Southeastern Championship Wrestling Ep. 5 From the WTVY Channel 4 Studios in Dothan, Alabama Airing on various stations across Alabama & Mississippi Pre-recorded airing on the weekend of 1/17/91 Host: Charlie Platt Co-Host: Joe Pedicino (the show opens with a montage of random Southeastern Wrestling clips from the different incarnations over the years, we then go to the desk to our hosts Charlie Platt and Joe Pedicino) Platt: Hello and welcome back once again to Southeastern Championship Wrestling, I'm Charlie Platt joined as always by my co-host the one and only, Joe Pedicino. Pedicino: Thank you Joe, it's my pleasure as alw…..(before Pedicino can finish, Ronnie P. Gossett and Eric Embry make their way out) Embry: Get out of the co-host's chair, FAT BOY! We beat the Junkyard Dog so now Ronald P. Gossett is officially the co-host of the show so Charlie Platt, give him a proper introduction like you did Pedicino! Platt: (puts his head in his hands for a moment) Fans, please welcome the man who apparently is going to be co-hosting this week's show…..Ronnie P. Gossett. RPG: Not just THIS week! Every week, I'll be here if JYD wants to go again we can beat him again and make Eric Embry the new HOST. Platt: Well, we'll talk more about this later but JYD is currently out of action due to the fireball your masked friend threw at him while the referee was down. RPG: My friend? Bob Armstrong is no friend of mine, he must have an old score to settle with JYD…… Platt: That wasn't Bob Armstrong! Embry: Platt, do you think we're stupid? Everyone has known for years that the Bullet is Bob Armstrong! Platt: Give me a break, that was Al Madril and you know it! RPG: Al Madril was barred from the building, he wasn't even there, in fact I was told that he had accompanied his friend El Toro to Mexico to handle some legal business for him. Alberto Madril is the number one lawyer in Mexico City and he's not even a Mexican. Platt: Ron, is this really happening with Gossett as co-host? (Fuller comes down from the control booth) Fuller: It was in the contract that if Embry won, Gossett would become the full time co-host. As far as all the Al Madril shenanigans I'm trying to see what can be done about that. (The People's Court theme plays and Alberto Madril comes out in his suit carrying his brief case) Madril: I have stood behind that curtain for as long as I could listening to you people slander my good name with false allegations about my alleged involvement in Birmingham when I wasn't even in these United States. I was in Mexico. Fuller: What were you doing in Mexico? Madril: Um, well….not that it's any of your business….allegedly…..uh, I went down there to help my friend Rey Misterio get custody of his son……Rey Misterio Jr. His wife…….Mrs…..Misterio is trying to leave and take the son with her and I'm his attorney in the matter, and legally that's all I'm allowed to say….you know due to……habeas corpus….allegedly. Fuller: Are you just repeating words you heard on Perry Mason? Madril: Overruled! Fuller: You can't overrule a question? Madril: Sustained. Fuller: What? Madril: I deny all charges of being the Bullet in Birmingham and ask that this case be dismissed on the grounds of alleged false pretenses in the third degree as outlined in the case of Ali vs. Frasier. Fuller: Boy, what the hell are you talking about? Madril: I request we take a recess! Fuller: Request granted, please leave! Madril: Thank you, your honor. (Madril runs away as Embry and Gossett look dumbfounded) Platt: Let's go to the ring…….please. ======================= MATCH #1: "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel pinned Roy Moss after a corkscrew elbow drop Gossett mentions on commentary that Landel is the only one of that Memphis bunch he has any respect for but as long as he's hanging around Bill Dundee and Dutch Mantell he'll be a loser. ======================= COMMERCIAL BREAK ======================= (The Memphis Mafia (Doug Gilbert/Dream Machine/JC Ice/Mike Miller) make their way into the interview area now led by Tommy Gilbert) Pedicino: Well, I had heard a rumor that you had turned up at some Southeastern events last week but here you are, to what do we owe the pleasure of your presence, Mr. Tommy Gilbert? TG: Well, since Bill Dundee decided to invoke my name here on television recently and quite frankly I was getting bored being retired, I decided I would hit the road and help guide my boy Doug and his friends here in their endeavors against this bunch of lowlifes their having issues with here in Southeastern. Pedicino: Are you aware, Tommy that these so called "bunch of lowlifes" as your referring to them are only here because of the havoc that your son and his cronies have been causing around here? JC Ice: Cronies? Who are you calling cronies, fat boy? No, the reason they are here is because my ex-father Bill Dundee can't keep his nose outta my business and his buddies Dutch and Buddy just follow him around so he can get them a job or else, Dutch would be drunk on a beach in Puerto Rico and Buddy would probably be overdosed in a hotel somewhere with a 'lady of the night'. Pedicino: Whoah, this isn't Memphis you can't just go around saying whatever you want on television down here. DG: Actually, yes we can Joe Pedicino because the Memphis Mafia does what we want, when we want, and to whoever we want and there's nothing you can do about it! There's nothing that bald headed geek Jerry Stubbs can do about it and there's nothing that big goof Ron Fuller can do about it. So if I just wanted to haul off and say right now that everybody knows that Mr. Olympia II is Brian Adias, you couldn't stop me! (Pedicino jerks away the microphone as Dundee and Miller die laughing) (Jerry Stubbs comes out) Stubbs: I'm about sick and tired of you guys already. Listen, I've signed an eight match tag team elimination match this Thursday in Birmingham with the four of you against Dundee, Landel, Mantell, and Olympia II. You guys can all go out there and beat each other to death but that's enough of you guys out here talking. You've got a match, get to the ring. ======================= MATCH #2: The Memphis Mafia (JC Ice/Doug Gilbert/Dream Machine/Mike Miller) w/Tommy Gilbert defeated Tommy Norris/The Starfighter/Phil Wilson/Benny McGhee when Miller pinned Wilson after a piledriver ====================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ====================== (Joe Pedicino brings out Bill Dundee, Buddy Landel, Dutch Mantel, and the Dream Machine to the interview area) Pedcino: Bill, Jerry Stubbs announced that big eight man tag team elimination match against Jamie and his Memphis Mafia this Thursday In Birmingham. Dundee: Joe, listen….I'm fine with having that match this week but I'm letting everybody know right here and now. I will not under any circumstances fight my boy, Jamie. I know he can be a bit of an a**hole, he's been one his entire life and most people will tell ya he gets it from his Daddy, but he's just going through a phase right now and I will not fight him under any circumstances. Landel: Look Bill, that's just fine. You won't have to fight that little a**hole because Dutch and I are going to be in a race to see which one of us can get our hands on him first and knock him out of this little 'phase' you say he's going through. Mantell: You got that right, he's been going through a phase since he was about eight years ago because he's always been a little smart mouth jerk that needed his teeth slapped out and as far as Tommy Gilbert showing up, Tommy Gilbert if you give me half the chance, we'll send you to a retirement home for good because you'll be bed ridden when I'm done with you. Pedicino: I noticed that Stubbs mentioned Mr. Olympia II will be your partner on Thursday, but I notice he's not joining you right now. Dundee: Look, I don't know much about Mr. Olympia II besides what Doug Gilbert said about him out here earlier but I was told he's not here today but he'll definitely be there Monday night and they say he's got an axe to grind with Mike Miller so that's just fine with us. ====================== MATCH #3: "Superstar" Bill Dundee/"Dirty" Dutch Mantell defeated Tojo Fargo/Bobby White when Dundee pinned White with a "Bombs Away" sit down splash off the top rope ====================== Charlie Platt goes over the "Southeastern on Tour" dates for the week ====================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ====================== ('Texas When I die" by Tanya Tucker plays as Team Texas make their way out) Pedicino: A rematch has been signed for Thursday night as Jimmy Jack Funk and Killer Brooks will face The Rich Cousins in a rematch but his week there will be a 30 minute time limit. Embry: That's just fine, that just means that Brooks and Funk have an extra 15 minutes they can beat on these two punks from Tennessee before they BEAT them! Now, let's get down to business. I am your Southeastern Heavyweight Champion which makes me a top contender to the USWA World Heavyweight Championship! So I'm issuing a challenge right now to Randy "Macho Man" Savage, I want my shot at the title and I don't care if you come here or I have to come up to Memphis, if you've got the guts to give me a shot, I'll be the new USWA World Heavyweight Champion. ("Pistol" Pez Whatley makes his way out) Whatley: Listen here Mr. Embry. Since now seems to be the time for challenges, allow ME to issue my own challenge to YOU for your USWA Southeastern Heavyweight title. Embry: Son, I'm not sure who you think you are, but you're not a contender for my title. You haven't beaten anyone to earn a shot at this title. Whatley: Boy, don't play dumb with me! You know who I am, you know who I've beaten. For starters, you used to have another member of yo' Texas Team out here called Kabuki who liked to spit in people's eyes and hit 'em with them karate sticks but I beat his butt and he quickly left town…..just for starters. Embry: Look son, it doesn't matter who you've beaten. You can't beat me and you haven't earned a shot so go challenge somebody you might have a chance against. Whatley: First of all, I ain't yo son. That's first and foremost. But how about this? Since I can't beat you and I can't beat nobody anyway…how bout you give me a non-title match right here today on TV instead of the scrub I'm supposed to wrestle and if what you say is true, I'll lose anyway and you'll have another win to show Randy Savage….but if you're a liar and I beat YOU, then I get a shot in Birmingham. RPG: Whatley, you are out of your element. Sure, you got lucky and beat my man Kabuki and I sent Kabuki back