with the 8-man tag was really fun. Glad to see the use of the Omni now that Atlanta is a part of the USWA schedule. Memphis and Atlanta, what a combination!
  4. Honestly, I booked him winning the battle royal last month, because I knew I was promoting Savage to the US title, and wanted to do at least one brother vs brother Savage vs Poffo match in MACW.

  9. The 12th annual Survivor Series, re-booked (1998) is here! With the rules I put in place, we lose the entire world title tournament here. That will be a bother to a lot of people, as this is widely considered the best booked storyline PPV in history (or at least at the top of the chain). So, let's see what we can come up with for this year's Survivor Series elimination matches. Team Captain: Animal, Mosh, Thrasher, Droz & Golga (replacing Hawk) vs Team Captain: Steve Regal, 8-Ball, Skull, Brian Christopher & Scott Taylor Interesting team captains here, but in looking over the rosters and making the teams, this makes the most sense for what I'm going for overall. LOD 2000 and DOA are in their never-ending feud here. Headbangers are just before their heel turn, and Too Much (soon to become Too Cool) are in the beginning stages of their tag team. Steve Regal is really the odd man out here, and I wanted to throw him into a different match later on in the card, but there just wasn't any room. Golga is added as the storyline for LOD 2000 was that Hawk was an alternate, and we'll just remove him here to further that storyline, plus with Golga involved, we can push the tension between the Oddities and Headbangers for later this year. I won't book out the finishes here, let's just say Regal is the most pushed guy here, and we'll survive for his team. Team Captain: Scorpio (Replacing Al Snow), Bob Holly, Gangrel, Edge & Christian vs Team Captain: Taka Michinoku, Men's Teioh, Funaki, Dick Togo & Marc Mero J.O.B. Squad & The Brood team up against Kaientai and Marc Mero. You'll see why Scorpio is listed as replacing Al Snow later in the card. This is the middle card match. Who should go over? Let's toss a coin. For the sake of conversation, I'll say Gangrel and Christian are the survivors. Team Captain: Kane, X-Pac, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg & Al Snow (Replacing HHH) vs Team Captain: Undertaker, Faarooq, Bradshaw, D-Lo Brown & Mark Henry The future Brother's of Destruction, Kane and Undertaker on opposite sides of the ring. Kane beginning a face turn, not fully complete at this point, but for the purpose of the rivalry, he'll captain the babyface eam with his partners, DX (and Al Snow replacing HHH, who wasn't cleared to wrestle yet). Undertaker hasn't transformed into the Ministry 'Taker yet, but the building blocks are in place. We'll throw the Acolytes as his partners. D-Lo and Mark Henry gets added to the team as well, they were challenging for the tag team title around this time, so them vs NAO makes sense. I see Undertaker being the sole survivor here, but the finish would be questionable, keeping Kane strong, but still losing to his older brother. Team Captain: Steve Austin, The Rock, Goldust, Val Venis & Godfather vs Team Captain: Mankind, Big Boss Man, Ken Shamrock, Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart The early formation of the Corporation starts here. Without the title tournament here, we lose the story arc of Austin/Rock/Mankind over the title. For the purposes of assuming that the tournament happens after this show (maybe on Raw the next night, or at the next In Your House), we'll keep the parties on the same side. Austin survives. Mankind eliminates the Rock, setting up that story for the title finals. We could even use the mandible claw finish, shocking the fans, but also setting that precedent when Mankind vs Rock for the title happens and they use the IYH: Rock Bottom finish. We can even keep Shane McMahon a "lowly referee" in this match to advance that story until the tournament.
  10. An interesting time in Memphis/Georgia area wrestling. A brand new partnership, and a national company coming together on WTBS. Having the Piper's Pit segments on TV to advance storylines is a fun addition to the product. I'm looking forward to see what happens in the future here.
  11. Im totally on board with the 3 more bumps later in the years and with them also being a flex spot to fill the needs of the roster.
