This may be my favorite match so far. Armstrong and Hase were absurdely great here, Norton was used in the best possible way and Mutoh... was also there.

The Beginner's Guide To British Wrestling

The difference is that Switzerland never really had a scene (I think that I ready that Lassartesse tried to build something up at one point but failed) while "Heumarkt Catchen" was a fixture in Vienna for 50 years or so. -

Dory looks like a walking corpse on this picture. -
I call bs as there was no reason for her being there except to get thrown into the water.

That Fargo bit sounded more like someone doing a podcast gig than a wrestling promo. It was fun and all but it was more like Fargo talking to two old friends (Lawler & Russell) instead of talking to the crowd.

Back then I did not think twice about how dangerous the Sting dropping from the ceiling stunts really were, but knowing what happened with Owen it is almost hard to watch Sting latch DDP and himself to the rope to pull them up.

According to Foley's first book this interview series was never ment as being part of a face push, which, I guess, is proven by Mankind attacking JR at the end, which seems to be out of line for a baby face turn.

Seeing Dreamer as a heel who destroys a set and attacks non-wrestlers just seems wrong.

At least until a few years ago the official numbers were often complete fantasy numbers and totally unreliable. And the whole "No Vacancy", "Super No Vacancy", "Super No Vacancy Full House" scale is just plain and simply stupid.

Undertaker using the term "race card" is a proof that WWF wasn't doing everything right at that point, an idea you might get just by watching the Hart Foundation - Austin - HBK stuff.

The stuff with Furnas and Kroffat just seems weired. Why did they interfere and brawl with both factions? I guess the idea behind this is was the battle for the tag team title (Owen and Bulldog were champs, LOD were the top contenders), but still...

It also made Rey look stupid as he did not even bother to think about any backup after what happened a few weeks earlier.

I was surprised about the VQ and sound quality of this. I did not expected this from a 97 indy show.

The problem with this whole question is that it is like comparing apples with oranges. Boxing is a sport, pro wrestling is a form of entertainment where being athletic is a plus but not a necessity. There are pro wrestlers, who have the skills to beat great boxers, most don't.

The way this thing begin I was very close to hitting FF, but when Raven got angry this was actually pretty good for some seconds until it completely fell down a cliff. I could have lived with "end my pain", but "end my life, Stevie" is just too much. It's strange, back in 97 and 98 when Raven joined WCW I thought this was a great character. Either the Raven character is something that resonates very well with 16 year-olds or this was a gimmick that just fit the Zeitgeist.

This was a great visual though probably hell to clean-up. -

And it's really obvious: Having the gimmick math rematch of the PPV main event with maybe a cleaner finish than at the PPV is Russo 101. There was also this camera shot from the ambulance front-row, which probably would not have happened a few weeks earlier. -

Wasn't the TV show called "Garage Wars" or something like that? -
I am not sure if "Wrestling With Shadows" is a great title but it's so much better than the German title of this docu: "Die heimliche Wut des Catchers Hitman Hart", which translates to "The Secret Wrath of the Catcher Hitman Hart".
