Chris Jericho was in no way a main event act for WWE between 2013 and whenever he left. Doing shit like that is what helped make him into a comedy sideshow while other people from his era got to be the part time Mania payday guys. There's a place for silly stuff with him because of his quick wit and ridiculous character but too much and he loses his dangerous edge.

I just assumed the ropes and stuff were pretty slippy because of the sweat and humidity as opposed to being too tight. Daily's Place being an outdoor venue is a blessing and a curse for them in that they can get some fans in but the wresters are going to suffer in the heat.

Isn't Cardona on a limited appearance deal? I think he's maybe got one more left, in which case they should feed him to Brodie and send him packing. Brodie running through Dustin this week and Cardona the next is a nice way to tee up Cody coming back. I think they need to reboot a few things coming out of this show. I think Jericho needs to step back from TV for a couple of weeks and rediscover the serious edge he had when he was champion. Orange Cassidy is a fun little midcard act but he has no business in the semi-main of a PPV going over Chris Jericho. You're doing more to diminish Jericho than you are to push Cassidy because that gimmick has a pretty obvious ceiling. Jericho is getting a little too enamoured with the idea that he can get anyone over and elevate them to main event status. That's all well and good when it's the right person but he needs to remember that he needs to keep on presenting himself as a star and as a serious threat. They need to pull the trigger on the Kenny and Bucks heel turn on Hangman this week as well. Get things moving again because the last PPV cycle has been their weakest thus far; some storylines were allowed to get a bit too stale and too much goofiness has crept in again. Khan needs to take the reigns again and they need to get Cody back in the room. And Matt Hardy does not need to wrestle ever again. I feel bad for the guy getting so badly hurt but he shouldn't even be doing matches let alone insane bumps like that. And what's worse is that if the bump went off ok, they would have moved on to the next spot and we wouldn't have even remembered but by half way through the next match. Gigantic risk for fuck all reward. Mox vs Archer will be something good to build towards though.

All the actual wrestling has been good and the dumb gimmicks have been a mess. This should be a lesson for them.

The president thing would have been fine for a one week gimmick with a couple of skits until he got the match. Then Mox tell him he needs to get serious so MJF does that beatdown two or three weeks earlier. Couple of good promos and a pull apart on the go home and it would all have been fine. They over complicated what should have been a simple storyline about two unbeaten guys fighting for the belt. There aren't many matches on the show that stand out as potentially being really great but I'm looking forward to the stories progressing because I think they're about ready to change things up a bit and pull the V-trigger on the next stage of the Omega and Page angle.

It's character development for FTR to slowly get them over as heels as opposed to being 'aren't we so evil' caricatures, as well as putting off an FTR vs The Bucks match until later. It gave a solid reason for The Elite to actually break up and they're setting up Page as insecure etc. so that he has adversity to overcome. He's going to eat the pin on Saturday and then Kenny is going to turn on him and he'll be at his lowest point. And then they'll do the slow build to him going over Kenny for the belt at All Out 2021 or whatever.

I don't see what's confusing about it. FTR came in pretending to be friends with everyone, worked Page into screwing the Bucks last week, have got him isolated from his partner and kicked out of his stable and then they showed they were using him the whole time.

Have to say, I'm uncomfortable with some of this. I'm just seeing lots of these tweets that are lists of names with no links to any statements, screenshots or pictures etc. That's not to diminish the accusations we've actually seen today but the list stuff seems very Chinese whispers.

Well some reports seem to suggest that the rest of the show went out live and the main event was the only prerecorded match. I couldn't swear to it but I definitely noticed a couple of little moments where it looked like some editing had been done. The most obvious was Orton's cut, which I think may have been cleaned up at some point.

This is Pro Wrestling Only and we're saying we shouldn't dissect shit now? Savage and Steamboat still had to nail their spots with one take and get their match over to the live audience. It's a completely different thing. I'm not trying to take away from anyone's enjoyment but you can't really judge this like a normal match because it wasn't carried out like one. This was more like a wrestling match from a movie or something.

Tbf, any competent wrestler could be made to look like an all time great if they got to do multiple takes of their spots and had crowd heat piped in for them