to Singapore to be punished for the loss, but you aren't in the league of "Flamboyant" Eric Embry. Whatley: Then what better way to prove it than to beat me on TV and shut my mouth. Come on Embry, show the "Macho Man" what you're all about. Embry: You know what……fine, let's do it. I'll beat you here today in the main event and then I'll have Thursday night off unless Savage wants to come give me my World title shot. Platt: Ok guys, we have another match scheduled right now, we'll get with General Manager Jerry Stubbs make this match official in place of the match Pez had scheduled with the Shadow here today. ======================== MATCH #4: The Bruise Brothers (Ron/Don Harris) defeated The Rock & Soul Express (Derrick Dukes/JT Southern) when Don Harris pinned Southern after a big boot to the face ======================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ======================== MATCH #5: MAIN EVENT NON-TITLE MATCH "Pistol" Pez Whatley pinned Southeastern Champion "Flamboyant" Eric Embry with a flying headbutt to earn a title shot this Thursday night in Birmingham Post match: Gossett leaves the desk to join Embry in having a breakdown in the ring as Whatley celebrates amongst the studio fans ========================= (CUT TO A RUNDOWN OF THIS THURSDAY'S CARD IN BIRMINGHAM) Southeastern Championship Wrestling Boutwell Auditorium Birmingham, Alabama Thursday January 22, 1991 Bell Time: 7pm **MAIN EVENT** EIGHT MAN ELIMINATION TAG TEAM MATCH "Dirty" Dutch Mantell "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel "Superstar" Bill Dundee Mr. Olympia II vs. The Memphis Mafia-w/Tommy Gilbert J.C. Southeastern Championship Wrestling Boutwell Auditorium Birmingham, Alabama Thursday January 15, 1991 Bell Time: 7pm Chaz Taylor pinned Terrance Garvin w/Dark Journey with a small package when Dark Journey attempt to disctract Chaz ended up distracting Garvin instead. Garvin and DJ had a heated argument all the way up the aisle leaving the ring. Return - U.S. Junior Heavyweight Championship (Both Al Madril & El Toro are barred from the building) Armando Guerrero pinned Vic Steamboat with a school boy roll up and a handful of tights, when Vic Steamboat became distracted about 8 minutes in when "Bad to the Bone" started to play in the arena and the masked man, Alabama fans know as the Bullet started making his way down the aisle, wearing a red satin jacket, gym shorts and a red mask with white trim and big letter 'B' on the top, once Guerrero got the pin, the Bullet turned and left. Ringside fans noted that the open mouth on the mask seemed to reveal an unfamiliar black moustache on the Bullet that he never had in the past. The Southern Rockers (Rex King/Steve Doll) defeated The Mercenaries (Fidel Sierra/Ron Starr) when King pinned Sierra with a sunset flip off the top rope. After the match, The Bruise Brothers (Ron/Don Harris) hit the ring and attacked the Southern Rockers leaving them laying SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH "Mean" Mike Miller pinned Mr. Olympia II when J.C. Ice came out and jumped on the apron distracting referee Larry Brock, allowing Doug Gilbert to run in and break a beer bottle over the head of Olympia II, Miller quickly covered him for the win SOUTHEASTERN TAG TEAM TITLES Team Texas (Jimmy Jack Funk/Killer Tim Brooks) w/RPG wrestled The Party Patrol (Johnny/Davey Rich) to a 15 minute time limit draw SEMI-MAIN EVENT SIX MAN TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCH "Superstar" Bill Dundee/"Dirty" Dutch Mantell/"Nature Boy" Buddy Landel defeated Jamie Dundee/Doug Gilbert/Dream Machine when Landel made Jamie Dundee submit to the figure leglock Post match: Mantel and Landel left ringside celebrating their victory, not realizing that Bill Dundee fell behind as Jamie laid in the ring clutching his leg yelling, "he broke it! He broke my damn leg!!" Bill Dundee remained around ringside as Gilbert and Graham checked on Jamie, Bill finally slid into the ring and pushed them out of the way to check on his son. Jamie continue to clutch his leg in pain as Bill tried to console when Jamie suddenly stopped yelling….and laughed, Bill looked around and realized he was surrounded by Doug Gilbert, Dream Machine, and now "Mean" Mike Miller who has also joined them……they all pounce on Bill Dundee as Jamie jumps up and joins in as well…..they put the boots to him and then pick him up and give him a spike piledriver before Buddy and Dutch come running back in to try and make the save but they are outnumbered and eventually fall victim to the numbers as well and are left laying as Eric Embry and Ronnie P. Gossett make their way down to the ring for their match but just point and laugh at the Memphis bunch all fighting amongst themselves. ***MAIN EVENT*** Southeastern Heavyweight Title (Embry's Title vs. RPG becoming Co-Host) "Flamboyant" Eric Embry w/RPG pinned The Junkyard Dog after the referee got bumped allowing the "The Bullet" to return to ringside and this time he threw a fireball into the face of JYD before retreating back to the locker room, referee William Faulk crawled over and made the three count. Jerry Stubbs and an EMT came out to attend to JYD after the match as Embry and Team Texas celebrated in the ring -

Southeastern Championship Wrestling Ep. 4 From the WTVY Channel 4 Studios in Dothan, Alabama Airing on various stations across Alabama & Mississippi Pre-recorded airing on the weekend of 1/10/91 Host: Charlie Platt Co-Host: Joe Pedicino (the show opens with a montage of random Southeastern Wrestling clips from the different incarnations over the years, we then go to the desk to our hosts Charlie Platt and Joe Pedicino) Platt: Hello and welcome back once again to Southeastern Championship Wrestling, I'm Charlie Platt joined as always by my co-host the one and only, Joe Pedicino. Pedicino: Charlie, it's great to be here and I know we're all still reeling from all the wild action this past Thursday at the Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham. Platt: Wild is an understatement! We have a new Southeastern Heavyweight Champion and "Dirty" Dutch Mantell will not be able to challenge for the Southeastern Championship for the remainder of his tenure with the company. Pedicino: That is true but it would also seem Dutch is no longer associated with the Memphis Mafia. (Before Platt can respond, JC Ice, Doug Gilbert, and the Dream Machine make their way out) Ice: For once in your life Joe Alpacino, you speak the truth! Low down dirty Dutch Mantell is no longer associated with the Memphis Mafia but we'll get to that in a minute! I wanna know whose big idea it was to bring my father into this promotion and make him the special referee for the title match last week? Was it that bald headed geek Jerry Stubbs? Or was it that big lanky wannabe cowboy, the Tennessee Dud, Ron Fuller? All my life, I had to grow up, "Bill Dundee's Boy". Nobody ever saw, "Jamie Dundee", they just saw Bill Dundee's kid. No one ever asked me how I was doing, they always asked me, "how's your Dad?" Then I got in the rasslin business and people still just saw me as "Dundee's kid". I would always try to go territories as far away from him as I could, but sooner or later he would show up there or I would find out that he was trying to control my career from behind the scenes. I'm sick to death of it, and I finally told him to his face at Thanksgiving that I was going to Southeastern, I was changing my name and to stay the hell outta my business! Then what does he do? I watch AWA SuperClash and see him get beat by Don Muraco and apparently he catches the first train to Alabama to come and once again interfere in my life. (The crowd suddenly cheers as Bill Dundee enters the studio) BD: Listen Jamie.... Ice: Old man, I'm sick of telling you! My name is J.C. Ice Baby, Jamie Dundee is dead! BD: Listen son, whatever it is you wanna call yourself and whatever goofy stuff you do to your hair and whatever silly clothes you wanna wear you're still my son and I still love ya and that won't ever change. Gilbert: I don't think a four foot tall midget with a mullet in an Elvis jumpsuit has any room to call anything goofy or silly. BD: First of all, Doug Gilbert this don't concern you! I'm surprised you can still manage to ride Eddie’s coattaiils from down here in Alabama. If your Daddy, Tommy Gilbert cared anything about you he'd be down here trying to straighten you out. Gilbert: Bill Dundee, you haven't earned the right to speak the name of Tommy Gilbert, you sawed off little...(JC Ice cuts him off) Ice: I got this Dougie, don't let him get to you too. Bill Dundee, I'm not your boy anymore, I don't want anything to do to you, so I suggest you pick another territory and go wrestle there and steer clear of the Memphis Mafia. BD: Memphis Mafia? What do you know about the mafia. Listen son, I'm trying to help you avoid the mistakes I made in my life and career. Look at these two clowns you've got with you! Troy Graham's brain is so fried he doesn't know where he is any more and Doug Gilbert’s own brother doesn't want him with him in the USWA! (Gilbert and Dream Machine attack Bill Dundee, Ice hangs back for a moment. He grabs a chair but hesistates....then swings it right into the head of his father splitting his head wide open! Dutch Mantell hits the studio cracking his whip "shoo baby" and the Memphis Mafia quickly disperse.) Platt: What a disgusting display by Jamie Dundee joining his cronies in attacking his father once again, just like he did Thursday night in Birmingham. Pedicino: Disgusting is right, Charlie. My question is this? Will Bill Dundee be willing to fight back against his son? I don't know that he will. Platt: Great point Joe. Right now, we have to take a break. We'll be back with our opening match. ============================ COMMERCIAL BREAK ============================ (Before the next match, a clip from Thursday night airs showing Mike Miller's heinous attack on Mr. Olympia II after he no-showed the tag team match against the Mercenaries) --------------------------------------------- MATCH #1: "Mean" Mike Miller defeated Derrick Dukes by DQ, when Mr. Olympia II hit the ring about 4 minutes in and attacked Miller seeking revenge for what took place last Thursday night! Miller and Olympia brawl around the studio and out into the parking lot. ============================ (Joe Pedicino is joined in the interview area by Dark Journey/Terrance Garvin) Pedicino: Dark Journey, I see you have Terrance Garvin with you this week, where is the "California Stud" Rod Price? DJ: Not that it's any of your business, but Rod Price is