  1. Mr. Watts challenges the NWA to WrestleWar in March to decide who is boss!
  2. UWF places Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Michael Hayes, Jimmy Garvin, and Dick Murdoch on the block.
  3. Sorry for falling so far behind on my comments. Hopefully, I will get on a better schedule soon. That being said, Superclash was AWESOME! I loved the opening with Brenda and Linda Ronstadt. The St. Paul crowd really got their money's worth here with 14 matches. WOW... great work here! Interesting night for Iceman... started out a little heelish with the feet on the ropes and then the attack on Mulligan completed the turn. Looking forward to seeing this develop. I must say that that I am enjoying the Great Gagne! Verne should have done this in real life! I must that a bit of me was wishing to see one more heart punch from Ox but this was a really well writen feud from the beginning and you did an awesome job in the end. You really tried to not have a winner in the RnR Express/Fab One 7 match series but Jarett wouldn't allow it! Either way you wrote this would have been awesome. These two teams could go another 100 matches with each winning 50 and it would sell tickets every time. Bockwinkle with a great show of sportsmanship after the match with Garvin. Bock is one of those guys I watched in real life that I wasn't sure if I was suppossed to hate. He was just so good that you had to respect him. You have done a great job of capturing that side of Mr. AWA. Priceless in the hot tube before the match was such a great way to show their arrogance. Too bad it didn't pay off! If this is the end of Priceless, they had an awesome run. Lawler-Idol is over for now but it is such a great feud that somewhere in the game, I bet they match up again. Great job writing this up. Colon vs Steamboat for Match of the Year.... Colon is another guy I like better as a heel. You have done a great job of bringing his wild WWC side to the AWA and making it work. I know these shows are a lot of work and you did a great job with it. Thanks for all the hard work. I really enjoyed it.

    UWF

DEC.5 (Magazine Edition #1) A Word With Bill Watts Cowboy Bill Watts: Fans, I want you to understand that a new day has dawn on the wrestling world. A day that will forever change the landscape of the sport that both you and I love. Today, is the first day of the Universal Wrestling Federation. Fans, don’t worry. You will still see all of the stars that you love to watch and even some of those that you love to hate. The UWF is committed to bringing you all of the great action that you were use to seeing when this show was titled Mid-South Wrestling and we will still be visiting all of our old venues in Louisiana and Texas. We will also be coming to some new and exciting places. Fans in Oklahoma, Missouri, Ohio, Michigan and anywhere else we can think of, get ready because the UWF is coming to town. Now, I know many of you fans want to know why the UWF came to be and it is simple. Let’s first discuss that no good Les Thatcher over there in Alabama. He decides to pull out of last week’s super event in Atlanta days before the show is set to take place. Somebody tell me how, in just a matter of hours, he is able to get his own show booked for Thanksgiving night. I’ll tell you how. He had that whole thing planned ahead of time because he is a greedy rat. He blames me. He says I am power hungry. He calls me a dictator. Look in the mirror Thatcher, you want to control the world of wrestling, but we all know you aren’t smarter enough. Next, let’s look at Crockett up there in the Carolinas. For those of you who saw Starrcade, you saw the travesty of justice in the World Title match between Hacksaw Butch Reed and Tully Blanchard. For those that did not, this match was a coup! A theft by Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling so they could have the World Champion on their roster. For those that did not see it, I will just tell you that Tully Blanchard got help from Ric Flair, Ole Anderson and Arn Anderson while ref Ron West was knocked out and then that poor excuse for a referee, Carl Fergie rushed down and made the illegal three count and gave the belt to Tully Blanchard. We later found out that Carl Fergie took a $25,000 bribe to get involved in that match. From who? We don’t know for sure but we are pretty sure the Horseman were involved. As soon as Starrcade ended, I demanded a meeting with the NWA Board of Directors and it seems Crockett had gotten to the other board members and bribed them to not let a person from Mid-South Wrestling be the World Champion. As soon as they decided to keep Tully Blanchard as their champion, I resigned from being the President of the NWA and this was basically the birth of a new, honest, and tremendous wrestling organization… THE UNIVERSAL WRESTLING FEDERATION! Now some business matters… First… Carl Fergie has been Fired Forever from the UWF! Second…Hacksaw Butch Reed has been restored as the champion and will be recognized as the first ever UWF Champion. Third… The Masked Superstars or whatever they are calling themselves now will have their Mid-South Tag Team Titles renamed as the UWF Tag Team Champions. Fourth… The first big event under the UWF banner will be titled Last Stand and it will take place December 26th at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas Last… Make no mistake about it, the UWF is the top dog Wrestling World. We will not back down from anyone. If Mid-Atlantic wants to test our wrestlers, sign on the dotted line and we will kick your “you know what” all over any arena in this country. Same comes for Continental Championship Wrestling. In fact, I challenge you Les Thatcher to show up in any UWF arena, I will personally take you on in the ring and teach you a think or two. Ted Dibiase: The New Million Dollar Man For those of you who didn’t see Starrcade, Ted Dibiase did the unthinkable as he turned on his tag team partner, “Dr. Death” Steve Williams in their title match against the Masked