Butcher needs to grow his hair out again. He had a cool scuzzy 70s heel look to him when he first showed up in AEW (and it made a good contrast to Blade's look), but now he just looks like another tough, tattooed bald guy.

I get the feeling they'll be doing a spot with one of those letters. Really, I'm just happy WWE is acknowledging the number of Wrestlemanias again, as well as going back to Roman Numerals (Wrestlemanias are how I learned Roman numerals).
-
Yeah, considering it looks like we're going to get an Endgame type scenario here, Austin showing up would just be like having another player.

If you watch the full episode, the segments after (there's two more squashes after this segment) are really interesting as Jesse commentates the next match alone, then Vince comes out acting incredibly somber and low key and Jesse browbeats him for getting involved during the final match. They rarely had the commentary take a backseat to the main angle, at least not for that long.

This must be for the people who think that current matches in WWE or for that matter AEW are too long.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10114693-video-wwe-reveals-wwe-speed-championship-for-new-show-with-3-minute-matches-on-x Sounds like a pretty interesting premise. Not all that thrilled about it being exclusively on X though (hopefully they put it on Peacock eventually).

My fav Beefcake match is actually his match against Mr. Perfect at WM6. You could argue Curt was doing all the work, but it still was a highlight of the show (one wonders how the Summerslam match would have been if he wasnt injured).
-
While I know why they rarely do one night tournaments now (easier to promote the next show when you know which matches are going to be on there), I miss the drama that they used to provide, plus sometimes you'd get some interesting unique matches.

Personally, I think the Wyatt Family as a whole (not counting Danielson's stint of course) should be inducted.
-
Bad news for anyone expecting Bray Wyatt: https://itrwrestling.com/news/bray-wyatt-not-planned-for-2024-wwe-hall-of-fame-induction/

Thunderbolt Patterson is also going in. Huh, that's an odd choice as he's not really that well known to modern fans (guess this proves that HHH really is in charge of the HOF).
-
Muhammad Ali is going in. Considering his importance to wrestling it's long overdue (too bad that he's not alive to give the speech though).
-
I wonder if Heyman will be the headliner, or if that one is yet to be named.

Randy Orton's not happy about a recent viral video: https://itrwrestling.com/news/5-years-in-prison-wwes-randy-orton-blasts-viral-rko-video/

Bull Nakano was just announced on Twitter/X (I cant link to it though).

So apparently the DSOTR on Earthquake is also going to have a look at Shockmaster, despite not having anything to do with Tenta aside from Fred Ottman being his tag partner (but Tenta wasnt in WCW during the Shockmaster's run). There's a clip on X/Twitter of Haku watching the debut and laughing his head off.
-
That and the Kitao match which turned into a shoot. Tenta also suffered racism when he was a sumo wrestler, though without him being alive to talk about it I dont know how they'll discuss that (off-topic, but how many pro wrestlers started out as sumo wrestlers? There must be more than Tenta).
-
Earthquake will be the season premiere. Also, apparently RD Reynolds of Wrestlecrap (and a good friend of Quake) was interviewed for this episode, that should be interesting.
-
The documentary didnt discuss what he did for a job.
-
I'm still curious about what exact job Vladimir (WWE superfan) had that allowed him to go to all those WWF/E shows (he also showed up at WCW, ECW, and I think even AEW shows).

BTW, here's a ridiculously detailed vid on the Abrams UWF: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wydGy_XA5c

WWE TV - 2/12 - 2/15 - Shanahan Not The Wiseman We Thought He Was
JRH replied to Timbo Slice's topic in WWE
Going back to NXT for a minute, I wonder that when they go to CW they'll have some bigger names join them. Not just guys on the level of Corbin, but I'm talking about the likes of Miz, Bayley, maybe even Seth Rollins (once he loses his belt). They're going to be on a national tv network, cant just have guys who are pretty much unknown to the general public (granted, most current stars are unknown to the general public, but you see where I'm going with this). -
Buddy Landell, getting a WWF title shot, in 1996, on WWF Mania: One of only 5 matches Landell had in the WWF (the others were the squash against Ahmed at IYH 5, a win against Bob Holly the next night on RAW, beating Matt Hardy on that weekends Superstars, and a match against HHH on Shotgun in 1999.
