  1. Holy shit that Tom Brandi vs Roadblock match was genius!
  2. Naniwa vs La Parka??????? I think we can talk about Sasuke doing very very very well in this.
  3. You can have him for that date! I can't wait for the write up on him!
  4. The Ultimate Warriors vs The Hernan Family from Survivor Series 89 is mine. Maybe my most watched and favourite March ever! Tons of fun and great story telling.
  5. We have to talk about the Super J Cup! The first one was hugely successful in 1994, hosted by NJPW. The second one was to be hosted by WAR in December 1995. WAR has closed, so we have an issue here. I don't think NJPW or AJPW should get it. NJPW already hosted and if AJPW gets it that blocks out NJPW talent from being on the show. That leaves M-Pro, FMW, and UWFi. I would be happy to handle the egos and book every promotion, including American talent for the show. All I would ask is that two FMW talent are on the show and one of them goes to the Semi Finals. Of course I'm talking about La Parka going to the semi-finals and having one of my other guys (Nakagawa, Yasuraoka, or Nakajima) lose in the first round. Anyone else have a better offer?
  6. Haven't had time to post about each promotion, but I did get to read everything up to date. Everybody is doing amazing! Loving the different strategies and types of writing styles and promotions. Keep up the wonderful work.
  7. Lots and lots. Even the WWE had one with WeeLC
  8. FMW Grand Slam, Night 1 September 14, 1995 in Maebashi, Gumma, Japan Maebashi Gym 1. Daisuke Ikdea vs Koji Nakagawa This was a mat heavy based match to showcase that FMW can incorporate that style as well. Ikeda had some vicious strikes to help utilize his shoot style, but Nakagawa countered by working over the leg which lead to the Sharpshooter victory by Nakagawa Result: Nakagawa @ 8:04 via Sharpshooter 2. La Parka & Hanzo Nakajima vs Damian 666 & Yuji Yasuraoka This was a fun flying match to get the crowd going. La Parka came out dancing with a chair and did the La Parka shuffle in the ring, he hit some impressive spots throughout the contest. Damian 666 was more the base for La Parka and Nakajima, but also did an Atsushi Onita impersonation to the delight of the crowd. Nakajima and Yasuraoka did a variety of dives and flips. In the end Parka pinned Yasuraoka with a flying senton. Parka danced in the end and then laid out Damian 666 with a chair, busting him open. Result: La Parka over Yasuraoka @ 9:32 via Flying Senton 3. FMW Grand Slam Brass Knuckles Championship Round Robin Tournament: Big Boss Man [0] vs Mr. Gannosuke [0] In the first match of the Grand Slam Tournament, we had a real slugfest. Gannosuke held his own, but Boss Man had such great punches and even used his knife stick to work over Gannosuke. A Boss Man Slam put Gannosuke away in the end. Result: Boss Man @ 12:51 via Boss Man Slam 4. Megumi Kudo, Combat Toyoda, & Chigua Nagayo vs Takako Inoue, Maymi Ozaki, & Shark Tsuchiya A showcase for the new women entering the promotion. Everyone looked good and hit their spots, however Nagayo got the victory over Shark with a Super Freak II Power Bomb. Result: Nagayo over Shark @ 14:52 via Super Freak II 5. Street Fight: Super Leather & Horace Boulder vs Mitsuharu Matsunaga & Katsutoshi Niiyama A wild and bloody brawl that went all over the ringside with a variety of weapons. Super Leather came to the ring with his chainsaw and cut open a box that was there. Later in the contest he broke the remaining of the box over Matsunaga's head for the win. Result: Leather over Matsunaga @ 12:02 via box breaking 6. FMW Grand Slam