Superstars. (now known as Demolition) Dibiase clobbered Dr. Death with the “Million Dollar” briefcase of Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie. As Masked Superstar #1 pinned Dr. Death, Dibiase and Sheik made eye contact followed by a nod of their heads. An agreement had been instantly made. Dibiase keeps the Million Dollar Briefcase and he joins Sheik’s stable! While Dibiase refused to give an interview after the match but Jim Ross did catch up with Dibiase in Baton Rouge this past Friday to find out just how he could turn on Dr. Death and all these great fans. Dibiase, who was dressed in a new tuxedo and wanted to be called the Million Dollar Man, said the answer was simple. “Dr. Death had lost his focus. He no longer wanted to be the best tag team in wrestling. He had his hand in a bunch of different things and didn’t seem committed to our partnership. He tried to become the World Champion at Halloween Havoc. He was spending half his time with Terry Gordy. Just look at Starrcade. Ten minutes before our match, he rushed out to help Gordy deal with the Freebirds. He was not the teammate he once was. On the other hand, it is great to be wanted. Time and time again, I defeated a member of the great Sheik Adnan’s Army. He knew I was the one who could bring him to the top. He new I was his way to the World Title! When we looked at each other at Starrcade, we both knew it was right. When we asked Dr. Death about what Ted Dibiase had done, he had trouble talking. He was not only saddened by the actions of Dibiase but he was angry… very angry. He vowed revenge on Dibiase and anyone who was a member of the Sheik’s Army. He also confirmed that Terry Gordy and he had formed an alliance. Together, they had agreed to put an end to both the Freebirds and Sheik’s Army. The Transformation is Complete Fans, recently in the Centroplex in Baton Rouge a “newcomer” by the name of Big Van Vader was lead to the ring by the “Task Master” Kevin Sullivan. Vader destroyed the Italian Stallion with the end coming by the way of a big powerbomb. This devastating move was delivered by the near 400-pound monster who came to the ring wearing some sort of animalistic headgear with steam coming out of the sides. As the match began, the headgear was removed, revealing a sort of half red mask and it became obvious that Big Van Vader was Leon White. Leon White has not been seen in these parts for nearly 6 months when he was kidnapped by his rival Kevin Sullivan. Sullivan had his minions, Haku and the Barbarian, place a bag over White’s head and dragged him from the arena. While White was being dragged away, Kevin Sullivan was heard saying, “Now the transformation can begin. After the recent match in Baton Rouge, Jim Ross wanted an explanation… Kevin Sullivan: Jim Ross… it’s simple. The man before you now always had talent but that talent needed to be brought out from the deepest being of his soul. He needed to stop worrying about the people around him and start fighting for himself. I took this man before you and we traveled the seven seas and fought the toughest men all around the world. We fought men who didn’t care if Leon White survived or died. Leon had to learn to fight. He had to learn to bring out his inner most beast and what you see before you know is a machine. A big, mean Van Vader killing machine! Jim Ross: Vader… What’s a Vader. Kevin Sullivan: Oh Jim Ross… you did go to school did you not. Think about the book, Dante’s Inferno. Way down deep in the bowels of hell, in fact the deepest level of Hell, the 9th Circle if you will…there was a beast who survived solely from his enjoyment of punishing other living creatures. The man before you must punish others or else who will not survive. You will see over the next few months that the only time Vader is happy is when he is punishing others. The problem for the wrestlers in the UWF is that they cannot stop Big Van Vader from being happy. The transformation I spoke of back in May is now complete and I pity those who will feel the wrath of the beast that is Vader! As Sullivan and Vader walk off, Jim Ross is obviously shaken and he isn’t sure who unnerves him more… Sullivan or Big Van Vader. The Bad Side of Rock n Roll Mike Davis and Tommy Young, better known as The Rock n Roll RPM’s, are quickly becoming one of the most hated tag teams in the UWF. While it is obvious to most that they have stolen their gimmick from the great Rock n Roll Express, they continue to brag about their so-called connections to the world of rock music. Besides their complete neglect for the rules, they have lately taken to attacking Ricky Gibson whenever they have a numbers advantage. Gibson, the brother of Rock n Roll Express member, Robert Gibson, has challenged them to have a fair match but this doesn’t seem to be of any interest to them. Only time will tell! Quotes from around the UWF Ernie Ladd on his team of Bad News Allen and Bad LeRoy Brown losing a Loser-Leave-Town Match against Rocky Johnson and Captain Redneck Dick Murdoch… Don’t you worry… my job of running Bill Watts out of wrestling is just getting started. That big dummy has proven time and time again that he can’t outsmart the Big Cat. Now, his corrupt officials have fast-counted my men out of the UWF. No big deal! There are plenty of men who want my services. There are plenty of men who want to take that Mid-South title off that Uncle Tom, Rocky Johnson. There are plenty of men who want to clobber Dick Murdoch. Trust me, Bill Watts. My plan is just getting started! Michael Hayes on why he painted a yellow strip down the back of Terry Gordy after Gordy’s U.S. Title Match against Nikita Koloff where he won by DQ after Ivan Koloff got involved: “If you just had a match for the U.S. Title against a Russian and you allowed him to walk out of that ring with our title, you are nothing but a big coward! Bill Watts should have sent someone capable into that match. Someone like the Freebird Michael Hayes. If I was in that match, we would be partying all night down in