  1. It was a thing here in my living room with me and three 11 year olds who couldn't figure out why Kingston was just standing there and why the ref wasn't doing anything. I read somewhere that on a BTE they showed the Bucks paying that ref. If that's the story, then fine. But they needed to incorporate that into both the commentary and Mox and Eddie reacting to the crooked ref.
  2. Pretty great show. The Cody stuff took all of the air out of it for a bit, and it was a little too long for the kids here, but I get why it was long. I really hated the parts of the Bucks match where the ref is failing to enforce a five count on the Bucks while Eddie just stands there on the apron. That even bothered the kids . They were confused about how the rules work. Me and three kids were agreeing with JR when he complained about it. That stuff aside, we really enjoyed that show.
  3. I'm taking my nephew and his two pals to a WWE show in August. One of the kids who's never been to a wrestling show said "This is the type of match we'll go to get t shirts, right?"
  4. Cody dressed as Homelander from The Boys is a choice.
  5. Eddie's Bad News Bears Jersey is the greatest.
  6. I just saw that SummerSlam is on a Saturday this year, and the next day they're doing a house show here in Denver. It's gonna be fun taking my nephew and his pals to the show. It'll be the neighbor kids first live rasslin.
  7. I was at the Dynamite in Broomfield, CO right before lockdown and it was obvious when we could go get a beer.
  8. Nothing much bothers me anymore, but as already mentioned, guys rolling opponents out of pinfalls to try more splashy pinfalls stinks.
  9. His first wife is pretty awesome, if only because she knows how wrestling is supposed to work.
  10. Really? I'd love some examples. I enjoy Lucha but I don't know much about the political machinations and such outside of the La Parka shit. Mask trademarks seem like a no brainer, now that I think of it.
  11. Oh, I wasn't aware that was his real name. Still, I wouldn't put it past vindictive Vince to try and block someone from using their real name. It's smart that he kept the name and didn't put the mask back on.
  12. So Andrade got his release, didn't have a 90 day, AND he's allowed to use the name "Andrade" still. Nice. I think it's a mix of Flair influence with Vince and company having no ill feelings about a guy who they liked, but felt that the language issue limited him. I recently heard Flair on a Conrad pod say that it was the language thing. Which is stupid, but when was the last time someone was allowed a release with no non compete and use of the trademark name?
  13. That main event was outstanding. The kids here were so invested in Cesaro and were for the first time REALLY into a great match that was long and told a great story. They also were super into Lashley, as I was cheering him, he's awesome, and he's from Colorado. The kids here are Bobby fans. And I've been super down on Dominick but that tag match was awesome and storytelling perfection.
  14. So, I was excited to show my nephew and his five pals a lumberjack match and then that happened. So instead, a better thing happened. They got to learn what wrestlecrap is and sat there making fun of it with me and my friend. Shit, one kid said " This would be ok if it was the Fiend but this is stupid."
  15. "Mothafuckin' Sto-Vo-Kor better get ready. Gowron, your bug eyed bitch ass gonna get fucked up again!" RIP to a guy who I didn't care WHAT he did that was crazy or criminal.
  16. I agree 100 percent with SS up there. I really like the podcast. They didn't do a test show, and just went for it, so the first ep felt like a shoot interview done by someone who isn't a child predator. I didn't know that JJ has never done one. I honestly just assumed he had at some point. After listening to the second one, it's a show that's evolving and so far I figure it's about 80 percent the truth, 15 percent " how ya look at it", and 5 percent bullshit.
  17. Maybe I'm wrong, but I get the impression that Ziggler and Roode are trying to create something with "Dirty Dawgs" after being tossed together because creative had nothing for them as singles, but they're too good not to be used. Kinda like Pillman and Austin in WCW. Dirty Dawgs is not a great team name, but they've gotten matching gear and are trying to get the team over. I dig it.
  18. It's THE grossest thing ever on WWF TV, in my opinion. And as far as who was full of shit or who wasn't in this? It's spread around evenly, I think. As far as Brian's family goes, I feel bad for all of them. Including Melanie. If you don't have sympathy for her after this, you need to reevaluate yourself as a human.
  19. Yeah, but the fact that the recreation implied that his step father was The Motor City Madman had me going "Hmmm.."
  20. Ok. So Meltzer said that someone was full of shit on these episodes. Everyone assumed it was Bischoff. I'm thinking it's Wood. I'm only halfway through ep 1 and he's entertaining as fuck, but I'm not buying that he was in Pillman's ear helping to create the Loose Cannon gimmick. Edit: Well, two minutes later, it is Bischoff still insisting he didn't get worked. But I still think Wood is full of shit as well. Edit again: And Dave just confirmed that Wood is legit. So I'm happy to be wrong. It was Bischoff.
  21. Good. Normally he looks younger. Kidding, Sammy is awesome. So since I can't watch Dynamite since it streams nowhere, can someone hook me up so I can watch this match?
  22. Take a drink every time JR starts a strawman argument with "some people". "I like stuffing more than mashed potatoes. Now SOME people are gonna use that as clickbait, ""Oh, JR hates Idaho. People from Idaho are assholes. Like I'd say that, blah blah PUSH!" It's my only hate listen show. I'm all my years I've never really known an angry stoner, but that's JR.
  23. Holy shit, what an awesome match! And the post match angle was just as good.
  24. Hopefully HHH did it to frame Kevin Dunn and get him canned. The Cerebral Assassin strikes again !
  25. I wonder who got fired for that. I'm sure it's no one anybody heard of. HHH just said that the individual responsible for it was fired.