currently on a tour of Japan and will be back in a couple of weeks. However, he did leave specific instructions for Mr. Garvin to "get his act together" before he returns. Garvin: Excuse me? He said what? DJ: Rod was quite upset that you lost us two different opportunities at the Southeastern Tag Team titles. Garvin: Ok, first of all neither of those loses were my fault and second of all, what good would it have done us to win the tag titles if we was going to run off to Japan anyway? Pedinco: He does have a point… DJ: SHUT UP PEDICINO! You stay out of this! Listen, Terry……I scheduled you match on television today as an opportunity to prove yourself to both me and Rod Price. You NEED to win this match! Garvin: YOU scheduled me a match? When? DJ: Now Garvin: Now? Against who? (DJ points to the ring where Chaz Taylor is making his way into the studio) Garvin: This is outrageous! Pedicino: Folks, we'll be right back with Terrance Garvin vs…….Chaz Taylor. ====================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ====================== MATCH #2: Chaz Taylor defeated Terrance Garvin w/Dark Journey by DQ when Garvin hit Chaz with with a blatant low blow in front of the referee. Dark Journey was clearly not pleased and giving Garvin an earful as they left the ring ====================== (The song "Texas (when I die)" by Tanya Tucker plays in the studio as Ronnie P. Gossett comes out wearing a cowboy hat and a western style shirt and cowboy boots as both Jimmy Jack Funk and Killer Tim Brooks are waving Texas state flags, moments later the new Southeastern Heavyweight Champion "Flamboyant" Eric Embry comes out wearing a flashy new robe with the Southeastern Championship belt draped over his shoulder) RPG: I can't believe we are this far into this television show before you bring out YOUR Southeastern Heavyweight Champion! Ladies and Gentlemen, and I use that term loosely. Whether you are here in the studio or at home in your trailer park, get on your feet and show respect to YOUR Champion! Embry: Thank you Ronald for that proper introduction! Finally, you people have a Champion you can be proud of....finally you have a Champion who doesn't bark like a dog and embarrass the entire business every time he steps out in public. Platt: Um, Champ. Before you get too far down the road of insulting the former champion, you realize you have a rematch with the Junkyard Dog this Thursday, right? RPG: No, no, no Charlie Platt! You are misinformed. This man has thirty days to make a title defense, he's not putting that belt on the line this week against anyone much less the Junkyard Dog. Platt: Well, according to the General Manager, Jerry Stubbs the match is booked. Embry: First of all, I haven't signed a contract to defend this title and Second of all, we only deal with Ron Fuller, we go straight to the horse's head, we don't deal with the horse's ass. Jerry Stubbs, don't dictate nothin' to me! (Stubbs makes his way out) Stubbs: Ron Fuller isn't here today, he's off handling other business but he told me he wants this match this Thursday night in Birmingham. Embry: Well, tough luck Stubbs. He ain't getting that match unless I sign a contract for it and you ain't getting me to sign a contract for that match, not happenin man! (Gossett leans in and whispers something Embry, Embry makes a face but after further discussion, he seems to like RPG's suggestion and hands Gossett the mic) RPG: Look, if you want to do what Mr. Fuller asked of you....there's only one way it's happening, because you can't force Eric Embry to defend this title for 30 days, but if there's something in it for us....you'll get your match and your boss won't find out just yet that you're in over your head and can't handle this job. Stubbs: (hesistates then speaks) What are you asking for? RPG: If JYD wins, he's the new champion but WHEN Eric Embry beats JYD, I become the full time co-host of this television show. Platt: Oh, good Lord....Jerry, please don't agree to that. (Another One Bites the Dust by Queen plays and out comes the Junkyard Dog) JYD: Olympia, you and I go way back, brother. I lost my title last week without even being in the ring in some sorta stupid three match that never should have happened. You give me this match and the Dog will win back that belt! That's a promise. Stubbs: Dog, I wouldn't do this for anyone else but I'm going to go write this contract up. As long as you both sign it, it's happening. (Team Texas leaves to their song all smiles) ==================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ==================== MATCH #3: WINNERS GET A TAG TEAM TITLE SHOT THIS THURSDAY The Party Patrol (Johnny/Davey Rich) defeated The Bruise Brothers (Ron/Don Harris) when Johnny pinned Don Harris with a 'Thesz Press" ============================ (Jerry Stubbs comes out to the desk) Stubbs: After what took place earlier on this show, the Dream Machine issued a challenge to Bill Dundee to a one on one match in our Main Event here on TV today. Dundee in turn challenged them to a six man tag team match this Thursday in Birmingham with Bill/Dutch Mantell/a Mystery Partner taking on Doug Gilbert/Dream Machine/Jamie Dundee! Surprisingly, they have accepted so it's been added to the card! ==================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ==================== MATCH #4: Vic Steamboat pinned Freight Train McClain with a flying bodypress off the top rope ==================== (As Steamboat prepares to exit the ring, the People's Court theme plays and out comes Alberto Madril - Attorney at Law) Pedicino: Mr. Madril, what brings you out here, you're not scheduled to be here. Madril: I am here on behalf of my client, Armando Guerrero the United States Junior Heavyweight Champion. Victor Showboat, there's no reason you should be getting a rematch this week with my client but a contract came across my desk where you are getting a rematch with ME barred from the building and for some reason that I can't begin to figure out, my favorite lucha wrestler El Toro is also barred from the building as well, meaning he can't wrestle and make money for his family back in Mexico. Steamboat: Oh, come off it Madril. Everyone saw it was you when the "Latin Love Machine's" mask came off. Everyone knows El Toro is YOU and everyone knows any other so called "masked luchadore" that shows up around here will be you too. Madril: How DARE you!?!? I have never worn a mask in my life, covering this face would be the only crime I've ever commited! Steamboat: Well, I'll see you hear next week when I'm the NEW U.S. Jr. Heavyweight Champion, when I have Guerrero one on one this week. Madril: I OBJECT! Steamboat: OVERRULED! Madril: Son of a………..DAMMIT! (storms off) ==================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ==================== MAIN EVENT MATCH #5 "Superstar" Bill Dundee VS. The Dream Machine Highlights: Bill Dundee hits the ring wide open and tears right into the Dream Machine! It's a wild brawl and Dundee is getting the best of Graham until Doug Gilbert and J.C. Ice Baby run in to help. They beat down on Bill Dundee three on one for a few moments until Dutch Mantell hits the ring followed by what Charlie Platt assumes is Dundee/Mantell's mystery partner……"Nature Boy" Buddy Landel! The odds are now even and after a few moments, the Memphis Mafia retreat from the ring. Dundee and company go to the interview area with Joe Pedicino. Pedicino: Well guys, it looks the mystery partner may no longer be a mystery. Landel: I really hated to spoil the surprise for Thursday but there wasn't any way in the world I was going to sit back and look at the monitor and watch those three goofs attack my old pal, "Superstar" Bill Dundee! Billy, I've been telling you that boy of yours ain't right since he got a DUI driving home from kindergarten. Pedicino: He was driving in kindergarten? Mantell: To be fair, he was sixteen at the time. (Buddy and Dutch have a good laugh) Dundee: (chuckles) Alright you two, listen….Jamie is a good boy, he just needs me to give him a bit of an attitude adjustment. Landel: Well, I can promise you one thing, if I get my hands on him down there Thursday night, I'll give him more than a attitude adjustment, and as for the other two, we'll show you boys that WE'RE the REAL Memphis Mafia, you guys are the Memphis Jabroni boys. Pedicino: Fans, here's the full card, we'll see you there on Thursday! ======================== Southeastern Championship Wrestling Boutwell Auditorium Birmingham, Alabama Thursday January 15, 1991 Bell Time: 7pm ***MAIN EVENT*** Southeastern Heavyweight Title (Embry's Title vs. RPG becoming Co-Host) "Flamboyant" Eric Embry w/RPG VS. It's fun to see what you do with people I actually know like Bruno, Nate, Shane Morton and Tasha. Looking forward to seeing this promotion grow and unfold as you move forward. -
Looking forward to seeing where you go with this in 1991.

PCW off to great start in 1991 here....... I love seeing that the "Sons of the Beach" carried on in PCW after my short lived Florida promotion folded. Fun match with News/Sandman facing Scotty the Body/Chris Candido (a fan team I never knew I needed until now) I like the idea of a "submission" title for this promotion, what a match for the title between Gordy/Kawada. Great place for me to start with this title. Too Cold Scorpio vs. the Lightning Kid is one of those matches that should have happened on PPV, somewhere but didn't. Cool we're getting it here. Speaking of "dream matches", The Thrillseekers vs. Midnight Express and Barry Windham vs. Bret Hart are two more matches we never got that's awesome we're getting them here. Other highlights from the other nights: Kawada vs Lance Storm for the Submission title The Thunder Dragons are a dream team for sure facing another one in the Kid and Eddie Guerrrero

Starrcade is here signifying the end of the year for WCW. Demolition vs. the Samoans is great hard hitting way to kick off the show. Big win for the DEMOS. Wow, I've been away for a while and wasn't expecting to see the Undertaker vs. Big Josh in WCW, but here we are, Taker wins with a tombstone so all is right with world. Sid over El Gigante! Nuff said! as it should be! Big win for Flyin' Brian becoming TV champion! Can't wait to see what's in store for Pillman in '91. Curt Hennig vs. Ricky Steamboat in 1990 is the definition of a "Dream Match"......doesn't even matter who won because the fans who saw this one Sting retains the WCW title over Luger in the cage, perfect! We appear to have some great things in store with WCW in 1991, FAR better than what 1991 WCW IRL gave us!