Atlanta, GA. Just ask the people in Hotlanta! That’s my town. It would have been my night. It would have been a rough trip down Bad Street for one Nikita Koloff. I must apologize to everyone for not getting the job down last year against Terry Gordy. I should have made sure that dumb bat was blind for life. Don’t worry Terry Gordy, I will finish the job I started. Jimmy Garvin on if he thought he won his Starrcade match against Scott Casey because he had his suspended valet, Precious, wear a mask and run to ringside and dump a bucket of pig slop all over Sunshine! “It’s not my fault that Scott Casey thought the masked woman was so much hotter then his hideous “lady” that he had to chase her up the aisle looking for a date. It’s night my fault Scott Casey has a valet that actually smelled a whole lot better after she had the pig slop dumped on her. It’s not my fault we all can’t be as beautiful as Gorgeous Jimmy. It’s not my fault that Precious and myself are this good looking and Scott Casey and Sunshine hit every branch on their fall from the ugly tree. It’s not my fault that when my Precious returns in December from that bogus suspension Watts threw at her, we will run Casey and Sunshine out of the UWF. Hacksaw Butch Reed on Bill Watts voiding the results from Starrcade and naming him the first ever Universal Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion… “I want to thank Mr. Watts for doing the right thing. The NWA board of directors, Les Thatcher and Crockett had a plan to get this title off me. I think we all know why. They have some sort of backwards way of thinking. They couldn’t handle me being their champion. Well, Mr. Watts proved what kind of man he is. Now, because of the actions of those cheaters, the NWA has fallen apart right before their eyes. I hope their happy. As for the Horsemen, we all knew they were corrupt and can’t do anything unless they have a numbers advantage. Tully Blanchard, Ole Anderson, Anr Anderson or Ric Flair for that matter… I’m letting you know all know that I have an open contract for this UWF title. If you ever have the guts to come down here, I will show you what a real champion looks like… and that goes for you to Les Thatcher. If you think anyone over there in Alabama can take this title from me, go ahead and try. That open challenge goes for you to Ted Dibiase … or should I saw Benedict Arnold. I’m going to put this title on the line every night and if anyone wants a shot, put your name on the dotted line!
  5. Okay... Now we have a problem! There is no way Thatcher could have planned thos awesome show in less then a week. It is obvious he wants to ne the show an is not a team player! lol Not sure where Wildfire is going but I hope his heelness continues. He has been a great read all year no matter where he is. The Bullet might need more frineds to protect that mask as Tommy was right... Brad left him flat out! Could for him putting his career ahead of CCW. (joking) Big win for Dundee... I bet this insn't the end of this one. Wargames was awesome... Nice way to send the crowd home!
  6. Mid-South adds Carl Fergie and the Harris brothers to the block
  7. THE OMNI ATLANTA, GEORGIA THANKSGIVING NIGHT NOVEMBER 25, 1986 Gordon Solie: Thank you. Thank you so very much and welcome once again to the National Wrestling Alliance, the oldest and largest sanctioning body the world over. Tonight, is going to be an historic evening as we have reached Starrcade 86, the biggest and best wrestling event of the year. Tonight, we will have 10 huge matches including all three NWA World Titles. I see the NWA President, Cowboy Bill Watts in the ring and seems set to go so lets turn things over to him now and get right to all the action. Cowboy Bill Watts: Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to the Omni. The National Wrestling Association in conjunction with Mid-South Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling brings you the best wrestling has to offer tonight as it presents Starrcade 86. Before we get to the ring, please stand and remove your hats as the South’s very own Charlie Daniels performs the Star-Spangled Banner. Trust me folks, if you have never heard the National Anthem played on a fiddle before you are in for a big treat. When the national anthem is over, Charlie Daniels grabs the mic and says this is going to be one Helluva night and so let’s start it off Georgia style and it goes something like this… (Charlie really gets the Georgia crowd going with an awesome playing of the “Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Chris Benoit vs Steve Wright Wright seemed to be getting Benoit in position for the "Octopus Hold" when Foley threw his helmet in the ring. As the ref admonished Foley, Benoit mule kicked Wright leading to the Dragon suplex for the win. NWA JR. Heavyweight Title Match: Eric Embry © vs Brad Armstrong Brad Armstong gets the win by dq when the rest of Radiance (Somers, Royal & Roma) stormed the ring after Brad hit the Russian Legsweep. As Embry and Radiance head back to the locker room with Embry raising the title above his head, Armstrong struggles to his feet. You can just tell by the look on Brad’s face that he is fuming. Remember, he cost himself a job with Continental Championship Wrestling by showing up tonight at Starrcade and now the NWA and more specifically, wrestlers from Mid-Atlantic have screwed him out of the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title! What is next for B.A.? We will have to wait and find out. Grudge Match: Freebird Jimmy Garvin vs Scott Casey with Sunshine Jimmy Garvin wins by count-out as a masked women rushed down to the ring and dumped a bucket of what appeared to be pig slop on Sunshine and then ran away. Scott Casey saw this and rushed out to help his valet as Jimmy Garvin stayed in the ring and just smiled. Gordon Solie couldn’t say for sure, but he was pretty sure the masked woman was Precious who was suspended from the NWA for the month of November for putting a bounty on Scott Casey. It