Curt Hennig vs Bret Hart! Sign me up.

Again, the leadup to Superclash gives us a great week of TV. Enjoying all the chaos surrounding the Lawler/Brown feud! Dream Machine might deserve Jobber to the Stars award as he is putting on a good show trying to convince anyone that he could win. Enjoyed how Brenda took on such great role in this Million Dollar Match That main event hyped up so many angles... great booking.

Enjoying these short introductions. It seems like you have everything in ordee.

Mid-South releases Dark Journey

Enjoyed the variety of matches on this card as it had something for everyone. While it is not my favorite type of match, the first match really hooked all the ECW type fans and then we get so many stipulations to other matches that they have added importance. Such great names throughout the card with so many angles developing. Very good booking. Also, nice job of keeping your stars strong even in defeat like the DQ win by Steamboat over Reed.

BATTLE OF THE BAYOU MID-SOUTH VS UWF Jake “The Snake Roberts” with Paul Ellering defeats Mike Rotundo with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie as he caught Rotundo with a DDT in a moment of chaos as Paul Ellering was chasing The Sheik in and out of the ring for trying to trip Roberts. After the match, the Sheik, still running from Ellering walked right into a DDT of his own. 6 MAN TAG TEAM TORNADO ELIMINATION MATCH Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy & Tom Prichard defeated Eddie Gilbert, Rick Steiner & Brian Adams with Missy Hyatt in a crazy bout. Brian Adams was the first man eliminated as he was caught with a running bulldog by Michael Hayes. It took Adams a few minutes to recovery enough to get out of the ring and everyone had turned their attention back to the fight. Hayes and Gordy were double teaming Rick Steiner when Adams caught Hayes with a superkick on the way out of the ring. Terry Gordy lost focus and went right after Adams. Rick Steiner took this as an opportunity to catch Michael Hayes with a German Suplex causing the elimination of Hayes. Missy Hyatt saw this as her opportunity to get involved. She opened her purse, pulled out the perfume and sprayed Terry Gordy right in the eyes as he rounded the ring corner in pursuit of Adams. Adams and Hyatt then rolled Gordy back in the ring where he was also caught with the German Suplex for the pin. We were then left with Eddie Gilbert and Rick Steiner vs Dr. Tom Prichard. Steiner and Gilbert were celebrating when Tom Prichard rushed the duo. Eddie Gilbert pulled Steiner in front of him and Prichard hit Rick with a running knee to the back. Steiner fell face first into the ring post and down he went. Gilbert saw Prichard turn towards him and he exited the ring. Prichard hoisted Steiner up and caught him with the powerbomb. That left us with Prichard vs Gilbert and back and forth we went. Finally, Missy Hyatt tried the same gimmick she did earlier. As she goes to spray Prichard in the eyes, Prichard escapes and she accidently sprayed Eddie instead. Missy was in shock as Prichard grabs her. Prichard lays a giant wet kiss on her and then releases her. Missy stumbles to the floor as Prichard simply comes up from behind Gilbert and hits him with a powerbomb for the win! TV TITLE MATCH Hacksaw Jim Duggan © defeats Tully Blanchard with a football tackle after the ref grabbed Tully’s hand as he was about to clobber Hacksaw with an illegal object. LOUISIANA TITLE MATCH Junkyard Dog © vs Vader with Woman JYD survived this brawl after it looked like Vader had the win after a huge lariat but JYD kicked out at the last second. JYD started getting the momentum back and no matter what Vader did, it looked like mosquitos biting JYD. In an amazing ending, JYD summoned the power to connect with the Big Thump. NORTH AMERICAN TITLE MATCH Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie defeated Ron Garvin with a punch with the loaded black glove. Both wrestlers had hyped up this match by pointing out how lethal their punches were. During the match, it seemed like Garvin had won this debate after catching the champ with a big “Hands of Stone” right hand but Sheik pulled Dibiase to safety. This is when Dibiase was able to load up the black glove and when Garvin came to meet him on the apron, Garvin was hit by the punch that turned off his lights. UNIFICATION MATCH UWF TAG CHAMPS VS MID-SOUTH TAG CHAMPS Scott Steiner & Hercules Hernandez defeated Mighty Goliath & Nord “The Barbarian” with Colonel Buck Robley in a match that saw the 4 big men go back and forth. The problem for Robley’s team was that Mighty Goliath’s size proved to be a detriment. Once he was taken off his feet, the technical skill of Steiner and the power of Hercules made it nearly impossible for him to get up. It was like the opposite of those face in peril matches we are used to seeing. Nord and Robley did their best to interfere, but the ref kept forcing them out. In the end we saw a nasty double-team move as Hercules held Goliath down and Steiner hit a top rope double leg drop across the neck of Goliath. Steiner and Hercules remain the tag team champs but we will have to wait until after the main event to see what title they hold. UNIFICATION MATCH UWF CHAMP VS MID-SOUTH CHAMP Lex Luger with Woman vs Dr. Death Steve Williams Back and forth we go. Momentum change after momentum change. Big move after big move. Near pin after near pin. After about 30 minutes of all out war, we see Woman up on the apron screaming at the ref. He is arguing back and forth with her as the crowd is stirring. Here comes Wahoo McDaniel and Ivan Koloff. Wahoo walks right to where Woman is standing and jumps up on the apron and seems like he is going to enter the ring. The ref is forcing him out and Wahoo is arguing. WHAM… on the other side of the ring, without the ref seeing, Ivan entered the ring, with the Russian chain wrapped around his hand and clobbered Dr. Death. Ivan simply leaves the ring and heads to the locker room. Wahoo sees that the job is done and also leaves the ring and joins Ivan. Woman, unsure of what happened, isn’t one to look a gift horse in the mouth, also jumps down. The ref turns to see Lex Luger whipping a bloodied Dr. Death into the ropes and connecting with a huge clothesline. 1…2...3! Lex Luger remains the heavyweight champion, but like Steiner and Hercules, we are going to have to see which belt they are going to wear. MAIN EVENT Lumberjack Match (For the WTBS TV Contract & control of Louisiana Wrestling) “Cowboy” Bill Watts vs “The Big Cat” Ernie Ladd A shoot fight if there ever has been one. If the hatred between Watts and Ladd wasn’t enough, the ring was surrounded by about 20 wrestlers who hated at least one of the men in the match. Nothing here resembles wrestling. There is fighting in the ring and out of the ring. All the wrestlers who competed earlier seemed to continue their battles with their opponents. Dr. Death is doing his best to get even with Ivan Koloff. JYD and Wahoo picked up where they left off after Halloween Havoc. Freebirds and Hot Stuff Inc. took turns punching and kicking each other. Right down the line, there was carnage. Every time Watts and Ladd toppled out of the ring, it was like the “lumberjacks” were upset that their fights were interrupted. The only one that was excited to get involved in the actual match was Tully Blanchard. He seemed to relish in attacking Watts every chance he got, and it seemed like Ernie Ladd picked up on this. In the end, brawls were all over the arena, but Tully stayed out of the fray. Tully slowly climbed up on the apron. Nobody noticed. When he entered the ring, the ref looked at him but could do nothing about it as it was a no DQ match. Watts was busy throwing elbows at Ladd when Tully came up from behind and delivered a devasting kick to the groin. Watts goes down. Tully signals to Ladd to help him but The Big Cat just looks at him. Next, Tully scoops up Watts and hits a slingshot suplex. Watts is basically done as Tully exits the ring. Ladd, satisfied he did nothing wrong, props Watts up in the corner. WHAM… Running Big Boot by Ladd on Watts. 1…2…3! Ernie Ladd has won the bout and is in control of Louisiana Wrestling and WTBS! As the bell sounds over and over again, the brawls on the outside slowly subside as people notice the match is over! You can almost see their expressions change. They quickly went from fighting mode to people deep in thought. It was like they all were wondering if they still had a job! Mid-South Revolution Wrestling has survived. UWF is no longer. Which wrestlers will make the cut? What happens to Bill Watts? Join us in 1988 to find out!