Solid card for the "last stand". Stunning Steve and Madusa make one helluva team, although Wallstreet and Nakano are no joke either, Austin and Madusa pull off the win. I'll have to read back through some of the previous results to see the Destruction Company is, but if they're going 25 minutes with the Rock & Roll Express, they have to be top notch. Jerry Lawler gets the DQ win over Tommy Rich when Eddie Gilbert interferes which prompts Brian Christopher to attempt to make the save for dear old Dad (some of my all time favorites involved here!) Honky Tonk had other plans but thankfully Austin and the Rock & Rolls show up to make the save but too little too late. Macho Man retains the USWA World title over Big Bossman in a great main event. Perfect card for USWA to end the year on, looking forward to seeing what's in store for 1991

Wow, SuperClash really delivered with two HUGE nights of action! You've got some really fun tag teams going here with the Bunkhouse Boys, the two Marcs, Latin Desire, The Heavenly Bodies, The Enforcers, Garvin/Slater and the list goes on! Great depth in the tag roster. Austin's Idols....tremendous, why did I never think of that! David Sammartino defending the TV title against Gama Singh with Alyssa Milano as the special guest ring announcer. What a great early 90s feel, i can just see this unfolding on an AWA SuperClash! Hansen vs. Bundy- I can just envision this hard hitting match, this would have been a draw for me for sure. Great finish on the tag team title match! I can imagine the pop with Garvin/Slater hold up those belts. Great way to wrap up NIGHT 1 of SuperClash! Belinda Carlisle back for night 2! In my mind, I'd like to think she partied all night the previous night with Larry Nelson. Hard hitting Boot Camp match with Carlos and DeBeers, I love the variety that your shows provide. There's literally something for everyone no matter what style of match they came to see. Armando is quite proud of the win for his brothers over the Tribal Nation! Wow, what an attack by Shawn Michaels following Kerry's big win over Spivey. Shawn is in rare form here superkicking Kerry's head into the ring post! Let's hope Kerry didn't suffer any (more) brain damage! What a Night 2 Main Event, Perhaps the biggest match in Dawn of War history, Hogan vs. Flair for the AWA World Title with Don King and Malcolm Jamal-Warner involved! What a write up, it was like literally getting to watch the match play out! What a main event, poor Hulkster gets screwed over by Gerry Morrow, let's hope there's not hidden cameras or microphones in the Hulkster's dressing room that night if you know what I mean. Another amazing SuperClash weekend

Southeastern Championship Wrestling Boutwell Auditorium Birmingham, Alabama Thursday January 8, 1991 Bell Time: 7pm SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH Chaz Taylor pinned El Toro with a backslide U.S JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Armando Guerrero pinned Vic Steamboat with a school boy roll up and a handful of tights when a very sweaty and discheveled Al Madril came to ringside and distracted Steamboat allowing Guerrero to sneak the win TAG TEAM #1 CONTENDERS BATTLE ROYAL - when one member of a team is eliminated, the team is eliminated The Bruise Brothers (Ron/Don Harris) The Party Patrol (Johnny/Davey Rich) The Memphis Mafia (Doug Gilbert/Dream Machine) The Southern Rockers (Steve Doll/Rex King) Rod Price/Terrance Garvin The Rock & Soul Express (JT Southern/Derrick Dukes) Order of eliminations: The Rock & Soul Express when Don Harris tossed Dukes out of the ring Rod Price/Terrance Garvin when Steve Doll threw out Garvin The Southern Rockers when Ron Harris threw Rex King over the top rope The Bruiser Brothers when Doug Gilbert & Johnny Rich worked together to toss Ron Harris out The Party Patrol were eliminated when J.C. Ice got up on the ring apron, Davey knocked Dundee off the apron but Dream Machine ran up behind Davey at the same time and threw him out! ***WINNERS*** The Memphis Mafia (Doug Gilbert/Dream Machine) GRUDGE TAG TEAM MATCH Mr. Olympia II/"Mean" Mike Miller VS. The Mercenaries (Ron Starr/Fidel Sierra) As the next match gets set to be underway, The Mercenaries make their way out to the ring. Mr. Olympia II comes to the ring alone, he says that "Mean" Mike Miller is having some transportation problems but he's enroute to the Boutwell Auditorium and Olympia says he's willing to start the match and is confident Miller will arrive any minute. The bell rings and the match begins. Olympia fairs well in the opening minutes of the match but finally the numbers catch up to him allowing Starr and Sierra to tag in and out to work him over. They spend 7 or 8 minutes that felt like 30 working over Olympia before Starr finally mercifully put Olympia away with a swinging neck breaker. As the Mercenaries are leaving ringside, "Mean" Mike Miller comes running down the aisle with his axe handle, causing the Mercenaries to run in the opposite direction. Miller enters the ring to check on Olympia II, Miller helps him to his feet and pats him on the back and then KICKS HIM right between the legs. (the crowd instantly reacts with a chorus of boos) Miller picks him back up and gives him a piledriver. Miller then sits Olympia up and starts to untie his mask but GM Jerry Stubbs along with the Richs, King, and Doll all run in and Miller decides to make his exit. (As Miller starts to head up the aisle, Joe Pedicino stops him with a microphone) Pedicino: Mike Miller, we were all shocked to see you save Mr. Olympia II and agree to be his partner, but why did you attack him after no showing the tag team match. Miller: (Miller glares at Joe, then looks around at the audience) I have my reasons. (with that Miller exits) LUMBERJACK MATCH "Pistol" Pez Whatley pinned The Great Kabuki w/RPG with the flying headbutt. At one point after some blatant interference, Promoter Ron Fuller came out and banned RPG and the members of 'Team Texas' from ringside for the remainder of the match. SEMI-MAIN EVENT Southeastern Tag Team Championship Team Texas (Jimmy Jack Funk/Killer Tim Brooks) w/RPG VS. (WINNERS OF THE TAG TEAM BATTLE ROYAL) The Memphis Mafia (Doug Gilbert/Dream Machine) w/J.C. Ice Baby This match was out of control from the opening bell, all four men started brawling until it spilled out of the ring and all around ringside. Referee Larry Brock tried as he might to get this fight settled into a proper tag match but after a few minutes of continued brawling, he had to declare the match a 'no contest'. Before the main event, once all the contestants and their managers were in the ring, GM Jerry Stubbs made his way down to the ring. He first announced that J.C. Ice and Ronnie P. Gossett will be handcuffed to the ring post in opposite corners. J.C. Ice and Gossett both protest away as Ron Fuller himself comes down and locks the handcuffs on each one. Stubbs then defers to Fuller to announce the Special Referee. Fuller then asks everyone in the Boutwell Auditorium to join him in welcoming our special referee for this Southeastern Championship Match….."Superstar" Bill Dundee! J.C. Ice is beside himself with anger screaming, "I came here to get away from you!!" **MAIN EVENT** Southeastern Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match SPECIAL REFEREE: "Superstar" Bill Dundee Junkyard Dog VS. "Flamboyant" Eric Embry w/RPG VS. "Dirty" Dutch Mantell w/J.C. Ice Baby **the Finish** After what could only be described as an "awkward" main event, Gossett started freaking out at ringside and waving frantically towards the dressing rooms, Jimmy Jack Funk ran down and jumped up on the ring apron, momentarily distracting referee Bill Dundee, as that was happening, Doug Gilbert ran down with a set of bolt cutters and freed Ice from the ring post, Ice grabbed a steel chair and slid into the ring, he drew back to swing the chair at his Dad's head but Bill ducked causing Jamie to strike Dutch Mantell in the head laying him out!! Embry shoved JYD from behind into J.C. Ice causing them both to go crashing to the floor, allowing Embry to cover Dutch as Bill Dundee reluctantly counted….1…2…3! New Southeastern Heavyweight Champion "Flamboyant" Eric Embry Embry, Gossett, and Funk leave ringside celebrating with the championship belt. Back in the ring, Doug Gilbert and Dream Machine stand over the fallen Dutch Mantell, checking on him. J.C. Ice returned to the ring to check on Dutch but Gilbert turns and shoves him yelling "What the hell is your problem?" Dream Machine shoves him as well and accuses J.C. of "turning" on the Memphis Mafia, just as it appeared things were about to get physical, Bill Dundee climbs back into the ring and gets between Jamie and his former partners ready to even the odds for his son……Gilbert and Graham start to back off when suddenly, Jamie Dundee blasts his father from behind knocking him to the mat, as Gilbert, Graham, and Ice start putting the boots to Bill Dundee….by now Dutch Mantell is trying to regain his senses and re-entered the ring with his bullwhip. He instructs his partners to "stand back, Dundee is mine!" The Memphis Mafia stop and take a step back for Dutch to take his shot. Dutch looks around, and strikes Dundee with his bullwhip! Only he didn't hit BILL Dundee, he hit JAMIE Dundee, and he then whipped Doug Gilbert and then Dream Machine as they scurried away with Jamie in tow back to the locker room! The crowd cheered Dutch on as he went over and offered to help Bill Dundee up off the mat. Bill was hesitant but after a few moments he took Dutch's hand and allowed him to pull him back up to his feet as the Birmingham fans cheered them both. -