seems like come December when she returns, Precious is going to have some questions to answer. NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Ole & Arn Anderson vs The Patriots (U.S. Steel & Todd Champion) Sorry everyone, but this is the weakest match on the card even though it’s for the NWA Tag Title but when that no good Les Thatcher pulled Continental Championship Wrestling at the last moment, there was nothing that could be done. U.S. Steel and Todd Champion did their best to use their power to their advantage, but the Andersons are the champs for a reason and their teamwork was spot on with the end coming in a clean victory when Arn followed up Ole’s top rope knee drop with a Spinebuster on Champion for the victory. Captain Redneck Dick Murdoch & Mid-South Champion, “Soul Man”Rocky Johnson vs Bad News Allen &LeRoy Brown with Ernie Ladd Losing Team Must Leave the NWA & if Rocky Johnson Loses, the winner gets his Mid-South Title A true brawl from start to finish with, as you would expect, the finish involving Ernie Ladd. With Bad News Allen arguing with the ref for distraction purposes, Ernie Ladd tried to clobber Rocky Johnson who was being held from behind by LeRoy Brown. Problem was Murdoch took the opportunity to come from behind and nail Brown in the back of the head. The blow caused Brown to release Johnson but now got hit in the front of his head by his own manager. After the double whammy, LeRoy was in trouble. Bad News Allen turns only to be hit with the Soul Man Shuffle which caused his to fall through the ropes… Huge double team move now as Rocky Johnson helps Murdoch lift and deliver a double suplex on Bad News Brown. The ref covers 1…2…3! Gordon Solie is ecstatic as he can’t believe that Bad News Brown and Bad News Allen are out of the NWA! As we catch a glimpse of Ernie Ladd, Solie adds that he can only imagine the joy going through the mind of NWA President Bill Watts right now as Ladd and his group have basically terrorized Watts for all of 1986! BUNKHOUSE BRAWL The Posse (Dick Slater, Black Bart, Bobby Jagers & Dirty Rhodes) vs Brutha's in Arms (Shaska Whatley, Tiger Conway Jr, Norvell Austin & Savanah Jack) The Posse pulls out the victory in a wild bout when Bart hit Jack with the "Texas Trash Compacter" through a table on the floor! Mid-South Tag Team Title Match: The Masked Superstars © vs Ted Dibiase & Dr. Death Sheik Adnan Kassie must give Dibiase & Dr. Death $5000 if the win Cleary the two best teams from Mid-South Wrestling are here vying for supremacy and they put on a great show. Sheik Adnan seems oddly quiet during the match and that might be because his bodyguard, Hercules Ayala, has been banned from the building and now the Sheik must guard his own $1,000,000 briefcase! Again, a match of big moves, near falls, and momentum changes. At about the 20-minute mark, we see the Sheik finally get involved as Masked Superstar #1 has just hit a big body slam on Dr. Death. Sheik slides the briefcase into one corner and then walks around the ring to the other side and gets up on the apron. He starts screaming at ref, Carl Ferige, who comes over to “argue” with Sheik. Superstar #1 grabs the briefcase, and out of character, climbs up to the top rope. He leaps off the top rope, going for a briefcase shot to the head. OOOFFF… Dr. Death rolls out of the way at the last second and Masked Superstar is down and the briefcase goes flying! Dr. Death is up… here comes Superstar # 2…. Oklahoma Stampede on #2. Dr. Death scoops up Superstar #1, the legal man, Oklahoma Stampede on #1. Dr. Death covers #1… Carl Fergie sees and slowly moves over to start what seems like the slowest cover in history! WHAM…. Oh My God! Ted Dibiase comes off the top rope with the briefcase and clobbers his Dr. Death. Dibiase then drags the Masked Superstar on top of Dr. Death and Fergie now makes a fast 1-2-3 count and the Superstars keep their titles! Dibiase picks up the Million Dollar Briefcase, looks at Sheik Adnan who shakes his head. Dibiase opens the case, sees the money and shakes his head in approval back at the Sheik. Dibiase walks out to the Omni floor and shakes hands with Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie as the Masked Superstars close in on Dr. Death. The crowd explodes as Terry Gordy rushes to the ring to help Dr. Death. The Masked Superstars are trying to escape from the ring but just as they are going through the ropes, Gordy grabs each of them by the mask and gives a big yank and the masks come off. The crowd gasps again, this time at the unmasked Masked Superstars! Gordon Solie: I can’t believe what I have just seem. Ted Dibiase has turned on Dr. Death and it looks like Sheik Adnan Al Kassie has his new Million Dollar Man! And what to make of the appearance of the Superstars! United States Title Match: The Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff with Ivan Koloff vs Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy Nikita really got all he could handle when he called out any American who had the guts to meet him at Starrcade for his U.S. Title. This bout was mega move after mega move with the end coming with Nikita winning by DQ as Uncle Ivan hit Gordy from behind when the action spilled out onto the floor. This didn’t stop the Russians from dragging Gordy back into the ring where we saw “the Russian Nigtmare” connect with a big Russian Sickle. The problem got worse for Gordy when the Russians left the ring as Freebirds Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin rushed to the ring with a gallon of paint and a paint brush. With Gordy just starting to stir from the beating from the Russians, Michael Hayes quickly painted a long yellow strip down his former partner’s back and then dumped the entire gallon of paint over Gordy’s head. The Freebirds now were stomping a mudhole in Bam Bam and there was nothing he could do about it. The crowd exploded as Dr. Death rushes to the ring to help Gordy just as Gordy had helped him a little while ago. Even though Dr. Death was alone, he