Really good promo for FCW! It seems you are really in your comfort zone here! Welcome to our game and enjoy! Can't wait to read all of your shows.

That last WCW TV event had some awesome matches. Nice job of building up interest with the Tyree Pride-Ligtfoot feud. Normally, these two would be stuck in the middle of the card without a lot of hype but you have found a way to way it more important. Good job! Also, I am all in on your DeBeers angle! A win over Street increased the heat he is getting. Good booking!

Not sure Houston would enjoy the rematch against Medusa.
-
Nice job introducing the many new faces coming to PCW in 1988.

Another great preview show with all the angles coming together for Superclash. I give you credit for making Nikita a babyface. I know it is historically accurate but I still think it is hard to do. It is so easy to make the Russian heel story work but the much harder to write the other way around. Great job. Very interesting tag match with the Road Warriors vs The Bruise Brothers. I think the winner here will control the AWA tag division for a while. You have always done a great job of developing the midcard feuds but I think the Gerry Morrow thing is your best work. You have made Morrow vs Blackwell into Must-See-TV! The AWA is ending 87 with a bang!

Mid-South wrestlers are good to go right away. Enjoy. Looking forward to your first show.

Great main event. Does Medusa's injury open the door for Velvet or Moretti to get in the ring next with Richter? Maybe the injury isn't to serious and she will be back quick. I like when wrestling shows end with a lot of questions. It is like a soap opera for men! I also liked all the even matches on this card that made it hard to know the winner before the bout. Kai vs Vachon, Singh vs Martin and Combs vs Simmes were all great matches that the fans would have been watching intently. Great show!

I enjoyed this format. We all seem to have our own individual way of moving our angles along. Some do long match descriptions. Some do mostly promos. Some do a combo with weekly TV shows. You are using your house shows to get that done. We see the hierarchy of your tag division. We see who your monsters heels are and we also get the push toward the next big card all in a nice simple format. I have a feeling that Garvin might be in for a long day against Bam Bam. Bigelow seems to be one of the stars for the WC going forward.

