  1. Lakefront Arena: New Orleans, Louisiana October 1, 1986 First 6 matches partially shown on Superstation 17 First, as time continues to be an issue for me, I want to explain a couple of the angles that would have been advanced during the last Power Pro’s tv show. 1. NWA President, Bill Watts, hypes the next joint NWA Supercard which will be Halloween Havoc on October 31st in the Omni. This event will include a 16-man tournament where the winner will get an NWA World Title shot. Each of the NWA territories, Mid-South, Continental Championship Wrestling, and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling will send 5 wrestlers to Atlanta on Halloween. The last Rope Battle Royal to be held the week before. Again, all territories will send competitors to this Battle Royal. Watts’s went on to explain that the first two entrants to the Halloween Havoc would be the NWA North American Champion, Hacksaw Butch Reed and the NWA Mid-South Champion, “Soul Man” Rocky Johnson. The last three picks will have to find their way in by winning a qualifying match. Those matches will be announced next week and will take place two weeks from now in Shreveport. 2. Cowboy Bill Watts also formally announces the suspension of Bruiser Brody. Brody was angry at Watts for punishing him and Black Bart after their No Contest brawl in Jackson, Mississippi. He said that the No Contest was all Black Bart’s fault as he attacked him in the aisle. Brody, who was still fuming, decided to NO SHOW the event in Houston this week and forced U.S. Steel to take his match against Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Watts explained that Brody has a right to be angry but has no right to not show up to work. Brody is free to go anywhere he wants but just won’t be returning to Mid-South anytime soon. 3. A promo hyping the return to Mid-South Wrestling of the greatest tag team in NWA history …. The Rock n Roll is headed your way! 4. Sheik Adnan Al Kassie spent a lot of time praising his Mid-South Tag Team Champions, The Masked Superstars, and said there is so little competition in Mid-South Wrestling that he must find a way to motivate the challengers to wrestle his team. He has decided to start the Superstar Challenge which is where he will pay any team $50,000 of his own money if they can beat his champions. 5. Scott Casey and Sunshine were fuming as he came out of the locker room with a note, he found stating that someone has posted a $25,000 Bounty on his wrestling career. He knows that Jimmy Garvin is behind this and demands that Garvin come out right now and face him. Jimmy Garvin was not in the building, but “Crippler” Rip Oliver came from behind and beat Casey pretty good. Oliver was obviously after the bounty and tossed Casey around pretty good before the other babyfaces came to the rescue of Casey. Sunshine was obviously distraught but explained that this is the exact reason she left Garvin in the first place as he is nothing but a low-down dirty dog! 6. Koko Ware made his Mid-South debut and his upbeat, charismatic personality along with his high-flying arsenal had the crowd out of their seats. His post-match interview explained that he came to Mid-South because he wanted to test himself against the best and he knows that Mid-South has the best wrestlers in the world. Now on to our show in New Orleans… “The Mighty Yankee” Billy Jack Strong defeated “Cajun” Joey Jackson by submission with the swinging full nelson. Koko Ware defeats Gorgeous Gary Young with the top rope elbow drop. Give Young some credit as he did a good job of bringing some heat on himself here and he did a hell of a job of bumping and selling to help get the newcomer over. U.S. Steel with a patriotic win over “The Russian Assassin” Alexis Smirnoff with a Bearhug Slam. Scott Casey with Sunshine vs Ken Timbs never took place as Casey was attacked on his way to the ring by “Crippler” Rip Oliver. Oliver seems to be hard up for money as he wants that bounty placed on the career of Scott Casey. Ken Timbs joined in the brawl thinking he could cash in also but when U.S. Steel and Koko Ware rushed out, Oliver and Timbs headed for the hills. Kendo Nagasaki with Tojo Yamamota defeated Patriot Todd Champion as Tojo distracted the ref and Kendo clobbered Champion in the head with the kendo stick. Superstar Challenge Challengers get not only the titles but $50,000 of Sheik Adnan Al Kassie’s money if they win the Mid-South Tag Team Titles: The Masked Superstars defeat Rufus “Freight Train” Jones & Mike George when the Superstars hit the back-breaker/elbow drop combo on Mike George! Grude