quickly cleared the ring as the Freebirds ran for cover. A messy Gordy and an amped up Dr. Death dared the Freebirds to come back in the ring, but they never even thought about it as the headed up the aisle. WARGAMES: 2 Rings surrounded by 1 Cage New Wrestler Enters Every 5 Minutes Kevin Sullivan’s Spectral Hand (Sullivan, Missing Link, Warlord, The Barbarian &The Great Kabuki) Vs Luger’s Legion (Luger, Wahoo McDaniel, Dan Spivey, & Renegade Warriors (Mark & Chris Youngblood) McDaniel & Kabuki start and spend the five minutes blistering each other with chops, kicks & forearms. Finally the first period ends and Missing Link enters to make it 2 on 1 for 2 mins. Wahoo fights back as best he can but the two savages eventually wear him down. Thankfully the period ends & Chris Youngblood enters using his quick offense to stump the madmen. Wahoo regroups and we get a proper Tornado 2 on 2 until the horn sounds again and The Warlord enters the ring. The powerhouse is completely unleashed repeatedly slamming his foes into the mat, each other & especially the cage. Wahoo & Chris are both in bad shape as the horn heralds the arrival of Mark Youngblood. The elder Youngblood brother is the proverbial "house of fire" as he unloads on his opponents with stiff chops. He manages to floor Link & a bloody Kabuki but Warlord refuses to go down. The faces are just hanging in there when the Barbarian storm into the cage. He meets up with Warlord and together the Powers of Pain unload devastating double team moves. Barby is just finishing a string of big boots when Dan Spivey charges in. He immediately nails Link with a big boot of his own, catches Kabuki with a bulldog, then entering the second ring, runs through a double clothesline attempt from P.oP & hits his own dropping them both! Spivey's blitz gives his teammates time to recover and they actually have the advantage as Kevin Sullivan enters. Sullivan stands in the corner, reaches into his tights & retrieves... THE GOLDEN SPIKE!!! Sullivan surveys his surroundings then, holding the spike like a slasher villain holds his knife, let's lose a blood curdling scream and stabs Spivey! Sullivan is a man possessed stabbing all his opponents in rapid fashion. Then as the timer ticks down, he stands in the center of ring 1 taking in the chaos around him before noticing blood on the Spike. He stares for a moment before smiling and LICKING THE BLOOD to the absolute disgust of the crowd. As he's savoring the taste the horn sounds for the final time signaling Lex Luger's arrival. Luger wastes no time immediately tackling Sullivan and pounding him into the matter as the fans are informed that the "Match Beyond" has begun. What follows is several minutes of hell with no discernable advantage on either side. Most of the wrestlers are bleeding. Finally a turning point, Barbarian manages to collect the Golden Spike as Sullivan hits Luger with a uppercut to the uprights. Seeing Barbarian with the spike Sullivan grabs Luger and holds him in position while screaming "finish him!". Barbarian doesn't need to be told twice & rushes forward. But just as he's bringing the spike down, Luger breaks free & dives out of the way causing Barbarian to drive the spike into the top of Sullivan's head! Barbarian is in shock giving Luger enough time to hit a running forearm sending him into the space between the rings. With as much urgency as he can muster, Luger pulls Sullivan into the "Torture Rack"! To his credit Sullivan endures the pain for a few moments but once it's clear no help is coming he submits! After the bell, as the cage is being raised Sullivan breaks away from the medics attending to him. Managing to come up behind Luger, Sullivan spins him around...AND THROWS A FIREBALL IN HIS FACE!!!! Everybody is in shock! Sullivan stumbles through the ropes and joins his minions laughing the whole time while medics & security rush to tend to Luger. NWA World Title Match: Hacksaw Butch Reed © vs Tully Blanchard with Baby Doll We all know that this was an awesome match with each guy bumping and selling like crazy, momentum change after momentum change and near falls by each man, so let’s just get to the finish. Hacksaw Butch is in full control of the match and comes off the ropes at full speed setting up Tully for the spear but somehow Tully dodges it and Reed crashes full tilt into ref Ron West. Reed checks on West who is out as Tully goes to Baby Doll and is screaming for her to get involved. Baby Doll slowly gets up on the apron and puts one leg through the ropes but hesitates. Tully is screaming to hurry up. Suddenly, Baby Doll steps back out through the ropes and stands on the apron. Tully is frantically screaming but Baby Doll shakes her head NO! SMACK! Tully smacks the Perfect 10 right in the face and down she goes. Seeing that their original plan has not worked out, Ric Flair and the Andersons rush the ring and attack Hacksaw. The throw everything at him but the kitchen sink. We see the Ole Kneedrop, the Flair Figure 4, and the Arn Spinebuster. Finally, Tully with the assistance of Flair hit the Slingshot Suplex and Reed and Tully goes for the cover. You could have counted to 100 but the only problem was that Ron West was still out cold. No matter what the Andersons due, they can’t get West up. Suddenly we hear a moan from the crowd …. It’s Carl Fergie, in his ref cloths, rushing to the ring. He dives under the bottom rope as Tully once again covers Hacksaw. With the fastest count in history, Carl Fergie makes the 3-count and Gordon Solie can’t believe the miscarriage of justice as he announces Tully Blanchard as the new NWA World champion. He hopes that Bill Watts will not let this stand but says that Tully is the champion for now. As we go off the air, we see Tully, the Andersons and Flair celebrating their victory with Carl Fergie. Baby Doll, holding her reddened check with tears streaming down her face, and Hacksaw Butch Reed kneeling in disbelief as the NWA World Title was literally just stolen from him! So long from the Omni!
