Right! The deal is that the only official release of One Night Only is in PAL. Well, trying to convert PAL to NTSC for the longest time was a bitch. Well, I finally figured out how to do it and while there is still that "look", it really is the best method I have found for the most part instead of trying to watch it through a bad acid trip. As far as the WWEs bleeped out, I don't believe I heard any bleeps at all in the recording. For the Undertaker-Bret hart match, I used the version from the Bret Hart DVD. For Bulldog and Owen's matches, I used the PAL version.

Yeah, it depends what you are looking for. I spent alot of time hunting for the best possible VQ on this stuff. When I sent One Night Only to Dan Ginnetty, he said it was the best VQ he has ever seen on that show. Since I traded that from you at one time, I know it would be a step-up for you . So, as Some Guy can attest to, the VQ is about as good as it gets. For some who have never seen this stuff, it is worth it. If you want to improve VQ, it is worth it.

I usually throw in bonus discs as anyone who has bought or traded with me knows. That would not be a problem.

Who would be interested in a 12 disc Hart Foundation comp that goes from Sur. Series 96 to Sur. Series 97? The last disc is an epilogue of the fallout after Survivor Series. All of the PPV matches are either from DVD or VHS masters. The TV is all 1st gen SP transfers. Everything is VG to EX VQ. If interested, PM me and maybe we can have a discussion on the merits of episodic TV and how it can be done right. However, I need to make sure there is interest in such a comp before I start distributing so I am going to wait for 10 commitments before going further. If that was true, then Akira Taue vs Takeshi Rikio from NOAH 11/5 would be 2005 MOTY. It's a pretty bad match, but the pop for Taue winning the GHC Title is unreal. YEah, and by the same reasoning, Benoit-Malenko from Hog Wild must have absolutely sucked because the crowd did not give a shit about that match.

I don't think we have to do just straight recaps either. For instance, in the Death of WCW, there is no need to tell us the finger poke was a bad move when it is common knowledge. If you look at DA's post, I knew none of those things about Sam Muchnick.

I don't know if he is either to be honest. Still, if the DVD damages any potential worth he has in marketing his name, I can see why he would take legal action.

I disagree strongly with you about #2. Warrior has been responsible for marketing and selling the Warrior name through comics and other merchandise. If the DVD damges his current sales and even his guest speaker appearances then you can make a valid case that the character attacks in the DVD contributed to that.

Below is a quote from DA in the current "Wrestling books that you have read" thread. His post made me think that we should do this for more books. If DA wanted to post importnat facts and passages from Wrestling At the Chase, I am sure that there are other posters who would be willing to do the same with other books. I would recommend not doing this with books like Tributes or Greatest Tag Teams. Instead, I think it would be better if we concentrated on books that are from a specific point of view. I would be more than willing to do any book on my list (preferably one I haven't read). I have Bill Watts' book on the way so that would be a good start for me. DA has already done some great stuff with the Chase book. I know Loss just picked up Death of WCW. I would have picked DK's book but I have a gut feeling wild pegasus would want dibs on that. What do you guys think?

Actually, at this board, I doubt that is the case. In fact, I would venture to say that most people here have NOT seen most of the matches. The WWE matches? Sure. The rest of them... highly unlikely.

Wrestling at the Chase (It couldn't have arrived on a more appropriate day) The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame: The Tag Teams (So far, this looks very interesting. Some of the bios are a little on the short side but it also serves as an introduction to wrestlers and teams I have never heard of or know little about.) Lucha Libre: The Masked Superstars of Mexican Wrestling (The best $17 I have spent so far. This book is a combination of articles on famous lucha stars and photographs captured by Lourdes Grobet. I was a little concerned when I saw all of these Spanish sentences leaping out of the pages but after a couple of minutes I realized that they have every article written in Spanish AND English. Since lucha is my next conquest after Mid South, I think this book will be a valuable resource in hunting some of the stars mentioned.)
