Volkoff worked Georgia between Mid-South & WWF. The last GCW booking I have for him is 7/13/84 in Cleveland and first WWF booking I have for him is 7/31/84 in Poughkeepsie.
The 1984-85 season of SNL was one of the greatest ever and Crystal wanted to come back for another season but Ebersol decided to walk away thus ending that happening.
The thing on DiBiase is that he made his rep as a technical wrestler in matches that no one in the internet age has seen in his late 70's-81 work due to the lack of footage. What we do have though is right on point with what Will said.
My favorite was them being kinda shocked that there weren't a ton of signs saying "wrestling" on it because of the name change. Sometimes they are too deep in the forest to see the trees because the bulk of WWE fans don't go online or even care about stuff like that.
I laughed when I saw the headline "Mo Chatra looks like the best matches of 2010" because it's Mo of course and then I clicked on the post and I think he ranked 1000 matches at least 4 stars.
Meltz went in on Robert Fuller as well at this time for his booking of Memphis and he was pretty much universally against active wrestlers as bookers at that time.
The key to this is what jdw said about World Class' glory days and how Meltz was there during that time so of course what they did was going to be compared to that period BUT.............he did have a lot of positive stuff to say about Michael Hayes & Skandor Akbar's booking of World Class in early 1988.
I think Miz will beat Cena somehow at WM since that match isn't last so the babyface would have to win. Miz is gaining steam as a performer they just need to stay the course.