Southeastern Championship Wrestling Ep. 3 From the WTVY Channel 4 Studios in Dothan, Alabama Airing on various stations across Alabama & Mississippi Pre-recorded airing on the weekend of 1/3/91 Host: Charlie Platt Co-Host: Joe Pedicino (the show opens with a montage of random Southeastern Wrestling clips from the different incarnations over the years, we then go to the desk to our hosts Charlie Platt and Joe Pedicino) Platt: Hello and welcome back once again to Southeastern Championship Wrestling, I'm Charlie Platt and it's my pleasure to introduce my co-host the one and only, Joe Pedicino. Pedicino: Thank you Charlie, we have a big show in store for everyone this week. The new Southeastern Tag Team Champions 'Team Texas," "Killer" Tim Brooks and Jimmy Jack Funk will be in action today here in the studio. Platt: That's right, we'll also hear from the U.S. Junior Heavyweight Champion Armando Guerrero and I feel like we'll be hearing from his so-called attorney as well. Pedicino: It will be interesting to see if Alberto Madril is here, because we're scheduled to see Armando's friend "El Toro" in action today as we'll be seeing Armando and El Toro taking on Vic Steamboat and Chaz Taylor in a tag team match Platt: That should be a great contest. Now if you weren't able to be in Birmingham on New Year's, I'm sure you're curious about how things turned out in the Southeastern Title match between the Junkyard Dog and Eric Embry. Things got completely out of hand as …. (Before Platt could finish that sentence, Ronnie P. Gossett and Eric Embry came out) RPG: Things got out of hand? That's an understatement. That sawed off little runt, Jamie Dundee came out there and he had a bunch of Memphis rejects with him and they cost Eric Embry the Southeastern title. Platt: So, you're saying if they hadn't came along, Embry would be the new champion? Embry: First of all, that's MR. Embry to you and yeah man….I would be wearing that belt right here and now if those goofs hadn't interfered! (This brings out Jamie Dundee and "Dirty" Dutch Mantell) ICE: Let's get one thing straight from the jump, My name is J.C. Ice Baby, Jamie Dundee was my slave name and he's no longer around. Now that I've set that straight, the fact of the matter is, MR. Embry…..if we hadn't shown up when we did your butt woulda been pinned by JYD, but make no mistake we weren't there to help YOU or to please any of these nothing happening Alabama rednecks…..the Memphis Mafia is here for US! RPG: The best thing the Memphis Mafia can do is take your butts to Memphis and beg the USWA to book you because Ronnie P's Team Texas rules Southeastern. Dutch: Listen here, Humpty Dumpty. We aren't going anywhere but to the top. I just happened to have Ron Fuller fax me one of those open contracts that JYD hauled off and signed last week and this week I'm the one getting the shot against JYD this Thursday night. Embry: No…no…no! I signed one of those contracts that Jerry Stubbs brought ME, so I'M getting another shot at JYD this Thursday night! (Jerry Stubbs comes out shaking his head) Stubbs: Look, I just spoke with Ron Fuller up in the control booth and we've screwed up. Ron did send a contract to Eric unbeknownst to me and I had Dutch sign one yesterday. So, the only fair thing we know to do is to let you two wrestle each here today and the winner will challenge JYD on Thursday in Birmingham. Dutch: Now wait a damn minute, Jerry. I didn't sign a contract for a number one contender's match….I signed a contract for a title shot and that's what I'm getting or you'll hear from my lawyer. Embry: Damn right, I didn't sign for any number one contender's match either, I've got an attorney too! (the theme from "the People's Court" plays) Stubbs: Madril, what are you doing out here? Madril: I'm here to help you settle this out of court, for a small fee of course. Look, I was down in Mexico recently, watching my 'good friend', El Toro in action and I saw something down there called a 'Triple Threat' match. It was a match where three men wrestled each other at once. This seems like a perfect scenario for Southeastern to have a 'Triple Threat" match. ICE: Hey Cheech, do us all a favor right now. I heard your buddy, El Toro is scheduled to be here today. How about you call him out here right now and let him explain to us how a Triple Threat match works. Embry: Dundee, does your Daddy know you snuck out of the house to hitchhike to Alabama to try and play rassler. You need to shut your mouth while grown folks are talkin, man. Al, that sounds like one helluva idea because my understanding of that match is…..I can pin Dutch Mantell and still win the title without pinning the Dog, is that right? Madril: That's exactly right. Three men, one fall. One champion. I could even be the special referee. Stubbs: I'm going to take this idea to Ron Fuller and get a ruling on it, but YOU will NOT be the special referee! Madril: I OBJECT! Stubbs: Overruled! Madril: DAMMIT!! (storms off) Stubbs: I'm going to go talk to Ron Fuller and see if we can make this official. BUT, if you guys come out here and interrupt this show again or if any fights break out among the Texas bunch and the Memphis bunch….you'll all be suspended and both contracts will be null and void! ====================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ====================== MATCH #1: "Pistol" Pez Whatley pinned The Shadow after a flying headbutt Post match: Joe Pedicino catches up to Whatley at ringside Pedicino: After what took place last week, Jerry Stubbs has signed a Lumberjack Match between you and the Great Kabuki. Pez: Listen here, KAABOOOKIE, I'm gonna whoop yo tail all over that ring and there won't be nowhere for you to run and nowhere to hide with all them lumberjacks around the ring. You think you real tough spitting green stuff in people's face, well listen here, SUCKAH…..you better give your soul to the good lord because Thursday night yo a** belongs to me! (big pop from the studio crowd) ====================== MATCH #2: SECW Tag Team Champions 'Team Texas' (Killer Brooks/Jimmy Jack Funk) w/Ronnie P. Gossett defeated Tojo Fargo/Vance Langford when Funk pinned Langford after a knee drop off the 2nd rope to the throat ====================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ====================== MATCH #3: The Memphis Mafia (Doug Gilbert/Dream Machine) w/J.C. Ice Baby defeated The Rock & Soul Express (JT Southern/Derrick Dukes) when Gilbert hit Dukes with a chain while Dundee distracted the referee, allowing Graham to pin Dukes (Post match: Joe Pedicino approaches the Memphis Mafia at ringside) Pedicino: I've just been informed by our General Manager Jerry Stubbs that you guys have been entered into the six team, Tag Team Battle Royal on Thursday night in Birmingham where the winning team will get a shot at the Southeastern Tag Team titles later that same night. Ice: Of course, you're looking at the greatest tag team in the entire southeast right here, Doug Gilbert and the 'Dream Machine' Troy Graham! Those stupid Texans think they got a chance against us? You got one guy that thinks he's the 'Lone Ranger' and the other guy is so old, he was in the curtain jerker when David fought Goliath. Then they got that big fat Humpty Dumpty manager of theirs, Ronnie P. Gossett…..Gossett, if you get near me on Thursday night I'll knock you out! Pedicino: Then why were you running from him last Monday night? Ice: (Dundee lunges at Pedicino as Gilbert & Graham hold him back) HEY FAT BOY, you wanna try to cute with me? I can knock your big fat butt out too! That was strategy when I was running from him, to keep him busy and possibly kill him from a heart attack without getting a murder charge, you idiot! (Jerry Stubbs comes out) Stubbs: Settle down, Dundee or I'll have you thrown out of here! Listen, I came out here to announce that Ron Fuller has made it official. On Thursday night, there will be a Triple Threat match for the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship as Junkyard Dog will defend against both Eric Embry and Dutch Mantell in the same match, but to make it interesting…if either Embry or Mantell get pinned, that person will not get another shot at the title for the remainder of his time with the company. Ice: "WHAT?? Make it interesting?? What the hell are you talking about?? (Gossett comes waddling out followed by Embry) RPG: Has Ron Fuller lost his mind?? We didn't agree to this!! You have to change this!! Is Madril going to be the special referee? (Ron Fuller makes his way into the studio) Fuller: You know, it seems awful funny to me that you guys had a whole lotta confidence when you were both out here demanding title shots earlier in the show, but now it sounds like Gossett and Dundee that neither of you have any confidence in your guys and that you know it's not a matter of IF JYD pins one of your guys, it's just a matter of which one. (Mantell makes his way out as Embry grabs a microphone) Embry: Ron Fuller, the only question about Thursday night is…..which one of those two I'M going to pin! Will it be "Dummy" Dutch or the Junkyard Jerk! Either way I will walk out of the Boutwell Auditorium the new Southeastern Heavyweight Champion and then I want a shot at the USWA World title! Mantell: Well let me tell YOU something Eric not so SLIMbry! (Jerry Stubbs puts his head in his hands) I'll just come right out and say it, I'm NOT going to pin the Dog, because I'm going to pin YOU to ensure you never get another shot that title! RPG: You didn't answer my question! Will Al Madril be the special referee since you're taking his suggestion for this three way match, then you have to let him be the ref! Fuller: Gossett, do you really think I'd never heard of a three way match before that goofball brought it up? NO, I don't have to let Madril be the special referee and I'm not! However, there will be a special guest referee for this match. RPG: Who!?! Who is it?? ICE: Yeah Fuller, spill it! Whose the referee going to be? Fuller: You'll find out Thursday night when he enters the ring and not a moment before! Embry: What a load of crap, Fuller! I could beat those two guys at the same time any day of the week but you putting some handpicked crooked referee in there, that's not fair! Mantell: Embry, you have never woke up and opened your eyes to see the day you could beat me, much less me and the Junkyard Dog. If you're scared then drop out and we'll have a singles match. Embry: Oh sure, you'd love that wouldn't ya, I don't care who the ref is, that belt is going home with me! Fuller: ENOUGH!! The two of you children can agree to the conditions of this match OR as of this moment neither of you will EVER get a title shot as long as I own Southeastern rasslin. Ice: FINE! Let's go boys, after Monday night we'll have the Heavyweight title AND the tag team titles! (Memphis Mafia leave) RPG: Fuller, what is it going to take for me to be the co-host of this show? Fuller: Hell freezing over or me selling the company to somebody who has no class and doesn't care if anyone watches the show. RPG: Hmm, good to know. (Team Texas makes their exit) Fuller: Well, when you boys hit that curtain, keep going. You're done for the day and I don't want to hear anything else out of ANY of you. Charlie, let's get another match going, please. =========================== MATCH #4: Mr. Olympia II defeated Tommy Norris by DQ when the Mercenaries (Ron Starr/Fidel Sierra) hit the ring and attacked Olympia mid match, after a few moments, "Mean" Mike Miller hit the ring with an ax handle and cleaned house