  12. Thursday, February 16, 1984 TV Taping (Shown Saturday, February 18, 1984) Spartanburg, SC Memorial Auditorium Tony Schiavone: Welcome to Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling! I'm Tony Schiavone, and this is David Crockett, and we have a grudge match setup from last's week show that will open up today's event! David Crockett: And that's not all, Tony. New Television Champion, Barry Windham is here to defend that title! Also, we will have some footage from last weekend's show in Fayetteville with Sivi Afi's mystery partner! Tony: Well, that's some interesting footage there David. Also this week, we will have an eight-man tag team match, as well as another interview from the US Champion! David: Let's not wait any longer. Let's go to the ring! Single's Match, One-Fall, 10-Minute TV Time Limit Pedro Morales vs Rip Rogers Lots of stalling early by Rogers. He flaps his mouth more than he's willing to wrestle. He slips into the ring, but begs off immediately. Pedro starts to take an advantage early, but Rip just slips out of the ring again and walks off for a count-out loss. Time: 3:10 Decision: Pedro Morales The announcers invite Pedro to the set before he returns to the locker room. Tony: Pedro, what do you think about the result of that match? Pedro: What was that Tony? Last week he wants to fight, this week he can't even stay in the ring long enough to mean anything. Why did he walk off? Tony: I wish we knew! Pedro: I don't get it. Well, a win is a win, Tony. Pedro walks off the set and disappears into the locker room. David: That was interesting, Tony, but now let's welcome the United States Champion, Randy Savage! The crowd gets so loud in their booing. David: Mr. Savage, you have requested this time, what can we do for you? Savage: You can shut your pie hole, that's what you can do. Oh Yeahhh!! This is the “Macho Man” talking to you, right now. I am the United States Champion. I am the greatest US Champion there ever will be, Dig iT?! And right now, I have a very special announcement to make…. David Crockett, I would like to introduce to you, my manager. The best manager in the world. The only manager worthy of managing the career of the greatest United States Champion of all-time. *** Dramatic Pause by Randy *** David: Well, don't make us wait, who is he?! Randy: He? This manager is the best mind in the business. This manager is the most confident, the most cunning manager I've had offer me their services….and David Crockett, everyone wants Randy Savage's services, dig it?! David: Come on, Randy, stop stalling...who is he? Randy: David Crockett, you should keep your mouth shut, so people won't know how stupid you are. My manager is NOT a he, My manager is the most gorgeous woman in the world! She is the FIRST LADY OF WRESTLING, and MY MANAGER! Miss Elizabeth! David: Miss Elizabeth?!?! Out walks this stunning, beautiful lady, Miss Elizabeth. She's carrying a small briefcase with her. David: Wow! Who is this, Miss Elizabeth? Randy: I just told you, David Crockett...she's the “Macho Man's” manager, oh Yeah!! David: Well, Miss Elizabeth, welcome to Mid Atlantic…. Randy: David Crockett, did I give you permission to speak to my manager! She has nothing to say. Her only focus is keeping me happy, and getting me mega dollars for my matches. Ohhh yeaahh!!!! Let's go! Randy struts off the set with his manager and showing off his United States Championship. COMMERCIAL BREAK Tony: What an announcement by the United States Heavyweight Champion, can you believe it David Crockett, Randy Savage has a brand new manager, and HER name is Miss Elizabeth! Just shocking! David: It really is, we will see how this works out for the “Macho Man!” Single's Match, One-Fall, 10-Minute TV Time Limit Terry Taylor vs Dusty Wolfe Basic face match. Terry keeps the offense basic and to the point. He finishes off Dusty with a leaping flying forearm to the face for the win. Time: 4:33 Decision: Terry Taylor's Tony: Please welcome, Terry Taylor! Impressive win! What's next for Terry Taylor? Terry: One focus Tony, and that is to recapture the United States title. I feel like I let my fans down. I let me emotions get the better of me, and at the end of the day, it cost me the championship. When I get my rematch, I will not let that happen again! Terry walks off the set and into the locker room. Junkyard Dog walks out from behind the curtain towards the set and the place explodes! Tony: Well, this is a surprise! Just as the fans in Fayetteville saw last weekend, JYD is here in the Mid Atlantic region! Welcome Dog! JYD: Well, thank you Tony. **barks** It's