  1. another fun show, I've always been a fan of Jamie Dundee and Downtown Bruno, their antics together are can't miss!
  2. Wow, didn't expect Gordy to dethrone Landel, this angle with Buddy Landel, Dick Slater, and Tommy Rich has been a fun ride so far! I would have bet the farm that Keirn and Dundee were bringing home the gold and I never would have imagined that the Assassins would turn out to be Austin Idol and Dutch Mantell! I can't wait to hear the promo that follows this win on television!
  3. Wow, after a long, solid build up WrestleRock thoroughly delivers! What a show from top to bottom! There's was literally something for everybody here but I have to say my favorite was seeing Nikita win the AWA World title here, from everything I've seen Nikita has certainly been booked better in this world than he was in reality. I look forward to watching his title reign unfold.
  4. Wow, I have little to no knowledge of Japanese wrestling (especially the shoot stuff) in this era but you have really hit the ground running and did an amazing job of explaining things and painting a clear picture of who's who and what's what here. I look forward to learning more about it as we move along here.
  5. Great stuff going on in the NWA. I have always loved the Great American Bash ever since the first one I saw (1986) when I was a kid. I'm really looking forward to this one, Brody vs. Blanchard is going to be a spectacle. It feels weird for Flair and Arn to be gone, but man I really feel like this sort of thing is what this type of exercise is all about. Tully Blanchard as the top guy in a promotion with no Ric Flair or Arn Anderson around. He's been great so far and I can only assume he will flourish even more without their shadow being cast.
  6. Stampede drops Abu Wizel and picks up Dennis Condrey
  7. I love seeing a world where Tully Blanchard is NWA Champion and the Great American Bash headlined by Blanchard vs. Brody is what the term dream match" was made for. I can't wait!
  8. Great main event with a that classic Mid South Wrestling feel to it, like Spaldoni mentioned I just knew it was going one way and then I got completely caught off guard by what actually happened. Nothing beats that! The Steiners are on the path to domination and I'm here for it!
  9. Everything for WrestleRock has had such a great build but I genuinely don't know which way this World title match between Nikita and Bad News will go and that's always what makes the most fun to me!
  10. American Meltdown is going to be a can't miss event! I always felt Dan Spivey was capable of so much more in the states than he ever got the chance to do in reality, cool to see him in the mix like this here in WCW.
  11. Buddy Landel wins thanks to Tommy Rich interfering dressed up like a woman, if that ain't Memphis I don't know what is. I look forward to reading this every week!
  12. You've captured the feel of a Bert Prentice show in this era perfectly. Scaffold match is sure to pack them in! Humperdink certainly promises to make things interesting
  13. Stampede releases Bobby Jaggers back to NWA and picks up Frenchy Martin.
  14. Due to some changes in plans Stampede would like to drop Phil Hickerson and pick up Richard Charland.
  15. Terry Gordy has arrived in Memphis and I feel like he would be a good fit here. I agree with Spaldoni, I feel like the simple look between Adrian Street and Rip Rogers will lead to something big.
  16. I like this heel version of Lanny Poffo here. Heel Greg Gagne is fun as well, I really think this could have worked in real life. Dick the Bruiser vs. Bad News is a match I never knew I needed to see, but I'm ready for it now!
  17. Ron Fuller makes his mark very quickly here in the NWA. I'm amazed at how much you have going on here and how well balanced it all is.
  18. Count me among those excited to see the Steiners come together, one of the greatest tag teams of all time! Dr. Death is coming after DiBiase and the Louisana title, what could be more Mid South than that?
  19. Dusty Rhodes and The Road Warriors together for the Match Beyond just feels right. You can never go wrong with Savage vs. Steamboat.
  20. Owen vs Buddy Rose and Pillman vs. Guerrero are must see matches! Bob Holly teaming with Crash Holly in 1988 is fascinating.
  21. I found some old Ozark Mountain Wrestling on Highspots a couple of years ago that Bert Prentice did back in the day, and you've captured the feel of one of his shows very well.
  22. Buddy Landel as champ has a ton of potential, great promo guy! Dick Slater is a great fit for Memphis, it's shocking he didn't spend much time there in real life. I'm looking forward to seeing what Tommy Rich has to say for himself.
  23. Stampede drops Frankie Lancaster to make room for the Stomper incoming from WCCW.
  24. Having just read Bert Prentice's book from Scott Teal recently, I have a special interest in this promotion, going to have go through and get caught up on things and then I'll be back to comment some more.
  25. Barry Windham vs Bret Hart in 1988 would be worth the drive from anywhere, not to mention the Undertaker.