Match Bad News Allen & Bad LeRoy Brown with Ernie Ladd defeated “Captain Redneck” Dick Murdoch and “Soul Man Rocky Johnson by count-out as Ernie Ladd grabbed the legs of Rocky and prevented him from getting back into the ring. North American Title Match “Hacksaw” Butch Redd © defeated Jake “The Snake” Roberts with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie as Jos Leduc once again clobbered The Snake with the briefcase full of money which allowed Reed to hit the top rope shoulder block for the win. After the match, Roberts shoved Leduc causing The Sheik to beg for cooler heads. The Snake threw his hands in the air and walked away. Main Event Ted Dibiase, Dr. Death, & Terry Gordy defeated The Freebirds with Precious (Michael Hayes, Buddy Roberts & Jimmy Garvin) with a little help from Sunshine. The match was an all-out chaotic bout that saw a little of everything. In the end, Sunshine came to the ring and got in the face of Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin. She was holding the bounty note on Scott Casey and you could tell she was blaming him for it. Michael eyes had just raked the eyes of Ted Dibiase and turned to try and get Garvin away from Sunshine. Unfortunately, this delay allowed Dibiase time to make the tag to Terry Gordy! As Hayes turned around…. WHAM… Gordy scooped up Hayes and landed a big powerslam. Buddy Roberts tried to make the save but was caught with a big clothesline by Dr. Death. So long from the Pelican State!
  2. Really good TV show that pushed the Market Square event! Nice job getting those tickets sold. I must say that you have everyone in the right place on your roster. You got Garvin in the taped fist match, Priceless hanging on as a top team going after the titles, Colon fighting the wars, Brenda in the Beauty Shop, El Jefe as the awesome midcard heel with the cigar and all and the tag team issues with Hennig and Adias, the arrogant heel in Idol and the big time main eventers going for the title in Steamboat and Bock! Great job developing their characters, their feuds and giving each fan something that they want. As for Market Square: Awesome event that has the twists and turns that make for a fun-filled wild ride. Larry Z and Perez with the handshake.... Interested to see where this goes to. Wahoo No Shows but that's fine... here comes Mulligan The Fab Ones take the 1-0 lead Wow!!! The shocker of the night for me was the tag title change! AWESOME Great main event. Would love to see more of this. Maybe my favorite matchup in the entire game right now. If you were at Market Square, you could not wait for the next tv show to see what will happen from all of the chaos. If you were not there, you can't wait for the next tv show to see what happened. Great event.
  3. Awesome job with the interviews this week. Flair was perfect! I really enjoyed JR Foley also. You did a nice job of giving him a stable from all over the Commonwealth. You even brough back his hatred for Stu Hart! Savage was also really well done. This had the perfect MACW TV show feel. Awesome main event with Lugar & Lucifer... The Sullivan chaos is going to be wild. As for Greensboro....Awesome Wonder what will happen here with Bart-Shaska. Very interesting angle. Really glad the title is back on Flair. This allows you to push the Road Warriors where you want and to have the correct man in gold! Very realistic card for a high school gym event! You have this all down pat! Nice work. Awesome week for MACW
  4. Great show! I loved the ending with Hump saying we need to see two singles matches between Khan and Dusty! This brawl really sold some tickets. People will be driving all over Alabama to follow this feud! Nice bout with the Nightmares and The Desperados. I bet both these teams rise up the ranks of CCW! Nice booking with the Landel-Studd bout. I was wondering why the Fullers really wanted Landel so badly but it seems the just wanted to prove a point. I wonder what Sherri will make Adonis do now for his mistake! Maybe cameras won't be allowed to film his punishment. Great angle! Luscious-Exotic Adrian might have the Alabama people cringing in their seats in 86 but they you give them Woman and Linda and everything is OK. Really fun angle.
  5. Mid-South sends Don Bass to MACW and adds JR Hogg
  6. Enjoy your Supercards and this one was no different. This one leaves us with so many questions and new exciting angles... Will Richter turn off her tag team partner with all of her gloating. Will Madusa survive with the babyfaces? Who will stop Lisa Moretti? Thanks for making this part of the game so entertaining.
