    WrestleMania 32

I think there is a chance we get this, and it would be two million times better. At Fast Lane, Dean wins, (EDIT: Roman) gets pissed and turns heel. Demands Undertaker at Mania to prove himself. WrestleMania 32 Triple H vs Dean Ambrose (World Title) Roman Reigns vs Undertaker Brock Lesnar vs Bray Wyatt AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho Charlotte vs Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch (Divas Title) etc..
  2. https://prowrestlingsuperblog.wordpress.com/2016/01/19/top-100-matches-lists-from-the-pro-wrestling-super-show/ Top 100 Matches (Lists from the Pro-Wrestling Super Show) My List:14) Bret Hart vs Steve Austin (Submission, WWF WrestleMania XIII, 3/23/1997) 8) Bret Hart vs Steve Austin (WWF Survivor Series, 11/17/1996)
  3. To me the greatest feud of all-time. Of course I was 16-17 at the time and Bret was my favourite wrestler, so I might be biased. The two big matches are completely different and two of the best in WWF/E history. They had their all-time great moment at the 97 Rumble when Bret came out, while Austin was alone. The promos were great and everything was hitting on all cylinders. The purpose of this thread is three-fold. 1) Is this the greatest feud ever, if not what was? 2) Favourite parts/memories, etc.. 3) I will be joining Jason Mann on Wrestlespective podcast to do the IYH match and talk about their feud, so if you have any questions for the show you can leave them here.
  4. 64 votes in and Sasha is beating AJ by 2 votes for Most Valuable Wrestler. Go and vote if you want that result changed.
  5. I wonder what his reaction to Wade Keller suggesting that Nakamura debuts on NXT, gets a huge buzz and then on Mania confronts Brock after his match.
  6. Here is fine. Comment on a post or hit me up on twitter.
  7. Bret played the Genie in Aladdin in live theater.
  8. I review Sasha-Charlotte from a fancam in San Jose on 3/28/2015 https://prowrestlingsuperblog.wordpress.com/2016/02/04/sasha-banks-vs-charlotte-wwe-nxt-san-jose-3282015/
  9. Impact Wrestling #2 "Destination X" June 26, 2002 (Taped June 19, 2002) Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville, Alabama An opening video package is played that shows some classic old-school NWA wrestling which then shows the phrase "The Past, The Present, and The Future of Wrestling". The Impact Wrestling logo appears as we enter the arena and get a pyro show. A video highlighting the first round of the NWA X Division Tile Tournament is shown, which includes the brackets and shows an image of the title is aired. Low Ki vs The Amazing Red (NWA X Division Title Tournament: Semi-Final) The match is the same as the match from ROH Road to the Title match (recorded a few days before that). Winner: Low Ki @ 11:16 to advance to the finals of the NWA X Division Title tournament Mike Tenay and Don Callis are at the announce table and rave about the previous match. Jerry Lynn and AJ Styles will have quite the challenge in the finals to defeat Low Ki after that performance. Jerry Lynn vs AJ Styles (NWA X Division Title Tournament: Semi-Final) A more competitive match than the last one, but the Styles Clash gains the victory for Styles. Winner: AJ Styles @ 14:53 to advance to the finals of the NWA X Division Title tournament. Backstage Don West says that the championship committee will review who will be the #1 contender for the NWA World Heavyweight Title later tonight. BG James and Ron Killings approach and demand that one of them get the title shot. If anybody doubts them check out this next match. BG James & Ron Killings vs Cassidy Riley & Chase Stevens A surprisingly competitive match, but the cheating of James and Killings was too much. Winners: BG James & Ron Killings @ 6:06 Jeremy Borash is backstage with "The King of Old School" Steve Corino and CW Anderson. Corino says the only reason they lost last week was, because he was teamed with that fat piece of shit Nelson Knight. Corino is a former NWA World Heavyweight and ECW World Heavyweight Champion and demands the title shot next week. If the Championship Committee does not rule in his favour, then all of Impact Wrestling will pay. Doug Williams vs Norman Smiley A match to help establish Doug Williams. Winner: Doug Williams @ 6:23 NWA World Tag Team Champions The Shane Twins vs Christian York & Joey Matthews The Shane Twins look dominate as Matthews plays face in peril. Of course there is a hot tag and York and Matthews grab the win and titles. Winners: Christian York & Joey Matthews @ 12:42 to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles Ricky Steamboat is backstage with Don West to make the announcement of who will get the NWA World Title shot next week on behalf of the Championship Committee. He mentions the six man tag last week and states that since Jarrett picked up the pinfall victory that he will face Ken Shamrock next week for the title. Jarrett comes up and thanks Scott Hall and Masato Tanaka for helping him to victory and that they will each receive shots once he wins the belt. He is then attacked by BG James and Ron Killings who take out his leg until security pulls them away. Low Ki vs AJ Styles (NWA X Division Title Tournament: Final) They go all out to have a great match and treat both men as equals here as this looked like the first match in a series to come. Winner: AJ Styles @ 19:37 to win the NWA X Division Title As Ricky Steamboat presents AJ Styles with the NWA X Division Title, Mike Tenay and Don Callis hype up next week's NWA World Title match between Ken Shamrock and Jeff Jarrett. That is, of course, if Jarrett can make the match. They have been informed that James Maritato will get a title shot against AJ Styles next week as well as Homicide looking for revenge against The Amazing Red where they both will bring in a tag team as partners in a six man tag match.

