  1. I posted on Twitter that Anderson Silva yesterday was Roy Jones Jr. in his prime. Fighting and beating tomato cans his way and if everyone wants him to lose so bad, put someone in against him that can do the job. Silva is a ridiculous good fighter and can do what he wants in the Octagon until he meets his Antonio Tarver. Silva playing tennis in the morning of a big fight proves that he knew he could win.
  2. The end of WCW started with the Sting debacle, then onto the total mishandling of Bret, botching the whole Flair/Bischoff angle, Nash beating Goldberg, Finger Poke of Doom. Even after all that they could've bounced back but the roller coaster was on the fast track downhill.
  3. He lost too early and it was the way he lost plus that debacle at the Georgia Dome with Hogan/Nash which I was at live watching the fans there get so disgusted in the wrong way business wise that could've been done a whole lot better.
  4. If they had their shit together booking wise the goose would've kept laying the golden eggs but alas it didn't work. Goldberg was the goose and Kevin Nash drained him dry.
  5. Dusty would use various Bob Seger & Hank Jr. songs also with the best being the live version of Old Time Rock & Roll teaming with Ronnie Garvin as The Risky Business Boys.
  6. They used a lot of commercial songs at house shows until like late 1987. Flair coming out to Easy Lover by Phil Collins & Phillip Bailey against Nikita at the Omni in 1985 was still the all-time best.
  7. Lex Luger had the coolest of the stock themes ever until Sting got his theme in 1989.
  8. Yeah Cade's not always been the best employee over the years so I take his words with a grain of salt.
  9. I bet Wilfried Sauerland has a ton of power with the networks in Germany and yeah I can see him being the main push behind a UFC ban.
  10. Looking back at Luger results from 88-92 when he would work cage matches, the only two guys that he worked cages with were Flair & Windham. I thought he might have worked Hayes but he only did Badstreet matches.
  11. Do the Bret turn after the 1st In Your House PPV as you have him blowoff his feuds with Hakushi & Lawler on that card preferably in a tag match with Diesel on RAW to setup a tag match at King of the Ring with Diesel/HBK vs. Bret/Owen instead of that awful Diesel/Bigelow vs. Tatanka/Sid match. Look at the KOTR PPV alone to see what a terribly booked show that was. HBK doing a draw with Kama, Mabel winning the KOTR against Savio Vega, and so on. The July In Your House you pull the trigger on the Davey turn as he turns on Luger after they lose to Owen/Yokozuna, HBK takes the IC title from Jarrett, and have Diesel defend his title against whichever heel won the KOTR. Go to Summerslam and run Diesel vs. Bret for the title with Bret winning, HBK/Razor vs. Owen/Yoko for the tag titles, Bulldog vs. 1-2-3 Kid. Then you go to the September In Your House where you have your All titles on the line match with Bret/Owen winning the tag titles/IC title from HBK/Razor giving them all the belts as Diesel faces Yoko in the semi-main to blow Yoko off the feud. Next is the October IYH in Winnipeg where you run a six-man with HBK/Razor/Diesel vs. Hart Foundation with Razor getting the fall on Bret. Survivor Series then is set up with Bret vs. Razor, and a Survivor Series match with Diesel/HBK/Kid/Undertaker vs. Owen/Davey/Mabel/Yankem. December IYH in Hershey you run Bret/Owen vs. Diesel/HBK for the tag titles with Diesel going over Bret. Royal Rumble you run Bret vs. Diesel, HBK winning the Rumble, & Razor taking back the IC title from Owen. February IYH you run Bret vs. Taker with Vader coming out costing Taker the match, HBK/Diesel vs. Owen/Davey vs. Razor/Kid for the tag titles where you turn Razor/Kid heel and winning the tag titles. March WM you run Bret/HBK with HBK going over, Razor dropping the IC title to Diesel, Taker vs. Vader Then so on.
  12. A Hart Foundation reunion in 1995 with Bret, Owen, & Davey would've been a much needed breath of fresh air in 1995. Those guys feuding against Diesel/HBK/Razor could've drawn some money with the right booking.
  13. Brian Pillman had his issues with management for sure so I wouldn't be surprised if it was him.
  14. Sharon Sidello being Fifi was a false rumor. I guess my sarcasm didn't shine through on that but the whole Sharon Sidello rise in the company was pretty interesting.
  15. Now I remember it was Sharon Sidello aka Fifi the maid who was Ole's girlfriend.
  16. I'm trying to remember but wasn't Ole's girlfriend in charge of payroll at one time around 1993. I can't remember her name. Regarding Brody, a consensus from what I've heard is that Brody's unwillingness to do business the right way over the entire year of 1988 with WWC prompted the attack as Jose was going to teach him and the boys a lesson but Jose's emotions made him go farther than what he wanted to do.
  17. I loved his Jack Swagger diatribe and how he actually recognized a guest host in Rob Corddry since he was on Daily Show.
  18. Gorilla did do that quite a bit on the Coliseum Video matches.
  19. Dave is being sent to UFC by Yahoo so that takes precedent.
  20. I actually think he may be going in as an announcer.
  21. Bill Goldberg just posted on Twitter that he is in negotiations with WWE and that TNA missed the boat as they didn't even try. This is interesting.
  22. I'm sure the ESPN deal was what was intriguing for Crockett.
  23. Go back to the 1988 Observers. Meltz mentions it a couple of times I think in April or May.
  24. Another thing that doesn't really get talked about is that Crockett was very close to buying World Class in the Spring of 1988 which would've really been something to see with the Von Erichs in JCP.
  25. Dusty hated Terry Taylor going back to 1985 where they had a very bad falling out seeing Taylor return to Mid-South. With the right booking, the UWF could've been made as an equal to Crockett after the buyout, that's the problem because after that they were made completely inferior as Dusty brought in his mid to low carders in there to be equals to the UWF stars.