  7. Great show on ESPN this week. The opening matches served to push OMG and Simmons. Then we get the new angle going with what is going on with Adams and Adams. This should be fun. Great main event with BBR taking the title from Bubba with the help of the Masked Avenger. Still trying to figure out if he is really going to help Cornette or if this is all a set up. Can't wait to find out! Nice 2/3 falls main event. Portland was so famous for these. Nice job.
  8. Good research by George Crump! Can't wait to see the first show. Nice choice of the Brisco's working with Solie. Welcome back!
  9. Very fun show to read as always! Tommy Rich and cousins in the locker room shows that they are not only evil on camera but behi nd the scenes. Good way to make them even more heelish then they are. I'm interested to see who who might be next.... well at least to go with theArmstrongs and the Bullet.... Nightmares maybe. It doesn't matter.... They are getting so much heat right now that they would be booed against Charles Manson. Unsure which way you are going with Stubbs but I am enjoying it. Landel is walking a very fine line which also makes him so entertaining. Between his dislike of Stubbs, The Studd Stable and RPG, you'd think he was big time babyface but then you listen to him and you think big time heel. Really well done. Really enjoying Luscious, Woman and Man vs Adrian and Linda and now add Stomper. Great effect with the lights going out! Was Stomper a babyface in CCW? In Georgia, he was always a heel I believe but in Stampede he was a babyface for at least part of his time. You can tell that Adonis wants to flip out on Sherri but then it is like he is under her spell. I understand why on both sides... she is a woman.... already that frustrates most men but then you look at her and say...hmmmm..... Sherri's group is going to have some TROUBLE.... JYD is back..... what a way to blow the roof off of CCW! JYD is huge in any southern territory. Poor Dusty might be unhappy when the loudest applause is not for him. Awesome Fiesta Garden.... Adonis is in some deep trouble between Sherri, Cooley and the big three. Cooley really stepped up to the plate with Sherri in the Fiesta Garden
  10. Sam Houston Coliseum: Houston, Texas September 24, 1986 First 6 matches partially shown on Superstation 17 First, as time continues to be an issue for me, I want to explain a couple of the angles that would have been advanced during the last Power Pro’s tv show. 1. NWA President, Bill Watts, announced the next joint NWA Supercard which will be Halloween Havoc on October 31st in the Omni. Matches for this event will soon be announced. 2. A promo hyping the return to Mid-South Wrestling of the greatest tag team in NWA history …. The Rock n Roll is headed your way! 3. We here from Scott Casey and Sunshine on how great it was to come to Jackson, Mississippi and beat the Freebirds especially with Jimmy Garvin being the one to go down in defeat. Sunshine talked about her past relationship with Garvin and claims that it was her who left Garvin because he was a loser and always wanted her to use some sort of illegal ways to help him cheat to victory. She claimed that the only reason that Precious is with him now is because she is cheating trash just like him. Scott Casey went on to hype up the fact that it was so obvious that Garvin still had eyes for Sunshine as the second he saw her, he lost focus and lost the match. Casey didn’t fault Garvin too much as he said he understood that after looking at Sunshine and Precious, everyone knows that Garvin lost out on that deal! Later, we find out that since Ted Dibiase will be taking on Magnum T.A. for the World title in Houston that it will be Scott Casey and Dr. Death taking on Jimmy Garvin and Michael Hayes. As the show ended, The Freebirds come to the interview area where both Garvin, Hayes and Precious spend most of the time putting down Precious. It got a little out of hand when Garvin started throwing dog biscuits on the floor for his former valet and calling her Fido instead of Precious. This brought Scott Casey and Precious back out, but the problem was it was 3-1. The Freebirds finished their gifted promos and went right on the attack as they beat Scott Casey all over the arena floor as the show ended. We will have to see what happens this week in Houston. 