  1. Of all the ridiculous things I thought this match could be, I wasn't expecting it be to boring and yet here we are.
  2. This is rubbish. Get to the bullshit please.
  3. Is it really a good idea of Shane's kids watch him leap to his death in front of a gigantic crowd?
  4. Match of the night by a million miles and then a baffling result yet again.
  5. That's the funny thing, Ambrose is meant to be the plucky underdog and yet Brock sells so much better than him.
  6. At least they're doing their best to make this match seem special with the new belt and the special gear and entrances. The best thing about them neglecting women's wrestling for so long is that there aren't really any 'legends' they can bring in to steal the spotlight.
  7. Him selling for the bloody fire extinguisher spot was just the worst.
  8. Ryder has been the most pushed current roster guy on this show so far.
  9. Roman Reigns really is so much better than Ambrose.
  10. Annnnd the New Day are afterthoughts.
  11. I have no idea why they are doing what they're doing with these results tonight.
  12. There is literally no rationale for that finish.
  13. Rugby? To me it's always been associated with football. Jericho seems spent out there. Time to take it home.
  14. Superkick should be retired.
  15. Replacing the Divas Championship with a Women's Championship I think. So the rumours have been all week anyway, so that would make sense.
  16. I tend to get grossed out by Flair and those types that would be dead in the water without the company and the cultish devotion they have to "the business" and "our industry," but I can see what you mean. Saying it was "just a job opportunity" goes a little far, it think. He got to have his career recognized by his family. He has a giant barn where he keeps all of his ring gear and memorabilia. He's obviously proud of what he's done and has good memories in the business. To me it goes like this:Cut Terry Funk or Flair on the arm and they'll bleed pro wrestling. If they didn't have it, they couldn't do anything else, it is so part and parcel of who they are. They gave their lives for the business and their life is the business. If Sting didn't have wrestling, he'd be doing something else. He's proud of his career, but he doesn't bleed pro wrestling. Good for him. He won't die in the ring at the age of 70 or anything stupid like that. Or piss away his money on multiple divorces trying to live a ridiculous lifestyle he should have left decades in the past. In terms of living a stable, healthy life, Sting's is probably the best approach to take. Though on the other hand it meant that he didn't veto that abomination of a match with HHH last year so swings and roundabouts....
  17. They signed him to be Shinsuke Nakamura, why would he suddenly drop all the mannerisms that he's gotten over with?

    NXT talk

Another problem with the NXT guys is that the NXT audience witnesses the growth of the characters and so grows more attached to them but when they're called up, the character is just directly transplanted to Raw with implied but unexplained backstory. For example, Bo Dallas was an over pushed babyface who the crowd turned on so he developed into the delusional faux-babyface who thought he was inspirational and didn't realise that everyone hated him. He NXT audience went on that journey with him but on Raw, he just started off as a version of that final character. That could be a bigger problem in the future, namely with Bayley. The reason she's so over is because of her character development over the last few years but I highly doubt 'smart' fans will accept a reset of that character to redo the journey for the wider audience. So she'll just appear on Raw as the complete character and the regular audience will miss out on a big part of the essence of the character.

That makes me think either Patterson or Jim Ross.

    WWE Roadblock

Considering the relative diversity of the NXT bunch overall, I think writing them all off as having no charisma or presence is short sighted. Just look at Bayley. Unless of course you're simply referring to the two teams here, in which case I'm not sure what more you expect from what are just solid midcard acts. As for Roman Reigns, he's got more charisma and is a better worker than Kevin Owens for sure. But simply blaming the fans for him not being over misses the obvious elephant in the room - there's absolutely no reason to support his character. He's soulless and passionless on interviews, seems to have no drive or fire when it comes to his motivations, has blown it in big matches time after time, is still living the ruminants of a stable gimmick that ended two years ago and was put into his position ahead of the guy that the entire fan base wanted more in Daniel Bryan. I happen to think that the guy is a really good worker who doesn't get the credit he deserves from the more myopic side of the internet but his onscreen portrayal has undermined him every step of the way. And the likes of Rose and Dallas were booked like shit upon their promotion to the main roster.

    "Political Hit"

Look at how they ended up "ruining" them eventually. No one ever talked about "political hit" when Brock was ruined by HHH, or when Rusev was completely wasted last year, we all chucked it up to incompetence. The problem isn't WWE not being able to create a star o create big moment, their problem for almost a decade has been sustaining something they were able to create. Reigns doesn't seem to be any sort of special case. I don't think anyone put the wasting of Brock in that first year or so down to incompetence. It was partially that, certainly on the part of Vince, but it was mainly a case of HHH egotism dominating the product. They had a hot, compelling character who essentially played the role of a generic monster heel as a cog in the wheel of a tale completely centred around the heroic warrior Hunter. And no one bought it. The incompetence in this case is Vince's for once again allowing HHH to devalue an important asset for no reason other than ego masturbation.

    "Political Hit"

They seemed to finally be getting on track when he beat up HHH at TLC and then won the title on Raw the next night but they stripped away all the fire and defiance he showed during those moments even though they were actually starting to get him over. Even if Vince was suffering from a crisis of confidence in the guy, you'd think he would realise what was working and sustain that for a few months just to have a good Wrestlemania. And it's pretty hard to deny that there's been a lot of egotism in how Hunter has been presented in all of this, and not the good kind that he showed in the build-up to the Bryan match.

    WWE TV 2/22 - 2/28/16

Thinking the same thing. Plus logic hole if Shane/Taker goes on before Reigns/HHH and Shane wins why would Hunter be able to wrestle later since theoretically he's out of power. I guess they could say that he's still under contract as a wrestler but it's primo Swiss cheese booking Eh, I guess it could just be spun that Shane would want to get the belt off of him legitimately.

Dave said that they wanted to stack the deck against Roman and asked Batista, but he refused. My bet is Shawn. Him getting a home state pop and doing crotch chops with Hunter would really put the political hit stuff overboard.
  25. Shane McMahon vs Undertaker Hell in a Cell for control of the company. Seriously.
