  1. The fact WWE hasn’t called up Bayzler to feud with Becky is insane.
  2. Did Mauro just misquote Sweet Dreams?
  3. My god Mauro SHUT UP
  4. Roddy has been pretty damn great in this.
  5. Mauro keeps our doing himself on just terrible Lin’s today.
  6. Dream does a hell of a Sharpshooter too.
  7. As much as I love Dream, I would have preferred Roderick and Dunne just beating the shit out of each other in a singles match.
  8. Dunne seems to be rocking Finlay inspired gear and I approve.
  9. What?
  10. Roderick Strong is one of those guys who has quietly had an absolutely amazing career when you consider his classics with Danielson and Gibson we’re literally 15 years ago.
  11. If I had to guess, was probably planning on jumping Riddle at some point.
  12. Dain and Riddle just casually destroying security to get at each other is fun.
  13. Dain is a classic case of a wrestler I can’t imagine looking at and not having anything for on the main show.
  14. Candice LaRae might be the only wrestler I can remember that I always prefer in Intergender matches then wrestling their own gender and it’s weird.
  15. Io going evil will make her hated at Full Sale and probably pretty loved everywhere. Cause badass Io is much better then happy babyface Io.
  16. Ford might do the best Frog Splash ever. The height is just bonkers.
  17. “Right here in the home of the Maple Leafs........ Toronto of course” Mauro you suck.
  18. That Knee on Dawkins kicked ass. And also head.
  19. After going for the People’s Elbow. What a nerd.
  20. Live Event, August 7th, Macon, Georgia Kim Duk w/ Mr. Saito and Miss Doll defeats Leroy Brown w/ Ray Candy via Pinfall in 8:18 when he pinned him following a Double Underhook Suplex. “The Patriots” of Terry Daniels and James Wright defeat “The Devils Duo” of Jeff Sword and Doug Vines via Pinfall in 7:41 when Wright pinned Vines with a Back Suplex. Sword was distracted when his attempt to use the ring bell to his advantage was countered by Tim Horner making an appearance. Mr. Saito w/ Miss Doll defeats Tom Prichard via Pinfall in 17:03 after he hit him with a Saito Suplex. Prichard was distracted by Miss Doll seeming to be ready to swing her purse at him, but he was prepared, and grabbed the purse. However this left his back turned, and let Saito hit the Suplex to score the win. David Sammartino, Giant Haystacks, And Brutus Beefcake defeat The Great Kokina, Joe Lightfoot, And Jules Strongbow in 11:56 when Haystacks pinned Strongbow with an Elbow Drop. Rick Martel defeats Jose Lothario in 13:14 via Submission via Boston Crab Arn Anderson w/ Ole Anderson defeats Les Thornton via Pinfall in 19:16 by Pinfall when he Ole Anderson held Thornton’s feet down preventing a kick out. ”Hacksaw” Butch Reed defeats Hiro Saito w/ Miss Doll via Pinfall in 14:16 when he stopped Saito while he was on the top rope, then Press Slammed him off the turnbuckle. Mr. Saito made no appearances in this match. Main Event Ken Patera and Jerry Blackwell fought Bret Wayne Sawyer and Don Muraco w/ Gary Hart to a Double Disqualification in 16:32, when the referee got taken out during the fighting. Patera and Blackwell eventually gained a decisive advantage, and Patera had Muraco trapped in a Full Nelson when Harley Race made his way to ringside, leading to Patera and Blackwell retreating.
  21. Well that’s just bullshit. Davey in particular is much more a Japanese then US Indies influence. Or, even more so, Benoit. There isn’t really any comparison for either Black or Richards to Bryan other then “came to prominence after the other guy did.”
  22. I agree with that list of 10, but would also like to nominate Danielson vs. London from Epic Encounter, Danielson vs. Joe from Midnight Express Reunion, Bryan, Kane, and Orton vs. The Shield (The Shields first decisive loss), and Bryan vs. Wyatt from the Rumble.
  23. I’m a super low voter on Bret. I think he is very good but the WWF was, ironically enough, the perfect environment to play to his strengths and hide his weaknesses when he broke out. Which was funny because he was the opposite of what the F was about at the time, but that’s why it played in that time period. I’m not sure how many other top level babyface workers had Bret Hart’s lack of Fire imo. I think it’s a list of one. I’m not a giant Flair backer, but I also can’t dent his greatness isnFlairs greatness. Kawada and Taue over the current NJPW guys for me is easy, but I don’t dig current New Japan. Jumbo/Bryan is fascinating as Bryan is probably the only guy from the GWE Top 25 who actually has added to his resume in the last 3 years in any real way. And he was 5 on that. I remember in the GWE reactions the biggest flaw people had with Bryan’s WWE work is while a great heel in theory he couldn’t make the fans consistently boo him. Now not only did he come back out of retirement, turn heel and get over a heel, but he also made Kofi Kingston look like a complete champ while still having all of Kofis same limitations. I voted Bryan 2nd in 2016. If we did it again in 2019, he’d be my standing one. Jumbo is very good, but we are approaching 20 years of Daniel Bryan being exceptional doing just about any role asked of him. Misawa vs. Kobashi has been an argument that has went down enough that I don’t feel like retreading it.
  24. Live Event. August 5th, Marietta Georgia Jerry Blackwell w/ Ken Patera defeated James Wright in 5:02 with a Splash. Post Match, Blackwell grabbed a mic and declared “This one is for you Harley!”, followed by Ken Patera locking on the Full Nelson on Wright. Before permanent damage could be done, Don Muraco and Brett Wayne Sawyer ran down and ran off the duo. Brett Wayne Sawyer w/ Don Muraco defeats Swede Hanson via Pinfall in 9:48 with a Neckbreaker Giant Haystacks and Brutus Beefcake defeat Joe Lightfoot and Jules Strongbow in 6:11 when Haystacks pinned Lightfoot with an Elbow Drop. AWA Superstation Title Match David Sammartino defeats Terry Daniels by Pinfall in 9:57 with a Top Rope Crossbody. Tim Horner and The Italian Stallion defeat the Devils Duo of Sword and Vines via disqualification in 12:44 when Sword hit Horner with a Metal Chain Harley Race w/ Paul Ellering defeats Gladiator #1 in 6:24 with the Figure 4 Knee Drop. No word on why Ellering was with Race. Post Match, Patera and Blackwell came out, staring down Race. While this is going down, Sawyer and Muraco attacked Patera and Blackwell, and they brawled around ringside as Race watched before order was finally restored. ”The Ebony Express” of Ray Candy and Leroy Brown w/ “Hacksaw” Butch Reed defeat Hiro Saito and Kim Duk w/ Mr. Saito and Miss Doll in 11:16 when Brown pinned Saito with a Corner Avalanche. Post Match, Mr. Saito hit Butch Reed with Miss Dolls Purse, which was once more seemingly loaded. Main Event Rick Martel w/ Les Thornton and Arn Anderson w/ Ole Anderson went to a 45 minute time limit draw. Ole’s attempts to interfere were fended off by Thornton, who had seen all of his tricks.
  25. Have we talked about the fucking irony of Seth Rollins, Company Shill coming out to an intro led by “BURN IT DOWN” btw? Nothing worse then a Fake Rebel.