  8. Sorry I fell a bit behind here. I am joying what you are doing with Lisa M., Velvet, Richter and Madusa. Can't wait to see why Lisa M. was surrounded by people after the match. Eventually RIchter may be ready to go out on her own as she seems to know she is the big dog. Nice alliance between Velvet and Madusa but will it last. Your format is so simple but you do a great job of moving your angles along.
  9. Nice leadup to Starrcade! Big win for Harley Race. Can't wait to see what is next here. Also, really looking forward to seeing your Wargames match!
  10. Wow...San Diego Battleground and its two nights of action shows what a great roster you have developed. So many great matches with a lot of twists and turns made this a fun read from beginning to end. Sorry I fell behind here but the reward of reading a few shows at once and seeing the angles develop was fun. For me the first shock of the night came when the Hart Foundation went down in defeat. It seems to me that there was a lot of chaos in the tag division here in San Diego and it will be interesting to see who and how you build around. Next big thing to follow is Hart talking to Pringle about OMG.... interesting! And the big shock... Sullivan, one his night off from MACW, shows up after the Masked Avenger goes down in defeat to Bigelow and talks Avenger away! -Simmons over Hansen means he is READY for ANYTHING!! Great job with him this year. WOW... Playboy goes down to Windham. I enjoyed how Windham was up and down throughout his time in PCW and then we got the big build! Can't wait to see what is next for both Windham and Rose! Agaon, awesome shows.
  11. Sorry for falling behind here. Awesome last few weeks of shows. -One thing here, NWA President, Bill Watts, is not happy having his name dragged through the mud on National TV by that "Wanna Be" Les Thatcher...lol -I smell some funny business that the Boutwell just happened to be available on such short notice. I smell a RAT! -Great job heating up the FIesta Garden-Street feud. -Tommy Rich is the least trusted man in wrestling and I love it! -Nice job breaking done Adonis and giving him the quick rebuild into the Adorable one. Looking forward to Thanksgiving Thunder...
  12. Sorry I am a bit behind here. Loved the show on MOvember 13th. Your interviews were really well done with some great lines. I like Chick and Rip calling out Solie and his drinking and Cocoa going back to his problems with the Cartel in Texas. Awesome event! I have been to 2 wrestling shows in my life and one was in the Bayfront Center in 1986. Great memories! Sawyer/Borne vs Texas Red/Spoiler is a great match as was the 4 Corner Match for the TItle. Nice to see Herc get the belt. He is a great monster heel for Florida. Love everything going on here!
