  1. It's even worse for the WoS guys now that Jones falls. We're looking at Breaks and probably only Breaks. i imagine Grey goes in the next 20. I can see Saint making the 100 too
  2. I assumed Karl's post was directed to Jackwebb
  3. My ballot took a big hit in the last 24 hours, with Davey Boy, Fiera, Henry, Necro, Ogawa, Sasaki and Psychosis all falling. 71 of my lads left, though the all-important top 23 is still standing
  4. La Fiera is a guy I'd never heard of before starting GWE and who I really discovered during the process. Shame to see him so low, but just happy I now know who he is and get to enjoy his matches.
  5. I think Dixie has proven to be as much of a hinderance to TNA as a help. Though her money has kept them afloat, she also is the reason that TNA couldn't be sold on (I believe that the rumour was she had to be included as part of the package of taking TNA on), and she's been involved in several business decisions that have cost TNA dearly (the e-mails to the Spike executives that cost them their slot on the channel) or made them look really bad (firing "job for life" Jesse Sorenson, who broke his neck in a TNA match). I will say that Dixie is far less of a detriment as a TV character though. Not only is she less grating, but she's seemingly far less afraid to look a fool.
  6. I don't know why, but Rampage Brown vs Pentagon Jr has been on my mind as a dream match for a while now. In WWE: Enzo & Cass vs Brock Lesnar & Mark Henry - would be the most enjoyable 2 minute squash I could imagine
  7. Yeah, I felt unsure when I first registered last July, but the "Everybody Should Submit A Ballot" thread reassured me. I worked on the principle that anyone able to discuss wrestling on here would know/care enough about wrestling to submit a ballot.
  8. Considering how much of her character depends on her lineage and being a third-generation wrestler, Nattie was really bad a few years back. She seemed really off (I remember the famous AJ match, where she dropped the Sharpshooter too early and stood like an idiot expecting the ref to raise her hand), and was getting overtaken by the likes of Alicia Fox or Layla. But you can sense the new emphasis on the division has fired her up and she's getting right back to being good again. The Roadblock match was one of the best matches on the show, and the Raw match was really good too. If what Loss said is true, and she's adding more strings to her bow, then good on her.
  9. My guys seems to be dropping like flies (18), and I'm the highest vote on 7 of them, which is a bit of a surprise. 24 - Kevin Von Erich (HV) - 258 39 - Fritz von Erich (HV) - 373 44 - Ernie Ladd (HV) - 251 46 - Jeff Jarrett (HV) - 243 67 - Super Delfin - 354 70 - Steve Veidor (HV) - 429 72 - Super Dragon - 228 73 - Tom Zenk (HV) - 472 76 - Doug Williams - 363 82 - Zack Sabre Jr (327) 86 - Pat Roach - 431 89 - The Barbarian - 393 90 - Batista - 241 91 - James Mason (HV) - 517 94 - Terry Taylor - 268 96 - Ikuto Hidaka - 446 97 - Adrian Street - 291 98 - Alex Shelley - 344
  10. 13 names down off my list, and I've been the high voter on 5 of them....but never the lone voter, which is reassuring. Was looking at my list last night, and genuinely thought it'd be a while before anyone else appeared as an honourable mention...thought Kevin von Erich would crack the top 200, but wasn't to be. The first guy down who I thought would do better.
  11. I think you can point to my favourite babyface revenge match of the decade (Payback 2013 where the virtuous Del Rio kicks the head off of the thieving Ziggler) to show Alberto does have some real nasty aggression when he needs it.
  12. I don't know if it officially a match or just a long brawl, but New Jack vs Vic Grimes from ECW Living Dangerously 2000 deserves mention, not only for the match itself, but it's legacy. It was your average New Jack brawl until both guys climbed a ricketty looking structure (neither being a small man) and stood awkwardly holding each other until the time came for both to fall off through a table...with Grimes landing on New Jack's head, leaving him temporarily blinded. Just looking at this structure, you knew that no good could come from trying anything up there, and the fact they decided to go up there anyway was totally bone-headed. Also, that lead to the XPW Freefall clusterfuck, where New Jack went into business for himself and (by his own admission) deliberately threw Grimes of a 30ft high scaffold in a manner designed to make him miss the stacks of tables in the ring. Grimes clipped a table on the way down and landed stomach first on the top rope, and quite honestly could've died. So not only did the PPV match stink, it led directly to an even worse match.
  13. I've loved seeing all the unusual and unique placings on the rundown. Firstly, because I agree with the sentiment that it's important to have as many different voices take part in this as possible. With such a large number of voters, there's always going to be a number of people with unconventional views, and I think that makes this a richer, more diverse list. With having such a big number of voters, the consensus view will largely gravitate towards the more "conventional" names at the top, so I someone wants to vote B-Boy at #23, and that's their honest view, then I think that's great. Also, it's made me feel more comfortable with my own list. Though I believe in every name on my ballot, I did kinda start to second-guess myself in the final weeks, especially on some of the positions that jarred with the regular view. Was I happy with Tom Zenk in my top 75? Should Super Delfin really be one spot higher than Kobashi? Is top 50 Jeff Jarrett too high? If I knew then what I know now about some positions, I still wouldn't change anything I've submitted (everyone is where they are based on my honest opinion), but I'd have felt more confident in the final stretches.
  14. British Kendo was nominated, just got no votes.
  15. Good to see 5 ballots for Doug Williams, esp as he was quite a late nomination. Be interesting to know how many of his voters were British - he's a guy I really appreciate in a live environment and he basically works everywhere in the UK. Hes as reliable working the imports in a dream match as he is working with a young guy and making him look good. High from on Fritz Von Erich, suspect he's not the last of his family I'll be high vote on
  16. I really want to see Mando's list at the end of this process. Between B-Boy at 23 and Kendrick at 9, he's certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons with his picks. He's not hiding behind the anonymous option though, he's owning those picks, so fair play.
  17. Good to see from the Norman Smiley photo that one of the Nasty Boys is represented on this list
  18. Not going to lie, that's one of my favourite sentences I've ever read
  19. Absolutely no shame. Mason rocks!
  20. Where did JvK have Low-Ki? Anyone remember? I'm just recalling this moment
  21. Based on his prediction, does this mean JvK will soon be rocking a Low-Ki avatar?
  22. Having seen the picture Grimmas chose for Tom Zenk, I'm really glad that I instead get to choose from the countless identical photos of my lowest-high vote James Mason (517)
  23. Yeah, I remember this being surprisingly fun. My main memory is that Jarrett worked FIP, pretty much because he's the only one able to take a few bumps, but that Animal was surprisingly good on offence. Seem to remember he hits a pretty nice sitout powerbomb. I also remember a Hawk dropkick that was barely knee-height. I'm sure someone else can confirm, but as I recall the Athena stripping was very much a shoot, and she really was trying desperately to hang onto her clothes.
  24. Kind of surprised that, with 5 guys from my list ranking so far, that Steve Veidor is going to end up 95th if I re-ordered my ballot to GWE positions. Partly because there's a few guys I would have assumed we'd have seen by now and partly because I thought he'd rank higher. Still, I'll wear my "High Voter For Steve Veidor" badge with pride Actually, with Veidor, Roach and Mason all ranking, I'm quite happy to be doing my thing for the old-school British guys

Having not watched Total Divas for a while, is Big E still romancing Nattie's sister? Because Tyson Kidd's face of disgust as they cavorted in his hot tub was my favourite TD moment