4. Bill Watts, upset at Black Bart and Bruiser Brody for their extreme violence last week in Jackson, took action against both. He banned them from being in the same Mid-South venue for the foreseeable future. Black Bart was fuming and decided to head out of the territory so that he could earn a fair living. Bruiser Brody was also really upset as he felt he did nothing but defend himself from the pre-match attack. Brody complained that he tries to go out and give the fans a good show and that Watts has lost his focus on doing what the fans want and if the NWA president doesn’t give the fans what they want, then why should he. Now on to our show in Houston… Kendo Nagaski with Tojo Yamamoto defeated Mike Graham by submission with some sort of nerve hold. “Captain Redneck” Dick Murdoch defeated The Masked Yankee with the brainbuster. When Murdoch went for the mask, the Mighty Yankee, Billy Jack Strong, rushed to the ring and dragged out the Masked Yankee. When Murdoch dared Strong to enter the ring, Strong decided discretion was the better part of valor and guided his friend back to the locker room. Jake “The Snake” Roberts with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie defeated U.S. Steel when he slithered out of a potential powerslam by Steel and then connected with the DDT for the pin. The Snake pointed to Sheik’s $1,000,000 briefcase like he was laying claim to it, but the Sheik gave him a noncommittal shrug. U.S. Steel was filling in for Bruiser Brody who was a no show after being upset at Bill Watts for what he thought was unfair treatment. Mid-South Title Match Rocky “Soul Man” Johnson © defeated Bad News Allen with Ernie Ladd by DQ as the ref “came to” just in time to see Rocky being attacked by Bad News Allen, Ernie Ladd and Bad Bad LeRoy Brown. This is Brown’s first appearance in Mid-South in months and Ernie Ladd will have some explaining to do on the next Power Pro. Dick Murdoch, who helped Rocky win the title last week in Jackson, rushed down to the ring to even the sides a bit. Even thought it was a 3-2 advantage for the heels, Murdoch and Rocky controlled the ring and then a frustrated Ernie Ladd led his Bad Bad team to the locker room. Grudge Match The Freebirds (Garvin and Hayes) with Precious vs Dr. Death Steve Williams & Scott Casey with Sunshine did not go off as planned. The fans began to boo when the ring announcer said that due to the attack on Power Pro Wrestling by the Freebirds this past week, the Mid-South doctors have refused to clear Scott Casey to wrestle. Gorgeous Jimmy and Michael “P.S.” Hayes were having a grand ol time after this announcement but boy did that change in a hurray as the ring announcer continued with… but taking his place as he was just cleared by doctors will be none other than …. Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy! The roof nearly came off of the Sam Houston Coliseum! Michael Hayes thought he saw a ghost as he went up to Gordy and moved his finger from side to side to check to see if Gordy really had his eyesight back and Gordy followed every inch of the movement! WHAM! Huge right hand by Gordy and the brawl was under way. Only seconds behind Gordy was Sunshine who went right after Precious! Precious wasn’t backing down and we see a good cat fight in the aisle while the brawl was going on in the ring. Garvin couldn’t take his eyes off of Sunshine and Precious and this led to his downfall as he was caught by Dr. Death with the Oklahoma Stampede. Before the ref could complete the 3 count, Buddy Roberts came off the top rope with a knee to the back of Dr. Death forcing the ref to call for the bell. No big deal as there was no stopping Gordy and Dr. Death as they proceeded to pummel all 3 Freebirds! What a wild scene here in the Coliseum! Mid-South Tag Team Title Match The Masked Superstars © with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie defeated the Patriots (U.S. Steel and Todd Champion) as the Superstars connected with a nasty double team move as Superstar #1 hit a backbreaker on U.S. Steel and then Superstar #2 came off the top rope with an elbow drop! U.S. Steel was just not at his full ability after suffering the DDT earlier in the evening in his match with The Snake. North American Title Match Hacksaw Butch Reed © defeated Jos Leduc with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie with a football tackle. When Reed eyed Sheik Adnan and the $1,000,000 briefcase after the match, the Sheik took off and left Leduc in the center of the ring. NWA WORLD TITLE MATCH Magnum T.A. and Ted Dibiase wrestled to a 45-minute draw. While the match did start and end with a handshake, it did get a little chippy during the long bout. Most in attendance say that Dibiase started with the questionable tactics but that T.A. had no problem mixing it up! See you next week in New Orleans. So long from the Lone Star State.