  13. STARRCADE PREVIEW SHOW Shown on Superstation 17 November 20, 2021 -NWA President Bill Watts comes out to hype the next NWA big event will be Starrcade which will be held Thanksgiving night as the NWA will return to the Omni in Atlanta, Georgia. Watts goes on to say that this show was to showcase the top talent from all three territories, Mid-South, Mid-Atlantic and Continental but Les Thatcher, the head of Continental Championship Wrestling has decided at the last moment to not take part in the big night. You can tell Watts is fuming over this as he goes on to explain that the NWA Board of Directors is meeting right now to decide if Continental Championship Wrestling will be sanctioned for their actions. -Bill Watts turns the show over to Jim Ross who previews each of the big matches on the card. Chris Benoit vs Steve Wright JR Foley has quickly become one of the most despised men in MACW. Determined to make the territory the newest front of the anti-American crusade that had already been felt from Seattle to Shreveport. Key to this new campaign has been Canadian prodigy Chris Benoit. While some were surprised by this alliance considering Foley's legendary feud with the family responsible for Benoit's training, the Harts it quickly became clear why Foley was willing to overlook the connection. Benoit's blend of technical ability & sheer ferocity has made him a noted contender in the Jr Heavyweight division. Foley saw a opportunity to expand his army with the arrival of Steve Wright in early November & actually arranged a match with Benoit to demonstrate the kind of talent Wright could be associating with. While Benoit certainly seemed to have earned Wright's respect Foley decidedly hadn't. With Wright going onto stand opposite from The Commonwealth in multi-man matches since Foley seems to have taken the hint and has arranged a rematch between Wright & Benoit at Starrcade. Not with the intention to recruit but to punish. NWA JR. Heavyweight Title Match: Eric Embry © vs Brad Armstrong While there are many quality JR Heavyweights in the NWA, there is no denying that Armstrong and Embry are the top two. The interesting thing here is that Brad Armstrong is the only member of the Continental Championship Wrestling roster who is still participating at Starrcade. It will be interesting to hear what Les Thatcher has to say about this and if he is welcomed back to CCW after Thanksgiving night. Grudge Match: Freebird Jimmy Garvin vs Scott Casey with Sunshine Ever sense Casey arrived in Mid-South sporting Garvin’s former girlfriend, Sunshine, as his valet, there has been a lot of tension surrounding all involved. Garvin’s current valet, Precious, has been suspended for the month of November for placing a $25,000 bounty in the career of Scott Casey. While this bounty was eventually stolen by former Freebird Terry Gordy, Scott Casey was forced to have eyes in the back of his head as attackers were coming out of the woodwork trying to collect the money. Since Precious was suspended, Sunshine has been coming out to Garvin’s matches and distracting him in a rather “sexy” way and Garvin has been on a bit of a losing streak. What will happen at Starrcade is anyone’s guess. NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Ole & Arn Anderson vs The Patriots (U.S. Steel & Todd Champion) This was to be a Triple Threat Match with Continental sending in JYD and Mr. Olympia but with the current circumstances with CCW, that will not be the case and we will have a regular tag team match. While the Andersons are the clear favorites here, the Patriots took advantage of some wild circumstances last week in New Orleans in a 4-Corner Match to earn this title shot and the vow to take full advantage of it. In New Orleans, The Patriots shocked everyone as the defeated The Freebirds, The Masked Superstars and Ted Dibiase and Dr. Death to get the title match at Starrcade. Jim Ross took us to the video tape of this match: The Masked Superstars and the former champs (Dibiase and Dr. Death) were battling it out on the floor as Jimmy Garvin and Buddy Roberts were putting a beating on U.S. Steel. Suddenly, Garvin’s former girlfriend saunters down in a rather sexy dree and gets the eye of Garvin who is without his valet, Precious, who is currently suspended. Sunshine hops up on the apron and WHAM…. Garvin turned right onto a big spear by U.S. Stee who quickly covered Garvin for the win. Fuming at what just happened, Michael Hayes hightails it after Sunshine who is in full run mode up the aisle. UH OH…. From behind the curtain comes Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy who has been waiting months to get his hands on Michael Hayes. WHAM…. WHAM…. WHAM! Gordy is all over Michael Hayes! We now have brawling all over the arena and it takes a lot of people to get order restored. Jim Ross: Sometimes unexpected things happen and now it is up to the Patriots to take advantage of their opportunity. Speaking of opportunities, Terry Gordy really must have enjoyed his chance to get some measure of retribution on the man who nearly blinded him earlier this year. Captain Redneck Dick Murdoch & Mid-South Champion, “Soul Man”Rocky Johnson vs Bad News Allen &LeRoy Brown with Ernie Ladd Whoever Loses Must Leave the NWA & if Rocky Johnson Loses, the winner gets his Mid-South Title Ernie Ladd has been after Rocky Johnson ever since Johnson took the Mid-South title from Bad News Allen and with each unsuccessful attempt, he has found new ways to blame Bill Watts and his incompetent referees. Ladd often resorted to getting involved himself or have his other goon help out. Each time Johnson found himself on the wrong side of the number’s game, Captain Redneck came to the rescue. Watts tired of the constant bad mouthing by Ladd agreed to give Ladd one more chance but Ladd had to willing to have one of his men “go away” of the attempt was unsuccessful. So here we are, A Loser -Leave Town Tag Team Match for the Mid-South Title. BUNKHOUSE BRAWL The Posse (Dick Slater, Black Bart, Bobby Jagers & Dirty Rhodes) vs Brutha's in Arms (Shaska Whatley, Tiger Conway Jr, Norvell Austin & Savanah Jack) When MACW returned from hiatus one man who clearly had plans for the new era was Shaska Whatley. His initial plans seemed to include a partnership with Roosevelt "SD" Jones & "Bad" Leroy Brown. While Brown would part ways with MACW not long after arriving Whatley was undeterred. On November 25th