I think he's asking a genuine question. If you don't want to take a swing at it, someone else might. Explain Devitt the in-ring worker. Why would I do that when all he has done is be difficult for whatever reason about my fairly basic point about Devitt's general standing in the industry? It doesn't really inspire me to go further the topic than I already have when something that is widely known or acknowledged is meant with such resistance or as W2BTD said goading. I don't give a shit about his standing in the industry. Like Tanahashi and Angle before him, I am concerned about his in-ring style because it is his in-ring performance that is being criticized in this thread. I am trying to establish if you are a fan of his in-ring style and WHY and if not, is his appeal simply hometown hero and internet savant? You can call it goading... I call it asking a question to a specific poster looking for a specific answer. When you refused to explain why you like him as a wrestler, I opened it up in the microscope. The whole intent was to move the Devitt hate away from this thread and into the microscope where his in ring merits could be discussed. We had Tanahashi and Angle (who are considered contentious on this board) posts created and people had no problem detailing the positives. So when Loss came to your defense, you are admitting you are not a fan of Devitt's in-ring style?

I was just trying to figure this out... you have to subtract the losses from monthly PPV being free. Since we are looking at domestic numbers only for the 1st year, what is the money generated from Mania until the July PPV for WWE? PPV revenue in the second quarter of 2013 was $37.1 million. PPV revenue from Money In The Bank and SummerSlam was $9.6 million. So in over the same period in 2013 they grossed $46.7 million in PPV revenue. Is that domestic or worldwide?
-
Right, but I am interested to see how many people actually buy the PPV. The low point is like 70 or 80 thousand domestic. Wrestlemania can hover around 1 million. So you are looking at 6 - 60 million in people picking up the channel. over 6 months time. Here are some questions that jdw, mookie, kjh or bix or somebody can answer for me... 1. What percentage does WWe get from its current PPV deal? 2. Since the first 6 month installment goes through 5 PPVs, how many people need to order this thing just on lost PPV revenue from their cable PPVs, assuming that each subscription bought is a PPV purchaser? 3. How many additional non-PPV purchasing subscribers are needed?

What do they like about him... Not his interviews or business plan or whatever Rovert was talking about.. What do they like about his wrestling?
-
Badass man. Be sure to listen to the follow ups.
-
I don't want to hear it from you. I want to hear it from his mouth.
-
So to be clear, you aren't arguing any of the criticisms against his in-ring style in this thread and you support him basically because you are both Irish?
-
And yet there is a thread in the Microscope begging to examine the greatness of Prince Devitt with no takers. Tanahashi supporters and Kurt Angle supporters had no problem jumping in and explaining why they loved those guys. Must be hard for Devitt.
-
YOu forgot the Damian burgers on Prime Time. That was pretty awesome too.
-
Since rovert isn't touching this, does anyone else want to praise Devitt and point to some great matches people should look for?
-
They were doing this as late as the push with Beefcake when the sleeper was his finisher.
-
We know it is a false turn. The question isn't if it is just a temporary heel turn but if it negatively or positively impacts him.
-
I am 99% sure it has to do with the network start date
-
They really need to make Cody and Goldust have a feud because the crowd is getting flat watching the matches. If there was a reason to care besides good matches, I feel like the crowd would blow the roof off the place during these match-ups.
-
This question was posed to rovert by shawmic in the New Japan thread and I thought the thread had the possibility to be derailed by name calling and such. Anyway, rovert, why do you like Devitt? What about his style makes him a good wrestler? What are the best matches you would point to in showing what a great wrestler he is?

Man, that crowd did not know how to react to Bryan tonight. There was a decent No chant early on and then it was just quiet. Felt bad for Rey when he was pointing to the crowd and only three or four people were chanting No at the time.
-
There are only two options because I don't think anyone expects Bryan to stay heel. However, does a heel turn in the middle of the biggest company babyface pops hurt his role as a face?
-
People are already screaming about the falling sky and complaining about his new outfit. Whether it is a complete heel turn or not is not important. What it does to the enthusiasm of his fans does. If it ends up that he turns on the fmaily tomorrow, I will delete this poll because then it doesn't matter.
-
I have been seeing a lot of divided opinions on the net about this one. Will the heel turn make him stronger or kill the momentum he has built up?

Either you moved to your current locale or you've got an interesting story behind that... Yeah, Texas transplant.