on the Mercenaries. (Post match: Joe Pedicino caught up to Olympia II and Miller, Joe asked Miller why he's been coming to the aid of Mr. Olympia II. Miller just calmly states, "I have my reasons……where's Jerry Stubbs?" Pedicino points across the studio and the "interview" is over) =========================== MAIN EVENT MATCH #5: U.S. Jr Champion Armando Guerrero/El Toro vs. Vic Steamboat/Chaz Taylor (Before the match could start, GM Jerry Stubbs made his way out and took the microphone) Stubbs: Hey, Mando. Before this match gets started, I need a favor. I need you to call your attorney out here, I need to speak to him right now. (Armando looks panicked and El Toro even seems a bit uneasy, Armando asks for a mic) Armando: He's not here. Stubbs: What do you mean he's not here? He was out here earlier in the show with Gossett. Armando: (confers with El Toro) He WAS here but he left. He had to go to court. Stubbs: He had to go to court at 9 o'clock at night? (Armando leans in and Toro whispers something to him) Armando: Haven't you seen that show, "Night Court"? That's where he is, he's in night court. Stubbs: El Toro, tell me where Al Madril really is, he's not in court. (El Toro shakes his head no) Armando: El Toro speaks no english. He can't answer you. But I assure you he doesn't know. Stubbs: I speak a little espanol, let him tell me in Spanish. (Armando's eyes bug out a bit and El Toro shakes his head no even more emphatically, before Stubbs can continue Guerrero and El Toro rush over and attack Steamboat/Taylor) It's a wild melee, Stubbs tells Platt to go to break while they try to restore order to start the match. ====================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ====================== MAIN EVENT MATCH #5: Vic Steamboat/Chaz Taylor defeated Armando Guerrero/El Toro when Steamboat pinned Guerrero with a small package in 8:11. (There's a bit of pushing back and forth between Armando and El Toro after the loss, but they eventually hug and leave together) ------------------------------------ (Charlie Platt runs down the card for this Thursday night in Birmingham) Southeastern Championship Wrestling Boutwell Auditorium Birmingham, Alabama Thursday January 8, 1991 Bell Time: 7pm **MAIN EVENT** Southeastern Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match Junkyard Dog VS. Southeastern Championship Wrestling presents NEW YEAR'S KNOCKOUT '91 Boutwell Auditorium Birmingham, Alabama Thursday January 1, 1991 Bell Time: 6pm Mr. Olympia II pinned "Rotten" Ron Starr with a backslide. After the match Fidel Sierra hit the ring and attacked Olympia from behind, Starr quickly recovered and joined Starr in double teaming Olympia until "Mean" Mike Miller ran in with a chair, the Mercenaries hold Olympia up by each arm for Miller to hit him. Miller draws back the chair and much to everyone's surprise he cracks Sierra over the head with the chair and then Ron Starr….clearing the "bad guys" out of the ring. Miller then helps Olympia off the mat and helps him back to the locker room and gets a round of applause from the Birmingham fans. Before the next match that was scheduled to be Vic Steamboat vs. Alberto Madril - Attorney at Law, Armando Guerrero came down to the ring and announced that Alberto was "busy with a very high profile important case" but he has sent a "suitable replacement from Mexico", a "famous luchador" known as El Toro. Vic Steamboat wrestled El Toro to a 15 minute time limit draw. After the match, Steamboat grabbed the mic and asked the referee for five more minutes with the masked El Toro who responded with "No mas" and quickly left. (one particularly loud fan was heard yelling, "You're a coward, Madril!" as El Toro left ringside) U.S. Jr. Heavyweight Championship - Rematch Al Madril is banned from the building Armando Guerrero pinned Chaz Taylor in a fast paced match that looked like it was going to end with Chaz Taylor as the new U.S. Jr Champion, but as Chaz went up to the top rope for a dropkick, El Toro ran down and pushed him off as Guerrero had grabbed the ref as he struggle to get back to his feel…..after Chaz crashed to the mat, Armando quickly caught Taylor with an Oklahoma roll to get the pin as El Toro scurried away from ringside Southeastern Tag Team Championship Semi-Final The Party Patrol (Johnny/Davey Rich) defeated Rod Price/Terrance M. Garvin w/Dark Journey when Johnny pinned Garvin with a "Thesz Press" Southeastern Tag Team Championship Semi-Final Team Texas (Jimmy Jack Funk/Killer Brooks) w/RPG defeated Rex King of The Southern Rockers in a handicap match when Funk pinned King after a shoulder breaker. Doll was unable to compete after he suffered a broken orbital bone during the post match attack by the Harris Twins on TV on Saturday Special Challenge Match "Pistol" Pez Whatley fought The Great Kabuki w/RPG to a "no contest" when Whatley and Kabuki were brawling out on the floor and referee couldn't get order restored SEMI-MAIN EVENT Southeastern Tag Team Championship Finals Team Texas (Jimmy Jack Funk/Killer Tim Brooks) w/RPG defeated The Party Patrol (Davey/Johnny Rich) when Gossett distracted the referee and allowing Funk to hit Davey in the head with his cowbell and get the pin to win the Southeastern Tag Team Titles MAIN EVENT Southeastern Heavyweight Championship Junkyard Dog VS. "Flamboyant" Eric Embry w/RPG About 8 minutes into the match, Jamie Dundee came to ringside. Gossett comes over and confronts Dundee and they proceed to argue…..Jamie waves towards the crowd and moments later from out of the crowd comes the Dream Machine, Doug Gilbert, and Dutch Mantell they hit the ring and attack the Junkyard Dog…….Dutch starts choking JYD with his bullwhip as the referee calls for the bell to call for the disqualification on Embry. Embry shoves the Dream Machine asks, "what the hell are yall doing?" Gossett is hilariously chasing Dundee around the ring and about to have a heart attack in the process. Embry shoves Troy Graham again and Doug Gilbert blasts Embry from behind, they start to triple team Embry (JYD has been choked out) Team Texas consisting of Killer Brooks, Jimmy Jack Funk, and Kabuki all run in to even the odds. Pez Whatley runs down and continues his brawl with Kabuki. Meanwhile the brawl continues between the others as security and the other wrestlers come down to try and restore order as the fans start to leave. -

Southeastern Championship Wrestling Ep. 2 From the WTVY Channel 4 Studios in Dothan, Alabama Airing on various stations across Alabama & Mississippi Pre-recorded airing on the weekend of 12/27/90 Host: Charlie Platt Co-Host: Joe Pedicino (the show opens with a montage of random Southeastern Wrestling clips from the different incarnations over the years, we then go to the desk to our hosts Charlie Platt and Joe Pedicino) Platt: Hello and welcome back once again to Southeastern Championship Wrestling, I'm Charlie Platt and it's my pleasure to introduce my co-host the one and only, Joe Pedicino. Pedicino: Thanks, Charlie….what a show we have in store for everyone this week as we will be kicking off the Southeastern Tag Team Championship tournament right here on television with all four first round matches with the semi-finals and finals taking place this Thursday at 'New Year's Knockout' in Birmingham at the Boutwell Auditorium. Platt: Absolutely, after the great Southeastern title tournament that took place last week that saw the Junkyard Dog come out on top as the new Southeastern Heavyweight Champion. (Before Platt could continue, the theme song from "the People's Court" comes over the speakers in the studio and out comes Alberto Madril, Attorney at Law followed closely behind by Ronnie P. Gossett, Ron Fuller comes down from the control room to see what's happening) RPG: As promised, I have brought my lawyer with me, this is Alberto Madril, Attorney at Law…..the best in the business. Madril: Ron Fuller, this man Ronnie P. Gossett should rightfully be the co-host of Southeastern Championship Wrestling and you are discriminating against my client. This is a case of discrimination, segregation, and it's an abomination that he is being discriminated against, because you want to give the job to a disgusting, fat slob like Joe Al-Pacino! Fuller: Madril, I don't know what Cracker Jack box you claim to have gotten a law degree from but I am NOT making Ronnie P. Gossett the co-host of this show! Madril: I OBJECT! Fuller: Overruled! Madril: DAMMIT!! That always happens! RPG: Now you listen to me, Ron Fuller! I suspected you'd pull this crap! I may not be the co-host, yet! But, there's nothing you can do about this…..show him, Alberto! Madril: Show him what? RPG: (looking annoyed) The LICENSE! Madril: Oh….oh…..my mistake. (Madril reaches in his right pocket and hands over a license to Fuller) Fuller: Why are you showing me your driver's license? RPG: Madril, what the hell are you doing?? Madril: OH….my bad. Wrong pocket! (reaches in his left pocket and hands Fuller a different license) Fuller: Ok, so Gossett has a manager's license. Who cares? He doesn't have any wrestlers that I would book. RPG: Oh yes you do, Fuller. One of the teams booked into the tag team title tournament. Killer Tim Brooks and Jimmy Jack Funk are under contract to me. I also have another big surprise for you later in the show. Fuller: If you wanna surprise me Gossett, do a push up or touch your toes. Madril: How dare you speak to my client that way. This meeting is over! Come on Ronald. (Gossett waddles away followed by Madril as the People's Court theme plays again) Platt: Fans, we apologize for Gossett and his alleged attorney interrupting the show. Let's take a quick commercial break and we'll return with our first, first round match in the tag team title tournament. ========================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ========================== SOUTHEASTERN TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT - Round One MATCH #1: The Southern Rockers (Steve Doll/Rex King) defeated The Bruise Brothers (Don/Ron Harris) by DQ when Don Harris hit Steve Doll with a chair while fighting on the floor. Once the bell rang and the Harris Twins heard the outcome they proceeded to attack both King and Doll with chairs until the locker rooms cleared out to help put a stop to this mugging, Platt pitches to a pre-recorded interview with the Junkyard Dog ------------------------------------------- (Joe Pedicino was backstage earlier with the Southeastern Champion JYD) Pedicino: JYD, let me be the first to congratulate you on becoming the Southeastern Champion. JYD: (looks down at the belt on his shoulder) Joe, it