Yeah, Mickie is still really strong in-ring nowadays. It would be interesting to see if Trish was willing to have a couple of one-off matches with some of the current women. The improvements she made during her own career, along with the limitations women were under at the time, make it an interesting 'what if?' as to how far she could've gone as a worker. It would obviously be difficult to expect something really high end out of her but she looked good in her spots at the Rumble so why not run Trish vs Sasha at Summerslam or whatever?
-
Ehh... Am I the only one who considers Trish wildly overrated? There were at least a 5-6 other women during her era who were better than she was IMO, and that's in WWE alone. In the WWE narrative she was the respectable ace of women's wrestling from before the current era and the one (along with Lita) who all the women now looked up to. So even if you don't think she was the best worker or whatever she fulfils a certain role in WWE's presentation on their history.

IIRC there was a decent Jericho TV match on Raw (voted worst show) against Reigns (voted second most overrated) so perhaps those voters are arguing that Jericho performed some sort of miracle in that match? Or he turned up in New Japan so he's automatically better than anyone in WWE except AJ.
-
People voting on Meltzer/Alvarez talking points without actually watching the things they're voting on. Smackdown as a better show than Raw and Jericho as a top ten worker in the world in 2017 is hilarious. Did Jericho even work a match after May?
-
I think they'll somehow make it anyway, even with a bit of papering.
-
Should've just named the damn battle royal after Chyna ffs
-
The Owens/Zayn beatdown on Shane was great but I couldn't help but laugh at Shane selling the powerbomb like a pig in heat
-
Nah, he's from Romeo. Grew up on six acres and had horses. Dude is fucking wack and everyone in the city proper has always known it. I was laughing at the thought of him growing up in a city and doing a fake cowboy gimmick to get over with the country people. It might be even more sad that hes claiming Detroit Cowboy as a nickname when hes from some farm way up the road.

It's a damning indictment, not only of her behaviour being enabled forever and apologised for even now, but also of the fact that women have been treated so historically poorly and presented unseriously onscreen that there isn't a more appropriate person to name the thing after.
-
Dying at them naming a women's battle royal after Moolah ffs
-
Jericho even mentioning NJ on twitter could as easily be him working an angle as it is a shoot comment
-
They may struggle for proper headliners in the future but there's a ton of midcard guys they can use to fill out spots. I'd guess we'll get Undertaker next year and I'm sure HHH in the near future as well. Maybe even Shane as a headliner when his current TV run winds up.
-
John Cena burying the Undertaker really is something. They never let anyone expose Taker like that.
-
Kid Rock is from fucking Detroit? What a blemish on the musical legacy of that city.
-
Hope we see more of Roman tonight despite suspension. Strong promo and segment again from him.

Having only tangentially followed along with this through a couple of podcasts and the Facebook group, Id love to hear you and a couple of others expand your thoughts on the results/talk through your own ballots

Mania is tied up right now, but if they don't figure out what to do with him after the draft, then it's safe to say we've seen Rusev's ceiling. Which is crazy because when you think about, everything he touches becomes better. Aiden English was one of a dozen guys who shows up on Smackdown once every six weeks. Now he's on TV every week and his segments are usually the best part of the show. Jinder Mahal went from losing to Curt f'ing Hawkins on Main Event to World Champion. Who was he associated with in between? Summer Rae's best work on the main roster was with Rusev. Look at the difference between Lana with Rusev and Lana without Rusev. And probably others I'm forgetting... He's the Midas of WWE. It's criminal that we haven't had a 15-20 minute Rusev vs AJ Style match, especially when both were saddled with lots of shit in 2017
-
I thought it was good showcase for both men and was potentially the most over match of the show, at least until the main. There really is no excuse for Rusev not to have been the top heel on Smackdown for the last year though.
-
It's mildly amazing to me that Braun hasn't had some of that treatment tbh.

This seems like a mature and evolved critique

Id probably keep Asuka undefeated until Ember Moon debuts and beats her for the Womens belt. Asuka undefeated from Mania till next years Mania would be better. Would that not be pushing Asuka down our throat..? 🤔
-
This needed to end five minutes ago
-
Also, I find Roode's dumpy little legs very disconcerting. They seem too short for his body.
-
This match has been basically nothing for ten minutes
-
Didn't see that as the carry job others have pimped it as tbh. Rusev was really engaging character-wise but I thought Nak held up his end and took a huge bump for the superkick.