Whatley would console Jones after a loss to Bobby Jagers. Jones would return the favor later that night interfering in Whatley's match against Black Bart leading to a assault that would be broken up by Jagers, his Hangmen partner Dirty Rhodes, and Dick Slater. That night marked the birth of both the Posse & the Brutha's. Whatley would add to his ranks over the next of months with Norvell Austin & (after the departure of Jones) his AWA World Tag Team Championship partner, Tiger Conway Jr. After a number of multiman matches & various gimmicks between the two sides MACW officials have decided to book a Bunkhouse Brawl in hopes of ending this conflict once and for all! Mid-South Tag Team Title Match: The Masked Superstars © vs Ted Dibiase & Dr. Death Sheik Adnan Kassie must give Dibiase & Dr. Death $5000 if the win No denying this are the top two teams in Mid-South Wrestling and there is also no don’t that they have a strong dislike for each other. It will be interesting to see what happens here as the Sheik has constantly used his “guardian” of the Million Dollar Briefcase, Hercules Ayala, to get involved in matched while Dibiase has seemed to be unbeatable against Sheik’s men United States Title Match: The Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff vs Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy Nikita Koloff has issued a challenge to any American to step in the ring with him and he didn’t need to say anymore to get Terry Gordy involved. No doubt about it, this will be a clash of the Superpowers at Starrcade! WARGAMES: Kevin Sullivan’s Spectral Hand (Kevin Sullivan, Missing Link, Warlord, The Barbarian &The Great Kabuki) Vs Luger’s Legion (Wahoo McDaniel, Lex Luger, Dan Spivey, & The Renegade Warriors (Mark & Chris Youngblood) 2 rings surrounded by 1 cage. 2 men will face off for 5 minutes after which teams will take turns sending in a new man every 2 minutes. Once all 10 men are in the cage, we enter the "match beyond" which can only be won by submission or surrender. Explaining the type of match and those involved is enough said! WOW! NWA World Title Match: Hacksaw Butch Reed © vs Tully Blanchard with Baby Doll Rumor has it that Bill Watts wanted a title rematch from last week in New Orleans between Reed and Dick Murdoch. He saw this two put on an awesome show in their 30-minute draw but he also saw something he never saw before in a babyface vs babyface match. He saw the crowd divided down the middle and as into the match as anything he has witnessed recently. The white fans were behind Murdoch will the black fans were rooting for Hacksaw. With the crowd split down the middle it didn’t matter that Reed and Murdoch shook hands before and after the match, Watts saw major dollar signs down the road! So instead of it being Reed vs Gavin, It will be Reed vs Tully Blanchard with Baby Doll. No matter what happens, this one is going to be electric
  14. Great lead up to Starrcade. I thing you did an awesome job with the promos by Nikta and Sullivan. Not sure if the NWA ever did an angle on where Wargames came from but it makes since that Sullivan would start it. Reed vs Tully will we grea. Looking forward to seeing if Baby Dolll and the loaded purse can take down the champ.
  15. Mid-South adds Killer Karl Krupp from the retired list. He is studying for his manager's license as we speak.
  16. Mid-South adds Scott Casey to the block
  17. I really enjoyed your tv show this week. I thought your Ole Anderson impression was spot on! Well done. I hope you have as much fun with JR Foley as I did. There is some great video of him up in Stampede with Stu Hart on youtube. He was an interesting character. Also, nice job with Kevin Sullivan. He is sometime hard to write for but you are making it look easy! I liked Norvel Austin in a match. This idea gives Spivey someone who knows what he is doing to work with, and you are not upsetting Austin but making him go down in jobber-like fashion. Can't wait for our next big event!
  18. I must say, you are the master at building a super card and finding something for everyone to do. Not a shock to see the Fab Ones and The RnR Express going the distance and I can't wait to see which way you go with it. These are two of my favorite tag teams and this angle has been awesome to follow. I can say the same thing for Lawler vs Idol. I loved Idol on Georgia Championship Wrestling when I was a kid. He was usually a babyface and I thought him, Tony Atlas and Wildfire were the best. As an adult, I have know been able to see some Memphis shows and love Idol and Wildfire as heels. This game is really fun to see each of us put our own spin on things. While I love the entire Super card, I am also really looking froward to the Steamboat/Colon match. I know who I want to win but I am more excited to see how you write up Colon as a heel in a major match with a ring technician. Also, whoever comes out of Garvin vs Bock is going to get a huge push. Looking forward to seeing what direction you go. Awesome job putting the big show together.
  19. Nice week of shows for CCW but NWA President Bill Watts might not be too happy with you discussing CCW chaos with Slick, Landel, the Fullers and everyone else before brushing over the fact that we have a bew NWA champion and new NWA tag champions. Just because neither are from CCW don't be showing the sour grapes on national TV.... lol! I like the somber Dusty promo as T.A. should not just be forgotten. Like all your angles but really looking forward to Wildfire and his cousins! Sherri and Starr Power is a nice fit. Like how Furnas is paying his dues on the house circuit. Very real feel to CCW JYD and Olympia are right back where they need to be and that's making the fans happy!
  20. Mid-South places Rocky Johnson on the block
  21. It is all done. Sorry
  22. I really enjoyed this last show. You seem to have Gordon down pretty well and it brings back some memories for me. Woman/Man/Luscious are an awesome interview as is El Jefe. Nice job here! Looking forward to seeing some babyfaces stand up to all these heels but it is going to be tough. Great job getting some major heat in Florida in a short period of time.
  23. Mid-South also releases Alaskan Hunter Bob Brown, Dale Veasey, and Frankie Lancster
  24. Mid-South adds Norman Smileyy and releases Mark Fleming and the Batten Twins
  25. Mid-South takes Shaun Simpson. WWW will be added to the draft at the end of round 4.
