ALL JAPAN ON NTV July 30, 1983 TV (Taped on 7/26, Fukuoka) Opening Montage Toshiaki Kawada & Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Nobuyoshi Sugawara & Ultra Seven (Highlights Only) Highlights include Kawada and Misawa doing double team moves like a double suplex, Kawada hitting an enziguiri on Sugawara with Misawa holding his arms, and Misawa being launched by Kawada through the air to nail a flying knee drop. The match ends when Misawa whips Ultra Seven into Kawada’s Jumping Spinning Heel Kick. WINNERS: Toshiaki Kawada & Mitsuharu Misawa Tiger Jeet Singh & Umanoseke Ueda vs. Hiromichi Fuyuki & Great Kojika (Highlights Only) Singh is shown chasing the crowd with his sword. Cut to Ueda hitting Fuyuki with a chair and busting him open. Beak to Singh hitting Fuyuki over the head with his sword as Ueda is choking Kojika in the background. Finally, a clip is shown of the referee trying to separate Singh and Kojika, who are fighting over a chair. In the meantime, Ueda hits a fireball and burns Fuyuki in the face. Fuyuki goes down screaming and Ueda gets the easy pin. Doctors are shown attending to Fuyuki after the match WINNERS: Tiger Jeet Singh & Umanoseke Ueda Jerry Oates & Gerry Morrow vs. Yoshihiro Momota & Mitsuo Momota (Highlights Only) Morrow accidentally hits Oates with a football tackle after MItsuo sidesteps, sending Oates crashing off the apron. Mitsuo is shown hitting a flying clothesline from the top rope on Morrow for a nearfall. Yoshihiro is shown charging the corner and ramming his leg into the turnbuckle. Oates hooks on his Stepover Toe Hold Flip Pin for a nearfall. Oates is shown whipping Yoshihiro into the ropes, Oates drops down, and Morrow comes in and nails a running Yoshihiro with a Football Tackle for the pin. WINNERS: Jerry Oates & Gerry Morrow +++ Mighty Inoue vs. Takashi Ishikawa Inoue comes out running and attempts a couple of shoulder blocks on Ishikawa to no avail. Ishikawa responds with sumo slaps backing Inoue into the corner. He pulls Inoue into the middle of the ring and hooks an abdominal stretch. Inoue eventually escapes and tries to use his speed to evade Ishikawa. Unfortunately, Ishikawa catches him with a knee lift sending him face first to the mat. Ishikawa hooks on an STF, torturing Inoue who finally makes the ropes. Ishikawa whips Inoue to the ropes so he can execute a sumo tackle but Inoue leaps onto his shoulders, hooks a head scissors and take s him to the mat. With the had scissors intact, Ishikawa works to escape as Inoue fights to keep Ishikawa locked. Eventually, Ishikawa is able to maneuver on top of Inoue for a nearfall and Inoue has to abandon the plan. Inoue charges once Ishikawa is up but is nailed with a Sumo Tackle. He staggers up and ends up hooked from behind as Ishikawa nails the German Suplex for the pin. WINNER: Takashi Ishikawa with the German Suplex in 8:11 +++ Genichiro Tenryu vs. Ashura Hara The two friends out of the ring come charging at each other, exchanging move for move… Tenryu chops, Hara chops. Tenryu attempts an enziguiri but misses. Hara responds with the same result. Both men end up exchanging punches, neither giving any ground. However, Hara ends up ending the stalemate with his patented headbutts. Tenryu falls to one knee and Hara continues to headbutt him to the mat. Hara hooks on a chinlock and they stay on the mat. Tenryu regroups, forces his way up and shoots Hara to the ropes. Tenryu hits his enziguiri and Hara just drops to the mat. Tenryu smells blood and grabs Hara and hits a suplex. He hooks him under his arm, and nails a swinging neck breaker, instead of the DDT. He gets a nearfall. He picks Hara up by his permed hair and begins smacking him across the face. Hara is awakened and fights back with headbutts. Hara attempts an enziguiri of his own, Tenryu sidesteps and Allows Hara to fall to the ground. Tenryu falls on him with three back elbows. Tenryu picks Hara up by the hair, hooks his head and nails the DDT for the pin. WINNER: Genichiro Tenryu after the DDT in 13:48 +++ Giant Baba & Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Terry Funk & Billy Robinson - Double DQ All four men begin to fight and the action spills outside. Funk is swinging chairs around, not worrying about who he hits. Robinson and Baba fight through the entrance walk. Jumbo intercepts a chair from Funk and smashes it over Funk’s head. Funk begins to immediately bleed as he rises from the ground. Jumbo grabs Funk by the head and throws him inside. Jumbo attacks the forehead with elbow spikes and punches. He rams Terry’s head into the turnbuckle. Terry does his comedic jelly-leg selling. Baba is tagged in and Jumbo whips Funk into the ropes and Baba nails Funk with the Big Boot. Baba sits down in a headlock and Funk is powerless. Funk tries to escape but Baba uses his super strength in his long muscular arms to hook in the hold and leave Terry in pain. Eventually, Robinson comes in and unloads some forearms into Baba’s head to force a release. Both Baba and Funk tag out. Billy catches Jumbo with a back breaker after Jumbo charged with reckless abandon. Now Jumbo is in trouble, Billy twists and turns plenty of submissions hurting Jumbo’s back. He even uses an abdominal stretch, reaching out for Terry’s hand to gain more leverage. Terry tags back in, blood caked onto his face and he drives Jumbo to the mat, driving his knees repeatedly into the ribs. Terry sits Jumbo in a Boston Crab but Jumbo powers out. Baba and Billy get the hot tags and Baba drops his monster chops on Billy’s forehead. Billy tries to hook Baba’s arm but Baba Is relentless with the chops. Billy unable to escape Baba’s wrath forces both of them out of the ring, off the apron and onto the floor. Both men eventually fall over the rail and Terry and Jumbo go after them and brawl outside. All four men continue to brawl outside and through the crowd. At one point, Billy tosses Jumbo into an entire row of chairs. Baba grabs Terry by the hair and whips him into the back wall of the arena. The referee knows he has lost control of the match and it is thrown out with all men being disqualified. WINNER: Both teams have been disqualified Before signing off, next week’s main event is announced for the NWA International Tag Team Titles… Giant Baba & Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Nick Bockwinkel & Billy Robinson