Brass Knuckles Championship Round Robin Tournament: Terry Funk [0]vs Jinsei Shinzaki [0] Super Leather stayed at ring side and stayed in Terry Funk's corner for this contest. Funk made Shinzaki look really great. Shinzaki hit the flying space tiger drop and some moves while walking the ropes. Funk was wobbling all over the place for him. In the end, however, Terry Funk hit a moonsault onto a chair for the win. He then taunted Sabu by doing the Sabu pose. Result: Funk @ 14:36 via moonsault 7. FMW Brass Knuckles Tag Team Titles Match: Ricky Fuji & Hisakatsu Oya [c] vs The Headhunters The Champions got destroyed most of the contest with huge moves by the monster team, inlcuding: power bombs, moonsaults, and choke slams. Hunters also used a barbed-wire baseball bat to bust Oya open. After a long face in peril segment, Oya made the hot tag to Fuji who went nuts hitting dropkicks and flying forearms. However Hunters were too strong and laid out Fuji as well. Finally Headhunter B & A both went to the top rope for a double flying headbutt, but Fuji grabbed the barbed wire bat and moved and nailed A with it on his way down and picked up the surprise win with a roll up. Result: Fuji over A @ 11:15 via roll up 8. FMW Grand Slam Brass Knuckles Championship Round Robin Tournament: Hayabusa [0]vs The Gladiator [0] The main event of the evening was a huge brawling table busting epic between these two favourites of the tournament. There was a lot of nearfalls after some huge moves and this could had gone either way. Finally a Super Awesome Bomb from the top through a table was attempted, but Hayabusa countered it with a Super Frankensteiner through that same table for the win. Result: Hayabusa @ 18:04 via Super Freankensteiner Quick Results: 1. Koji Nakagawa made Daisuke Ikdea submit @ 8:04. 2. La Parka & Hanzo Nakajima defeated Damian 666 & Yuji Yasuraoka, when La Parka pinned Yasuroaka @ 9:32. 3. Big Boss Man pinned Mr. Gannosuke @ 12:51 in the Grand Slam Tournament. 4. Megumi Kudo, Combat Toyoda, & Chigusa Nagayo defeated Takako Inoue, Mayumi Ozaki, & Shark Tsuchiya, when Nagayo pinned Shark @ 14:52. 5. Super Leather & Horace Boulder defeated Mitsuharu Matsunaga & Katsutoshi Niiyama in a "Street Fight", when Leather pinned Matsunaga @ 12:02. 6. Terry Funk pinned Jinsei Shinzaki @ 14:36 in the Grand Slam Tournament. 7. FMW Brass Knuckles Tag Team Champions Ricky Fuji & Hisakatsu Oya defeated The Headhunters, when Fuji pinned Headhunter A, @ 11:15 to retain their titles. 8. Hayabusa pinned The Gladiator @ 18:04 in the Grand Slam Tournament. Current Grand Slam Round Robin Standings: 1. Hayabusa [2] 1. Terry Funk [2] 1. Big Boss Man [2] 4. The Gladiator [0] 4. Jinsei Shinzaki [0] 4. Mr. Gannosuke [0] 4. Masato Tanaka [0] 4. Sabu [0]
  9. It did. Born 78, first UFC 93. Come on. You know clearly what he meant, not him at 15 seeing UFC in its first run. UFC after the rule changes being on Spike and such, where you could make a living and showmanship was involved more.
  10. Make sure there is no symbols in the title, that always messes me up.
  11. That's way better than skipping weeks altogether. Really appreciate that.
  12. I agree with Johnny, so it must be true!
  13. They split the rosters. Each show has a women's division, why would each show not have a women's title? Because it makes each title look less important, and the women are the last who need that after the infamous "diva revolution". Of course it's stupid, but you acted surprised. They did the same shit last time, they already created a second World (universal) title for Raw. It's what they do