feels good to have some gold on my shoulder, but it feels good and it's going to take one helluva man to take this title from me! Pedicino: Well Dog, the man you defeated in the finals, "California Stud" Rod Price seems to think he should be the one to get the first shot at the title. JYD: Well, that's up to Ron Fuller or Jerry Stubbs or whoever makes those decisions. They put the contract in front of me and I'll sign off to wrestle anybody they say deserves a shot. But it seems to me, Rod Price needs to get that little floozy he brings to the ring with him under control where she ain't out there spraying hairspray or whatever that was in his eyes. Pedicino: Good call, Dog. I guess we'll just have to wait and see who the office decides is the number one contender. JYD: Exactly, now if you'll excuse me……it's feedin' time for the Dog! ======================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ======================== (As the show returns, we see Charlie and Joe at the desk but before they can speak, they are once again interrupted by an unexpected guest who is dressed in wild colored baggy pants, and a t-shirt that says "Memphis Mafia" on the front) Platt: (Platt comes around the desk to meet him) I'm sorry, sir. I don't have you on our format. ICE: SIR?? Charlie Platt, don't act like you don't know who I am….you know good and well, I'm Jamie Dundee aka J.C. Ice Baby. Platt: Yes Jamie, I know who you are, but you're still not on my format. ICE: Well, I didn't know if you guys even had a format. You got fat pigs and mexican wannabe lawyers just coming out here lobbying for a job, well I'm wanna throw my hat in the ring. Platt: Hat in what ring? ICE: To be the co-host! I'd be a much better co-host than either of those fat slobs, Gossett or Pedicino! Platt: Listen, Joe Pedicino IS the co-host and that's that. You can call Ronnie Gossett whatever names you want, but you aren't going to come out here uninvited and insult my co-host. ICE: Whose going to do something about it? YOU? (Dundee gets in Platt's face) You gonna stop me, Chuck? (Jerry Stubbs comes rushing out to the desk) Stubbs: Jamie, I told you on the phone already. The position has been filled and even if it wasn't…..this isn't how you go about getting a job. I know your father raised you better than this. ICE: First of all, I'll do things any way I want and the second thing….I wish I could go ONE DAY of my life without somebody throwing my father up in my face. Bill Dundee ain't here, I'm my own man and I do things MY WAY! Stubbs: Well, you can do it your way somewhere else. Don't make me call security. ICE: Hold up, chrome dome. Ronnie Gossett's fat a** ain't the only with a manager's license. (pulls out a manger's license) Read it and weep, Stubby! Stubbs: Big deal, you don't manage anyone who works here, so beat it. ICE: You listen to me Jerry Stubbs, all I gotta do is pick up the telephone and call some of my boys and I'll have the Memphis Mafia down here in Alabama and we'll run this place. Stubbs: Judging by your breath you need to call yourself a cab and get the hell out of here……NOW! (Security along with a local cop come out and remove Jamie Dundee from the studio) Platt: Let's get another tournament match in the ring before another potential "co-host" shows up. ===================== SOUTHEASTERN TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT - Round One MATCH #2: Team Texas (Killer Tim Brooks/Jimmy Jack Funk) w/Ronnie P. Gossett defeated The Rock & Soul Express (J.T. Southern/Derrick Dukes) when Funk pinned Dukes after dropping a knee on the back of his head, after he was tripped by Gossett (After the match, Gossett comes over to the desk and grabs a microphone) Gossett: Was that midget Bill Dundee's midget kid out here running his mouth earlier? Platt: (sighs) Yes….it was. Gossett: That kid is borderline re****** and has a prison cell somewhere already reserved for him. Anyway, I told you I have a surprise and everyone who knows me, knows I'm nothing if not an honest man. Ladies and Gentlemen, if there happens to be anyone watching this show right now. The crown jewel of 'Team Texas', "Flamboyant" Eric Embry! (Eric Embry comes out wearing a singlet, looking significantly heavier than the Alabama/Mississippi fans last remember him, he hugs Gossett and takes the microphone) Embry: A few years ago, I moved to Texas and it was the greatest thing I ever did. I always told myself that I would NEVER come back to Godforsaken places like Alabama….or Mississippi….or even Tennessee…..or Kentucky where I was born and raised but when Ronnie P. Gossett drove to Texas and came to my front door and told me about how Ron Fuller and Special Olympia are jerking him around and not letting him be the co-host of this show as he rightfully deserves to be, well as a born again Texan, I have a duty to go and right wrongs that are being committed against my friends and family and I happen to consider Ronald P. Gossett to be BOTH. So I am here to right that wrong, but first I see another wrong that needs to be corrected. I cannot believe that no one in that so-called title tournament last week was able to eliminate the Junkfood Dog. Ron Fuller, how can you sleep at night knowing you've got a nearly 400lb has-been representing your company as the champion. So, I'm issuing a challenge right now and I saw that interview earlier where JYD said he would sign any contract you put in front of him…..mostly because he can't read. So put a contract in front of him that says Eric Embry gets a shot at the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship on New Year's Day in Birmingham, Alabama! (Embry and Gossett leave back through the curtain) ======================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ======================== SOUTHEASTERN TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT - Round One MATCH #3: The Party Patrol (Johnny/Davey Rich) defeated The Mercenaries (Fidel Sierra/Ron Starr) when Johnny pinned Sierra with a "Thesz Press" to advance in the tournament ======================== (VTR- A clip is shown of the tournament match where the Great Kabuki sprayed Pez Whatley in the eyes with the green poison mist, stealing the win eliminating Whatley from the tournament, Joe Pedicino goes on to announce that Whatley has challenged Kabuki to rematch this Thursday night at New Year's Knockout and Kabuki has accepted) ======================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ======================== MATCH #4: Chaz Taylor defeated The Latin Love Machine by pinfall when Armando Guerrero tried to interfere but was stopped by GM Jerry Stubbs, allowing Taylor to catch Love Machine with a crucifix and get the win. Latin Love Machine tried to attack Taylor after the match but Taylor fought back and removed his mask during the skirmish revealing AL MADRIL! ======================== Charlie Platt runs down the upcoming 'Southeastern on Tour" schedule including: Gadsden, AL Scottsboro, AL Ft. Payne, AL Huntsville, AL ======================== COMMERCIAL BREAK ======================== SOUTHEASTERN TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT - Round One MATCH #5: "California Stud" Rod Price/Terrance M. Plus, my boys Jimmy Jack and Killer Tim will be your Southeastern Tag Team Champions and you will know that TEXAS RULES and we're taking over Southeastern rasslin! Southeastern Championship Wrestling Ep. 1 From the WTVY Channel 4 Studios in Dothan, Alabama Airing on various stations across Alabama & Mississippi Pre-recorded airing on the weekend of 12/20/90 Host: Charlie Platt Co-Host: Joe Pedicino (the show opens with a montage of random Southeastern Wrestling clips from the different incarnations over the years, we then go to the desk to our hosts Charlie Platt and Joe Pedicino!) Platt: Hello and welcome everyone to the return of Southeastern Championship Wrestling, I'm Charlie Platt and it's my pleasure to introduce my co-host the one and only Joe Pedicino. Pedicino: Thank you Charlie, I'm so excited to be here and to be involved in this revival of Southeastern Championship Wrestling, right here in Dothan, Alabama. Platt: I like that term, 'revival'. That's exactly what's happening as we return here to the WTVY studios in Dothan, Alabama and we've got some of the best wrestlers in the country on their way here to compete and right now I want to bring out the promoter and the man who is making all this happen, the one and only 'Tennessee Stud' Ron Fuller! (Fuller comes out in a suit and his signature cowboy hat) Fuller: Thank you Charlie, it's great to back here in Dothan, Alabama where the best wrestling fans in the world reside! (cheap pop from the studio audience, before he can continue Ronnie P. Gossett comes waddling out) Platt: Gossett, what in the world are you doing here? RPG: First of all, that's MR. Gossett to you Charlie Platt! Fuller, you know as well as I do that there was ONE REASON you had success on television with all these different promotions you've ran over the years and that was because I was the co-host! I carried Charlie Platt on my back like he was a casualty of war and when I got wind you were reviving Southeastern, I reached out to you every way I knew how! I called your phone number, I sent letters, I sent four faxes, and checked every arrest record in the Southeastern states and I couldn't track you down until right here TODAY! I will be the co-host of this show! Fuller: (points at Pedicino) As you can see Gossett, I already have a co-host who will be far more professional and do a MUCH better job than you ever have or ever could! RPG: Are you kidding me Fuller? You're trying to revive Southeastern and you bring in this fat slob to be the co-host? He doesn't know a wrist lock from a wrist watch, but I bet he knows the difference between original and extra crispy! Fuller: Gossett, give me a break. You calling somebody fat is like….well, you calling somebody ugly. Take a look in the mirror, tubby! RPG: Ron Fuller, you listen to me you big lanky CON MAN! I didn't come here to be insulted! I know a great attorney and I'll be contacting him about this, but in the meantime…..I still have an active manager's license and I'm going to go round up the toughest bunch of wrestlers I can find and I don't mean any of these deadbeats from Alabama or Mississippi….or even your beloved Tennessee! Oh no, I'm going to a place where the men are men and the women know it….TEXAS! I'll see you soon, you ingrate! (GOSSETT waddles away angry) Fuller: Charlie Platt, can you believe he had the nerve to call ME a CON MAN? Gossett once sold a territory that