HHH should really make beard vs beard matches the signature blow off gimmick for shows in his orbit.

That is true and that's the curse of the monopoly. If people going back and forth between WWE and AEW becomes normalised, I think that'll be a good thing. I can't imagine Vince accepting that however. Some sort of off-season and a distinct identity between their brands would have done a lot for someone like Orton. If you only see him for 8 months of the year and him switching to a different show would have major implications for how he would be presented, that would have kept him fresh for longer. As well as smaller things like changing up his gear and his music every few years. And his signature spots. I think there's probably still a way for them to bring in people like a Nakamura or a Matt Riddle and shoot them to the top instead of wasting time in NXT, which has become as much of a curse as it was a blessing. That would give the main roster a bit more buzz without necessarily having to push 20 year olds who are green. But yeah, more male sex symbols who are acknowledged as such would help for sure. I remember a good few months back Dave suggesting that they should operate their multitude of brands like a super fluid territory system where Undisputed Era could go up to Raw to work a three month storyline and then go back to NXT once it's blown off etc. That would be quite interesting but it would take more organisational skills and attention to detail than they're capable of. Honestly, WWE is broken on such a fundamental level that all of these things are just triage.

I dislike how cinematic is being used with regards to this match tbh. Other than one or two minutes of Matt Hardy bs, the match was filmed like any other wrestling brawl would be filmed. To me, that makes it distinct from the highly stylised production of the Boneyard and the Funhouse at Mania.

Is Charlotte Flair the most overpushed WWE wrestler of the century?
FMKK replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
To me, that was a choice to cool off a potential megastar so they could have two nice little WWE stars instead. Of course, the rot had already set in with the Becky push when it became all about Stephanie McMahon and HHH and then Vince and a worked injury and getting arrested etc. instead of building up to the match that was naturally over with the fans. -
I think an underrated aspect of WWE not drawing a younger audience is not having younger stars either. Obviously there are a million other factors but a show full of 40 year olds that's watched by 50 year olds is not cool. And no one comes in as an exciting new commodity because they piss around in NXT for years before they ever make it onto Raw. I can't imagine there being much excitement about a Gargano or whoever getting called up because he's already been overexposed as fuck. The one exception to that route is AJ Styles and he's the one who's gotten the furthest out of anyone they've signed in the last five years. Maybe that should tell us something about NXT. Having younger guys who are hot does way more to draw women than pushed female wrestling imo (although there was probably a way to cultivate a larger female audience to watch for the women's matches if they hadn't have gone so heavy handed with the corporate branding)

According to Dave, they're doing Fighter Fest again and it was originally slated to be their debut in London. Sucks cause I definitely would have made it to that show but obviously they're staying put in Jacksonville.

She's been doing all the shows for a while now. I presume Roberts might have an underlying health condition or something so he's staying home.

Someone else got more over than her. To me, she just had to suck it up. -

Maybe they'll go ahead with NXT Japan by sending her over there to beat Kobashi's old ass -

Also, Nattie gets battered on Raw and is now fighting for a title match while Shanya is what, busy washing her hair or so? Why would anyone watch this company? -
I didn't realise you were Something Savage as well. Unless you're getting offended and having a go at me on his behalf, which doesn't vibe with the 'these snowflakes and their safe spaces' BS tbh.

Seth Rollins sucks but I'm sure he cares about his wife and child despite being someone we don't like seeing on TV

Yeah, it used to be the four horsewomen and everybody else but now its Charlotte & Becky >>>>>> Sasha, Bayley & Asuka > Nia Jax >>>> Everybody else. Such a huge gulf has opened between those top two and the rest that it seems like slumming it when they're in a feud with anyone outside of that core group rather than feeling like an elevation for the opponent. They used to push Bliss very hard to the point that it seemed like she was the female star of whatever brand she was on but she's been way deemphasised. Carmella was pushed for a while and now is nothing (tbf, she sucks so I get it), Nia was obviously out injured, Shayna's push has been stop and start as has Lacey Evans and Asuka can never recapture what she had when she was undefeated. The importance of the women in general went off a cliff once Ronda left really. Even not having the Bellas around seems like a loss to the division. There was a brief period during the split PPV years that Smackdown shows would have three built women's feuds at a time but for a while barely anything outside the title matches has existed so the gap between the top two and the rest has gotten bigger and bigger. I guess that isn't much different for the men but at least slots and programmes exist outside of whatever the world champion is doing. -
Tbf, I think the whole 'Blue Lives Matter' shit coming in the wake of Black Lives Matter, a protest about police shooting and killing innocent black people for the crime of existing and never really being punished for it is not so benign. I know this is PWO and whatever so I'll leave it there.

Some dork shirt where Trump and Pence are aiming guns in the manner of Travolta and Sam Jackson in Pulp Fiction. More embarrassing than offensive really.

Is Charlotte Flair the most overpushed WWE wrestler of the century?
FMKK replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Yeah, Charlotte never has any actual storylines or feuds. She just kind of floats around between title matches and will randomly pick up a title for a couple of weeks or even a couple of days just so they can push her towards getting 16 even though no one on earth will think that somehow makes her equivalent to Ric. She was far better as an out and out heel when she had Ric or Dana Brooke as her second. I don't have any problem with her being pushed as a star per se but it's done in the most uninteresting way possible. -

Randy Orton? Baron Corbin? Seth Rollins? There are quite a few contenders. -
I know people talk about Brie being a factor in Bryan resigning with WWE but maybe the Bellas are better off cutting ties at this point as well. They've got as much as they can get out of them and have like three or four business ventures on the go. I guess WWE still has a hand in the reality show but if it does good ratings, I'm sure someone would pick up a spin-off that the company doesn't have a stake in.

Tbh, I think Henry is the moron. He always shills for the company online in a way that's kind of embarrassing. Just because he's had a nice career doesn't mean there's no racism in the company. Look at how minority characters have been portrayed and talked about over the years. And wasn't Henry pressuring Martha Hart for not giving permission for Owen to go into their dopey Hall of Fame? Rush might be an idiot at times but I don't think Henry thinks much outside of the WWE bubble.

Gulak is unlucky. If his contract was coming up in like January they'd have thrown mid six figures at him.
