  1. The biggest strike against doing a triple threat to me is that they have already done it in this title run for Roman, and it was only two years ago.
  2. Yes, but while it for some reason is exclusive to streaming on Peacock in the US, most people are watching it on cable and DVR. Also Peacock can't air any of the current or upcoming season until they're complete.
  3. Eddie Edwards suuuuucks and his turn into modern Tommy Dreamer (but with WERKRATE) also fucking sucks.
  4. That actually makes the opposite argument. It shows they'll buy anything.
  5. Went away when they stopped using that trope
  6. You mean the trope that the NWA used for decades?
  7. I don't think you can really say a guy who worked 200 nights a year for a decade staying in the shape he was always in didn't have passion for what he was doing. Passion doesn't mean being a great worker, although Lex certainly had stretches of time where he was quite capable. You can not do the bumping and traveling if you don't have a passion for what you're doing.
  8. Where does Jay White-O end up? TNA seems below him as his homebase, I feel like he gets lost in the shuffle in AEW and also is going to be 2 heel at best for a while for MJF's run. I do feel like he fits in the best in WWE, but also feel like he'd just be alternate brand Seth Rollins at any point in time, which probably isn't the worst thing to be. Both AEW and WWE have the built in Bullet Club angles with former leaders/members. It'll be interesting to see where he decides on.
  9. Legit I think the only guy who benefits being paired with Jericho is Jack Swagger, and that's only because he literally wouldn't even have a job otherwise.
  10. I don't know how anyone could defend or give a Jericho program the benefit of the doubt. His entire run has been very blatantly glomming onto a guy already getting a lot of buzz, then engaging in a never ending feud that stalls out the other guy's momentum. But he gets to then claim he "made them a star" while he goes on to do it to the next guy, who then needs 6-9 months to heat back up to where they were before the Jericho feud. Dude is the worst gatekeeper. He's also a guy that has needed to go away for months/years at a time pretty regularly for most of the past 15 years because of how stale he gets. He needs a long, long break from AEW TV.
  11. I appreciate Rush being the only guy (at least on US TV) of being on the juice but not being a body guy. That's a style of juicehead that seemed to vanish altogether after the steroid scandal in the early 90s.
  12. Bliss physically dominating Nia Jax at WM is an all timer
  13. I don't think you can be a pro wrestler without having a passion for it. At any level. The models and body guys that get into it just for the money always fail out pretty quickly.
  14. The Rumble angle was absolutely perfect. "Wah it was too long" fuck outta here, nerds.
  15. C’est de la bonne merde, mon pote.
  16. Jey can go to Canada, Jimmy is the one with all the DUIs.
  17. What if the end game is KO turning on Sami AGAIN because he's just a piece of shit who can't help himself from ruining Sami's life
  18. It's really baffling that Darby hasn't suffered some catastrophic bone break or head trauma in a match
  19. Joe/Darby series has been some of the most violent shit
  20. Running two "face has to run the gauntlet to face the heel" angles at the same time for the same PPV is...uh. Thatcher has some awfully cartoonish facials pretty much constantly, to the point where it felt like he could be a long lost member of the Vaudevillans. Seems very at odds with his in ring style. Maybe he was playing it up for TV and a new audience but it was very distracting.
  21. Drew's rehab was mostly putting on 60 pounds of muscle and not shaving his chest
  22. The lighting is way brighter now. Pretty much everyone was black base with color designs in the Attitude Era as well, because that's the easiest and cleanest look for just about everyone.
  23. Man, the missing the forest for the trees shit in here. There's only one THE GUY at any given time, but the supporting cast are absolutely integral to such a THE GUY, and guys like Sami and KO are every bit as important as Foley and Taker were to Austin/Rock, Savage/DiBiase were to Hogan. Sami has essentially been the acknowledged main character of WWE TV for months now by everyone doing media.
  24. The Saudi deal is gross, but lol. The reason Sami isn't main eventing Wrestlemania (as of right now, at least) is because it was a short term angle that caught on unexpectedly. You might have noticed he never main evented WM before the Saudi deal, either. Sami isn't going to be THE guy. He will point this out himself. He does not have "the look" a top guy in WWE in all eras has to have. However, that doesn't mean he can't be a top face, in the same way as Mick Foley and Daniel Bryan weren't THE guys but were absolutely integral to their eras, and have a great title win moment. Or just score a win over Roman without the titles involved at all.