  14. They split the rosters. Each show has a women's division, why would each show not have a women's title?
  15. I really hope GM Daniel Bryan calls his good friend Brian Kendrick to come on the show and fill time with a match.
  16. First Revolution Pro show is up, I hope you all enjoy!
  17. Welcome to the THUNDER FIRE BOMB REVIEW #13 @!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@! Revolution Pro Wrestling "The Start of Something Big" (9/11/95) (by Phil Dean) This is the new Ian Rotten promotion after he left ECW. The drugs are easily flowing in LA, so it makes sense he would go there to start a garbage promotion there. There seems to be some deal with FMW in place, as this takes place a few days before their tour and the American guys are all over this. Fidel Sierra vs. Flash Flanagan How do you start a new sleaze garbage promotion? You have a Southern sleaze vs Puerto Rican sleaze match! This was mastery sleeze as these do stalled, cheated, and hit each other really hard. Fidel played more of the heel, but Flash was not full on face (how could he be?). This match could had been in Memphis or WWC in the 80s and fit perfectly! Ron Rivera is the commentator and for this match James Mitchell (the former Daryl Van Horne from SMW) is the colour man. Mitchell raves about the women and drugs in LA being so much better than Smoky Mountain. Rivera is a very excitable announcer. The match ends when Sierra misses a lariat and Flash nails a Frankensteiner for the victory. JT Smith vs. Balls Mahoney Balls is Boo Radley from SMW fame, but now is billed as Balls from Nutley, New Jersey. A silly gimmick, but you have to get this tape to listen to James Mitchell's insane commentator about Balls. The match is crazy. They punch each other a lot. JT Smith missed a suicide dive which seemed to knock him out. Balls drug him into the ring and hit a Ball Breaker (sitout spinebuster) for the win. JT Smith may or may not be dead. The Southern Rockers (Steve Doll & Rex King) vs. Pat Tanaka & Ricky Santana This is the old southern style tag with The Rockers working as the heels. By the way, Tanaka & Santana is the southern babyface tag team you never knew you wanted, but you definitely want! Santana played face in peril, Rockers cheated and busted him open with brass knuckles. Tanaka came in as the hot tag. Hit his amazing flying forearm, but the Rockers broke it up. More cheating by the Rockers lead to their cheating win. Looks like this will continue and I can't wait for more. Southern sleazy tags!! Tanaka is still awesome. Santana is a great great babyface and The Rockers are fine as heels. The Brooklyn Brawler's Open Challenge Yes, the WWF's worthless Brooklyn Brawler is here to tell you that LA sucks and NYC rules and that he is the greatest brawler in the world! Look at his name, it says it all. He issues and open challenge and then the lights go out. Brooklyn Brawler vs. Sabu The lights come on and mother fucking Sabu is in the ring. He tosses a chair at Brawler's head and lays him out with a dropkick. He nails him with more chairs and then sets up a chair outside the ring. Sommersault Plancha kills Brawler through the table. Brawler is bleeding everywhere as he is brought into the ring and Sabu does the Triple Jump Moonsault for the win. A bloody killing by Sabu here and it was perfect! Brawler woozily goes to the back and is still claiming he's the best brawler in the world. Mitchell is hilarious here rooting for Brawler and praising his technique. Jinsei Shinzaki vs. Louie Spicolli Two former WWF wrestlers. One has history in Japan and the other in Mexico. This was mighty fine pro-wrestling. Shinzaki hit his cool moves, including the rope walk stuff. Spicolli used power moves like a power bomb and powerslam. Unlike the rest of the show, this was more of a cutting edge match. Lots of heat for this too, as the crazy loved Shinzaki. The finish saw Shinzaki go for a super frankensteiner, but Louie turned it into a super power bomb off the top! Wrestling baby! Louie looks to have a big future as he is young, has a great look, and can really go. Maxx Payne vs. Horace Boulder (No Rules) This was two ugly men punching each other in the face and hitting each other with weapons. It was violent, but mostly kept in the ring. Payne took advantage of chairs and a crutch he stole from someone at ringside. This didn't go too long, but was fun for it's style. Payne was able to make Boulder submit to the Fujiwara armbar after repeatingly beating his arm with the crutch. The State Patrol's Big Surprise Yes it's The State Patrol. They come out and proceed to give one of the weirdest and most bizarre promos I have ever seen. The story, as they tell it, is that The Big Boss Man called them down to Cobb County Georgia. At that meeting Boss Man explained that nobody was enforcing the rules of wrestling anymore. At that point The State Patrol was debutized and was no more. From now on Lt. James Earl Wright has become Major James Earl Wright and Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker is now Captain Buddy Lee