Plus KENTA is not that young to begin with (he will turn 33 this March) and already had some serious injuries.

[1992-04-05-WWF-Wrestlemania VIII] Hulk Hogan vs Sid Justice
Robert S replied to Loss's topic in April 1992
Knowing what was supposed to happen the finish is even weirder. Papa Shango did not misstime his run-in by a few second but by a minute or so. Whoever was at Gorilla giving Wright the clue when to go hugely fucked up here. -
[1992-04-05-WWF-Wrestlemania VIII] Ric Flair vs Randy Savage
Robert S replied to Loss's topic in April 1992
Did WWE overdub Flair's music here? It sounds like his 00s Zarathustra version with a starting "whooo" instead of the version he was using during this run. Furthermore Fink during Flair's introduction sounded like being in studio (with added echo-effect). -
Embry's promo here was fantastic. "You know I would go to hell and back to win a match. I am the lowest of the low."

This is great. There was not a scrap of kayfabe here, neither from the speaker nor from the promoter, everyone saying that it is just a "Hetz" (fun). -
That slogan sounds for me like they will go the route of trying to sell the size of their library.

There are about 10000 Linda McMahon political campaign jokes that could be derived from above sentence.

That's actually a pretty common spot, at least in lucharesu. In Toryumon this spot happened in almost every multi-man tag team match. Though I agree with you that this is a bad spot (unless it is filled with some comedy like partners lining up on the wrong side of the chain).

I think the idea with Saito is that he was one of the few Japanese guys who managed to be at least a relevant guy in the US for a significant length of time. Due to that he was idolized by a whole generation of wrestlers. Is Sasaki really a worse HOF candidate than Chono?

The things I've said in this thread are along the lines of what I've posted for a decade, and I still get a ballot. Dave really doesn't care about people having differences of opinion with him when they submit a ballot. More than that, he's listened when I've suggested someone being put on the ballot, and pinged me a couple of times on wrestlers other people have suggested. John I think he's talking about the 11 people who voted for AJ Styles Bingo! (thought that was obvious, sorry if it wasn't clear)

11 people obviously didn't want to get a ballot next year.

I completely forgot this survery. This is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. This makes Dana White and his claim that MMA is "the fastest growing sport worldwide" for I don't know how many years seem pretty reputable.

[1992-02-14-CMLL] Bestia Salvaje vs Huracan Sevilla (Hair vs Hair)
Robert S replied to Loss's topic in February 1992
They completely lost me in the second fall with all the heel referee shit. I don't think there is a wrestling gimmick / angle that I hate more than the heel ref. It's usually highly inconsistent (if the ref just wants to screw a guy he can call a finish anytime he likes) and puts the heat on the wrong guy.- 15 replies

This may be my favorite match so far. Armstrong and Hase were absurdely great here, Norton was used in the best possible way and Mutoh... was also there.

The difference is that Switzerland never really had a scene (I think that I ready that Lassartesse tried to build something up at one point but failed) while "Heumarkt Catchen" was a fixture in Vienna for 50 years or so. -

I call bs as there was no reason for her being there except to get thrown into the water.

That Fargo bit sounded more like someone doing a podcast gig than a wrestling promo. It was fun and all but it was more like Fargo talking to two old friends (Lawler & Russell) instead of talking to the crowd.

Back then I did not think twice about how dangerous the Sting dropping from the ceiling stunts really were, but knowing what happened with Owen it is almost hard to watch Sting latch DDP and himself to the rope to pull them up.

According to Foley's first book this interview series was never ment as being part of a face push, which, I guess, is proven by Mankind attacking JR at the end, which seems to be out of line for a baby face turn.

Seeing Dreamer as a heel who destroys a set and attacks non-wrestlers just seems wrong.