    WrestleMania 32

Big E vs Taker might be the best option, as Big E is a guy who should be built up to the top of the company. Plus Xavier and Kofi trolling Taker would rule.
  11. AJPW is fun... but I went with the Zero 1 connection instead.
  12. Where is my Pentagon Jr. vs LA Park brawl???
  13. The other guys are coming, Harris and Storm will get their push. Skipper & Romeo I had forgot about and if they didn't end up in WWE, they will be coming in too. Wanted FBI in that spot, because they were former champions. I really should had done Psicosis on this show, instead of Crazy though. As for Road Dog's name, I was just assuming he picked that name so we will go with that. I have some fun things planned for the Killings/James team going forward. With Jarrett and Hall in there, I wanted the company to feel like a distinct something different than a crappy WCW clone. Maybe too much ECW on this show, but going forward the rest of the roster is not.

    WrestleMania 32

    Coffey is really spot on.
  15. I loved this too. Maximo is one of the most under rated guys around. Moved into my number 3 match of the year.
  16. By the way, great resource here. Lists some stuff I needed to check out, that I missed.
  17. I'd agree with 2001. The Astrodome was huge. Next year in SkyDome, then Sacco Field were big places as well. 2001 is probably the answer.
  18. I have a google sheets document that has two pages. First page is all-time and second page is for the current year. There I list each match I've watched with a star rating over 4 stars. I do this, because my memory sucks.
  19. Dixie from japw and special k. Your points I agree with and will be using.