good to be back in MACW. Tony: Let's take a look at what happened last week in Fayetteville. We go to a small video package, recapping the events of last week between Sivi Afi, JYD and the Strongbow's. When we return, we see the JYD on the ground, injured. The Strongbow's have attacked during the video and beat down JYD. COMMERICAL BREAK Tony: World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair! Flair: Whooooo!!! The World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair has arrived on the scene. Tony: Rumor has it, that you're about to sign for a big-time main event at Mid Atlantic's big time closed circuit live event, Coastal Clash on March 31st! Is there any truth to that rumor?! Flair: Of course there is, Tony. I'm always negotiating for big-time World Title defenses. Tony: Can you elaborate on whom the challenger for this event will be? Flair: Ricky Steamboat. Whoooo! That's right, the clean faced, clean cut, nice guy named Ricky Steamboat will be challenging me for MY World's Heavyweight Championship! Tony. I have a lot of respect for his wrestling ability. He is an unbelievable technician. But brother, I'm the World's Champ! Whoo!! I am better than everyone. I'm the “Nature Boy”! Whoo! There is no one greater. March 31. Flair versus Steamboat. NWA World's Heavyweight Championship. Whoooo!!! Tony: (As Flair struts off the set) March 31, at the Charlotte Coliseum, or on a Closed Circuit provider near you. We will have more on this big event in the weeks to come. Let's take it back to the ring. Eight-Man Tag Team Match, One-Fall, Special 20-Minute TV Time Limit Mr. Fuji, Tiger Chung Lee, Hiro Saito & Toru Tanaka vs Italian Stallion, Frank Williams, Jason Knight & Tony DeVito Total Squash. At one point, all of Fuji's clan take down their opponent's one by one. The end see Fuji with a fall headbutt from the second rope to finish off Frank Williams. Time: 6:40 Decision: Mr. Fuji, Tiger Chung Lee, Hiro Saito & Tony DeVito We return to the MACW set as Tony is standing by with Jules and Jay Strongbow Tony: What was the meaning of that attack?! Jay: What do you mean? That Dog interfered in some business that wasn't his. That's what you get when you interfere in our business. Jules: We’re not getting ANY respect around here, and we are a great tag team, where's our title shots? How come we aren't even in the discussion to get a World Tag Team Title shot? Even the US tag team champions are ducking us! We demand respect, and we will be taking it from now on. Jay: Let this be a lesson to everyone that can hear my voice. We aren't playing around anymore. Tony: Let's go to break. COMMERCIAL BREAK David: Before his title match coming up next, Barry Windham, congratulations on your big win last week! Barry: Well, thank you David. That means a lot. It was a chaotic match, lots of action going on, but I felt that I earned that win, and this championship! David: Well, only the Freebirds will argue that statement Barry. So, today, right here in our main event, you defend that newly won title against a man you respect highly, Sweet Daddy Siki. How's that going to affect you going into this first title match? Barry: Yours right, I have a lot of respect for the man. For his ability. It will be a hard fought battle, I just hope I am capable of defending this title. David; Well, let's get right to it. Main Event time here this week! Television Championship Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute TV-Title Time Limit Challenger, Sweet Daddy Siki vs Challenger, Barry Windham The match is as you would expect, friends wrestling to try to gain an advantage. Before the action really starts to get going, maybe 3-4 minutes into the match, The Fabulous Freebirds show up and attack both men. The referee calls for the bell. They toss Siki from the ring and post him violently into the ring post. Then all three jump on Barry. Kendall and Sam Houston run out to battle the Freebirds. A number of officials come out to ringside and separate the two factions as Tony and David sign off the air for this week! Time: 4:26 Decision: No Contest, due to outside interference. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Dark Matches after the taping The Grappler's defend their US Tag Team titles against Pez Whatley and Lanny Poffo in 18:44. Kamala defeated Salvatore Bellomo in 5:01 Moondogs went a time limit draw with Pat Patterson & Ray Stevens 15:00 Ric Flair & Randy Savage defeated Ricky Steamboat & Terry Taylor in 28:21. In a Texas Tornado Bunkhouse Brawl, Barry & Kendall Windham & Sam Houston defeated The Fabulous Freebirds in 26:09.