Parker. They are no longer The State Patrol, but now are The Federal Patrol. Here in Revolution Pro Wrestling they will make sure the rules are followed. They are the law and order here. They will now leave for the evening, since the main event is a Street Fight with no rules, there is nothing to enforce. They will be back next month to punish The Southern Rockers for the rules they broke tonight. Terry Funk/Super Leather/Ian Rotten vs. Jason the Terrible/The Headhunters (Street Fight) Mitchell left the booth and was in the corner of Jason & The Headunters here. He basically just gave orders and tried not to be killed. He was replaced by Spicolli who did alright. This was exactly what you would expect. Everyone bleed and it went all over the arena. At one point Super Leather dived off the balcony onto The Headhunters. Lots of weapons were used including thumbtacks and a barbed wire baseball bat. Terry Funk was a joy to watch as he and Headhunter B were paired off most of the match. Funk was the star with his comedic wobbly selling, but also just laying into B with great punches. Super Leather came to the ring with his chainsaw and had a stare down with Jason the Terrible. Yes it was Friday the 13th vs. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre live in person. They destroyed each other with weapons all over the place too. The final pairing was Ian Rotten and Headhunter A who used the same crazy weapons, but also did some matwork. Rotten is surprisingly good on the mat, while A is not. There was so much going on through out this match that it was never boring. The camera would take turns on which pair it was showing. The finish saw Terry Funk and Headhunter A both going for moonsaults on their respective opponents at the same time. Funk hit his, while Ian Rotten moved out of the way and then hit A with a fireball for the win. A crazy, bloody, and disgusting match. If you like garbage wrestling you will love this match! Afterwards Ian Rotten got on the microphone and thanked everyone for showing up. He insulted almost every wrestling promotion, but especially ECW for having shitty hardcore wrestling. Rotten said that Revolution Pro Wrestling is on the cutting edge of hardcore wrestling and to prove it they will be back here in LA on October 13th and he is making a challenge to Sabu for a barbed-wire match. The lights go off and when they come on Sabu has appeared. They have a stare off, but the lights go off again and when they come on Sabu is gone. Sabu vs Ian Rotten is going to rule! @!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!
  18. Critiques are one thing and that is fine. My response is to these people who are essentially orgasmic at Punk losing.
  19. The same Joe Rogan who told Punk he greatly respects him and hopes to see him fight again? If the athletic commission allowed someone to fight that shouldn't, that is the athletic commission's problem. You should be ranting to them, not making fun of Punk. He's an asshole, who cares? You don't have to root for him. How is that equivalent at all? That is a beyound horrible analogy.
  20. He got destroyed. Yes. He also had the time of his life. UFC made big man. If UFC is happy with this, if Punk is happy with this, and the fans went nuts in the arena so they seem to be happy with this, what is the issue?
  21. The hate on Punk here and the joy people had at Punk's loss is really pathetic. UFC made big money, Punk worked hard and achieved a dream. Win-win. You may had even a star out of Gall.
  22. Keith Scott's Tidbits for September 10th, 1995. I have it from pretty good authority that Sabu is going to win the FMW title tournament and then challenge Great Muta at the Tokyo Dome in a title v title match. Why else would Sabu leave NJPW for FMW? Big Boss Man has only agreed to go to FMW, because Misawa actually hates him, so AJPW wouldn't give him a job. What I heard is that Misawa likes to speed he hates Boss Man, who might arrest him. Not sure if Boss Man's police authority transfer over to Japan though... It's a weird time to be a hardcore fan with ECW going all pansy bringing in Mexicans and technical wimps and with no Onita anymore. I heard there is a new promotion in LA that Ian Rotten is starting. Revolting Wrestling or something? Maybe there goal is to make the audience puke? I want tapes of that! With Bret Hart going to WCW and Randy Savage going to WWF we are clearly getting closer to the Starrcade/Wrestlemania super show where the two promotions compete. I can't wait! The weirdest thing I heard this week is that Tenryu (yeah the guy from Wrestlemania 7) debuted under a mask in Michinoku Pro. It's a small indie in Mexico. He's wrestling under the name Buffalo Black.
  23. Amazing.. I just assumed Parv took the only two Canadians he knew (Kelly Nelson & Steven Graham) and combined their names....
  24. Graham Nelson from Canada, eh?
  25. I can understand not being impressed by him or thinking he lives up to the hype. I get all that. It's this talk of him being awful or the worse in the tournament that completely baffles me.
