Vader and Hashimoto were the big strikers of the match, but it was cool to see Chono attempt to rise to the occasion and hang with Vader. If this happened ten years later, Chono would have probably just Yakuza kicked Vader about 20 times. I loved Chono saving Hashimoto from Bigelow's suplex and Hashimoto's DDT.

[1992-03-08-WWF-Wrestling Challenge] Interview: Jake Roberts
MikeCampbell replied to Loss's topic in March 1992
Hitting the Undertaker was just a little foreplay, that's a little suggestive for 1992. As expected, Jake delivers the goods on the stick to set up the match.- 10 replies

[1992-03-07-WCW-Saturday Night] Public Service Announcement: Brian Pillman
MikeCampbell replied to Loss's topic in March 1992
Well Pillman is a more logical choice for this than Anderson. Pillman also elaborates a bit more as far as him seeing the dangers firsthand.- 8 replies

This was pretty great. Did this wind up leading to anything, beyond Sting being the Captain of the War Games Team?

[1992-03-07-WCW-Saturday Night] Public Service Announcement: Arn Anderson
MikeCampbell replied to Loss's topic in March 1992
This seems like an attempt at a thinly veiled shot at the WWF. And yeah, weird to see it from Double-A rather than a top babyface like Sting, Steamboat, Rhodes, etc.- 13 replies

I'm surprised to hear that Doc and Gordy were already being talked about, I always assumed Watts brought them in since Doc was always one of his boys. This was a cute little segment, but it pales in comparison to the "Update" that the WWF liked to do.

Horner comes off like a total dick in this. He's the one who decided to make the bet, and then he kicks the chair out from under him because Rip was going to win.

This was a pretty good taping for SMW, at least in terms of promos and angles. I've always gotten a kick out of Ron Wright's shtick, and Armstrong reminding Wright that he'd known him for over 20 years and had the scars to remind him was a great touch.

I have to wonder how much Rip's leg muscles were aching after this taping. Way back when I first started Judo I felt like I could barely walk. I got a kick out of Rip interrupting the promo (doing everyone a favor actually).

[1992-03-07-SMW-TV] Interview: Rip Rogers & Dutch Mantell
MikeCampbell replied to Loss's topic in March 1992
Oh man, Rip as a Body Donna would have been awesome. The crowd shots were priceless, especially the women yelling shut up with a few missing teeth.- 10 replies

Fun promo to build up to the match, but I hate how Embry feels the need to elaborate on what anything goes means. Yes, you can use a tree, chain, golf club, etc.

[1992-03-07-USWA-TV] The Moondogs vs Jerry Lawler & Koko B Ware
MikeCampbell replied to Loss's topic in March 1992
The saga continues with another person added to the mix. I'll say this for Kamala, he can't be any worse than JYD, he sold that chair shot from the Moondog perfectly. I bet everyone in MSC was hoping that Kamala would get his hands on Richard Lee. -
[1992-03-07-WWF-Superstars] Sid Justice vs Mickey Jay
MikeCampbell replied to Loss's topic in March 1992
I don't mind Harvey with Sid. Jimmy Hart already had a full stable, Heenan and Slick were phased out, and Tolos was gone. That leaves Fuji, Genius, or bringing in someone new. This was a fun little squash to help build up Sid.- 12 replies

[1992-03-07-WWF-Superstars] Interview: Ric Flair & Mr Perfect

Great Flair promo, you could tell Flair was absolutely loving this angle.- 10 replies

I think my friend Larry put it best on twitter RE: ROH's apology for the iPPV. Every time they issue one, they never really take responsibility for the problem.

This wasn't bad or anything, but it doesn't compare favorably to Hansen/Misawa.

[1992-03-04-AJPW-Excite Series] Stan Hansen vs Mitsuharu Misawa
MikeCampbell replied to Loss's topic in March 1992
This was really good stuff. Misawa's dominance and aggression shows that he clearly has the onions to beat Hansen. It helps that Hansen is more than willing to sell his ass off for Misawa, and make him look that much better. The finish looks more like a fluke than anything else, especially with Misawa having already gotten a rope break after Hansen's lariat.- 18 replies

I loved this. Just a heated, out of control, fight. I liked Loss comparing it to the trios after Santo's turn. Konnan looked like such a tool with that hair. I thought the two UWA trios matches from Feb were better overall matches, but this still scores major points.

Greg Valentine vs. Tito Santana from MSG 10/22/84. Tito's first rematch after losing the IC Title, and going under the knife, and he came ready to throw down. Tito chucks a chair and Valentine taps a gusher.

With how unmotivated and lazy the facepaint and mist made him, I'm thankful that he only trotted it out on occasion. Vader and Bigelow are the ultimate gaijin monster heel tag team.

[1992-03-01-NJPW-Big Fight Series] Masa Chono vs Shinya Hashimoto
MikeCampbell replied to Loss's topic in March 1992
This just didn't click the way I expected Hashimoto vs. Pre Neck Injury Chono. It wasn't bad, and had some fun moments, but it's rather forgettable.- 11 replies

[1992-02-29-UWFi-Sekai Gannen 3rd] Hiromitsu Kanehara vs Masakazu Maeda
MikeCampbell replied to Loss's topic in February 1992
Wow, I really liked this. Both of these two were fighting like they had something to prove. This isn't at all what you'd expect from the opening match between the two green horns. I thought the German suplex spot was strange, since Albright was killing people with suplexes, but in this match a German wasn't even able to soften up someone enough for an armlock.- 13 replies