  13. Sunday, February 12, 1984 Raleigh, NC Dorton Arena Tag Team Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit The Strongbow's vs The Vachon's Jules and Jay Strongbow come out really vicious now. They immediately attack the Vachon's and really beat them up badly. The Vachon's fight back, but you can tell there were taken by surprise. The Strongbow's even start to use some dirty tactics to keep the advantage. A low blow behind the referee's back gets Jules a pin over Butcher. Time: 8:42 Decision: Jules & Jay Strongbow Single's Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit Blue Demon Jr. (w/ Pierroth Jr.) vs Tiger Chung Lee (w/ Mr. Fuji) Blue Demon Jr. uses his high-flying offense to keep TCL off balance. A victory roll earns the victory for Blue Demon Jr. Mr. Fuji sends in Toru Tanaka to attack, but Pierroth Jr. intervenes. This leads us right into the next match. Time: 5:44 Decision: Blue Demon Jr. Single's Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit Pierroth Jr. (w/ Blue Demon Jr.) vs Toru Tanaka (w/ Mr. Fuji & Tiger Chung Lee) Tanaka gets an early advantage after a distraction by Mr. Fuji. Tanaka loses the momentum after a missed diving head butt. Pierroth Jr. nails a couple of dropkicks, sending Tanaka to the mat. He climbs the ropes and leaps off with a dropkick. He tries for the cover but Tiger Chung Lee breaks up the pinfall, causing a disqualification. Blue Demon Jr. enters the ring and all four men battle it out. Eventually the Mexican team drop kicks both of Fuji's clan to the floor. Fuji calls them off as they leave ringside. Time: 6:23 Decision: Pierroth Jr. via disqualification Six-Man Tag Team Match, One-Fall, 30-Minute Time Limit The Moondogs & Pedro Morales vs The Grappler's and Rip Rogers The Moondogs are still chasing the US Tag Team Champions, but tonight is a non-title battle. The Grappler's and Rogers would get an advantage about 4 minutes into the match, and they work over Pedro in their corner. He battles back, but gets cut off. Rogers can't keep him in the corner and Morales makes the tag to Spot. Spot rushes into the ring and sends Rogers all around the ring. Rogers makes a tag to Grappler #1, but Spot is on a roll. He's knocking down the champion over and over. Grappler #1 and #2 swap out at one point, but Spot tags Rex, who knows the deal, Rex shoulder blocks #2 into #1 standing on the apron and rolls him up for the pin. Time: 11:54 Decision: The Moondog's & Pedro Morales INTERMISSION Single's Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit Kamala (w/ Skandor Akbar) vs Salvatore Bellomo Another squash for Kamala. Big splash and three pounds of the mat. Time: 2:14 Decision: Kamala Tag Team Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit Ray Stevens & Pat Patterson vs Sweet Daddy Siki & Sivi Afi Afi and Siki have some offense, but this really belongs to the Vet's here. Patterson puts away Afi with a leaping knee smash to the side of his skull. Time: 10:00 Decision: Ray Stevens & Pat Patterson Single's Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit Lanny Poffo vs Hiro Saito (w/ Mr. Fuji) Saito pounds away on Poffo a good portion of this match. Lots of stiff kicks and strikes. Poffo is able to move away from a crushing senton, and quickly move up the ropes for his back flip splash for the pin. Time: 8:34 Decision: Lanny Poffo Main Event 10-Man Tag Team Match, One-Fall, Special 60-Minute Time Limit TV Champion Barry Windham, Kendall Windham, Ricky Steamboat, Terry Taylor & Sam Houston vs NWA World Champ Ric Flair, US Champ Randy Savage, Fabulous Freebirds (Gordy, Hayes & Roberts) This main event is ridiculous. Three champions in this match. All of these men know each other really well. They have a hell of a main event battle. Back and forth the entire way. No one team keeps the advantage long enough to put one opponent down for the count. At a couple different points, the referee loses control and it turns into a pier-six brawl. The referee would bring it back under control every time. This goes the entire 60 minutes and there is a time limit draw. The fans are really excited, but drained at the end of the match. They cheer loudly, appreciating a hard-fought battle between ten of the best Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling has to offer. Time: 60:00 Decision: Time Limit Draw
  14. Yes! Of course. There are so many different options and ways to go. I'd love to see what you have as well.
  15. I really enjoyed this week's show. The tease with the 4 fingers is cool. The matches were fun, the show flows well. I really like this series thus far.
