Yeah, they aren't booking this match for TV four weeks out and then doing a bullshit finish. That sort of shit is why no one on earth trusts WWE booking anymore. Khan is smarter than that.

It's great for the company to have a host of guys that are recognised as 'AEW guys' as well. It really feels like things are firing on all cylinders for them right now.

I don't really get this. Why would growing New Japan's business and establishing AEW be icing on the cake when they would form the main basis of a case for anyone else? Why can't people look at the numbers and appraise him for that even if they're lower on his matches than the general consensus? Okada is coming on the ballot next year and his business record means even the people who insist he's Japanese Randy Orton should objectively be voting for him.

Lots of the women they used on Dark last night stunk. I like that rapping tag team though. Don't know much about them but both guys are attractive and charismatic. If they can work too, they're worth pushing. Sydal also showing why they signed him by having a nice ten minute match with Angels from Dark Order, who is like 22 I think. Having experienced, TV level performers being able to give guys like that reps in the ring is invaluable to development.

Sydal works on Dark most weeks and occasionally appears on Dynamite as a JTTS. Completely inoffensive signing and probably has a decent value as an experienced guy to guide the youngsters through matches on Dark.

So lame that they did this without a crowd. That's what he gets for not leaving well enough alone after the Reigns match. Vince looked horrendous. Like a bad waxwork. Or Eric in the mask during Billy and Chuck's wedding.

I really don't think they should sign everyone who leaves WWE or anything but I honestly think he would rule in AEW as a top heel against The Elite.

The issue here is that the PPV has less stakes than a vegan BBQ. None of these matches matter at all so even if it does overdeliver, it's just a night of good wrestling. At the end of the night, there isn't even anything to build from for them to fuck up.

Joey Janela shows up once in a blue moon and is in a jobber tag team. Marko Stunt is third banana in a lower card trios act. Hybrid2 and Luther barely make it off of Dark. Kip Sabian again only makes TV once in a blue moon. Private Party are young guys who they clearly think have a future. And Super Smash Bros are just a team in a stable. The only act here I would consider to be overpushed is Best Friends, and even then Trent is a decent worker with good size and Orange Cassidy is relatively popular. None of these people are essential to the shows and I don't see how it makes them look incredibly indy to have these people appear on TV every third or fourth week when genuine stars like Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes are in the top angles. I think they'd look much worse if they were booking Rhino, Ken Shamrock and the Good Brothers on TV. TNA-riffic. These are not people a new promotion should be putting on television in 2020/21. Brian Pillman Jr. stinks and Sami Callihan looks every bit the sleezy indy geek that Janela does. The only people on that list who are particularly enticing to me are Dragon Lee, Jacob Fatu and Tom Lawlor and none of that group would be roster fodder. They would all be coming in looking for a significant push and probably squashing the likes of Janela, Stunt and Sabian in week one.