didn't even belong to him! Well, you go right ahead and bring whoever you can find…..from what I hear you spend a LOT of time hanging out in places where the MEN are MEN and the women aren't welcome, if you know what I mean. Platt: "Oh my" Fuller: Anyway, what I came out here to announce before the doughboy interrupted. Our first event will be on Christmas night at the Boutwell Auditorium and it will be called, "Violent Night". We'll announce some of the names here on TV today that will be competing in a one night tournament to crown a Southeastern Heavyweight Champion. Pedicino: I understand we'll announce some names but there will also be some surprises as well. Fuller: That's right, it's going to be a wild night and we hope everyone comes out to join us on Christmas night, everything in town is closed and you'll be tired of your family by bell time so come on down and join us! Platt: Let's take a quick commercial break and when we return we'll have our first match. ============================= COMMERICIAL BREAK ============================= MATCH #1: The Party Patrol (Johnny/Davey Rich) defeated Tommy Norris/Carl Childers when Davey pinned Norris after a double dropkick ============================= (Joe Pedicino is in the interview area) Pedicino: At this time I want to welcome out the United States Junior Heavyweight Champion, Mando Guerrero. (Mando Guererro comes out carrying the championship belt wearing a three piece suit) Armando: Pedicino, get it right….I go by ARMANDO now. Not Mando. Pedicino: My sincere apologies, I wasn't aware. It's been a while since I've seen you, in fact I don't know if I've been around you since that PWF promotion in Florida a couple of years ago where you were dubbed 'the Opportunist', thanks to your questionable tactics. Armando: First of all, I NEVER use questionable tactics. I never cheat or break the rules….but I will take advantage when an opportunity presents itself. I would suggest you watch your mouth as it pertains to any 'alleged' questionable tactics or I'll be forced to contact my attorney. Pedicino: Ohhh yeah, that's right. Is Al Madril still your lawyer? Armando: That's Alberto Madril, Attorney at Law….and yes, he certainly is! He's never lost a single case! Matlock has nothing on Alberto. Pedicino: Wonderful, let's get down to business. I understand you'll be defending that U.S. Jr. title on today's show against a young man by the name of Chaz Taylor who is a great up and coming star in pro wrestling. Armando: Are you kidding me right now, amigo? Spaz Taylor is a skinny punk kid who doesn't deserve to share a locker room with me, much less the ring….but if Ron Fuller wants me to put this punk kid through the ringer…I will, but you did got something wrong….this is NOT a title match. He's not even a contender and I'm not here to do charity work. So, yes there will be a match with Spaz Taylor….but NO, it's not a title match. You want me to defend my title on your little TV show, find me a REAL contender. You know what….I'm bored…..that's enough of this. Pedicino: There you have it from the United States Junior Heavyweight Champion, let's head back to the ring. ============================= MATCH #2: Terrance M. Garvin w/Dark Journey pinned "Pistol" Pez Whatley with his feet on the ropes Afterwards, Whatley argued with referee Larry Brock that Garvin's feet were on the ropes but Journey quickly shuffled Garvin out of the studio as the show went to break ============================= COMMERCIAL BREAK ============================= (VTR- A highlight video of the Junkyard Dog is shown featuring highlights from throughout his career) ----------------------------------------------- (Joe Pedicino is joined in the interview area by Ron Fuller) Pedicino: Ron, I understand you have another announcement at this time you want to share. Fuller: That's right, Joe. While I am the promoter of Southeastern Wrestling, I can't be at every show and I can't run this thing by myself, that's why I've hired on a familiar face as the 'General Manager' and matchmaker here in Southeastern and I want to call him out here right now, the man many of you may know better as the masked man, Mr. Olympia….but now you'll come to know him more as Jerry Stubbs. (Stubbs comes out wearing a suit with a fedora and shakes hands with Pedicino and Fuller) Stubbs: Thanks Ron, I've somewhat retired from the sport of professional wrestling. I still have a match from time to time on random shows here and there but my days as a full time wrestler are behind me. I appreciate this opportunity and I have a lot of great ideas and plans for the future that I think the fans will find very exciting. Pedicino: That's great to hear, Jerry. I know I'm just as excited as the fans are to see some of these cards you've booked for the towns coming up and I've also heard a rumor that while Jerry Stubbs may have retired, Mr. Olympia may not have retired. Stubbs: (chuckles) Well, Joe I wasn't going to bring that up just yet but since you said it let me clarify something right now. No, I'm not breaking my retirement by donning the Mr. Olympia mask and returning to the ring. However, I was approached by a guy that I've known a long time that I have a tremendous amount of respect for that says he's in the home stretch of his wrestling career and he expressed interest in carrying on the legacy of Mr. Olympia as Mr. Olympia 2. I told him as long as Ron is not opposed to it, it's perfectly fine with me. Fuller: I don't have any problem with it, whatsoever Jerry. If he's half the wrestler you were, he'll be a welcome addition to the roster. Pedicino: There you have it folks, Jerry Stubbs is the new matchmaker and general manager of Southeastern and we will have a new Mr. Olympia in action soon. Let's go to the ring! ============================= MATCH #3: The Mercenaries (Fidel Sierra/Ron Starr) defeated Barney Lunde/Phil Eadie when Starr pinned Lunde after a neckbreaker ============================= COMMERCIAL BREAK featuring a promo for 'VIOLENT NIGHT' taking place on Christmas night at Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham featuring a one night eight man tournament to crown a new Southeastern Heavyweight Champion. Among those competing: the Junkyard Dog, Vic Steamboat, the Great Kabuki, "California Stud" Rod Price, and more! ============================= (Joe Pedicino is in the interview area with Dark Journey & Rod Price) Pedicino: Dark Journey, this man Rod Price will be one of the competitors in the tournament to crown a Southeastern Heavyweight Champion. DJ: No, he won't be COMPETING, because those other seven wrestlers aren't competition for Rod Price, he WILL be winning the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship which in turn will make him a contender for the USWA World Heavyweight Championship and that will be next on our agenda. Pedicino: Rod, you'll be facing Mr. Olympia 2 in the first round. What do you know about the Jerry Stubbs' new protégé? (Price tuns away from Pedicino) DJ: Mr. Price will not speak to you Joe Pedicino, you direct any and all questions towards me. The fact of the matter is we have no clue who this so called, Mr. Olympia 2 is but I know it seems like a conflict of interest that the matchmaker is allowed to put someone he considers a "protégé" into a tournament for the heavyweight championship. We could try to protest or refuse to wrestle this man, but instead….the California Stud is going to beat everyone who steps into his path on Christmas night and his gift to me will be that brand new Southeastern championship belt on my mantle. Pedicino: There you have it from Dark Journey, she has all the confidence in the world in Rod Price and I can't say I'm betting against him. ============================== MATCH #4: United States Jr. Heavyweight Champion - Armando Guerrero vs. Chaz Taylor Recap: Guerrero started out very confident…almost arrogant getting the better of the first few exchanges after locking up with young Chaz. However, after Taylor blocked Mando's attempt at a monkey flip out of the corner, Taylor hit a series of successful moves including two dropkicks a flying crossbody off the top rope. Chaz had momentum going his way until Guerrero finally cut him off with a blatant thumb to the eye. Armando then used the laces of his boots to rake Taylor's eyes again. He followed that up by choking him across the second rope. Amando falls back into being a bit cocky again as he works over his much younger and inexperienced opponent. Guerrero hits back to back snap suplexes. He covers Taylor but pulls him up as the referee counts two. Armando laughs and wags his finger, "no, no, no not yet!" He points to the top turnbuckle. Armando places Chaz up on the top turnbuckle and turns to yell out to the fans, "Now the champ is gonna show you hicks a SUPERPLEX!" Guerrero steps up to the 2nd rope but Chaz blasts him with a big forearm shot that knocks Guerrero down to the mat! As a dazed Guerrero starts to get up off the mat, Chaz comes off the top rope with a sunset flip…..and the referee counts 1--2--3!! The studio crowd goes wild! Chaz quickly slips out of the ring to celebrate with the fans as Armando pitches a "hissy fit" in the ring! Chaz motions towards his waist that "next time I'll take your title!" as he heads back through the curtain. Armando storms over to the commentary desk! Platt: Good thing you didn't put the title on the line today, Mando. Guerrero: First of all, it's ARMANDO! Second of all, that was a fast count from that lousy referee! Where did you find him? Is he from Alabama? This was a setup, Charlie Platt! I'll have my attorney Alberto Madril, Attorney at Law here next week and we're going to sue that referee, we're going to sue YOU, we're going to sue Ron Fuller, Robert Fuller, Kurt Fuller….we're going to sue Jerry Stubbs, we're going to sue all the Mr. Olympias, and we're going to sue Joe Cappuccino, I'll own this place, you hear me?!?! (Armando grabs his championship belt and storms off as the fans mock him and laugh) ================================= COMMERCIAL BREAK ================================= MAIN EVENT MATCH #5: "California Stud" Rod Price w/Dark Journey pinned J.T. Southern with a school boy roll up with a handful of tights ================================= Platt: Rod Price steals one from J.T. Southern, fans join us on Christmas night and find out who will be crowned the Southeastern Heavyweight Champion, plus….just signed by matchmaker Jerry Stubbs, based on today's win here in television, Chaz Taylor will challenge Armando Guerrero for the U.S. Jr. Heavyweight title that night as well!