  16. THe 11th Annual Survivor Series is here, the most controversial Survivor Series (1997) in history...but what would happen if there was NO title match to fight over? Team Captain, Taka Michinoku, Mosh, Trasher, Bradshaw, Windham vs Team Captain, Brian Christpher, Furnas, LaFon, Marc Mero & Goldust So very random teams here. I took the "we're pushing the light-heavyweight division for a month" approach here as I have Taka and BC captain teams. Taka has the Headbangers and the New Blackjacks. Brian brings Furnas and LaFon as well as Mero and newly heel Goldust. It comes down to Bradshaw/Taka vs BC, Mero. Goldust at one point isn't interested in whats going on and just walks away, ala Bad News Brown. Bradshaw drops Mero, but before Mero leaves, he uppercuts Bradshaw between the legs and BC gets the schoolboy pin. Taka pins BC with a Michinoku Driver II and survives for his team. Team Captain, Kurrigan, Sniper, Recon, Henry Godwinn & Phineas Godwinn vs Team Captain, Crush, Chainz, 8-Ball, Skull & Vader With the 5-man teams in this booking of the Survivor Series, it has created some interesting combinations here. The Truth Commission and The Godwinns against D.O.A. and Vader. DOA is basically DOA at this point, so they get some eliminations on Sniper and Recon, but Kurrigan and Godwinns destroy them leaving Vader. Vader tries hard, even gets an elimination, lets say Phineas, but Kurrigan takes Vader out to continue his going nowhere push. Survivors: Kurrigan and Henry Godwinn. Team Captain, Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Ahmed Johnson, Hawk & Animal vs Team Captain, Faarooq, The Rock, Kama, D-Lo Brown & Mark Henry (Mystery Partner) The Nation of Domination (I bumped Mark Henry's heel turn up to this show...just because) is a 5-man team here. Steve Austin captains this team, as he doesn't really fit into the main event match at all. Plus you can still have issues with him and Faarooq from the previous month's PPV. Austin has Ahmed, Shamrock and the LOD. At this point, Ahmed doesn't mean anything anymore, so I'd have Mark Henry show his power and drop Ahmed, eliminating him. LOD drop D-Lo with the Doomsday Device. Kama/Henry and LOD get the infamous tag team double DQ finish sending those guys away. Shamrock makes Rock tap starting their issues for '98. Austin stuns Faarooq to win the match for his team. Survivors: Austin/Shamrock Team Captain, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kane, Billy Gunn & Road Dogg vs Team Captain, Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Jim Neidhart, British Bulldog & Mankind D-Generation X brings in their proteges The New Age Outlaws and make a deal with Paul Bearer to bring in Kane to round out their team. The Hart Foundation seek out Mankind for their fifth, basically saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend type of deal. Mankind accepts just so he can get his hands on Kane. Kane gets the first elimination Chokeslamming Neidhart. Mankind gets into the ring and battles it out with Kane. Kane tombstones Mankind to get the pin. Mankind gets rolled out, but when he recovers, Kane and him continuing battling, getting Kane counted out. BUlldog powerslams Road Dogg to elminate him. Billy Gunn catches Bulldog off guard with the Rocker Dropper for the quick elimination. Owen sneaks in and school boys Billy Gunn celebrating to send him packing. The match boils down to the Hart Brothers against DX. Owen gets Michaels with the enzigiri kick, but HHH is legal, Pedigrees him to send Owen out. Michaels is out cold. Bret and Hunter battle, Bret eventually gets HHH to surrender to the Sharpshooter. Now it's Bret vs HBK. Bret thinks Michaels is out, but Shawn kips up and sneak attacks Bret after a small Hunter distraction. Now these two just brawl, all over the place. Much like the beginning of the real-time match. They re-enter the match. Both teams crew (minus Kane/Mankind) return to brawl around the ringside area. The crowd is insane, in the Chaos and confusion of it all, Chyna trips up Bret, causing him to lose his concentration for one second, turns around and eats Sweet Chin Music and HBK wins the contest. All 8-men brawl as every referee and official come in to break it up. The final moment is the Harts in the ring as DX and NAO are sent to the locker room by the officials. SOLE SURVIVOR: Shawn Michaels

