  1. I would think if you go through the section where their is individual threads on matches they break them down in a variety of degrees. Reading through those, watch the matches and read the comments. You can also check out the PWO-PTBN podcast network where there are a huge amount of podcasts where they break down matches. I think if you watch a match, read comments and hear comments of people analyzing it you get a good idea about how people do it.
  2. One year? Wow I had no idea.
  3. El Dandy defends the Mexican National Light Heavyweight Title Park is in a cool red variant outfit. The first fall is technical wrestling where Dandy gets the win with a leg submission. It's not the type of stuff you want out of LA Park in 2004, but he is solid enough here. The second fall stats off super fast paced with some great armdrags by Park then a tope into an armdrag on the floor. Park gets a submission of his own for the very very short second fall. Lots of fun, but modern lucha short second fall syndrome here. The third fall is a lot of fun. Lots of dives and big moves, but sold well through out. The ending was interesting as Dandy and Park both take out the other seconds and look to do topes in sequence, until Park turns around and pins Dandy quick. Overall a pretty fun match, but way below any expectations I would have. #wrestling365
  4. I love this. Just watched LA Park vs El Dandy. Great idea Charles. Are we waiting for January for this or is this continuing on from here? It's been so fun I don't want to stop. I am using #wrestling365 on twitter if anybody else wants to join in.
  5. 05-06 I was all in on TNA. They had spent the year building Joe. Great x-divion matches, etc... then the month before their biggest show of the year (and they were building sting-jarrett) joe beats jarrett for no reason and doesn't get the belt. Angle debuts and russo comes in and everything falls apart.
  6. I call shenanigans on Will.
  7. I think Dustin Rhodes is the best tag worker. He doesn't have the matches or amount of great teams that some other might have due to the long singles run, but damn was he a great hot tag and damn was he a great FIP. He made teams with Booker T and Cody Rhodes great and that is not an easy feat.

    What about Flair?

Late to the party like usual, but I'm with Matt here. I think there is a fair number of people who have changed the way they look at tools and such, or even the way they define workrate. I'm one of those people, Matt is, I'd wager someone like Dylan, Steven Graham, and a bunch of others might be as well. I definitely preferred more action in the past, now I prefer more storytelling and selling.
  9. Funny you mention that. Coming soon. A still untitled series where GWE voters come on and make their cases for guys. I am available for Satanico, Hansen, Rose, etc. But I really just wanted to jump in and mention that this thread is full of some really awesome posts. Good stuff everyone. I might need to start this sooner than I thought, because there is a lot of volunteer guests.
  10. Got home late and was tired, so just threw on the SNME from October 14, 1989. Actually felt bad I hadn't had time to watch, so made sure I watched something tonight.

  12. The main culprit is not football or baseball, because those happen every year. The main culprit is the staleness of the show and some horrible booking.

    Sasha Banks

If she keeps this up she will be real high on the next poll, but for this one it's too soon. One great year is not enough.

  16. Don't agree. If they are debating points that others are making that is very fair.
  17. This is a match for people who love Hashimoto beat downs. Early on Corino tries to keep up with Hashimoto's kicks, but Hashimoto is too much. He beats him to a bloody pulp and then the referee stops it and awards the title to Hashimoto. Corino tries a post match comeback, gets beat up again until the locker room saves the day. It goes about 10 minutes, but is a LOT of fun. Corino showed some nice signs as a babyface and Hashimoto is awesome Hashimoto here. #wrestling365
  18. I love Bret Hart's offense. Also Goldberg has amazing power and MMA type moves.
  19. I am happy rejecting a million stupid trades, if you guys want to offer stupid trades.
  20. We do a have a Kawada vs Gary Albright match coming up on the Excite Series Parv. Also, I don't think going 60 is something that is needed. Flair, Harley those guys had way more practice doing it. Kawada does not and quite frankly nobody really should. There is no need to go 60 more than a few times in your career.
  21. For today there is also a Chono-Hogan match on a NJPW dome show. Probably should be on the list. Also, this could be a very helpful resource going forward. http://www.profightdb.com/this-day-in-history.html It lists all the cards taped on that day.
  22. I"ve been mixing my time between stuff for podcasts (current, all japan 90's), mask/hair matches and greatest matches ever watching. I am really on board with mask vs mask, mask vs hair, hair vs hair matches as the best wrestling. Even when the work isn't great, the intensity and emotion is.
  23. Outside of Kawada number one I am not sure. I like Taue the second most, but he is not the second best guy. Really like Kobashi in the 90's, his 2000's work is not my favourite. Probably Kawada, Misawa, Taue, Kobashi... but that can change very very easily.
  24. Let me know if I should accept/reject the proposed trades.