  11. Added to the block with Bruiser Brody are Black Bart and Bad News Allen
  12. Really good card. Nice job in the first couple of matches and you gave those you wanted a nice little push. Losing to the Beast of Burden is no shame but the Bruise Brothers seem to have lost some mojo. Will be interesting to see what happens here for both of these teams. You have found a great way to keep Billy Jack and Snuka a hot topic in the AWA... Have these two monsters beat on each other. This could entertain the fans for months. Finally a good ref catches the bad guy as Idol gets caught using the belt. We need this refs name as Mid-South is looking for a few good men in stripes. Colon shocks the fans.... maybe he has just snapped. Step into the ring for a year of blood-filled bouts and you just might not be right in the head anymore.
  13. Very interesting first match with Luna going down in defeat. Not buying the Monster's reason for the loss. Maybe they can't win without Madusa. Very interesting. Misty Blue seemed to be the class of the tag match. She might be looking for some gold or a better partner. Time will tell. Moretti "settling" for a powerslam shows just how good she is. Nice booking!
  14. Again, very realistic house shows as we give the stars a win against some decent names and then we get the big main event to sell the tickets!
  15. Mid-South places Brusier Brody on the block.
  16. got it.
  17. My fault with the Spoiler. He is available. Sorry for making so many mistakes on the rosters lately. Please remind me of the Dory for Patera trade when it actually occurs.
  18. Awesome job getting MACW set up the way you like. I just said something similiar to Den and WWF. You have done a great job of building up some of your midcard heels which makes the fans really happy when your upper level babyfaces beat them or you are able to produce more heat when the upper card heels come out on top of your midcard babyfaces that just got some shine on TV. Some huge appearances this week as we get Wahoo Back and see the debut of LeRoy Brown. Looking forward seeing how you use him. Awesome main events!! MACW is STAR-STUDDED!!
  19. Thanks for putting so much time and effort into this. Great reads so far.
  20. The Pleasuredome Challenge was awesome. I had a feeling it was Exotic Adrian coming out but it take anything away from the angle. Awesome promo by the Exotic One. This will be fun to follow in the coming weeks. Great to see the Nightmares back home! Embry finds away to keep his title but I liked how you had the CCW fans come up with new ways to get under the champs skin.... CHEATER! I bet the fans were fuming when the Bullet couldn't go and the Rich's left with the belts.... I am just going to sit back and get ready for a wild ride! Nice job of really showing the type of guy Magnum is as he jumps into the ring to help Dusty before he has to defend his world title. I could see how Sherri's flirting could distract a man. Will her group be able to get along... will be fun to watch. Anyway, the belt stays on Buddy which will be sure to give us some great promos in the coming weeks. The handshake to Stubbs.... very interesting move by T.A.... Can't wait to get more on this one. Great show as always!
  21. WOW.... week after week your promo skills amaze me. The opening with Stubbs and Landel and wheeling Ronnie out.... Awesome. Really good Eric Embry... like how he pointed out he is the best in the world. He better be ready for Prichard. Lanny... Woman... Solie.... really good. I like how Solie is starting to bother Lanny. WOW... the Fiesta Garden... between what was said, along with hot Sherri (also hot Woman) I think CCW is going to be shown after the kids go to bed. I enjoy your use of Ron Slinker. Very creative. WHAT A MAIN EVENT... PURE CHAOS! Can't wait for night of champions
  22. As I said before, really excited about the attention you are giving to the JR HW division. Embry added to the heat here and the match with El Santo Negro now has the fans attention. The Harts better be careful... Lucifer is one dangerous dude! Great contrast in styles here in this match. Like how you brought in Lex for the brawl as this is the top of guy who could deal with the P.oP. Love the Stipulations for the MIdnight Rockers and the pulled it off! They better be ready for the Andersons but they would also make great champs! Looking forward to seeing where this one goes. What a Main Event!!

IF YOU EVER WANT TO USE THE WOMEN, HE IS REALLY GOOD ABOUT SHARING.
  24. Madusa seems to need some help but what a story it would be if she goes out and destroys the Monsters all by herself. You do a great job here but Madusa vs The Monsters is awesme. I know Richter and a few other's dominated back then but really like how you made thia your own project.
  25. Boss Man and the Masked Avenger on the same side... great change of direction here in the last few weeks. Like how they didn't come out together. You have made Tracy Smothers into a real star. I always thought he was underrated and should have gotten a bigger push.