Monday, February 6, 1984 Winchester, VA High School Single's Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit US Tag Team Champion, The Grappler #2 vs Mad Dog Vachon Tag team wrestlers breaking off in single's competition today. Time: 7:20 Decision: Grappler #2 Handicap Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit Kamala (w/ Skandor Akbar) vs Italian Stallion & Dusty Wolfe Just as you would expect here. Time: 7:57 Decision: Butcher Vachon Tag Team Match, One-Fall, 20-Minute Time Limit Ray Stevens & Pat Patterson vs The Moondogs This rivalry begins to get even hotter between these two teams. A little tease on TV during Patterson & Stevens' interview, but the Moondogs won't be anyone's stepping stones. They battle it out in the ring, going back and forth. Patterson & Stevens use some trickery and cheap tactics to get the Moondogs down for a pinfall. Time: 11:04 Decision: Pat Patterson & Ray Stevens INTERMISSION NWA Mid Atlantic Television Championship Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit Pedro Morales vs Terry Gordy © Fun title match to open the second half of our show here. The fiery Pedro Morales challenges the TV Champion, Terry Gordy. The strikes in this match are just brutal. Pedro throwing the head forearms. Terry landing some violent punches to the side of the head. Gordy gets Pedro down after some back and forth and works over his neck. Pedro tries to battle back, but he's really injured. Gordy lays in some nasty knees to the back of the neck. The crowd is hot at Gordy, they do not want to see him retain this title, but unfortunately for them, he does just that. The referee stops the bout after he slaps on a camel clutch style move. Pedro is in a lot of pain. Time: 11:43 Decision: Still TV Champion, Terry Gordy Eight-Man Tag Team Match, One-Fall, 20-Minute Time Limit Mr Fuji, Toru Tanaka, Tiger Chung Lee & Hiro Saito vs Lanny Poffo, Sivi Afi, Pierroth Jr. & Blue Demon Jr. Fuji stays on the outside of the ring for the majority of the match. He orders his troops around, and they listen fairly well. They get Afi into their corner and work him over pretty good. Each of the three men keep rotating in and out, keeping a fresh man in. After a few minutes of getting a beat down, Afi is able to counter an attack and roll over to his corner for the big tag into Lanny Poffo. As soon as the tag hits, it becomes a huge brawl. All eight men in the ring, battling it out. Fuji sneaks a cheap shot to the throat on Afi, sending him to the floor. Fuji digs into his tights, pulling out something, tossing it into Lanny's eyes, blinding him. Saito gives Poffo a standing side kick to send him to the ground, leaps into the air and drops down with a back splash for the big win. Time: 10:55 Decision: Mr. Fuji, Toru Tanaka, Tiger Chung Lee & Hiro Saito Tag Team Match, One-Fall, 15-Minute Time Limit Barry & Kendall Windham vs The Fabulous Freebirds (Hayes & Roberts) All three Freebirds are in the ring as the Windhams walk to the ring, but they are attacked at ringside by all three 'birds. They brawl for a moment, but Gordy and Hayes target Kendall and send him into the post. Then they grab a wooden chair at ringside and break it over the kids head. He's a bloody mess. The 'birds enter the ring, all happy with themselves. Barry checks on Kendall. The referee's come out and take Kendall to the back. Barry still wants to fight. Sam Houston comes out from the locker room and offers to take Kendall's spot. The Freebirds are hot. The referee agrees, but sends Gordy to the locker room. Gordy refuses, but the referee says either leave, or he is fined $5,000. Gordy is pissed, but leaves. The 4-men brawl all over the ring and ringside. The referee let's it go because of the earlier incident. All four-men return to the ring bleeding. They keep brawling. No tags, just a lot of brawling. They keep battling through a 15-minute time limit. The eventually just brawl to the back. Time: 15:00+ Decision: Time-Limit Draw Main Event Tag Team Match, One-Fall, 30-Minute Time Limit Ricky Steamboat & Terry Taylor vs US Champion, Randy Savage & NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair Wrestling at it's best here. Some brawling when Savage and Taylor are inside the ring against each other, but otherwise a pretty straight forward wrestling match. The champions get Taylor in their corner and hammer on his leg pretty bad. Savage targets the bandaged head a little bit, but the real focus in the leg. Flair even locks in the Figure-Four at one-point, but Steamboat makes the save. When Taylor gets the tag, Steamboat rocks the champions with fast offense. Steamboat is on fire, chops and various kicks to both men. Flair is the legal man, and falls to the mat after a dropkick. Savage enters the ring and Steamboat cuts him off, then Taylor fly’s across the ring, tackling Savage to the floor. Taylor's leg is really hurt still, so he can't get right back up. As Steamboat turns around, Flair knocks him out with some brass knuckles and gets the pinfall. The champs grab their belts and retreat to the locker room. Time: 27:42 Decision: World Champion, Ric Flair & US Champion, Randy Savage