One of my favorite weeks in the NWA yet! I am a little disappointed that the Buffalo Soldiers won't get a chance to develop in the NWA Great promo between Flair and Landel.... this match at Chaos has huge ramifications. Landel also showed how easy it might be to take that title in the main event where he used the brass knucks!! Big debut from SSM... He will be a force! Really excited for Bruiser Brody-Stan Hansen part 2

Enjoying these little teases. Looking forward to OCW in 88

I would like to welcome JP to our game. He will be taking over the Florida Championship Wrestling. His roster is set and free agency is now open. Good luck and have fun JP. Any questions you have, please ask.

Great preview to SuperClash! I loved Keirn under the mask! This match with Idol will be awesome! Also think the creativity with the Million Dollar Match has been so well done! Great booking El Canek rushing in reminds me of how Colon was when he was a babyface for you the first time. He always seemed to go right after the big heels. Now El Canek and the lead pipe after Gamma ... Awesome. As is all the work you have put into Colon vs Abudda. Lawler vs BBB... very interested to see which way you go. Is it Lawler a la Memphis or Lawler a la AWA meaning does Lawler keep getting the title back or is he going to be a huge star in a huge feud that doesn't need a title to support it. You have done both so well and just can't wait to see which one is next. Have a bad feeling for Dream Machine! Looking forward to finding out all the answers at Superclash!

Free agency is closed as we set up a new roster

FALL-OUT FROM WRESTLECADE 1. Enough is Enough The feud between Ernie Ladd and Bill Watts is out of control. In the past week, both men have physically attacked the other. Blood has been drawn. It seems Ernie Ladd actually paid a gang, the Cartel, to take Watts out. Security guards have been called in twice. The police are investigating. While this seems to be good for the wrestling fans in Louisiana, it is actually hurting the national audience of WTBS. It seems that fans have chosen sides. Those who like Cowboy Bill Watts tune into UWF Wrestling but not Mid-South Wrestling while those who side with Ernie Ladd do just the opposite. What is the solution? 2. The Solution- The Battle of the Bayou It seems like Ted Turner is feed up with Bill Watts and Ernie Ladd and called each to his offices in Atlanta this week for a little heart to heart. Ted Turner informed both promoters that Superstation 17 would only be carrying one of their territories beginning in 1988. This upset both Ladd and Watts as they know that a national cable station is the cash cow. Turner informed them that he has been in contact with other promotions and that if they turned down his offer, he would go elsewhere to provide their viewers with weekly wrestling shows on WTBS. Before they even heard his stipulations, Watts and Ladd agreed to whatever idea he had. Ted Turner’s offer was simple… an inter-promotional show, The Battle of the Bayou, to air on December 17rd on WTBS. Whichever promotion wins the main event, gets the TV contract while the losing promotion agrees not to promote wrestling in Louisiana or Texas ever again without the other’s consent. Both men, took a deep breath and realized they had no other option and agreed. 3. Battle of the Bayou Jake “The Snake Roberts” with Paul Ellering vs Mike Rotundo with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie 6 MAN TAG TEAM TORNADO ELIMINATION MATCH Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy & Tom Prichard vs Eddie Gilbert, Rick Steiner & Brian Adams with Missy Hyatt TV TITLE MATCH Hacksaw Jim Duggan © vs Tully Blanchard LOUISIANA TITLE MATCH Junkyard Dog © vs Vader with Woman NORTH AMERICAN TITLE MATCH Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie vs Ron Garvin UNIFICATION TITLE MATCH UWF TAG CHAMPS VS MID-SOUTH TAG CHAMPS Scott Steiner & Hercules Hernandez vs Mighty Goliath & Nord “The Barbarian” UNIFICATION TITLE MATCH UWF CHAMP VS MID-SOUTH CHAMP Lex Luger with Woman vs Dr. Death Steve Williams MAIN EVENT Lumberjack Match (For the WTBS TV Contract & control of Louisiana Wrestling) “Cowboy” Bill Watts vs “The Big Cat” Ernie Ladd 4. The fate of the Cartel is sealed…. The Cartel has been arrested. While they are claiming that Ernie Ladd paid them to attack Bill Watts, there is no evidence of this. Ted Turner added a stipulation to his offer. In order for the UWF and Mid-South Revolution to participate in The Battle of the Bayou to have a chance at the WTBS TV contract, both Watts and Ladd must agree to end their relationship with El Jefe, Taz, Koonan, and TNT. Both promoters quickly signed off on this stipulation and, if the Cartel is able to survive their legal issues, they will be looking elsewhere for employment.

Trying to get a little ahead of all the upcoming transactions... Mid South sends Taz, Savio Vega, Moondog Rex, Koonan, Jose Estrada, Muta and Warrior to Windy City for future consideration

Mid-South adds Pez Whatley

Great event with some very good booking. With all the extra stipulations, each match took on extra meaning. I think you are doing an awesome job of building DeBeers and again, he comes out and makes a statement. Boyd and DeBeers make a great pair. I was very interesting in what you were going to do with Hansen and Brody. I like this outcome as we have a chance to see more of it. Flair is the Real Nature Boy! Smart move

Good point. I will make that clear on the roster page.