    WrestleMania 32

I'm not sure Undertaker would decline. 1. He knows how pro wrestling works. You go out on your back and hopefully make a star out of it. 2. Braun Strowman visually is a good matchup for the Undertaker. It'd be monster vs monster and Taker has never had any problem with working those matchups. 3. His desire from the past 5 or so years of having workrate classics are no longer realistic with how broken down he is. Strowman would definitely help set a slower pace befitting a 50 year old. 4. Everyone worth a Taker match right now are guys who's on injury hiatuses. No one that is active and not already assigned different matches by now are guys with the credibility required to work a guy who up til recently had a 20+ winning streak at this event. I don't think its a gpod matchup personally and Strowman would generally fall in the same category as all the other active wrestlers who I just said wasn't ready for it, but obviously he has tremendous size that Vince likes and that usually helps Vince overlook his flaws and gp with the match planning. Besides, Undertaker already feuded with Bray Wyatt so I think Strowman is a logical offshoot of that feud. I can't imagine him wanting Owens, Zayn, Styles, etc. A tag match also doesn't make sense. Unless they kissed and made up that I didn't see, Taker and Brock are supposed to hate each other. Unless we are running a Russo staple (partners who can't get along) it just doesn't make sense. Finally, as just mentioned, they have had a serious case of the injury bug among tbeir workers. They have to find ways to stretch matches out to fill that 4 hour show. Counterpoint. Strowman sucks and is nowhere near ready for a showcase singles match. He might be the worst choice of anybody on the roster.
  21. I've been trying to figure out what to do for fantasy booking. I've been mulling over a bunch of ideas from seeing what would happen if WCW or ECW didn't close to re-doing the brand split. What I have settled upon is taking the TNA concept and going with it. TNA was really a great idea. Start a new national promotion to fill the gap of the dead WCW and ECW. The weekly ppvs was not a horrible idea. Memphis ran weekly shows at the Mid-South Coliseum and did well for decades. However, TNA started with a horrible name, lingerie battle royals and hardcore dwarf matches. It's easy to see why it barley survived. What I am going to do is start TNA over with a new name, but with the same limitations. They will be running the same shows (weekly ppv from Alabama, then Nashville). I'll be doing this at a slow rate, so there will be no schedule. I do have some plans going forward though. The Changes First, the name. TNA is brutal and essentially limits them from the start. Go with "Impact Wrestling", that is perfectly acceptable. Keep the NWA alliance and the NWA World Title, NWA World Tag Titles and the NWA X Division Title. With keeping those titles you can add the tag line "The Past, The Present, and The Future of Wrestling. Of course the talent will be changed as I see fit, including using NWA affiliates like Zero1. That's probably enough blather, let's get to it. Impact Wrestling #1 "Genesis" June 19, 2002 Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville, Alabama An opening video package is played that shows some classic old-school NWA wrestling which then shows the phrase "The Past, The Present, and The Future of Wrestling". The Impact Wrestling logo appears as we enter the arena and get a pyro show. Don West is in the ring and introduces us to Impact Wrestling. He hypes the crowd before throwing it to the commentary team of Mike Tenay and Don Callis. They hype the main event "No Holds Barred" NWA World Title match between Champion Dan Severn and long time rival Ken Shamrock. We are going to start with the NWA X Division Title Tournament. The first round is this week and the semi-finals and finals will be all next week. AJ Styles vs Super Crazy (NWA X Division Title Tournament - First Round) This two have an athletic and exciting back and forth contest that Styles wins with the Styles Clash. Winner: AJ Styles @ 11:15 to advance in the tournament Backstage Jeremy Borash is with Masato Tanaka, Jeff Jarrett, and Scott Hall who were randomly drawn to be a team for a match later tonight. They are not happy to be teaming, but they will put their differences behind them to prove to the NWA championship committee that they each deserve World Title shots in the future. Low Ki vs Dixie (NWA X Division Title Tournament - First Round) A cat and mouse contest where Low Ki eventually gets the Ki Krusher for the win. Winner: Low Ki @ 5:12 to advance in the tournament Jeremy Borash is backstage with BG James and Ron Killings who are mad that they are not on the show. They demand respect going forward. Christian York & Joey Matthews vs James Maritato & Tony Mamaluke (Top Contenders) Callis & Tenay inform us the winners will get a shot at the NWA World Tag Team Champions The Sahne Twins, next week. A southern tag match with a lot of athletics. A miscommunication spot between Maritato and Mamaluke leads to Matthews pinning Mamaluke. Winners: Christian York & Joey Matthews @ 8:06 Don West is backstage with a big bracket board for the X Division Title Tournament. He updates us that Low Ki and AJ Styles have advanced. The winner of the next match faces AJ next week and the winner of The Amazing Red and Homicide faces Low Ki. Jerry Lynn vs Kid Kash (NWA X Division Title Tournament - First Round) This match has more structure than the previous X Division matches with Kash playing the heel. Lynn makes a big comeback and wins with the Cradle Piledriver. Winner: Jerry Lynn @ 12:46 to advance in the X Division Title Tournament We go to a video package showing the weight ins for Shamrock and Severn from yesterday where some sparks flew. Homicide vs The Amazing Red (NWA X Division Title Tournament - First Round) Homicide was over confident and Red gets the surprise win with a hurrancanrana. Winner; The Amazinged Red @ 11:01 Backstage Don West interviews Red and is really excited about the upset. Red wants to ride this momentum to take out Low Ki next week. Steve Corino, CW Anderson, & Nelson Knight vs Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, & Masato Tanaka After a nice shine sequence, Tanaka plays the face in peril. Jarrett and Hall show signs of good teamwork. In the end Jarrett gets The Stroke on Knight for the win. The three men celebrate together. Winners: Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, & Masato Tanaka @ 12:02 Jeremy Borash brings out NWA legends Harley Race, Dory Funk Jr., Jackie Fargo, Bob Armstrong, Corsica Joe, Sarah Lee, Bill Behrens, and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. Steamboat thanks all the fans for their years of support and can not wait to watch two legends like Severn and Shamrock go at it with "No Holds Barred". NWA World Champion Dan Severn vs Ken Shamrock (No Holds Barred) This is worked as a UFC super fight which is quick and aggressive. Severn gets caught in an Ankle Lock and taps out. Winner: Ken Shamrock @ 6:12 to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title As Shamrock celebrates as the new NWA World Champion, Tenay informs us that next week we will have our first over NWA X Division Champion as the tournament concludes. Plus York & Matthews challenge The Shane Twins for the NWA World Tag Team Champions. BG James & Ron Killings will also be in action.

    The Rules

Should be, unless I somehow missed someone.
  24. Steve now has the curse of picking the coolest intro song ever that people are going to constantly ask about it, he posted it in the thread for the last episode Thanks for posting the song. I wouldn't have guessed it being from Taiwan. Searching for lyrics "super show" in google was a really smart decision. Great minds think alike except I didn't think Pete would like the intro song being "Freak of the week" Don't mess with Pete and theme music, I learned that lesson the hard way.
  25. Getting close to 60 votes, thanks to everybody. Keep them coming and vote often. http://placetobenation.com/pwss59/
