  1. 3 Count v. Jung Dragons - Man, this one is tough because both teams are linked together in WCWs dark years. Hmmm... dancing with Tank Abbott or kung-fu fighting with Ernest Miller? I'm going with kung-fu fighting JUNG DRAGONS Windham & Rhodes vs. Los Guerreros - To be honest, I think the Guerreros are better at fighting each other than fighting together. Windham and Rhodes seem like such a natural fit. WINDHAM & RHODES Booker T & Goldust vs. Nasty Boys - It would be real easy to pick the NAsty Boys but I think Booker T and Goldust had so much charisma and more potential as a team than the fed gave them credit for. I will not penalize them for politics and bad writing. The Nastys had decent runs in both companies but I never cared for him. It doesn't help that their peak was when my interest in wrestling was at an all-time low. BOOKER T & GOLDUST Benoit & Jericho vs. Natural Disasters - I am going on workrate here so Benoit & Jericho is a no-brainer but, again, BEnoit & Jericho are better opponents than teammates. . However, I don't know if I have seen a more physically imposing team than the Disasters. Still, they don't deserve to shine the Canadians' shoes. BENOIT & JERICHO
  2. Well, from Meltzer's account, this was a good show with some bad comedy in the middle. Of course, you knew with the success of the ECW show that they were going to try and load it to the max. It will be interesting to read about the fallout in this week's upcoming Observer.

  9. I don't think we should stretch it out. By the endof the last one, even I was a little burnt out on explaining my decisions.
  10. Well, when I asked if I could take a picture of the belt, he told me to get the hell out of there. I took the picture anyway. Then he gave me the look of death so I just walked off. It was a house show for chrissakes. There were a whopping 500 people there. The show started about two hours late because the ring had not arrived and we stuck around. Off topic: Seeing the ring constructed was pretty neat. I cringe even more at back bumps because I have seen the wooden planks that areplaced under the mat. No wonder guys are scrwwing up thier bodies... just dropping on wooden planks night after night.

  15. I went to a UWF show in 1986 andhot DiBiase's and Terry Taylor's autograph. Later on in the show, DiBiase juiced and I soaked up the blood on a napkin. If anyone wants DiBiase's DNA, let me know. I also too ka picture of the UWF belt on the announcing table and Jim Ross was a complete ass.
  16. The whole situation is so convoluted and absurd. There are better ways of progressing storylines than doing things out of shock value and rendering an entire brand as second-rate.

  18. Good comeback!!! Anyway, I was finishing the recording of WWF 1993-2001 last night as it was. Note to Alex: Your tapes will be sent out either today or Monday.
  19. Just as an aside, it might be punishment for Eddie's behavior at One Night Stand. I doubt it, but you never know with this ass-backwards company. Also, Loss, you were supposed to remind me that SD! was on!!!!

  22. I've watched several things this week... Tommy Young Shoot Interview -- Some interesting notes. Tommy loves Ric Flair. Disliked working with Abdullah and Greg Valentine. Haven't gotten to the bulk of his NWA run. Just watched parts of 123 Kid-Bret Hart. I fell asleep in the middle because I am running on 4 hours of sleep. The loud jingle of the burner woke me up. The last 5 minutes were filled with soem great back-and-forth action.
