  1. The next question is who's next in line for an interview and please don't say Greg Gagne.
  2. Robinson interview is pretty damn good because Billy does all the talking.
  3. MMA is the farthest thing from Cornette's wheelhouse as possible. It's amazing he is spouting that talking point.
  4. My god the overanalysis of last night's RAW on WOL was irritating as shit. Nitpicking over phantom pinfalls and how Show's momentum was killed which it surely wasn't because it took the whole roster to beat him.
  5. I'm getting sick of this "UFC making stars" shit like Ben Rothwell was made a star on the Countdown special and Rua was made a star last night. No one fucking knows who is made until their next fights and if they do business or not.
  6. Lance Cade is back in WWE, just got signed today.
  7. Chico made this statement last night on WOL talking about the Tara/Kim Couture angle and the whole TNA vs. MMA deal being silly due to MMA being an artform not a promotion. "Isn't pro wrestling MMA inside a ring?" Wow
  8. I wonder if Shane would ever have the balls to go up against his dad and open up another promotion.
  9. Of course Meltz is partial to Patterson, he was the top guy for Shire when he started following wrestling in 1970.
  10. I wonder what Tony Geary went through after his Luke character raped Laura on General Hospital.
  11. Heyman booking the Invasion angle would've been a better choice although you can best believe that ECW would've been portrayed as equal to WCW.
  12. The only worthless guest hosts so far have been Sharpton (politically) & ZZ Top (not known for charismatic speaking)
  13. This wasn't in his wheelhouse that's for sure. He would've been better off booking the UWF/JCP invasion that should've happened in 1987.
  14. It also didn't help that Walters singing in real life like his character on TV which he didn't become successful as a singer until playing one on a previous show The Heights where they had a #1 song in How Do You Talk To An Angel as the theme of a show that was cancelled very quickly.
  15. I got that match and I would guess that Will has it too. It was pretty insane crowd heat for sure with Flair cutting one of the all-time great promos.
  16. He's annoying so it all works out in the end. He should just quit writing about WWE and stick to jacking off to UFC.
  17. Do you think a lot of these stories are exaggerated? I'm not saying there weren't incidents in the past, but I think a lot of "the whole crowd wanted to legit kill me" and "I had to run for my life" stories have a big fish element to them. If crowds were as bad as some of the old wrestlers describe, there would've been military troops in riot gear at each show. Too many different people have stories surrounding the Mid-South area and their fans rowdiness in different eras. Police would harass the heels on the roads, fans would chase them out of town, it was pretty bad.
  18. Read the Midnight Express book and look at the stories Corny tells about running the roads of Mid-South fearing for their lives almost every show.
  19. There are towns in Mexico that obviously still thinks its real because there are near riots monthly at independent shows over actions by the rudos. These are mostly small shows in small towns but still. There was a belief back in the day that the undercard matches were always fake but the main events especially with hot angles was real. Whether it be Wahoo/Johnny Valentine, Von Erichs/Freebirds, Wrestling II/Spoiler, Dusty/Pak Song or whatever the action that was going on was real.
  20. I've been contributing lucha news to Dave for 7 years now and I don't have a ballot so I think the word "reporters" is the wrong word.
  21. Punk is his own worst enemy in that locker room like I said on DVDVR he gives plenty of ammo for his haters.
  22. Flair is a Steve Spurrier fan more than anything else and this story is fantastic.
  23. TNA has canned Corny & Road Dogg.
  24. Here are some for Les Les' opinion of the Fuller vs. Bob Roop war of Knoxville. How was it booking the northern tours for Georgia from 82-83. What he thought about the ICW promotional concept in 1985. What he thinks about Flair & Mulligan failing as promoters in Knoxville from 81-82.

    Bash '89

Yes, Bash '89 is a good show, but it's no FIRST SIX MONTHS OF 2007 WWE. It's definitely not UFC 100
